Story here: https://www.foxnews.com/politics/ag-pam-bondi-says-some-epstein-files-coming-thursday-its-pretty-sick (7:35am) Aidan Johnston from Gun Owners of America talks about evidence that FBI agents pressured people into signing paperwork that waived their 2nd Amendment rights via the "NICS Indices Self-Submission Form." This form, discovered in 2019, allows individuals to “voluntarily” have their names added to the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS), permanently banning them from purchasing firearms or ammunition. Once submitted, this waiver cannot be reversed. GOA’s investigation reveals FBI agents pressured people into signing this form, often visiting their homes or workplaces and framing it as a means to prevent firearm access for those deemed a danger or mentally unfit. This coercion threatens constitutional rights and due process. Newly obtained documents show the FBI trained agents to use this form, targeting individuals with mental health or substance abuse issues. Emails reveal agents congratulating each other for successfully coercing victims into signing, underscoring the FBI’s disregard for due process. GOA demands immediate action from Congress and the executive branch to stop the FBI from using this form and ensure those affected are notified that they can still legally own firearms. With GOP control in Congress and Kash Patel poised to lead the FBI, GOA is hopeful this abuse can be stopped, and those responsible held accountable. (https://house.mo.gov/memberdetails.aspx?district=100&year=2025&code=R) (7:20am) Wait a minute...our tax money is being spent on what?!?! There's no "aid" in USAID. It's not an aid organization. It's an activist organization spending our money all around the world, and not President Trump has essentially shut it down. "Foundation For Freedom Online" founder Mike Benz describes USAID this way: "There is no aid in USAID. Your brain is being tricked when you see the phrase "USAID." It's not an aid organization. USAID stands for US Agency for International Development. What it's developing internationally is all of the institutions that the State Department needs to use. When they are capacity-building activist groups in a foreign country, it is because the State Department wants those activists there." From The Lion newsletter at ReadLion.com: A new survey shows that more parents than ever are considering alternatives to traditional public schools. A majority of parents in the U.S. reported exploring different school choices for their children last school year. That’s according to the National School Choice Awareness Foundation (NSCAF), which released its annual parent survey in conjunction with National School Choice Week (Jan. 26 - Feb. 1, 2025). How does your state rank in education freedom? In honor of National School Choice Week 2025, one policy group has revealed which states are providing the most education freedom to students. The American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC) has released its 2025 Index of State Education Freedom, providing a detailed analysis of a variety of school choice options in all 50 states. In order, the eight states given top scores were Arizona, Florida, Iowa, West Virginia, North Carolina, Arkansas, Alabama and Louisiana. Eleven states scored highest for homeschooling freedom, including several that are often antagonistic to school choice. Alaska, Connecticut, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Missouri, New Jersey, Oklahoma and Texas all received A’s. This episode discusses Vell's value of privacy in safeguarding the things we cherish most. The Good Read for this episode is The Power of Moments: Why Certain Experiences Have Extraordinary Impact by Chip Heath, Dan Heath. While human lives are endlessly variable, our most memorable positive moments are dominated by four elements: elevation, insight, pride, and connection. If we embrace these elements, we can conjure more moments that matter. What if a teacher could design a lesson that he knew his students would remember twenty years later? What if a manager knew how to create an experience that would delight customers? What if you had a better sense of how to create memories that matter to your children? This book delves into some fascinating mysteries of experience: Why we tend to remember the best or worst moment of an incident, the last moment, and forget the rest. Why “we feel most comfortable when things are certain, but we feel most alive when they're not.” And why our most cherished memories are clustered into a brief period during our youth. What's Popping in Vell's World consists of Monique on Club Shay Shay, more women have come forward about Johnathan Majors, Missouri Rep. Cori Bush is under scrutiny, and more.
