#BlackrockSilver Gets Permit To Drill At #SilverCloud In addition to Blackrock Silver's flagship Tonopah West project, they also hold the rights to the #Silver Cloud project in Nevada. Where last year they received an assay showing 52.62 g/t gold, and then followed that up with a Metallic screen assay that indicated 70 g/t gold. Very british - Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow (1965-1980) Es ist das klassische Luxusauto schlechthin: 5,17 Meter lang, eine klare, aber sehr repräsentative Form, das herrliche Armaturenbrett mit Uhrensammlung, Leder fast überall und eine unglaubliche Ruhe beim Fahren. Der Silver Shadow ist der größte Erfolg in der Geschichte von Rolls-Royce. Fast 30.000 Exemplare verließen die heiligen Hallen in Crewe und verliehen der Marke ein ikonisches Image. Es war das Auto der Stars: Ob Elton John, Freddie Mercury, Johnny Cash, Muhammad Ali, Andy Warhol, Rudolph Mooshammer oder Prinzessin Margaret, alle fuhren sie Silver Shadow – oder wurden gefahren. Für Normalbürger war er völlig unerreichbar, doch das hat sich inzwischen geändert, zumindest, was den Kaufpreis angeht. Ab 10.000 Euro ist man dabei, gute Fahrzeuge kosten um die 30.000 Euro. Allerdings verschlingt der Unterhalt nach wie vor Unsummen. Der klassische V8 – 6,2 oder 6,75 Liter ist zwar sehr haltbar, schluckt aber mehr als 20 Liter auf 100 Kilometer und verlangt viel Liebe, etwa einen Ölwechsel alle 10.000 Kilometer. Mit 157 bis 200 PS, aber reichlich Drehmoment bieten die Aggregate, wie Rolls Royce es formulierte, ausreichend Leistung. Zum Sportwagen wurde der mehr als zwei Tonnen schwere Wagen aber nie. Der Rolls ist eher komfortabel ausgelegt, mit einer Niveauregulierung und leichtgängiger Servolenkung gleitet er durch die Welt. Technisch gibt es viele Neuerungen. Die selbstragende Karosserie sorgt für gute Platzverhältnisse, der Einsatz von Aluminium für Türen, Motorhaube und Kofferraumdeckel hält das Gewicht in Grenzen und Einzelradaufhängung und Scheibenbremsen rundum sorgen für Fahrsicherheit. Die Formensprache ist verglichen mit dem barocken Vorgänger Silver Cloud sehr aufgeräumt und modern, jedoch nicht so übermäßig schlicht wie beim Nachfolger Silver Spirit. Wem der steile Kühlergrill mit der Emily zu protzig ist, kann das baugleiche, aber etwas dezentere Bentley-Modell T-Series wählen. Eine andere Variante ist der Corniche, der Silver Shadow als Coupé oder Cabrio. Andy Schectman: Extremely Heavy Gold, Silver Buying Following SVB Collapse After a turbulent weekend in the banking system, that included the closing of Silicon Valley Bank, the Fed and the FDIC guaranteeing the deposits, and also concerns about other banks, there was a significant rally in gold and silver on Monday, as well as a lot of physical precious metals buying. In this week's physical silver report with Andy Schectman of Miles Franklin, Andy describes the conditions in the silver market, which just witnessed one of the heaviest days of buying the industry has yet seen. Which perhaps is not surprising after seeing a stunning run on the bank that unfolded in just a few days, and has left savers and investors concerned about how safe their money is in some of the banks. Andy describes that customers were calling and in many cases cashing out their entire bank accounts in response to the events of the last few days. And with the markets raising the possibility that the Fed may now pause its interest rate hiking cycle at its next meeting on March 22, we're set for what could be a continuation of the interest in the precious metals. Rob Rock (born June 29, 1959) is an American heavy metal singer who is best known as the longtime frontman of Impellitteri, a position he has held from 1987 to 1988, 1992 to 2000, and from 2008 to the present day. Rock has also released four studio albums as a solo artist, and performed with a number of other notable artists, including M.A.R.S., Joshua, Angelica, Axel Rudi Pell and Warrior to name a few. Rob Rock's early music career consisted of stints with several local cover bands as a drummer and vocalist including Tangram, The Robert Allen Band and Vice which also included future band mate, Chris Impellitteri. They released a demo and were together until 1985. In 1986, he joined musicians Tony MacAlpine (guitar), Tommy Aldridge (drums), and Rudy Sarzo (bass guitar) in a project called M.A.R.S. The group released a lone album entitled Project: Driver in 1986, which received much critical praise, but the next year each member went their separate ways. Rock then reunited with friend Chris Impellitteri and recorded the self-titled debut EP (1987) of the latter's band Impellitteri. However, he was also committed to another band named Joshua, so he could not continue with the band at the time. Rock recorded the Intense Defense album with Joshua, which was characterized by the editor of HM Magazine as being "probably the best melodic metal album in the universe." He also worked on other projects (Dennis Cameron's Angelica & Driver) which gave him knowledge of international musicians that would serve him well later. After leaving Joshua in 1988, Rock formed M.A.R.S. offshoot Driver with two other former Joshua members, bassist Emil Lech-Brando and keyboardist Greg Shultz, former Jag Panzer drummer Reynold 'Butch' Carlson, and guitarist Roy Z; Z, Carlson and Lech-Brando had previously played together in Gypsy Moreno. Driver would release a 5-song cassette-only EP in 1990 but broke up the following year when Rock got a call from Chris Impellitteri and decided to once again join his band. Rock would stay on as lead singer until 2000 during which time Impellitteri released five successful albums. In 2000, Rock decided to pursue his own solo career and parted ways with Impellitteri amicably. That same year, he released his first solo album called Rage of Creation. The album received critical praise and Rock has gone on, releasing three more albums (Eyes of Eternity, Holy Hell, Garden of Chaos). Rock's first solo disc 'Rage of Creation' was recorded at Joe Floyd's Silver Cloud studio. As a result of that collaboration, Floyd asked Rock if he would provide vocals for a revamped lineup of the legendary US metal band Warrior. They released 'The Code of Life' in 2001. It is arguably some of the heaviest music Rock has ever performed and received critical acclaim in Europe and Asia. Eventually, Rock would reform Driver with Roy Z and Reynold Carlson and release the Sons of Thunder album in 2008, which consisted of re-recordings of their 1990 EP along with other unreleased songs written at the time. A second Driver album, Countdown, was released in 2012. In May 2008 it was announced that Rock reunited once more with Impellitteri. Their new album, Wicked Maiden, was released in April 2009 and since then they have gone onto release two more studio albums along with the newly released “Wake The Beast-The Impellitteri Anthology”, which is a 3 CD set of the bands favorite tracks from throughout their career. Can #goldprice keep rising as Fed keeps hiking? Gold and #silver sold off sharply for much of the summer as the Fed was aggressively raising #interestrates. Yet the metals have reversed that trend and rallied while the Fed has kept hiking, suggesting that the equation is not as straightforward as assuming that precious metals are going to get clobbered just because the Fed is tightening. In fact, if you look back through history, there's ample evidence suggesting that during some of the bigger interest rate hiking cycles, gold has performed extremely well. So in today's call, I talk with Greg Crennan of Golden Coast Consulting, who has studied the topic extensively, and shares what he thinks is a more realistic assessment of the relationship between gold and interest rate policy. He also talks about the correlation between the VIX (the volatility index) and gold, and how gold often rises more so when there's just outright fear in the market. As well as how gold doesn't do as well during the speculative phases of the market, as investors are often allocating capital to stocks in hopes of increased gains in the markets. Greg also comments on the recent spike in the rate at the Fed's discount window, why he's keeping an eye on that, and what that could imply. Born and educated in England, Geoffrey Weill has lived in the United States since 1973. His career began with Thomas Cook, first in London, then as Assistant Manager of the Thomas Cook office on New York's Fifth Avenue, then as Manager of the Thomas Cook office in Baltimore. His career has been entirely devoted to positions and fields related to travel. From 1976 until 1984, Geoffrey was Executive Director of Israel's Ministry of Tourism, in North America with primary responsibility for the Israel Government Tourist Office's Public Relations and Advertising. From 1984 until May 1995, he directed the AJCongress International Travel Program, an outreach program to forty countries around the world, sponsored by one of America's oldest human rights organizations. In the summer of 1995, he opened WEILL (Geoffrey Weill Associates), a company specializing in tourism and travel-related promotion and public relations. The company has grown and broadened, with WEILL winning some 100 HSMAI public relations awards. In 2014, Geoffrey was honored with the HSMAI Lifetime Achievement Award. Geoffrey is a widely published travel writer and photographer and has visited over 100 countries. He has lectured on travel and tourism at Oxford University, England, at New York University and at a variety of United States locations. He has co-chaired two conventions of the Society of American Travel Writers. He has appeared on CBS, NBC, CNN and a variety of local television and radio stations. He has also served as a guest lecturer aboard RMS Queen Elizabeth 2 and guest historian aboard the MS Silver Cloud. He speaks, reads and writes four languages, and can struggle by in two more. Stu Levitan welcomes Madison's own Harvey Briggs, co-author of a book that, frankly, may be just a little outside the traditional interests and experiences of the average WORT listener. The book is Rolls-Royce Motor Cars: Making A Legend, a richly illustrated up-close and personal look at the most prestigious motor car in the world, published today by ACC Art Books. John Lennon had a Rolls-Royce, a 1965 Phantom V Touring Limousine which he had painted a bright yellow floral design around the time of Sgt Pepper. It's now valued at about $7 million. Jennifer Lopez owns a silver Ghost, as does Justin Beiber. Jay Z and Beyonce own a Phantom 8 and Silver Cloud 3 respectively. Well, you get the idea. But it's not who owns a Rolls-Royce that interests Harvey Briggs – it's who builds them, and how they go about it. Those are the stories he tells in his first book, written with British author Simon Van Booy. Harvey Briggs is an Emmy Award-winning writer and editor, former name partner in the Madison advertising agency of Lindsay, Stone and Briggs. A native of Detroit Michigan, he comes by his interest in automobiles organically, as the great-grandson of Walter Briggs Sr., manufacturer of automobile bodies, owner of the Detroit Tigers and namesake of Briggs Stadium. Harvey is currently the VP of the Midwest Automotive Media Association, and since 2016, the editor/publisher of the website RidesAndDrives. Two disclosures before we start. First, Harvey and I have been friends for about 20 years or so and used to collaborate on the scripts for the musical comedy Nakoma neighborhood puts on every year. More recently, I have been the music editor for the aforementioned rides and drives website. That position is unpaid, but has given me the opportunity to drive some nice cars while attending concerts and festivals around the country. And after I am properly vaccinated, I hope to do so again. Interview with Andrew Pollard, CEO of Blackrock Gold Corp. (TSX-V: BRC).Blackrock Gold Corp. (BRC.V) is a Vancouver-based mineral exploration company focussed on exploring gold deposits in the Northern Nevada Rift. Blackrock Gold claims their Silver Cloud property hosts a low sulphidation epithermal vein system.It was good year for gold and a good end to the year for Blackrock Gold. Starting the year at a low of CAD$0.05, Blackrock Gold rose to a peak of CAD$0.34 in September, However, today it sits at CA$0.16. Pollard says the company is just stopping for gas. The market cap is c.CA$10M.Pollard might have stepped into his role at Blackrock Gold out of desperation in May 2019, but it has clearly had an enormous impact on the company: this was the day Blackrock Gold began its rise. The company had just blown several million dollars on soil samples and was unfinanceable. Pollard took charge and appears to have changed the company's course. He has built a solid team.The asset itself has been around for decades. Why is Blackrock Gold going to succeed where others have failed? The Silver Cloud project hadn't been drilled since 2005 until Blackrock Gold's December drill program. Pollard claims modern geophysical advances will make a difference. Companies can now see, interpret and take action on a greater number of parameters, with a more comprehensive understanding of them. Pollard is a former recruitment consultant and claims he has found some of the best and most experienced mining minds in the business to form a technical management team. Let's see how they get on.In terms of a business plan (initially difficult to get him to articulate it), he states that "this isn't a proximity play. It stands on its own technical merits." According to Pollard, the real key here is the location of their asset. In terms of historical mineralogy, he claims it stands head and shoulders above other juniors. In terms of mining infrastructure, it is without rival. His message is clear: the asset is right in the middle of the ultimate mining property. He claims it makes the assets of other juniors look extremely unimpressive by comparison. While exploring a target-rich property and "drill, drill, drill, gold, gold, gold" is one way of summarising the plan, institutional and retail investors alike will want to hear much more. Pollard states the drill rig is confirmed for February. We eventually found out that Pollard hopes to hit something good, but has no intention of building a mine. He wants to get bought out on the merits of an exciting asset. Blackrock Gold's status as a small junior in the midst of giants seems to force Pollard's hand in this regard, or does it?A pending private placement for CA$1.5M will go straight into the ground, with Pollard trying to push it over the line, and get some more institutional investors onboard, in addition to some retail gold bugs. Enhancing liquidity will be key, with trading volume coming from only a small number of investors at present.Based on our reading of Pollard's words, Blackrock Gold Corp. has spent all of its money raised from its previous financing and appears to have none left. They need to raise capital imminently to move forward.In terms of remuneration, Pollard claims to receive CAD$10,000 per month in consultancy fees. He claims in the long run, this role has cost him money as he has stopped focusing on his private recruitment business to focus solely on Blackrock Gold. The remainder of the board is unpaid, unless they are operational staff; such members of the team are paid a modest wage Pollard says.The last question is when? Pollard says there should be significant progress in the next 6 months. He is the author of the multi-award winning book Every Cloud has a Silver Lining. A life long automotive enthusiast Davide has written for the major classic car magazines in Europe and collaborated with the Italian newspaper La Gazzetta della Sport to produce the DVD series Auto da Sogno about automotive marques. He co-authored with Bernard L. King his first book titled Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud I and Bentley S1: 50 Years and he is the driving force behind the Italian Section of the Rolls-Royce Enthusiasts’ Club.
