I'm excited to share our latest episode of the Tech On Toast podcast, where we dive deep into the world of technology in the fine dining industry. This week, we had the pleasure of visiting Benares in Mayfair, a Michelin-starred Indian restaurant, and speaking with Shubham and Mark from TISL. Together, we explored the challenges and triumphs of implementing technology in a bustling restaurant environment. Here are three key takeaways from our conversation that I believe are crucial for anyone in the tech or hospitality sectors:The Importance of Support: One of the standout themes from our discussion was the critical role that support plays in the success of technology implementation. Shubham emphasised how TISSL's support team is always just a phone call away, ready to resolve issues in real-time, even during the busiest hours. This level of accessibility not only alleviates stress but also ensures that operations run smoothly, allowing staff to focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences.Simplicity is Key: In a fast-paced environment like a restaurant, simplicity in technology is paramount. Both Shubham and Mark highlighted how TISSL's system is designed to be user-friendly, enabling staff to manage orders and make adjustments quickly, even from their phones. This agility is essential for maintaining efficiency and minimising errors, especially during peak service times. It's a reminder that technology should enhance operations, not complicate them.Building Strong Relationships: The relationship between Benares and TISSL is a testament to the power of collaboration and trust. After a brief period with another provider, Benares returned to TISSL, citing the reliability and support they received as key factors in their decision. This episode reinforces the idea that successful partnerships are built on understanding, communication, and a shared commitment to excellence.I invite you to listen to the full episode to gain deeper insights into how technology can transform the dining experience and the importance of having the right support system in place.Thank you for tuning in, and I look forward to hearing your thoughts on this episode! Let's continue the conversation about how we can leverage technology to create better experiences in our industries.#TechOnToast #Podcast #Hospitality #Technology #Support #Simplicity #Relationships #FineDining
My guests today are Martin Spinnangr and Shubham Bhattacharya, CPO at Munu and former CPO at Favrit - two Nordic rivals in the world of hospitality SaaS. Shubham is currently a Lead PM at Xeneta and Martin has been a Product leader in Laerdal Medical and Easee before Munu - so this conversation brings different perspectives to the table and it was good to connect with these two again! Enjoy :) This is a public episode. If you would like to discuss this with other subscribers or get access to bonus episodes, visit afonsofranco.substack.com

5 years ago, Shubham had just graduated college and had no network. He bootstrapped to $3M in ARR, then raised $200M & grew to $85M ARR.But he started trying to sell AI for marketing to enterprises with no network. So for 2 months, he'd go to the lobby of a bank and sit there for an hour. He'd wait for the CMO to walk by, just so he could say hi. He'd tell receptionists he was waiting for an interview. Finally, one day the CMO had enough and asked him who he was. Shubham got his 15-minute moment. That turned into a free pilot. That free pilot turned to $1.2M ARR. 2 years after he'd started the company, he bootstrapped to $3M ARR and was profitable— since then, the growth never stopped. Comment (comme pour les automatisations - précédent épisode), approchent-ils l'IA dans leur business ? Pour le découvrir, écoutez notre nouvel épisode Structure

I first met Shubham at a local event discussing mental health for entrepreneurs. Shubham reached out to me after the event to ask me some questions about starting and growing a podcast, but the conversation then turned into me learning a lot more about Shubham's career journey. In just the short span of 75 minutes, I learned about his story, his values, and how he chose the unconventional over what was perceived to be stable, traditional, and expected. At that moment, I realized that I MUST invite Shubham onto The Thought Leader Club Podcast and have him share his story and other candid stories on failure, self-doubt, and paving your own path. I am delighted to share that episode 150 of The Thought Leader Club Podcast (featuring Shubham) is now available on iTunes, Spotify, and YouTube. In this conversation, you'll hear about: Shubham's unexpected journey from a traditional path to becoming a co-founder Candid stories of failure, uncertainty, and self-doubt How family, cultural, etc backgrounds played a role in Shubham's career decisions and views on success Making time for non-work interests and hobbies; Being a life-long learner Advice to those who are questioning their current career situation and are deciding whether to make some changes Enjoy :) P.S. And if you loved the episode, you can 1️) Leave a 5-star rating and an awesome review, and 2️) Share the episode on your social media About Shubham: Shubham is the CTO/Co-founder at Airboxr - A data automation platform for DTC brands.
