And to celebrate the J.G. decided to dig up an interview that was previously unreleased related to holiday. In 1981, George Mihalka's Canadian slasher My Bloody Valentine hit theaters. In the years since it has become a cult classic, enough so, in fact, to get a Hollywood remake in 2009 directed by Wes Craven protege Patrick Lussier & starring heartthrob Jensen Ackles from the hit TV show Supernatural. The original movie, in which a town known as Valentine Bluffs experiences a series of murders seemingly committed by a vengeful, deranged miner known as Harry Warden, has never received a proper sequel. Fans of the movie, however, came together to get a professionally done, feature-length fan sequel. It's called Valentine Bluffs: A My Bloody Valentine Fan Film and even features a guest starring performance from Troma's Lloyd Kaufman as the Mayor of Valentine Bluffs. It features all the bloody mayhem one would expect from a sequel to My Bloody Valentine, and, best of all for fans of 80s horror, features lovingly made practical effects rather than CGI. In this previously unreleased interview, I speak with director and special effects artist Tom Smith and lead actress Rachel Keefe about Valentine Bluffs: A My Bloody Valentine Fan Film in-depth! You can view the fan film for free on Youtube at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RIIOv49awUU. Near the end of the conversation Rachel talks about her upcoming role in Joe Lam's horror movie The Fetus. As it turns out, The Fetus is set to be released next month, March 2025, and, in addition to Rachel Keefe, stars Terrifier 2 and Terrifier 3's Lauren LaVera as well as genre stalwart Bill Moseley from Rob Zombie's House of 1000 Corpses, The Devil's Rejects, and Tobe Hooper's The Texas Chainsaw Massacre! All that and more on this edition of Parallax Views!

Ever found yourself chuckling and shrieking in equal measure during a horror movie? That's exactly what happened when Ana & Jimmy plunged back into the blood-drenched corridors of the 2009 slasher hit "My Bloody Valentine 3D." Join them as they reminisce about the film's notorious 3D effects, which had them wishing they were ducking pickaxes that seemed to want to fly right off the screen. From the star-studded cast, featuring talents like Jensen Ackles and Jamie King, to Patrick Lussier's directional chops, they unpack the elements that made this film a gore-filled roller coaster ride. Then, they talk about the gorilla in the room – or should we say, the gratuitous nudity? They're slicing through the film's more contentious choices, debating the impact of horror tropes on gender portrayal while sharing laughs over the industry's 3D gimmicks. The film's cultural reception gets a thorough examination, as they weigh the critics' eye rolls against the audience's giddy scares. The discussion even gets heated as the film's infamous Valentine's Day massacre, but they promise it's all in good fun.For the grand finale, they don't hold back on their thoughts about the narrative's suspenseful twists and the reveal that made one rethink everything they thought they knew. They dissect the backstory of Harry Warden's rampage and the suspenseful uncertainty that blankets the town. And of course, they couldn't wrap up without debating the film's legacy – was it a horror gem or a one-hit-wonder that never saw a sequel? So, if you're looking for a heart-pounding adventure with a side of nostalgia, you've struck blood, or er-gold, with this episode.Do You Remember Liking This Movie?

Lee and Paul have a talk about a classic slasher shot in Lee's home province of Nova Scotia, "My Bloody Valentine" (1981), directed by George Mihalka. Much of the talk revolves around the restored gore scenes that were cut from the original release, how this film speaks to both Lee and Paul as Canadian and American East coast boys respectively, and the small town East coast economic realities the film may or may not be directly commenting on. And, of course, there's just a lot of geeking-out about how good a slasher it is in general. You could say they mined a lot from this one. Get it? They dug deep? Okay, we'll see ourselves out. The mine collapses, burying six miners alive. The rescue team finds only Harry Warden alive, but in coma, and the other miners murdered by his pickax, and they conclude that Harry killed them to save oxygen for himself. On Valentine's Day, Harry awakes from his coma in the local hospital, and he kills twenty-two people, including a group of teenagers that are partying in the mine. Harry is killed by the deputy, but the only survivors are Tom Hanniger, his girlfriend Sarah, their friend Axel Palmer and his girlfriend Irene. Ten years later, Tom returns to Harmony after the death of his father. Tom has decided to sell the Hanniger Mine, and finds that Sarah has married Axel, who is now the local sheriff, and they have a son named Noah. On Valentine's Day, Harry Warden also returns, seeking revenge against those that had escaped his pickax in the past, and Tom is accused by Axel and other locals, who in turn makes accusations against Axel. My Bloody Valentine 3D is a 2009 American slasher film directed and co-edited by Patrick Lussier, and written by Todd Farmer and Zane Smith from a screen story by Stephen Miller (producer and co-writer of the original film). Serving as a remake of the 1981 Canadian slasher film of the same name, it stars Jensen Ackles, Jaime King, Kerr Smith, Tom Atkins, and Kevin Tighe. The film focuses on the residents of a small town that is plagued by a serial killer in mining gear on Valentine's Day. After filming on location in Pennsylvania, the film was given a 3D theatrical release in the United States by Lionsgate. It was the first R-rated film to be projected in RealD technology and to have a wide release (1,000 locations) in 3D-enabled theaters. My Bloody Valentine 3D was released in the United States on January 16, 2009, by Lionsgate. The film grossed $100.7 million worldwide on a budget of $14 million and received mixed-to-positive reviews from critics, who praised its performances and production values, but some critics found it to be "formulaic" and "generic", criticizing its screenplay, the wooden characters and the 3-D technology. On Valentine's Day 1997, six miners are trapped underground by an explosion at the Hanniger mine in the small mining community of Harmony. By the time rescuers reach the miners, they find only comatose Harry Warden still alive. Further investigation reveals that Warden killed the other miners to conserve oxygen. Tom Hanniger, son of the mine's owner, is blamed for the explosion as he forgot to vent the methane lines that caused the collapse. One year later, Warden has awakened from his coma and is now murdering as an act of revenge. He starts by killing numerous patients and staff at the hospital where he was a patient, leaving a victim's heart in a box of chocolates. While Tom, his girlfriend Sarah, their friends Irene and Axel, and other teenagers party inside the mine, Warden – wearing mining gear and a gas mask – attacks them with a pickaxe. Sarah, Irene, and Axel escape but Tom is left behind with Warden. Sheriff Burke arrives and shoots Warden before he can kill the severely traumatized Tom, but Warden staggers away deeper into the mine.

Twenty years ago, in the sleepy mining town of Valentine Bluffs, a methane gas explosion at Hanniger Coal Mine trapped five miners in a shaftwhen the foremen of the crew left early to attend the town's Valentine's Day dance. Six weeks later, the sole survivor of the accident, Harry Warden, was rescued; he survived by eating his dead coworkers and ultimately had gone mad. After a year in an institution, he escaped on Valentine's Day, killing and cutting out the heart of the guilty foremen, leaving a warning that the same would happen if the town ever again held a Valentine's Day celebration. With the legend of Harry Warden nothing but a distant memory, a group of young miners and their girlfriends decide that the town has gone without a party long enough. As the night of the dance approaches, a murderous maniac in mining gear begins dispatching townsfolk in bloody and creative ways. The town sheriff and mayor quickly deduce it must be Harry Warden, who was returned to the institution, though their attempts to confirm Warden's status are hindered. Despite the murders, the young adults continue with their plans for a dance, laughing off the "stories" of the murderous Harry Warden. Finally the night of the dance is reached and as the Miner dispatches off several partyers, a group decides to venture into the mines to explore and impress the women. Realizing that a killer is on the loose, a rescue party composed of best friends T.J. and Axel go after the others and Sarah, who both men love. The Miner has indeed followed them into the mine, killing most of the group, and forcing T.J., Axel, Sarah and Patty to try to escape. Axel appears to be killed and Patty is murdered as well leaving only T.J. and Sarah. On the surface the Mayor and Sheriff have found out that Harry Warden died 5 years ago and are preparing to lead a group of men into the mines. In the mine, the Miner attacks T.J. and Sarah on a moving rail line and the fight eventually is forced into an abandoned shaft where the integrity of the ceiling is in doubt. The Killer is revealed to be in fact not Warden, but Axel. A flashback reveals that he witnessed the murder of his father, one of the foremen, by Harry Warden when he was a boy. The ceiling then collapses, burying Axel alive. Only his arm is visible, but as rescue efforts are taken it is soon discovered that Axel has cut off his own arm to escape. Through the hole in the wall T.J., Sarah and the police watch as the deranged and delusional Axel runs deeper into the mine calling out to Harry Warden and asking that Sarah be his "Bloody Valentine"

Carrying over last months Appreciation Month topic through the first week of November we bring to you a celebration of 'Single Serving Slashers', slasher movies that never got a sequel. There are plenty of chapters in the sagas of Chucky, Jason, and Freddy; however, we wanted to honor those often overlooked slashers that only graced the screen in one thrilling film. For our 10th episode and quite the heavy hitter when it comes to slashers, we drop the Canadian 1981 gem with "MY BLOODY VALENTINE" from director George Mihalka . This flick tells the tale of legendary Harry Warden and his slaying of anyone who dares to enter his mine? Or is it??? Join our hosts and frequent "Sequel Too, Deja Vu" podcasting partners Cameron Scott and Eric Phillips as they take a deep dive into this 80's classic that just goes to show that Valentine's Day will never be the same again. "It happened once, it happened twice. Cancel the dance, or it'll happen thrice."
Suzi, the artist who drew our logo, joins the crew to discuss George Mihalka's slasher from 1981, My Bloody Valentine. Will there be a Valentine's Day dance after all? Who will Sarah end up with? Why is Hollis best boy? Come on down to the mines to answer these questions and see if we survived Harry Warden!

20 years ago, Harry Warden was trapped in a mine for 6 weeks before being rescued. By then it was too late. But fortunately for us, Harry went nuts and went on a killing spree! Now we get to talk about it on this podcast!Correction: Around the 14min mark, Zach mentions other movies about "blue collar miners" including The Deer Hunter and All The Right Moves. The characters in those two films were actually workers in steel mills. For more How I Met Your Monster, visit us on our website and sign up for our newsletter! Happy Valentine's Day! In this episode, we thought it would be fun to talk about the classic Canadian cult slasher My Bloody Valentine and the 2009 remake My Bloody Valentine 3D. Well, we did the 1981 version last year. So it's time for our first SlashU Extra Credit episode. We jumped to 2009 to cover the My Bloody Valentine remake. Don't worry, we didn't do a side by side comparison of the two movies. That would be boring. Although, if that's what you're looking for, let us know. This more modern version of the mining town classic joins Tom as he returns to town 10 years after a Harry Warden went on a killing spree. Tom is majority owner of the local mine, which provides jobs to a huge portion of the town. Tom's selling his shares in the mine and it's got people angry. Also, terrible killings have started up again. And they're very similar to what Harry Warden did 10 years ago. Is Tom's return to town to blame? He'll have to try and convince his ex-girlfriend that he's innocent. Take a listen and tell us what you think. Follow us on Instagram @SlashU_Podcast and check out www.SlashUPodcast.com for all the details. Happy Valentine's Day! We gather in Santa Mira to discuss the 2001 Scream rip off, Valentine. What's up with Jason Marquette? Do people actually have Valentine's Day parties like this? Who is a better poet, Harry Warden or Jeremy Melton? Where is the supervision for these children at this Valentine's Day dance? Did we need a sequel to this? And how much did 4 screenwriters ruin the plot in this movie? We discuss it all here! Follow us everywhere! Twitter: @SantaMiraADPod Instagram: @SantaMiraAfterDark

Happy Valentine's Day! Just don't throw any parties... or Harry Warden will come for you! Or at least that's what happens in the 1981 cult classic, My Bloody Valentine. Is it deserving of the "classic" status? Or is it just another run-of-the-mill slasher? Amber and Mike dismember it so you don't have to!
With “horror holidays” like Halloween, April Fool's Day, and Friday the 13th routinely being celebrated with 21st Century remakes, it makes sense that someone would dig up My Bloody Valentine in 2009,. Can the censors stop the carnage now that it's flying into audiences' faces via 3-D? And what kills a small town faster - a homicidal maniac stuffing residents' hearts into boxes of candy, or prodigal son Jensen Ackles (Supernatural) closing down the local coal mine? Find out if the hosts are sweet on this second helping of Harry Warden when you Listen Now!

Twenty years after a cave-in turned a coal miner into a cannibal, legendary psychopath Harry Warden returns to paint his hometown red in the 1981 original My Bloody Valentine. So why don't moviegoers associate headlamps and pickaxes with February 14th in the same way hockey masks and machetes signify Friday The 13th? And were the cruelest cuts made by the MPAA, who edited out literal showers of blood in order to give the film an R rating? It has only taken us 300 episodes (and the help of one of our listeners) to get to one of our favourite slashers, 1981's My Bloody Valentine. Adam and Jared descend into the mine and pick through the history and kills of Harry Warden (ably assisted by friend of the show Luke). We also cover off on what we have been watching this past week.
This episode Nez and Taylor team up with Harry Warden to find out which film is the better, Original or Remake of the 1981 and 2009 version of MY BLOODY VALENTINE. My Bloody Valentine (1981) A decades-old folk tale surrounding a deranged murderer killing those who celebrate Valentine's Day turns out to be true to legend when a group defies the killer's order and people start turning up dead. (2009) Tom returns to his hometown on the tenth anniversary of the Valentine's night massacre that claimed the lives of 22 people. Instead of a homecoming, Tom finds himself suspected of committing the murders, and it seems like his old flame is the only one that believes he's innocent. My Bloody Valentine is another slasher from the early slasher days, where the formula is generic, the kills are frequent, and there's probably a boob floating around out there for the dudes in the audience. (1:08) - Intro(11:19) - Trailer(13:30) - Synopsis(16:20) - Review(21:41) - Score(30:44) - Spoilers(1:12:45) - Horror Movie Whooores (1:38:46) - It Came From Social Media(1:46:10) - Outro @dgoebel00 on Instagram provided this amazing artwork. Follow him and check out his website. https://youtu.be/YYHWUP_FKQU Synopsis My Bloody Valentine is the story of a small mining town in the rural US in the early 80’s. This town is celebrating Valentines day for the first time in 20 years. The town is full of young couples who plan on partying during their new Valentines celebration. But everyone seems to have forgotten the reason why this town didn’t celebrate Valentines, because on this day many years ago there was a terrible min accident that left a man named Harry Warden crazy and seeking revenge every February 14th. Everyone ends up with more candy hearts than they bargained for. Review My Bloody Valentine got in near the ground floor of the slasher craze in 1981. This is the same year that Friday the 13th Part 2 and Halloween 2 were released. It was directed by George Mihalka, and manages to be a better than average slasher. My Bloody Valentine has a few things going for it: Interesting settingDecent actingFun charactersGood budgetUnique villain Watch My Bloody ValentineWatch on AmazonBuy Now Unfortunately it just doesn’t set itself apart from the vast array of other slashers very well. For it’s time it was a head above the rest of the competition, and probably one of the most notable slashers behind the big boys. However, today My Bloody Valentine just doesn’t have any memorable moments that make it undeniable. Sleepaway Camp is so over the top and crazy with the pedophiles, and shocking conclusion that it stakes out a spot in your memory. My Bloody Valentine is full of nostalgia, but that’s not enough. Moosehead beer galore; A spectacular mine setting; and a town called Valentine’s Bluffs; please join fellow Friday the 13th / Slasher Film fans Christian Luciani and Vince Franco for their 16th episode of TGIF13, featuring: My Bloody Valentine (1981) in all it’s uncut glory! From the VHS / DVD Description: Twenty years ago, a tragic accident in a mine on St. Valentine’s Day took the lives of five miners. The disaster occurred while supervisors left their post to attend the town’s annual Valentine’s Day dance. The only survivor, Harry Warden, was confined to a mental institution after the ordeal. On the disaster’s first anniversary, he returned to the town for bloody revenge. That was nineteen years ago, and memories have dimmed. Young lovers T.J. (Paul Kelman) and Sarah (Lori Hallier) and friend Axel (Neil Affleck) are among the townspeople attending another Valentine’s party. Then, a box of Valentine candy arrives, containing an ominous message and a blood-soaked heart. Before the night is over, terror will strike again and again and again… Don’t forget to rate us on whatever you listen on, and check out the following links: Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/ThankGodItsFridaythe13th

The Common Craig and Nicole celebrate Valentine's Day with a very common Valentine's Day episode. SO common, in fact, that we just HAVE to cover the original My Bloody Valentine for Valentine's Day! I mean, we don't want to upset Harry Warden, now do we? Just in case we decide to visit a mine in Canada, anytime soon. Hey, you never know! And then from there, because you never know when two white people might want to take a trip to Italy, we should probably investigate the possibility of primordial romance in that area of the world. Primordial romance? Yeah, you read that right. Love is a monster. That's the tag line for the movie Spring. We all know that can be true. But in this case, it's quite literal.

There are not many films that we feel are MANDATORY to be a "true horror fan." Generally, we avoid gatekeeping, but the original My Bloody Valentine is essential. Written by John Beaird based on a story by Stephen Miller, the film fell into undeserved obscurity and suffered due to repeated editing. Director, George Mihalka, has assured that the remastered version released on blu ray is 85% of the original film. The soundtrack was (mostly) written and performed by by Paul Zaza and Marie Bottrell. For some inexcusable reason, despite having the original tracks, Zaza has never formally released the Ballad of Harry Warden by John McDermott. Be sure to treat yourself to googling that jammer of a track once this succulent episode is over. The film was somewhat unnecessarily remade in 2009. The film stars longstanding Supernatural lead, Jensen Ackles. Of note, the show even featured an episode by the name of "My Bloody Valentine." Perhaps the best part of this film is the bit part by the prolific Tom Atkins. He chews the scenery a bit, but his death scene is surprisingly radical. Many of the actors from the original fell into obscurity, though some would grace your screens in such films as Robocop, First Blood, Star Trek: Voyager, and Meatballs. Despite making some serious money, being generally positively reviewed, and setting up a sequel in the final minutes of the film, there has been no remake to the 2009 version. We discuss why. FANS: Actress and L.A. clown scene staple Helene Udy is our bloody valentine this week, as we talk about her roles in early Canadian genre films, meeting and working with Jim Carrey on the set of his first film Rubberface, her stint as Myra on Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman, the weird and wild world of clowns and cabarets, upcoming indie horror projects, and much more! FILMS: Helene Udy was Sylvia in our film our of the week: My Bloody Valentine (1981), and boy does she love this movie! We reminisce without her about her penchant for screaming, Moosehead Lager, the practical locations of Nova Scotia, the Gordon Lightfoot-esque 'Ballad of Harry Warden,' the surprisingly unpredictable answer to the whodunit mystery, the lack of a sequel, and the sheer Canadian branding that exudes from this wonderful early slasher. FINDS: RIP Kirk Douglas and talk of The Final Countdown (1980), Goliath Season 4 news, Brandon Cronenberg's new body horror film with Sean Bean, Chris Rock & Samuel L. Jackson in Spiral (2020), the new entry in the Saw series + JLo's butt.
Join your hosts Rob Galluzzo, Elric Kane, Ryan Turek, and Rebekah McKendry as they welcome special guest George Mihalka, director of the original MY BLOODY VALENTINE, to the show! But first the latest horror! Listen to the gang chat about CURSE OF THE UNDEAD, POSSESSION OF HANNAH GRACE, THE NEW KIDS, Tobe Hooper's I'M DANGEROUS TONIGHT, LUTHER THE GEEK, GOOD LUCK MISS WYKOFF, THE MOLE PEOPLE and much more. Then, the group is joined by filmmaker George Mihalka for a candid chat about humble beginnings in filmmaking, the legacy and cult following of Harry Warden, bouncing back from English genre films to French comedies, and much, much more.
Love is quite the battlefield tonight! Meg seems to have been hit by cupid's arrow. David Boreanaz is on her mind! And somebody sent maggot filled chocolates to Joe. In an attempt to escape the cupid killer, Meg and Joe take refuge in the town of Harmony. The locals were nice enough to invite them to their Valentines Day party. What a nice little town!
We’re celebrating Valentine’s Day and talking about George Mihalka’s 1981 Canadian slashterpiece MY BLOODY VALENTINE!!! Starring Lori Hallier, Cynthia Dale, Paul Kelman and Neil Affleck as young residents of Valentine’s Bluff where 20 years ago Harry Warden killed the heck out of a couple people with a pickaxe on Valentine’s Day and now, on the eve of the first Valentine’s Day dance in 20 years people are being killed at Hanniger Mine. We love this one, and it is Mitch’s favourite slasher movie with one of the nicest, most Canadian, good-intentioned blunders during production. Be our bloody Valentines!
Night Listeners -Happy Valentines Day! I hope you all enjoyed my note from Harry Warden at the beginning of the show. Tonight I popped in a few loves songs from Captain Three Leg, Elizabeth Moen, and well let's call the track from Three Finger Better Betty a love song too (it's probably not a love song for another a human). First time jams tonight from TV Cop out of Ottumwa. They are straight out of the pop punk scene and they remind me a lot of 90s Alkaline Trio or Offspring. The Elizabeth Moen song "Best I Can Do" reminds me a lot of the music heard in the David Lynch film, Wild At Heart. I also got a song off of the second or third When Bitter Spring Sleeps record, Coven Of Wolves. The nature sounds you hear on the track were recorded at Wapsipinicon River Environmental Education Center which is over on the Scott County side of Iowa.Hear us every Thursday at 9PM on 98.9FM KFMG - Des Moines & KCOE - Coe College Cedar Rapids. 7-year-old Al's never seen MY BLOODY VALENTINE (1981), but that doesn't stop him from speculating on who the gas mask-wearing killer Harry Warden might be, based solely on viewing the film's TV trailer and seeing CadaverDad's MY BLOODY VALENTINE T-shirt. So listen in and find out why you should avoid Valentine's Day parties at all costs when Al answers the question: Who the Al is HARRY WARDEN? It's our Valentine's special which means we're all feeling extra filthy as we take on Harry Warden and his big hard pick-axe! My Bloody Valentine (1981) is a Canadian slasher classic, neutered for years by the MPAA before finally being unleashed in all its skin-boiling, heart-ripping glory. It was then remade in 3D with added insipid TV stars and CGI in 2009 - some of us loved it, some of us hated it! But why? And which film comes out on top, the original or the remake? Settle down, shut off your social media and escape the onslaught of Capitalist monsters Clinton Cards and Hallmark and indulge yourself in a rude, funny and utterly terrifying ride through a subversive slash-a-thon. Not only do we take on a slasher giant but I'm dishing the dirt on what connects MBV to gay porn icon Jeff Stryker, Stephen confesses to why he ended up topless being stroked on Snapchat, Martin talks about that time his period was in sync with everyone else in his office, and Jonathan B gives us a fascinating insight into the world of non-female submarines... SPOILERS ahead
Roses are red, violets are blue, Harry Warden is coming for you! To celebrate Valentine's Day today, this week we're talking about the 1981 Canadian slasher My Bloody Valentine! Topics include regional dialects, the geographical definition of a bluff, and the great hot dog debate: boiled or grilled?
Happy Valentine's Day! We love our listeners! This week’s episode is filled with lots of heart, and all the other guts and stuff inside a person as well. We’re in the holiday spirit as we talk about the 2009 slasher remake, My Bloody Valentine 3D. This story is all about a crazy murderous miner name Harry Warden who has killed at least 22 people before going on a decade long hibernation. 10 years after his Valentine’s Day massacre, bodies start showing up that have been killed in a similar fashion to Harry’s victims. The town sheriff must figure out who the killer is and stop him before it is too late. Why doesn’t Tom constantly remind Sarah and Axel that they left him to die? What are the pills Tom keeps taking? How often does Sarah look at that picture of her and Tom? Is this town populated exclusively by attractive young women? Is Harry Warden The Flash? The twist is really dumb, but the movie is lots of fun. Thank you for all of the love you continue to show us. Please rate and review the podcast wherever you get it and if you like the show, share it with your friends. Have a great week.

Holly loses her heart to the holiday slasher My Bloody Valentine (1981). The town of Valentine Bluffs hasn't celebrated Valentine's Day in 20 years, not since miner Harry Warden killed all those people after the cave-in. Now, the residents of this coal-mining town just want to cut loose...but a masked killer appears and starts taking out hearts one by one. Listen as we examine a curious couple of years in film history that spawned dozens of stalk-and-slash masked killer movies, show our love for film-themed end credit ballads, and try out our best Canadian accents on this week's exciting episode! Hey Killers! Love is in the air and a maniac is on the loose... sounds like the perfect Valentine's Day to us. Gena and Patrick put their hearts into this special episode and brought dazzlingly funny Becky Wilson along for the creepy, mine cart ride to talk the '81 Canuxploitation classic My Bloody Valentine. Along the way, we talk "coal miner fetishes," mouth organ duels and bare witness to the worst law enforcement in Kill By Kill history. It's that time again. February. Love is in the air. Declarations of peoples feelings happen in the form of flowers, cards, and boxes filled with internal organs. Welcome to Valentine Bluffs (1981) and Harmony (2009), two small mining towns and murder capitals of America. Invasion of the Remake was brave enough to enter there worlds to see whose Harry Warden is the more efficient killer. My Bloody Valentine (1981) was created to capitalize on the holiday slasher craze that was popular at the time. It was directed by George Mihalka and starred Paul Kelman, Lori Hallier, Neil Affleck, and Keith Knight. 28 years later, at the forefront of the remake craze, was My Bloody Valentine 3D (2009) directed by Patrick Lussier and starring Jensen Ackles (on a rare release from the prison called Supernatural), Jaime King, Kerr Smith, and Tom Atkins. Welcome to another episode of The Behind the Scenes with Eric Fell and Shaun Stewart. It's DVD tuesday and we are checking this weeks big releases, they include Tom Cruises 'Valkyrie', 'Mall Cop' and 'My Bloody Valentine'. Enjoy! At the height of WW2, a group of high-ranking German officers hatched a plot to assassinate Adolf Hitler, and seize power of the military command in order to end the war. The operation was codenamed "Valkyrie", for the emergency plan that was meant to be used in case of a revolt against the Nazi government. This plan had been modified by the conspirators to ensure their success, but for various reasons the plot failed when finally carried out on 20 July 1944. The conspirators of the inner circle were shot after a kangaroo trial or sentenced to death soon after. A single, suburban dad tries to make ends meet as a security officer at a New Jersey mall. It's a job he takes very seriously, though no one else does. When Santa's helpers at the mall stage a coup, shutting down the megaplex and taking hostages (Paul's daughter and sweetheart among them), Jersey's most formidable mall cop will have to become a real cop to save the day. Ten years ago, a tragedy changed the town of Harmony forever. Tom Hanniger, an inexperienced coal miner, caused an accident in the tunnels that trapped and killed five men and sent the only survivor, Harry Warden, into a permanent coma. But Harry Warden wanted revenge. Exactly one year later, on Valentine's Day, he woke up...and brutally murdered twenty-two people with a pickaxe before being killed. Ten years later, Tom Hanniger returns to Harmony on Valentine's Day, still haunted by the deaths he caused.
