She was last seen wearing a white shirt with a black logo, blue pants with a white stripe and sandals. Her vehicle is a red 2011, Hyundai Sonata, Arizona license plate 2EA6LW. We are going to step back to the mid 1990s in Tucson, Arizona, to examine two cases that have haunted the city's south side for three decades. In December 1994, 6-year-old Lizette went missing from her apartment complex.  About 13 months later, 7-year-old Karen Grajeda went missing from her apartment complex just 8 miles away.   On the surface, these might seem like isolated incidents, but as local investigators and the FBI began to look deeper, they discovered a disturbing pattern, and they were soon linked to three additional abductions of young girls in the same area between 1993 and 1994. Anyone with information in either of these cases is asked to call the Tucson Police Department at 520-791-4444. There is a $20,000 reward being offered in each case. On March 14, 1998, at a farmhouse in Strong City, Oklahoma, 39-year-old Leonard Dirickson sat down for breakfast with his teenage son. As they were cleaning up, they were interrupted by a mysterious stranger in a truck, inquiring about a horse for sale.  It had been a tough few years for their family farm, so Leonard told his son he was going to leave with the man in hopes of selling one of their horses on another property and that he'd be back that afternoon. But Leonard remains missing to this day in one of the most puzzling cases in Oklahoma history. Leonard Neal Dirickson was 39 years old when he was last seenon March 14, 1998, at his home in Strong City, Oklahoma. He was seen getting into a newer or possibly a 1994 white Ford F150 pickup truck with an unknown man. He told his son that they were headed to Mobeetie, Texas, and Elk City, Oklahoma, to look at horses. Leonard is white, about 6 feet tall, and weighed approximately 200 pounds at the time of his disappearance, with brown hair and a red handlebar mustache. He has grey eyes and a small scar under one eye. He was last seen wearing a brown cap with a green bill and an ACCO feeds logo, a faded black Carhartt brand coat, green jeans, and black and brown shoes or boots. The unidentified man Leonard was last seen with has been described as white, about 6'2”, around 40 years old, and approximately 210lbs with a reddish-brown beard, a long nose, dark eyes, and a thick, round face. He was seen wearing blue jeans, a striped western shirt, a blue jacket, and a cap with the words “No Fear” on the front. He may be right-handed and smokes cigarettes, possibly Marlboro Lights. A sketch has been created and circulated for further reference.   Anyone with information is asked to call the Roger Mills County Sheriff's Office at 580-497-2417. Organizations, including the U.S. military, are increasingly adopting cloud deployments for their flexibility and cost savings. The shared security model utilized by cloud service providers removes some of the adopting organization's responsibility for system administration and security. But it leaves them on the hook for monitoring hosted applications and resources. Cloud flow logs are a valuable source of data for supporting these security responsibilities and attaining situational awareness. The SEI has a long history of supporting flow log collection and analysis, including tools for collection in Azure and AWS. In this podcast from the Carnegie Mellon University Software Engineering Institute (SEI), two leading researchers in this area, principal researcher Tim Shimeall and security data analyst Ikem Okafo, both with the SEI's CERT Division, sit down with Dan Ruef, technical manager of the CERT Division's Network Situational Awareness Group, to discuss how to enhance security with cloud flow analysis as well as available tools and resources.

Text: Revelation 1:7  A sermon from our Wednesday night series through the Revelation 

Earth is getting fainter. For proof, just look at the Moon – something that scientists have been doing for decades. They’ve been looking at earthshine – sunlight reflected off of Earth. We see it lighting up the nighttime portion of the Moon – the part that’s not brightly lit by the Sun. It gives that part of the Moon a ghostly appearance. Right now, most of the lunar hemisphere that faces our way is in earthshine. The Moon is a thin crescent in the early morning sky. It’s getting thinner by the day as it wanes toward “new.” From the Moon, though, Earth is getting fatter. It’ll be “full” in just a couple of days. How bright Earth looks varies a good bit, depending on the exact distance, the amount of ice and cloud cover, and other factors. Clouds and ice are bright; land and oceans are dark. So as Earth turns on its axis, and different features rotate into view, earthshine goes up and down like a dining room light on a rheostat. Earthshine varies over longer periods as well, as a result of Earth’s changing climate. If cloud and ice coverage goes down, so does Earth’s overall brightness. And several studies have reported that that’s just what’s happening. Earthshine isn’t as bright as it was decades ago. The difference is small but clear – providing slightly darker nights on the Moon. Look for the Moon low in the sky before dawn tomorrow. Not too much to manage. However, today's cloud world has metastasized. Today, federal leaders live in a world of on-prem, multiple clouds, private clouds, hybrid clouds, and even sovereign clouds. Complications arise when they are burdened with compliance requirements and staff reductions. Today, we sat down with Ryan McArthur from Zscaler to discuss how to effectively manage a cloud environment when challenged with deploying Zero Trust. He begins by sharing his experience helping federal leaders understand the inherent risks of the VPN system. Few realize that VPN technology was first introduced by Microsoft back in 1996, and then popularized with Windows 4.0, which included built-in support. Thirty-year-old technology can present severe limitations. Unfortunately, the popularity of VPN technology increased with the demands of remote computing during COVID. We are now in a situation where many enterprises have built their architecture on this dated technology. Ryan mentions that one key to juggling clouds is to focus on the applications themselves. He emphasized Zscaler's ability to securely connect users. TCW Podcast Episode 249 - New World Computing   We look at the rise and fall of New World Computing through the career of Jon Van Caneghem. Coming from the era of the lone programmer as the industry shifted toward larger development houses, Jon built Might and Magic into one of the most influential RPG franchises of its time. We trace the evolution of the series from its early focus on quest driven gameplay, early auto mapping, and the introduction of features like quest logs and reactive character portraits. Along the way, New World Computing briefly experimented with board games, returning to video games with King's Bounty, a title that would later be reimagined as Heroes of Might and Magic after a marketing push to leverage the stronger Might and Magic name. We examine the company's shifting publishing relationships, struggles with distribution, and eventual acquisition by the 3DO Company. While Heroes of Might and Magic III brought major success, pressure from 3DO led to rushed releases, excessive expansions, and declining quality across both franchises. As Might and Magic moved into 3D and real time combat, development resources became increasingly strained. Diagnosed with severe PCOS as a teenager and told she might never conceive, she was surprised to heal naturally through movement and nutrition, and today dedicates her work to helping women worldwide reconnect with their bodies and reproductive health.Zsofia tells Anne about her upbringing in a small town in Hungary, where she grew up during the transition from socialism to capitalism. At just 15, she moved to the United States as an exchange student, an adventure that would shape her into the resilient, driven woman she is today. She shares how she went on to study business and logistics, and how she found her calling at the intersection of operations and luxury fashion.Zsofia then goes on to explain the health struggles that had been simmering beneath her high-powered career. Diagnosed with PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome) as a teenager, she spent a decade on birth control pills that masked her symptoms. When she came off the medication to start a family, all her symptoms returned with a vengeance. This crisis became a catalyst for transformation. At around 1:00 am on December 25, 1945, Jennie Sodder woke up to smoke pouring into her bedroom. She woke up her husband, George, and they started evacuating the house of their nine children. By the time the fire took over the Sodder residence, only Jennie, George, and four of their children made it outside safely. George and two of his sons frantically tried to get into the house to save the remaining children, but they couldn't. When George went to fill up a bucket with water to start extinguishing the flames, the water was frozen, when he went to grab their ladder to get his children from the top story, the ladder was missing; when he went to drive his trucks to the second story window, neither would start despite having worked just the day before. And when they tried to call the fire department for help, no one responded for hours. The only thing the family could do was watch as their home burned to the ground. Hours later, after the smoldering ashes were put out, a group of people began searching for the children's remains, but nothing was found. Not a single bone was found in the ashes. The fire was quickly ruled an accident, and investigators told the family the children's bodies had burned up completely in the fire, leaving nothing of them behind, not even their bones. But between the mishaps, while trying to put out the fire, threats made against the family before the fire, and the strange behavior of authorities throughout the investigation, Jennie and George Sodder refused to believe five of their children were killed in the home. They were convinced their children didn't die in the fire, and they spent the rest of their lives trying to prove it. On December 14, 1978, six-year-old Christi Lynn Farni testified in front of a grand jury to describe the abuse she suffered from her father. Just hours later, she was reported missing to the Medford, Oregon, police department. Her case is now the oldest unsolved case of a missing child in the entire county. She also spoke with a slight speech impediment, has a burn scar on her chest, and her ears are pierced. In 1984, the Tapp family made a home at 13 Kelvin Drive in the Melbourne suburb of Ferntree Gully, Victoria, Australia. It's been described as a safe, peaceful suburb with a near-zero crime rate. 35-year-old Margaret Tapp thought it was the ideal place to raise her two children, 9-year-old Seana and 14-year-old Justin. She'd been divorced from her husband, Donald Tapp for about 5 years and was full steam ahead with forging this new life for herself and her children. She worked full-time as a nurse and was in her third year studying law full-time at Monash University. Her goal was to combine her work experience to specialize in medical malpractice cases.
