Chapter 13 - Many Meetings ‘There are many powers in the world, for good or for evil. Some are greater than I am. Against some I have not yet been measured. But my time is coming. The Morgul-lord and his Black Riders have come forth. War is preparing!'Q1 - What is Gandalf talking about?‘I suppose not,' said Frodo. ‘But so far my only thought has been to get here; and I hope I shan't have to go any further. It is very pleasant just to rest. I have had a month of exile and adventure, and I find that has been as much as I want.'Caught between fire and water, and seeing an Elf-lord revealed in his wrath, they were dismayed, and their horses were stricken with madness. ‘Who made the flood?' asked Frodo. ‘Elrond commanded it,' answered Gandalf. ‘The river of this valley is under his power, and it will rise in anger when he has great need to bar the Ford. As soon as the captain of the Ringwraiths rode into the water the flood was released. If I may say so, I added a few touches of my own: you may not have noticed, but some of the waves took the form of great white horses with shining white riders; and there were many rolling and grinding boulders. For a moment I was afraid that we had let loose too fierce a wrath, and the flood would get out of hand and wash you all away. There is great vigour in the waters that come down from the snows of the Misty Mountains.'‘Hush!' said Gandalf from the shadows at the back of the porch. ‘Evil things do not come into this valley; but all the same we should not name them. The Lord of the Ring is not Frodo, but the master of the Dark Tower of Mordor, whose power is again stretching out over the world. We are sitting in a fortress. Outside it is getting dark.' ‘Gandalf has been saying many cheerful things like that,' said Pippin. ‘He thinks I need keeping in order. But it seems impossible, somehow, to feel gloomy or depressed in this place. I feel I could sing, if I knew the right song for the occasion.'Q2 - Is Gandalf a killjoy? So it was that Frodo saw her whom few mortals had yet seen; Arwen, daughter of Elrond, in whom it was said that the likeness of Lu´thien had come on earth again; and she was called Undo´miel, for she was the Evenstar of her people.Q3 - I don't know what any of this means, but Tolkien knows how to make a character introduction.Frodo learned that Grimbeorn the Old, son of Beorn, was now the lord of many sturdy men, and to their land between the Mountains and Mirkwood neither orc nor wolf dared to go.Q4 - This guy sounds amazing.Bombur was now so fat that he could not move himself from his couch to his chair at table, and it took six young dwarves to lift him.Glo´in looked at Frodo and smiled. ‘You were very fond of Bilbo were you not?' he asked. ‘Yes,' answered Frodo. ‘I would rather see him than all the towers and palaces in the world.'Bilbo put out his hand. But Frodo quickly drew back the Ring. To his distress and amazement he found that he was no longer looking at Bilbo; a shadow seemed to have fallen between them, and through it he found himself eyeing a little wrinkled creature with a hungry face and bony groping hands. He felt a desire to strike him.Q5 - What does the ring actually do? This was terrifying.Q6 - How do Bilbo and Strider know each other?‘But often I must put mirth aside. Elladan and Elrohir have returned out of the Wild unlooked-for, and they had tidings that I wished to hear at once.'Q7 - What is going on here? They spoke together, and then suddenly it seemed to Frodo that Arwen turned towards him, and the light of her eyes fell on him from afar and pierced his heart. He stood still enchanted, while the sweet syllables of the Elvish song fell like clear jewels of blended word and melody.Q8 - Anyone else get all hot and bothered after this scene?Good night, Frodo! Bless me, but it has been good to see you again! There are no folk like hobbits after all for a real good talk. I am getting very old, and I began to wonder if I should live to see your chapters of our story. Q9 - This chapter hooked me.Chapter 14 - The Council of Elrond‘In that dream I thought the eastern sky grew dark and there was a growing thunder, but in the West a pale light lingered, and out of it I heard a voice, remote but clear, crying: Seek for the Sword that was broken: In Imladris it dwells; There shall be counsels taken Stronger than Morgul-spells. There shall be shown a token That Doom is near at hand, For Isildur's Bane shall waken, And the Halfling forth shall stand.Q1 - What do you think of the Council?Ash nazg durbatuluˆk, ash nazg gimbatul, ash nazg thrakatuluˆk agh burzum-ishi krimpatul.' The change in the wizard's voice was astounding. Suddenly it became menacing, powerful, harsh as stone. A shadow seemed to pass over the high sun, and the porch for a moment grew dark. All trembled, and the Elves stopped their ears. ‘Never before has any voice dared to utter words of that tongue in Imladris, Gandalf the Grey,' said Elrond, as the shadow passed and the company breathed once more. ‘And let us hope that none will ever speak it here again,' answered Gandalf. ‘Nonetheless I do not ask your pardon, Master Elrond. For if that tongue is not soon to be heard in every corner of the West, then let all put doubt aside that this thing is indeed what the Wise have declared: the treasure of the Enemy, fraught with all his malice; and in it lies a great part of his strength of old. Out of the Black Years come the words that the Smiths of Eregion heard, and knew that they had been betrayed: One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them, One Ring to bring them all and in the Darkness bind them.Q2 - What do you think this moment is really about? What does this phrase mean?He could work much mischief still, if he were free. And I do not doubt that he was allowed to leave Mordor on some evil errand.'Q3 - What do you think Gollum's purpose is?‘Not through lack of watchfulness,' said Legolas; ‘but perhaps through over-kindliness. And we fear that the prisoner had aid from others, and that more is known of our doings than we could wish. We guarded this creature day and night, at Gandalf's bidding, much though we wearied of the task. But Gandalf bade us hope still for his cure, and we had not the heart to keep him ever in dungeons under the earth, where he would fall back into his old black thoughts.'Q4 - Do you think Gollum could be made well?‘Very well, very well, Master Elrond!' said Bilbo suddenly. ‘Say no more! It is plain enough what you are pointing at. Bilbo the silly hobbit started this affair, and Bilbo had better finish it, or himself. I was very comfortable here, and getting on with my book. If you want to know, I am just writing an ending for it. I had thought of putting: and he lived happily ever afterwards to the end of his days. It is a good ending, and none the worse for having been used before. Now I shall have to alter that: it does not look like coming true; and anyway there will evidently have to be several more chapters, if I live to write them. It is a frightful nuisance. When ought I to start?' Boromir looked in surprise at Bilbo, but the laughter died on his lips when he saw that all the others regarded the old hobbit with grave respect. Only Glo´in smiled, but his smile came from old memories.Q5 - What do you think of Bilbo here?No one answered. The noon-bell rang. Still no one spoke. Frodo glanced at all the faces, but they were not turned to him. All the Council sat with downcast eyes, as if in deep thought. A great dread fell on him, as if he was awaiting the pronouncement of some doom that he had long foreseen and vainly hoped might after all never be spoken. An overwhelming longing to rest and remain at peace by Bilbo's side in Rivendell filled all his heart. At last with an effort he spoke, and wondered to hear his own words, as if some other will was using his small voice. ‘I will take the Ring,' he said, ‘though I do not know the way.'Q6 - What do you think of Frodo?Elrond raised his eyes and looked at him, and Frodo felt his heart pierced by the sudden keenness of the glance. ‘If I understand aright all that I have heard,' he said, ‘I think that this task is appointed for you, Frodo; and that if you do not find a way, no one will.Q7 - The books give more respect to Hobbits.‘But you won't send him off alone surely, Master?' cried Sam, unable to contain himself any longer, and jumping up from the corner where he had been quietly sitting on the floor. ‘No indeed!' said Elrond, turning towards him with a smile. ‘You at least shall go with him. It is hardly possible to separate you from him, even when he is summoned to a secret council and you are not.'Q8 - Sam is the greatest.Chapter 15 - The Ring Goes South‘That's what I meant,' said Pippin. ‘We hobbits ought to stick together, and we will. I shall go, unless they chain me up. There must be someone with intelligence in the party.' ‘Then you certainly will not be chosen, Peregrin Took!' But that will leave no place for us!' cried Pippin in dismay. ‘We don't want to be left behind. We want to go with Frodo.' ‘That is because you do not understand and cannot imagine what lies ahead,' said Elrond. ‘Neither does Frodo,' said Gandalf, unexpectedly supporting Pippin. ‘Nor do any of us see clearly. It is true that if these hobbits understood the danger, they would not dare to go. But they would still wish to go, or wish that they dared, and be shamed and unhappy. Q1 - Merry and Pippen are the best.' So Bill was going as the beast of burden, yet he was the only member of the Company that did not seem depressed.Q2 - Is Bill your favorite member of the fellowship? At that moment Elrond came out with Gandalf, and he called the Company to him. ‘This is my last word,' he said in a low voice. ‘The Ring-bearer is setting out on the Quest of Mount Doom. On him alone is any charge laid: neither to cast away the Ring, nor to deliver it to any servant of the Enemy nor indeed to let any handle it, save members of the Company and the Council, and only then in gravest need. The others go with him as free companions, to help him on his way. You may tarry, or come back, or turn aside into other paths, as chance allows. The further you go, the less easy will it be to withdraw; yet no oath or bond is laid on you to go further than you will. For you do not yet know the strength of your hearts, and you cannot foresee what each may meet upon the road.' Q3 - This is so good!‘Faithless is he that says farewell when the road darkens,' said Gimli.Q4 - Do you think the snowstorm they were caught in was by some evil design?

The Fellowship of the Ring is a masterclass in how to creatively adapt a book while technically also skipping, say, 4 entire chapters without missing a beat. I am more amazed at what Peter Jackson, Fran Walsh, Philippa Boyens and the whole team pulled off. It rejuvenated J.R.R. Tolkien's work in a way that kept many of his important themes in it. Before the Fellowship: Fans Read and React to the Silmarillion by JRR Tolkien Every Week

Sauron continues war with the Elves. Eregion is laid waste, and Celebrimbor is slain. Elrond establishes Rivendell. Sauron successfully collects the other Rings of Power and gives seven to the Dwarves and nine to Men. Dwarves prove hard to tame, but the influence of the Rings leads them to seek great wealth, often to their demise. Men prove easier to rule. The Nine Kings grow in might and power, but ultimately succumb to the power of the One Ring and are made Ringwraiths, Sauron's most powerful servants. 01:23 Greg reads pages 288-292 from the Silmarillion, 2nd Edition 16:55 Summary 18:20 Discussion Watch this Episode on YouTube Send feedback to beforethefellowship@gmail.com Follow us as we follow Tolkien: TWITTER DISCORD The Rings of Power comes to Amazon, but nothing compares to the real story JRR Tolkien wrote. Whitey and Damo are joined by Jeff from MCU's Bleeding Edge and they go head first into Middle Earth again for the Two Towers"The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers" is a cinematic masterpiece that continues the epic journey begun in "The Fellowship of the Ring." Directed by Peter Jackson, this second instalment in the trilogy is a compelling blend of fantasy, adventure, and drama, set in the richly imagined world of Middle-earth.The film opens where the first left off, with the Fellowship scattered. Its members are now divided into three groups, each facing their own challenges. Aragorn (Viggo Mortensen), Legolas (Orlando Bloom), and Gimli (John Rhys-Davies) pursue the Uruk-hai to rescue Merry (Dominic Monaghan) and Pippin (Billy Boyd). Meanwhile, Frodo (Elijah Wood) and Sam (Sean Astin) continue their perilous journey to Mordor, guided by the treacherous Gollum (Andy Serkis). The third narrative thread follows the wizard Gandalf (Ian McKellen), believed dead, as he returns in a new guise to aid the people of Rohan against the forces of Saruman (Christopher Lee). The film excels in expanding the scope of Middle-earth, introducing new landscapes and cultures. The kingdom of Rohan, with its horse-lords and majestic halls, is a standout, beautifully realized with a keen eye for detail. The besieged city of Helm's Deep, where much of the film's action converges, is a marvel of set design and visual effects, providing a backdrop for one of the most spectacular battle scenes in cinema history.Jackson's direction is both grand and intimate. He masterfully balances large-scale battles with quieter moments of character development. The film's pacing is excellent, interweaving the various storylines seamlessly and keeping the audience engaged throughout its three-hour runtime. The cast delivers outstanding performances. Mortensen's Aragorn is both regal and rugged, embodying the reluctant hero with a sense of gravity and depth. McKellen's Gandalf is a source of wisdom and strength, while Serkis's groundbreaking performance as Gollum is both pitiable and unsettling. The CGI character of Gollum, a blend of animation and performance capture, was a significant achievement for its time and remains a high point in the use of digital characters in film.Howard Shore's score is another highlight. His music perfectly complements the on-screen action, enhancing the emotional resonance of each scene. The themes introduced in the first film are expanded upon here, with new motifs that reflect the evolving narrative. The adaptation of J.R.R. Tolkien's work is respectful and inventive. While changes were made for cinematic purposes, they serve the story well, maintaining the spirit of the source material. The screenplay by Fran Walsh, Philippa Boyens, Stephen Sinclair, and Jackson is a careful balancing act of staying true to Tolkien's vision while making the story accessible and engaging for a modern audience. The visual effects are groundbreaking. The integration of practical effects and CGI creates a believable, immersive world. The Battle of Helm's Deep, in particular, showcases this blend to stunning effect. The use of forced perspective, miniatures, and digital effects to create the various races of Middle-earth is seamless and convincing. The Two Towers also delves deeper into the themes of power, corruption, and redemption. The film explores the seductive nature of power through the characters of Saruman and Gollum. Saruman's fall from grace and Gollum's internal struggle with his 'Smeagol' persona are poignant illustrations of these themes. The film also examines the bonds of friendship and the resilience of the human (and hobbit) spirit in the face of overwhelming adversity. The movie is not without its flaws. Some fans of the books may take issue with the changes and omissions in the adaptation. Additionally, the film's middle position in the trilogy means it lacks a true beginning and end, potentially leaving some viewers unsatisfied. However, these are minor critiques in an otherwise outstanding film."The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers" is a triumph of filmmaking. It is a rare sequel that not only lives up to its predecessor but also deepens and enriches the overarching narrative. The film combines a strong story, well-developed characters, impressive visuals, and a magnificent score to create an unforgettable cinematic experience. It is a testament to the power of storytelling and the potential of the fantasy genre. For fans of Tolkien, cinema, or just great storytelling, "The Two Towers" is an essential film that continues to resonate and inspire.Check out The MCU's Bleeding Edge Youtube channel and check out what Jeff, Cyber and Andres have been up to. We start the journey of reviewing one of the greatest movie trilogies of all time with Lord of the Rings - The Fellowship of the Ring. We have a special correspondent call in from Hobbiton itself, Strangles joins us for Good, Bad, Ugly to discuss the blockbuster with us."The Fellowship of the Ring" is an absolute triumph in the world of cinema, delivering a spellbinding and faithful adaptation of J.R.R. Tolkien's literary masterpiece. Directed by Peter Jackson and released in 2001, this film takes viewers on an epic journey into the heart of Middle-earth, where adventure, friendship, and the battle between good and evil come to life in breathtaking fashion. One of the film's greatest achievements is its unwavering commitment to capturing the essence of Tolkien's world. From the lush landscapes of the Shire to the ominous darkness of Mordor, every location feels authentic and meticulously detailed. The craftsmanship that went into designing the costumes, sets, and props is nothing short of astounding. It's impossible not to be fully immersed in Middle-earth's rich tapestry. The ensemble cast is nothing short of extraordinary. Sir Ian McKellen's portrayal of Gandalf is a masterclass in acting, and Elijah Wood's Frodo Baggins is a character that elicits both sympathy and admiration. The entire Fellowship, including Aragorn (Viggo Mortensen), Legolas (Orlando Bloom), Gimli (John Rhys-Davies), and the rest, is impeccably cast, each member bringing their unique strengths to the group dynamic.Howard Shore's musical score is a character in itself, enriching every scene with emotion and grandeur. The hauntingly beautiful "Concerning Hobbits" theme contrasts perfectly with the epic and ominous undertones of the Mordor theme. It's a testament to how music can elevate a film to legendary status. The film's pacing is impeccable, balancing exposition with thrilling action sequences seamlessly. The decision to split Tolkien's dense narrative into three films was a wise one, allowing for depth and character development without sacrificing momentum."The Fellowship of the Ring" excels in its portrayal of the timeless themes of heroism, friendship, and the corrupting influence of power. It delves into the moral dilemmas faced by its characters, making them all the more relatable and human in a fantastical setting.Visually, this film was groundbreaking for its time, with groundbreaking CGI that still holds up today. The battles, particularly the skirmish at Amon Hen and the terrifying confrontation with the Balrog, are awe-inspiring spectacles that set new standards for epic fantasy filmmaking. In conclusion, "The Fellowship of the Ring" is a masterpiece that stands the test of time. It's a testament to the power of storytelling and filmmaking when executed with passion, dedication, and an unwavering respect for the source material. Whether you're a fan of fantasy or simply appreciate exceptional cinema, this film is a must-see, and it will undoubtedly leave a lasting impression on your cinematic journey. Please follow the Podcast and join our community at https://linktr.ee/borntowatchpodcast If you are looking to start a podcast and want a host or get guests to pipe in remotely, look no further than Riverside.fmClick the link below https://riverside.fm/?utm_campaign=campaign_1&utm_medium=affiliate&utm_source=rewardful&via=matthew

Author Ludwig Gartz explains how The High Finance is the control mechanism for our enslavement and how that is gradually coming to an end with the collapsing Deep State and people's breaking free of the mind-controlling mass media. He explains how the enslavement and road to freedom is laid out in symbolic form in the Lord of the Rings by J R R Tolkien. The High Finance (Sauron) rule this world through their control of money (One Ring), through the Deep State (King of the Ringwraiths), and by controlling our minds through the media (Minas Morgul). In the symbolism of the Orc War in Minas Morgul, all three of these are interwoven. The High Finance controls the BIS in Basel and the Central Banks, including the Chinese, Russian and American Federal Reserve Bank. They own the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund, Blackrock and Vanguard, and in this way is the majority owner of the largest corporations on earth. With their control of money, the High Finance dominates the corporations and the billionaires, and with money, Deep State and media, they also dominate the governments of this earth. The dialectic with which the High Finance rule the world consists of capitalism and communism. For the automatic redistribution brought about by capitalism, which gives rise to ever larger corporations, conglomerates, cartels and monopolies, they extol socialism and communism as the solution. For the enslavement brought about by a communist dictatorship, they extol capitalism as great freedom (liberalism, libertarianism). As long as the vast majority of people are inclined to one of these two sides (right or left), we cannot escape this dialectic prison. The Deep State are organized in two blocs pretending to the world that they are competing, while, in reality, the theatre thus staged is controlled by the High Finance. To ensure that people cannot escape the dialectic with which the High Finance rule, the Western bloc is set up so that the corporations and billionaires are more powerful than the governments (see the power of a Bill Gates, George Soros, Jeff Bezos or Elon Musk), and the Eastern bloc is set up so that the governments are more powerful than the billionaires/oligarchs, see especially China and Russia. However, it is the High Finance alone that determine whether the corporations/billionaires are more powerful than the government or the government is more powerful than the corporations/oligarchs. Without the High Finance in the background, the billionaires in the West would not be more powerful than the governments. And without the High Finance in the background, the governments in Russia and China would not be more powerful than the billionaires/oligarchs.Ringwraith Annihilation Book in English: Ringwraith Annihilation - https://neunheit.de/en/pages/ringwraith-annihilationWebsite (mostly in German): https://neunheit.de/en——- My book:I have written a book on health and well-being. When Frodo wakes, he finds himself in the house of Elrond in Rivendell. Gandalf is present and tells Frodo everyone is safe, fills in some of the details of the narrow escape at the Ford of Bruinen, and explains he had been delayed because he was held captive. Gandalf also tells Frodo, as soon as he is well enough, there is to be a Council, at which Frodo will learn the answers to many questions. Gandalf explains that the "Black Riders are the Ringwraiths, the Nine servants of the Lord of the Rings," and that Aragorn is of the "race of the Kings from over the Sea," as are all Rangers. Frodo is astounded. Soon, Frodo feels well enough to socialize with his friends and the others in Elrond's house. Sam, who has been anxiously waiting for Frodo to recover, shows him around the big house. A great feast takes place in the hall of Elrond's house. After the feast, they retire to the Hall of Fire for singing and storytelling, and Frodo is surprised and delighted to find Bilbo there. After passing the evening together, they head off to bed to get a night's rest before the Council. The Fellowship of the Ring: Written by J.R.R. Tolkien. Soundtrack composed by Howard Shore. It got us wondering if we were to write a super long description in which we repeatedly say Elden Ring and Podcast and even Elden Ring Podcast, could it help us get the SeOs? No one knows for sure, and ultimately we decided a long explanation about whether or not we should change our name to the Elden Ring Podcast was silly and would ultimately be a boring read, even if it did say Elden Ring a lot and raise us up in the Elden Ring Seos. But again, we want to thank the Elden Ring Reddit for their consistent contributions and let them know we sincerely considered changing the name to the Elden Ring Podcast, but ultimately decided against it for now, mainly because we plan to book club/breakdown other games besides Elden Ring in the future. Oh, we also decided against writing the long Elden Ring Podcast description as we felt it would be in poor taste. Elden Ring.

The nature of our world includes the earthly plan of reality (the physical realm) and the spiritual plane of reality (the spiritual realm). We are most aware of the physical realm. It generally follows scientific laws. There's also the spirit realm. This is a realm that most people cannot see which does not follow scientific laws, and yet interacts with the physical in ways that can't be quantified exactly. Some people will want to make quantum physics connections between the physical and spiritual, because the spiritual realm is like a dimension.I don't recommended thinking of it like that because we want to make dimensions scientific (at least I do), and science doesn't apply to spiritual things. The spiritual dimension is not related to quantum physics and it's not a dimension. It's like a dimension. The Upside DownIt's kind of like the Upside Down in Stranger Things on Netflix. In Stranger Things, the Upside Down is a parallel universe to our regular universe. Colors are muted, and weird monsters live there, and sometimes you can hear sounds from the regular universe, and when a creature in the Upside Down interacts with the regular universe, electrical disturbances occur.Physical creatures cannot see creatures in the Upside Down, and creatures in the Upside Down cannot see creatures in the physical world. But sometimes they can hear or sense entities across the plane.Characters can physically enter a parallel universe through certain portals, or psychically enter the Upside Down through sensory deprivation and honing psychic skills. The spirit realm is kind of like that... but not really.Middle Earth To draw on another fictional story, the spirit realm looks more like Frodo putting on the Ring in The Lord of the Rings books, or Bilbo putting on the Ring in Peter Jackson's The Hobbit film adaptations. In the books, several creatures are represented in both the physical and spiritual realms. Elves and some other characters (like Gandalf) who have been in the Blessed Realm and seen the light of the Trees, for instance, shine with light in the spirit realm, but in the physical realm, they look simply like physical beings. Some characters receive a blessing (being called an "Elf friend", for instance), which is perceptible in the spirit realm, but not the physical, unless someone has eyes to see.Occasionally spiritual manifestations are visible in the physical as when a crown flickers over Aragorn's head at times. Some spiritual creatures like the Ringwraiths, are actually invisible in the physical realm, although their shapelessness are creepily cloaked with robes and they can speak. But physical creatures react with terror felt in the spiritual realm to the presence of these monsters. When Frodo puts on the Ring, he leaves the physical realm and enters the invisible spiritual realm. From the perspective of his friends, he disappears from view. From his perspective, the physical realm becomes shadowy but he sees the spiritual world clearly and spiritual beings clearly see him.The Lord of the Rings was written with the Christian medieval worldview in mind, and this is a pretty good understanding of the spirit realm. Inhabitants of the Spiritual RealmSpiritual creatures inhabit the spiritual realm. In the Hebrew Bible, entities that inhabit the spiritual word are called elohim. Modern translators recognize this, and in English translations of the Hebrew Bible, they render elohim into the different entities meant by the biblical authors.Depending on context in the Bible, elohim means Yahweh, ("The God", when compared to the other elohim), the gods (plural), the sons of God, demons, and the departed human dead. These classifications are helpful for us today. God is a spiritual being, but no other spiritual being is like God. He is incomparable.Other ranks of spiritual beings also exist, including the human dead. These entities belong in the spirit realm.Inhabitants of the Physical RealmBy contrast, there are beings that by nature occupy the physical realm, the earthly plane of reality. These creatures include plants, animals and humans: "flesh and bone", which do not inhabit the spirit realm.Humans in the Physical and SpiritualHumans apparently exist in both realms at the same time. Their spiritual nature and physical nature are intricately woven together and impact each other in ways that aren't clear. I suspect the aura that some people can see reflects their spiritual presence, or how they appear on the spirit realm. When filled with the Holy Spirit through faith in the Lord Jesus, humans appear as shining white, like the Elves in The Lord of the Rings books.Seers See Things in the Spirit RealmMost of us cannot clearly perceive the spiritual realm, but we still exist on that plane. Spiritual things impact the physical realm. A spiritual curse might be invisible in the physical realm, but it exists in the spiritual realm, impacting the spiritual nature of the victim. This spiritual impact will manifest in physical ways. This spiritual curse might be a spiritual creature assigned to someone, wrecking perpetual havoc, or in word-forms, with the word shaping the spiritual reality - and in turn shaping the physical. For instance, a man cursed with adultry might have the word perpetually influencing his spirit, which manifests physically in habitual sin. A seer might look at that man and see the word “adultery” on his forhead or note an adulterous spirit besides him or note an adulterous taint on his aura - the spiritual nature of his being. The man is a slave to this curse and needs to be released. When humans sin, they send up signals in the spirit realm that attract the attention of demonic spirits. This sin can be thought forms or actions. Sinful thoughts or actions send clear signals in the spirit realm.Similarly, as people bring their lives under God's rule and reign, they impact the spirit realm in different ways, actually repelling demonic forces. For millenia, spiritual forces of darkness held unfettered sway over the physical realm. But then Jesus came and introduced the Kingdom of God. He brought light into the darkness. This light manifests in the physical realm in real and perceptible ways.Light and dark have been warring ever since, and ultimately, the dark will not overtake the light.RAVEN CREEK SOCIAL CLUB A DIVISION OF RAVEN CREEK MEDIA

Galadriel, Gandalf, and Éowyn make their way into the discussion too, along with a special group of Nine (and it's not the one you think). Plus, Maggie properly identifies a mandolin. Huzzah. And what happens when a dragon eats a ring of power? This week we are talking Lord of the Rings' history, looking at the history of the Rings of Power, how Sauron manipulated the Elves and Dwarves into helping him, and how the Elves managed to pull a fast one on the Dark Lord. An Unexpected Journey

The Siege of Gondor -- Back in Minas Tirith, Pippin receives his new uniform and gear as a member of the Tower Guard. He spends a long day serving Lord Denethor, Gandalf, and the Captains of the West. Pippin chats with Beregond at the outer wall of the Citadel amid heavy darkness and a stagnant air. Suddenly, they hear the terrifying shriek of a Black Rider. Beyond the outermost gate, they can see five dark Nazgûl swooping over a small, rapidly approaching group of Men on horseback. The leader of the horsemen sounds his horn; Beregond recognizes the trumpet call of Faramir, Denethor's son. The men, thrown from their terrified horses, run for the city gate on foot. Just as a Nazgûl descends on Faramir, Pippin sees what appears to be a brilliant white star in the north—it is Gandalf on his horse, Shadowfax. Gandalf raises his hand and sends a shaft of light shooting upward into one of the Nazgûl. The Nazgûl cries and circles away, the other Ringwraiths following. Gandalf returns to the city with Faramir slumped in the saddle. Faramir is escorted into Denethor's chambers, where he is shocked to see Pippin (Faramir has already had a strange encounter with two other hobbits—Frodo and Sam—in The Two Towers). Gandalf erupts when he learns from Faramir that Frodo and Sam are heading to Mordor by way of Cirith Ungol. Faramir notes that he bid farewell to the hobbits only two days ago; they could not have reached Cirith Ungol yet. The men surmise that Sauron's new movement on Gondor is not related to Frodo's approach to Mordor. Denethor upbraids Faramir for showing cowardice in defending the outposts. The Steward bitterly remarks that Boromir, his other son, would have brought him a “mighty gift”—meaning the Ring. Gandalf points out that Boromir would have kept the “gift” for himself. The two men argue, and Pippin again senses the strain between them. Denethor opposes sending the Ring with a Hobbit into the hands of Sauron, believing that he himself should have been given the Ring for safekeeping. The gathering disperses. Pippin asks Gandalf why, as Faramir has indicated, Frodo and Sam are traveling with Gollum. Gandalf fears Gollum's treachery, but notes that perhaps some good may yet come of Gollum's actions.

Many Meatings - When Frodo wakes, he finds himself in the house of Elrond in Rivendell.

Welcome to Xbox Game Passengers. Every other Wednesday, host Derek and a guest will dissect and discuss just one game available on Microsoft’s Game Pass service, which was chosen for them completely at random. Whether it’s a magical or a horrible experience, they’ll force themselves through it, share their thoughts, and let you know whether or not the game is worth your time! At the end of each episode, they’ll also randomly select the game for the following show, so you always know what’s coming up on the next adventure. This time around, newcomer (and host of the Super GG Radio gaming podcast) Joel joins Derek to chat about the well received Lord of the Rings basically Assassin’s Creed game, Middle Earth: Shadow of War. It really, really feels like Assassin’s Creed, and it also really doesn’t do a great job of getting you invested in its characters (especially if you haven’t played the first game in the series, Shadow of Mordor). Go behind enemy lines to forge your army, conquer Fortresses and dominate Mordor from within. Experience how the award winning Nemesis System creates unique personal stories with every enemy and follower, and confront the full power of the Dark Lord Sauron and his Ringwraiths in this epic new story of Middle-earth. In Middle-earth™: Shadow of War™, nothing will be forgotten. We’ve had a blast making Xbox Game Passengers so far, and we really hope that you’re enjoying it too! Hosts Mat Bradley-Tschirgi, Jersey Jason, and William Thrasher discuss The Lord of the Rings, a theatrical cartoon directed by Ralph Bakshi. Meant to be the first of a two film series, United Artists chose not to fund a proper sequel making this an odd outlier J.R.R. Tolkien adaptation. A ring with magical powers gets gifted from Bilbo Baggins (Norman Bird) to Frodo Baggins (Christopher Guard), but evil Sauron and his spooky Ring Wraiths are after it! A so-so fantasy epic (director Ralph Bakshi did this genre much better in Wizards and Fire and Ice), this animated feature flick starts off well enough but feels turgid by cramming too much plot in too little time. We get some nice scope to the battle scenes at the end, but it's too little too late as it finishes up without a compelling cliffhanger.    Follow the show on Twitter @Sequelcast2 Like our Sequelcast 2 Facebook Page Sequelcast 2 is delighted to be a member of The Batman Podcast Network. Is the joy you can feel from a stranger's suffering the sweetest? Does delighting in your friend's failures make you love them even more, or even save them? Are we currently experiencing mass schadenfreude on a global scale? Can we push through all the pain and embarrassment and find our way to empathy? And can we find deep philosophical catharsis in the humble nutshot fail? Hubert Mayr is a hilarious up and coming comedian haunting the London circuit like a dark cloud, his morose delivery and pitch-black material getting him to the final of Leicester Square New Comedian Of The Year 2018.
