How often do you wash your water bottle?
Another weekend in the books. Windows were open. ALMOST got on the Harley yesterday. Still too much dirt & salt on the roads to take her out of the garage just yet. In the news this morning, former President Obama admitted on a recent podcast that aliens are real, a Wisconsin fisherman is going viral for using a porta-potty for an ice shanty, some guys in Prairie du Chien are playing their own version of Olympic curling, and the latest on the search for Nancy Guthrie. In sports, the Badgers upset #10 Michigan State on Saturday, the Bucks are off until Friday, the results of the All-Star weekend in the NBA, and Tyler Reddick won yesterday's Daytona 500! We let you know what's on TV today/tonight and we also talked about a possible reboot for "Charlie's Angels". Elsewhere in sports, Chris Paul retires, Kansas State fires their head coach, a college baseball player hit THREE grand slams in a single game, and a hockey team has to apologize after asking it's fans to shower before coming to home games. Speaking of the Olympics, we recapped some of this weekend's action in Italy, including an update on Lindsey Vonn, the US Medal count, the village is running out of condoms, the US men's hockey beatdown of Germany yesterday, and a Slovakian fugitive is arrested after he came out of hiding to attend a hockey game at the Olympics. A couple of cool stories including: a baby giraffe that was just born at the Kansas City zoo, a farmer in Idaho who donated millions of potatoes to local food banks, and a cashier at a Publix grocery store in Georgia who is everyone's favorite. Do you have a reusable water bottle? When was the last time you washed it? Might want to increase the amount of times you run it through the dishwasher! Today is "President's Day", so make sure you keep that in mind if you have errands to run later. Some stuff might not be open. We talked about the best & worst Presidents according to a new survey, and we had some other interesting stats & info on the holiday. And in today's edition of "Bad News with Happy Music", we had stories about a guy who got arrested and claimed he was George Costanza, a billboard with a QR code for a free burrito is apparently distracting drivers, a guy who ran over a bunch of mailboxes, & a former police chief who is going to jail after he was found guilty of setting a bunch of fires.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

In this Rohatsu sesshin talk, Chozen reflects on awakening, silent mind, and the constructed personality that both protects and confines us. Drawing on the Buddha's own awakening, the teaching of “don't-know mind” from Seung Sahn Sunim, Eckhart Tolle's modern account of disidentification from thought, and the koan of Isan tipping over the water bottle, she points to the moment when thinking falls away and original mind reveals itself—vast, intimate, and free from entanglement. The invitation is to trust this silence, let personality become optional, and allow awakening to flow through the body and into everyday life. ★ Support this podcast ★

What if the idea that changes your life… starts with something as ordinary as being thirsty? In 2007, Travis Rosbach walked into a sporting goods store looking for a water bottle—and stumbled onto a problem no one had solved. Plastic, BPA-lined bottles dominated the market. Metal alternatives leaked, dented, or couldn't keep drinks cold enough. Travis's solution? A double-walled, vacuum-insulated, stainless steel bottle. His expertise? Non-existent. This is the improbable story of how Hydro Flask was built—from scavenging metal parts in China, to selling bottles at outdoor markets, to getting into Whole Foods by sheer timing and luck, to a last-minute investor who walked in on the day Travis planned to shut the company down.Hydro Flask would go on to become one of the most recognizable and popular bottles in the country. This is the story behind it.What You'll LearnHow paying attention to trends can lead to new business ideasHow a novice learns the ropes by obsessively comparing existing products How the lessons from past ventures can fuel future success Why perseverance and timing can be just as important as know-howTimestamps: 05:46 - Building a fence, and a first business: “I had no clue.” 09:33 - A one-way trip to Hawaii : The surprising detour that leads Travis to his biggest invention15:13 - How Travis gets inspired—then obsessed—after trying to buy a water bottle 22:08 - Searching for a manufacturer: a here-goes-nothing trip to China31:58 - The first prototype: two colors, sharp edges35:43 - Bootstrapping Hydro Flask: moving in with mom, storing bottles in grandpa's garage 37:14 - Farmer's markets, ice tests and the first buyers52:27 - The crisis that almost kills the company56:30 - An eleventh-hour visitor: “I might want to invest”58:34 - Leaving the company he built: why Travis walked away1:06:07 - Small Business SpotlightThis episode was produced by Chris Maccini, with music by Ramtin Arablouei.Edited by Neva Grant, with research help from Claire Murashima.Follow How I Built This:Instagram → @howibuiltthisX → @HowIBuiltThisFacebook → How I Built ThisFollow Guy Raz:Instagram → @guy.razYoutube → guy_razX → @guyrazSubstack → guyraz.substack.comWebsite → guyraz.comSee Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Stressed out? Try drinking a glass of water. Dehydration can mimic the symptoms of anxiety. Being properly hydrated is good for your energy, fitness and skin. It's just as important for your stress levels. A recent article in Women's Health broke down a study on the effects of being under-hydrated on anxiety and future health. Abigail Cuffey is the executive editor of Women's Health. "The researchers ultimately found that those who were drinking lower levels of fluids, lower levels of water — they had a bigger reaction to stress, and they put them through various stress tests. And those who were less hydrated had a bigger reaction, had a more powerful reaction to stress," Cuffey said. We've always known proper hydration is key for good energy, fitness and skin. Now we know it can impact mood. Think of your water bottle as another tool, like meditation, to control stress. "Now, is it going to magically take away all of your problems? I wish it could remove all the stress. But it really can help, and these really simple, easy things that we do also just make us feel like we're in control," Cuffey said. On this Dying to Ask: The link between being properly hydrated and stress levels Why dehydration mimics anxiety A simple way to know if you're drinking enough water How dehydration impacts your future health How much water should we drink daily?

This week on Let's Try This Again, I'm your host B Simone, and I'm inviting you deep into my solo journey of surrender, discipline, and stepping fully into purpose—even when the weight feels heavy. Filmed before a wave of backlash in my own life, this episode felt prophetic in every way: as I spoke encouragement to you, I was unknowingly pouring into myself for what was to come. I open up about my time at Tasha Cobbs' Inner Glow conference, the anxiety of performing for a new audience, and the power of having someone as anointed as Tasha truly see and pray for me. We'll get raw about feeling unqualified, not waiting to “clean up” before you share your testimony, and realizing that God's anointing doesn't need to look like anyone else's.We talk about my 10-day water fast, those breaking points where all you can pray is “help me Jesus,” and the courage it takes to obey seemingly small convictions—like picking up a water bottle at the airport. I challenge you to ask: what's your “water bottle” moment, and where might disobedience or doubt be keeping you from your next step? This episode is packed with honest encouragement for anyone tired of being strong, feeling unseen in a season of solitude, or wrestling with letting go of what no longer serves you. From practical gratitude exercises to brutal truths about fighting your flesh and honoring your calling, I hold nothing back. If you're ready for a dose of faith, realness, and a fire to pick up that next baton—this one's for you.//SPONSORS//Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau: Visit www.FindYourMiami.comMint Mobile: This year, skip breaking a sweat AND breaking the bank.
