(00:00 - 26:08) - Beautiful day to start off this episode of Query & Company. Jake finally had someone announce that they are "part of the company" at the gym yesterday. NFL teams that are built around one player and the expectations for the Indianapolis Colts moving forward. Aaron Rodgers season ending injury moves the Jets out of championship contention. Their back-up Zack Wilson has some slight Johnny Manziel vibes. Could the Colts be too comfortable letting Richardson get tackled due to his size? The Colts are too easy to defend with their current offensive set-up. Jake's open invitation to a specific listener to talk about whatever topic they want. (26:09 - 39:40) - Caller wants to talk JK Dobbins injury. Jake goes down a list of players who tried to continue after an Achillies injury with various levels of success. The second caller believes that Steichen made the wrong calls at the end of the game.   (39:41 - 43:15) - Touch and go segment on another caller's question, do any of the hosts have a shirt in their closet with an inside joke? (43:16 - 1:07:11) - Randy Muller former NFL General Manager, and now a podcast host and columnist with The Athletic joins the program. Jake wants to know Muller's first impression of Anthony Richardson now that week 1 is in the books. Points per game is way down early in the season. Did Muller ever look at any of his teams and think it was a bad roster? Muller sees talent in Richardson, just hasn't found the right skill set to excel in the NFL yet. He believes that a quarterback needs time to develop from the bench before he gets control of an offense, citing Jordan Love who say in Green Bay for roughly 3-4 years behind Aaron Rodgers. (1:07:12 - 1:25:02) - Talk about where you would relocate an NFL team to and what their name would be. If you would rename any of the Indianapolis teams. Are the Colts in a position where they need to start scrambling for a running back. A caller asks if you'd rather overpay for Jonathan Taylor to help Richardon's, or trade him for an elite receiver. Another caller modifies one of the relocation suggestions. (1:25:03 - 1:27:51) - Touch and go with one caller who supports the Sam's NFL relocation team. (1:27:52 - 1:57:00) - Stephen Holder calls in to the show to talk Colts. Jake immediately asks Holder if Shane Steichen will make any changes to the running game to support Richardson. Holder says that until the Colts run game is solved defenses will continue to just play deep and limit Richardson's passing yards. Did the Colts manage to escape week 1 without any major injuries? Bernhard Raimann is growing at a good rate year over year. Holder talks more about the running back situation around the league and who the Colts might be able to target. Where else can Steichen and the Colts improve heading into week 2? Holder believes that dynamic play from skill positions is needed. (1:57:01 - 2:01:53) - Tyrese Haliburton's performance in the FIBA World Championships made him look really good. It was slightly disappointing to see Team USA lose, but it may rejuvenate players in the future according to Jimmy. (2:01:54 - 2:05:26) - JCook's plays of the day. A final caller talks Colts. Some JMV banter between the shows.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

The Nuggets have had a very quiet off season, but have they improved the roster enough to repeat?  The team will miss Bruce Brown, but Christian Braun should be ready to expand his role.  And Marc feels that Reggie Jackson will have a bigger role. But the Nuggets don't need to win 65 games to be in position to repeat as champs. 34:21 ... Nikola Jokic is 28 years old and many players are at their best between the ages of 28-32, so is it possible we haven't even seen the best of Jokic?  Joker loves talking about his teammates, so the thought of him actually improving is downright scary. 36:32 ... Doug Norrie breaks down the addition of Bridges and how some other Nets will be featured in the games. Plus, he discusses the report that Kyrie Irving and LeBron James might be gauging the latter coming to Dallas in the offseason. It's a wild piece of news that's unlikely to come to fruition but highlights the potential craziness of this offseason. Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors!BirddogsGo to birddogs.com/lockedonnba and when you enter promo code, LOCKEDONNBA, they'll throw in a free custom birddogs Yeti-style tumbler with every order.eBay MotorsFor parts that fit, head to eBay Motors and look for the green check. This is where his love for the game started, which saw him go on and represent Shoalhaven, Newcastle, NSW and eventually Australia. After ending his playing career back where it all started, in the Shoalhaven, Lynch transitioned into a media career. This eventually saw him move to Canberra to work on the radio but also commentate sport, predominantly basketball. Being so good at what he did, Lynch had the opportunity to commentate at four Olympic Games, three FIBA World Championships and two Commonwealth Games. The now 70-year-old also had a big role in setting up the Bernie Regan Memorial Sporting Trust - which has donated more than $370,000 to junior Shoalhaven athletes over the past 34 years. They can be purchased at her website https://mightyruthiebolton.com  In this episode, we were blessed to have a conversation with Ruthie and discuss: Playing in the SEC at Auburn Your experiences playing on the US National Team The mindset needed for recovering from a torn ACL Your journey & accomplishments playing in the WNBA Tell us about your new book: From Pain To Power (what can readers expect to learn?) What would you like to be remembered for? Your legacy. Bolton was named to the team representing the USA at the World University Games held during July 1991 in Sheffield, England. While the USA team had won gold in 1983, they finished with the silver in 1985, in fifth place in 1987, and did not field a team in 1989. The team was coached by Tara VanDerveer of Stanford. After winning opening games easily, the USA faced China in the medal round. The USA shot only 36% from the field, but limited the team from China to 35%, and won 79–76 to advance to the gold medal game. There they faced 7–0 Spain, but won 88–62 to claim the gold medal. Bolton was the team's leading scorer with 14 points per game, just ahead of Lisa Leslie's 13 points per game. In 1994, Bolton-Holifield was named to the national team which competed in the World Championships in Sydney, Australia. The team was coached by Tara VanDerveer. The team won their early games, then advanced to the medal rounds and faced Brazil. Despite 17 points from Bolton-Holifield and 29 from Katrina McClain, the USA fell 110–107 when Brazil hit ten of ten free throws in the final minute. The USA went on to defeat Australia 100–95 to claim the bronze medal. Bolton continued with the national team to the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta, Georgia. Bolton was the leading scorer in the game against the Ukraine, with 21 points. She helped the team win all eight games to win the gold medal for the USA team. Bolton averaged 12.8 points per game and led the team in steals with 23. The national team traveled to Berlin, Germany in July and August 1998 for the FIBA World Championships. The USA team won a close opening game against Japan 95–89, then won their next six games easily. In the semifinal game against Brazil, the USA team was behind as much as ten points in the first half. Bolton hit a three pointer in the second half to give her team the lead, as part of a 16-point scoring effort, and the USA went on to win 93–79. The gold medal game was a rematch against Russia. In the first game, the USA team dominated almost from the beginning, but in the rematch, the team from Russia took the early lead and led much of the way. With under two minutes remaining, the USA was down by two points when Bolton hit a three pointer to give the USA a lead. Russia tied the game, but Bolton hit another three to give the USA a lead they would not give up. The USA held on to win the gold medal 71–65. Bolton continued with the national team to the 2000 Olympics in Sydney, Australia. The USA won all eight games, including the gold medal game against host Australia to win the gold medal. Bolton averaged 5.0 points per game.

Today's guest is Jen Rizzotti. Jen is entering her third season as the head coach of the George Washington women's basketball team. Jen guided the Colonials back to the NCAA Tournament in her second season at the helm in 2017-18 after leading the program to the Atlantic 10 Championship.  Rizzotti was named the 10th head coach of GW women's basketball on April 15, 2016. Coach Rizzotti spent the previous 17 seasons as the head coach of the Hartford Hawks, where she built a conference powerhouse in taking the Hawks to all six NCAA appearances in program history, winning a pair of NCAA Tournament games, and distinguishing herself as the all-time winningest coach in America East history. Inducted into the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame in 2013, Rizzotti is well-known in basketball circles around the world. After taking control of a Hartford program that went 8-19 in the year before she was hired and that had never won more than 15 games prior to her arrival, the Hawks enjoyed 11 seasons with more than 15 victories in her tenure and won at least 20 games seven times. Following the 2009-10 regular season, Rizzotti was named a finalist for the Kay Yow National Coach of the Year award after leading Hartford to a school-record 20-game winning streak, a perfect 16-0 record in conference play and the program's first-ever national ranking. Rizzotti is also deeply connected to international basketball through her involvement with the USA Women's Basketball national program. She served as head coach of 2010 FIBA Americas U18 gold medal winners as well as the 2011 U19 World Champions. In 2011 she was crowned as the USA Basketball National Coach of the Year. More recently Rizzotti served as an assistant for the 2014 FIBA World Championships and served in a support role for the USA Basketball Women's National Team's Gold Medal run at the 2016 Olympic Games. As a student-athlete at the University of Connecticut, Rizzotti first vaulted into the national spotlight as the starting point guard for the Huskies' first national championship team in 1995 with an undefeated 35-0 record. During the run to the national title, Rizzotti was featured on the cover of Sports Illustrated. A former All-American and the NCAA Regional Most Outstanding Player after her junior and senior seasons, in 1996 Rizzotti virtually swept the postseason awards as Big East Player of the Year, Big East Scholar-Athlete of the Year, the Associated Press Player of the Year, the Collegiate Woman Athlete of the Year and the Wade Trophy winner. Rizzotti graduated as UConn's career leader in assists (637) and steals (349) and still ranks second all-time in those categories. As a coach and formerly as a student-athlete, Rizzotti's focus on academics has always been exemplary. Under her guidance, Hartford was ranked among the Women's Basketball Coaches Association's Academic Top 25 teams on three occasions. Another accolade from her playing days was awarded in June 2016 when the two-time Academic All-American and 1996 Academic All-American of the Year was officially inducted into the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-America Hall of Fame. Rizzotti played eight seasons of professional basketball following her graduation from UConn in 1996. In addition to five seasons in the WNBA - two with the Houston Comets and three with the Cleveland Rockers - she competed for three seasons with the New England Blizzard in the American Basketball League. In the ABL she was a two-time All-Star. You can follow GW on Twitter @GW_WBB.
