Ricky Hatton, known as “The Hitman” and beloved by legions of fans, passed away on 14 September 2025 aged 46. Born in Stockport, Greater Manchester, Hatton turned professional in 1997, going on to carve out a storied career in the light‐welterweight and welterweight divisions. He captured world titles, most memorably defeating Kostya Tszyu in 2005, and amassed an outstanding record of 45 wins in 48 fights.  Hatton's appeal transcended his ring achievements. His ferocious, all-action style won him dedicated fan support, tens of thousands followed him even across oceans.  Afterwards, he was open about life's battles: depression, substance abuse and the challenge of life once gloves were off. His frankness on mental health made him a powerful figure of empathy in British sport.  Ricky Hatton's legacy will endure, as a warrior in the ring; an everyman who made the extraordinary seem within reach; and a voice for those whose fights happen outside it.

007 First Light had it's first gameplay reveal. This is the new Bond game from IO Interactive, the creators of Hitman. It's looking good in some areas and not so much in others. How will it turn out when it releases next year?Brett revisits some older games. He dives back into No Man's Sky Voyagers update with the new build-your-own Corvette's. It's an awesome update and No Man's Sky is a technical marvel, but it's daunting and Brett keeps realizing that every time he jumps back in.Brett also went to see The Witcher in Concert and that brought him into The Witcher 3. He may have also convinced everyone else to jump back into it. The Witcher 3 came out 10 years ago and it surprisingly still holds up!We also finished Mafia The Old Country and take a look back at the Mafia games of the past and what they could do in the future. We were a little let down by the overall package provided in The Old Country and Mafia 3 and 2 definitely showed us they can make amazing stories with fun gameplay.Lastly, we're 10 years old! PlayStation fund de laatste tijd veel games die niet veel hoger dan een 6 scoren. In de top 15 meest gespeelde games op de PS5 van de maanden stond ook geen enkele game van PlayStation zelf. Hoe kan dit? De beide heren gaan erover in discussie.

Endlich gibt es Gameplay-Einblicke in Project 007: First Light, und das James-Bond-Gefühl stellt sich sofort ein. Die Präsentation erinnert an die Hitman-Reihe von IO Interactive, was keine Überraschung ist, da die talentierten Entwickler auch hinter diesem neuen Bond-Spiel stehen. Auf der Gamescom konnte ich hinter verschlossenen Türen eine Mission erkunden. Durch das Anzeigen wichtiger Objekte konnte ich clever Ablenkungen schaffen und mir Zugang zu gesicherten Bereichen verschaffen.Ob man die Mission nun schleichend angeht oder sich für actionreiche Verfolgungsjagden entscheidet, das Spiel bietet beides. Es fühlt sich an wie ein Mix aus Hitman und Uncharted, wobei es sogar Parallelen zu den jungen Bond-Filmen gibt. Auch wenn es noch eine Weile dauert, bis wir mehr zu sehen bekommen, war das, was ich erleben durfte, ein Actionfeuerwerk auf höchstem Niveau.
