In today's episode, Josh Hillis joins us again for a practical and refreshingly honest conversation about skill-building, emotional eating, perfectionism, and the messy, human reality of behavior change. We dive into what it really means to practice eating skills, why the checkbox is the practice, not the outcome, and how the pursuit of excellence looks a whole lot more like peaceful striving than perfection. Josh breaks down the “training-wheels” approach that helps people build confidence slowly, intentionally, and compassionately, instead of swinging between rigid control and all-or-nothing chaos. You'll hear us talk about emotional eating without shame, how to navigate food without relying on strict diet rules, and why the most meaningful changes happen when you stop waiting to “feel ready” and instead get in the game: fumble around, learn, adjust, and keep going. If you're someone who's been stuck in the cycle of trying, “failing,” quitting, and starting over…this episode is the permission slip and the roadmap you've been searching for.“The checkbox is the practice, not the outcome. The outcome comes later.”- Josh Hillis“The number one predictor of eating-behavior change is willingness to feel..”- Josh HillisThis week on Here's the Deal:Why practicing skills (not accomplishing them) is the real path to sustainable eating behavior change. How pausing before eating builds agency and separates wanting from choosing. Why emotional eating can be intentional, values-aligned, and not something to fear.A training-wheels approach to navigating “trigger foods” without overwhelm or blowouts. How perfectionism leads to more quitting, not better resultsWhat pursuit of excellence actually looks like. Why “easy practice” matters more than tackling the hardest food in the hardest situation. How tracking something (skills, not just calories) helps maintain structure without slipping into diet culture. Why the magic happens when you allow yourself to learn, fumble, and layer skills over time—with patience and compassion.Connect with Josh Hillis:Cravings, Emotionally Flexibility, and Your Goals with Josh HillisJosh Hillis on InstagramJosh Hillis WebsiteEating Skills Class: Three Foundational SkillsFat Loss Happens on a Monday BookLean and Strong BookThanks for tuning in to this week's episode of Here's the Deal: Fitness, Nutrition, and Mindset for People Who Don't Want Life to Suck, where we challenge the common understanding of what it means and what it takes to be fit and healthy! Hey loves, this one's raw. It's tender. And honestly, it's been a long time coming. In this solo episode, I'm finally opening up about something I've been quietly navigating behind the scenes for years — my explant journey. Yep. Earlier this year, I made the incredibly personal (and powerful) decision to remove my breast implants after over a decade of living in a body that no longer felt like mine. What started as a few random symptoms — fatigue, eczema, rashes, brain fog — turned into a full-on quest to understand what was really going on in my body. From mold toxicity to thyroid issues and being dismissed by doctors over and over… it wasn't until I started listening to my own body's whispers that I realized — something deeper needed healing. If you've ever struggled with trusting your intuition, healing from something invisible, or feeling like your truth doesn't fit into the medical mold — this is for you. What you'll get out of this episode… Why I got implants in the first place (and what they meant to me back then)The slow unraveling of my health, the gaslighting, and the “everything looks normal” resultsWhat years of research, expert interviews, and joining online BII communities with 190,000+ women taught meWhat finally gave me the courage to book the explant surgery — and what I wish I knew soonerThe deep spiritual rebirth and reclaiming of my body that followedHow to choose the right explant surgeon and what every woman should know before surgeryThis Episode Is Sponsored by Health NagFeeling bloated, sluggish, or just off? In this powerful coaching episode of Passionate & Prosperous, I sit down with wellness coach Laurie Moser for a conversation that goes way beyond just “how to talk about your business.” We explore the real, layered journey of turning your lived experience and passion into a message and offer that truly resonate—with your clients and with yourself.Laurie works with moms of teens navigating mental health challenges, and in this session, she bravely opens up about the struggle so many coaches face: knowing they're here to help people, but not feeling confident in how to communicate their value or what they're really offering.Over the course of our coaching, you'll hear her shift from uncertainty and vague language to clarity and conviction—not just in what she wants to say, but in who she is as a coach and business owner. Together, we unpack why “self-care” and “support” aren't enough to sell the transformation, and how to dig deeper into the outcomes her ideal clients are desperate for. This is your chance to be a fly on the wall for a real coaching conversation—where we talk through the inner doubts, the messy middle, and the actual strategy behind building a business that works. You'll get a front-row seat to what it's like to be coached by me—raw, supportive, honest, and full of heart—and walk away with takeaways you can apply to your own message and offer right now.In This Episode, You'll Learn:Why “helping” and “supporting” isn't the message—transformation isThe shift from talking about tools (like self-care) to speaking about specific, real-life outcomesHow Laurie moved from hesitation to clarity around what her coaching actually doesWhat it looks like to own your lived experience as a core part of your messagingThe power of starting with 1:1 coaching to build your confidence, voice, and processHow to create an offer that reflects your purpose and gets clients resultsWhat it feels like to break through the doubt and finally believe in what you're here to doThis episode is part marketing clarity, part emotional breakthrough, and part business-building inspiration. If the intention behind your action is fear, whether it be fear of judgement, fear of failure, fear of not having enough time, fear of not being worthy or good enough, then the actions we take will be from a place of fight or flight mode, which puts our nervous system into a frenzy and energetically shuts us off from creativity, new ideas, intuition, and inspiration for doing the things that actually move the needle. If you feel like you are doing "all the things" in your business with almost nothing to show for it, today's guest Danya Douglas Hunt is going to flip your thoughts, beliefs, expectations upside down and get you thinking about new intentions you set for your business, new beliefs you learn into, new patterns, and new ways of being... that leads to more fulfillment, more ease, AND more money.Danya is a Mindset Performance coach who draws on her experience as a former Olympic Athletic Therapist and Strength and Conditioning coach to help visionaries, thought leaders, entrepreneurs & experts get out of their own way, bust through income and impact plateaus and become unf*ckwithable.By the time you finish listening, you'll learn:Common money triggers, money beliefs, and ways of working that block small business owners from actually growing their businessHow your subconscious identity affects your thoughts, which affects your intention, which affects your actions, which affects your resultsWhat it feels like to hear your intuition that allows you to play big vs. a "gut" feeling that might actually be driven by fear that keeps you playing smallLINKS MENTIONED IN TODAY'S EPISODELearn more from Danya at https://danyadouglashunt.comFollow Danya on Instagram @danyadouglashuntLEARN MORE FROM MONICA LITTLEWebsite: www.monicalittlecoaching.comInstagram: @monicalittlecoachingWatch the FREE Etsy training to get started today: How to Get Your Products Seen on Etsy!

Jason, who is the former publisher of Automotive News, highlights how Toyota's Akio Toyoda's 100-year vision is a shining example of the kind of foresight and determination the industry needs to prepare for and face these oncoming challenges.Discussing the kind of authentic leadership the automotive industry needs, we hear wisdom from a range of top auto and business leaders, including former Campbell's CEO Doug Conant, HEVO CEO Jeremy McCool, “Godfather of EV” and former Aston Martin CEO Dr. Andy Palmer, and Volkswagen North America's CSMO Andrew Savvas.Tune in to this very special 100th episode of the Automotive Leaders Podcast as Jan sits down with John and Jason to talk about the change the automotive industry is about to undergo. Be sure to listen to the very end of the episode when the guests get personal — and to hear why Jan thinks the automotive world needs more leaders like Ted Lasso.Themes discussed on this episode: The challenge of creating long-running podcasts and build a faithful listenership (with stats to back it up)The importance of servant leadership in a time of monumental industry changeThe uphill battle of changing a century's worth of business processesThe nature of EVs and what OEMs need to do to stay ahead of the gameHow company culture is trickle-down, starting with the boardWhy culture can't change if purchasing and supply chain executives are measured by bottom-line cost resultsWhat the new generation of authentic leaders really need to embody to get themselves etched into the automotive Mount RushmoreWhy there'll be more change over the next seven years than there has been in the last centuryFeatured Guest: John McElroyWhat he does: Journalist, lecturer, commentator, and entrepreneur, John is the influential thought leader in the automotive industry.
