What if the path to more abundance starts with doing less, not more? In this episode of Speak, Easy, we're exploring how ease, rest, and softness can be some of our most powerful tools for calling in abundance. Starting with a life update about reconnecting with someone from our past, we reflect on the unexpected ways manifestation works—especially when we allow ourselves to fully want what we want. Through personal stories and real-world integration, we unpack how ease doesn't mean giving up—it means letting in. This episode invites us to reconsider how we work, create, and move through the world, especially when we're ready to do it on our own terms. Key Takeaways: ✨ The power of reconnecting and real-life proof of manifestation in motion ✨ How choosing ease can lead to deeper productivity and creativity ✨ The importance of allowing our desires without guilt or second-guessing ✨ How to experiment with routines that support flow instead of pressure ✨ Why shifting our mindset around effort can change everything ✨ Practical ways to blend ambition with rest and softness This episode is for you if you're craving more alignment in how you work, lead, and live—and you're ready to relax into a new way of receiving. Is your job getting in the way of the career you want?Today, I'm talking about a common theme which comes up in my coaching sessions: How to balance your long-term career goals with the demands of your current role.Like one client put it, it's easy to get caught up in the ‘hamster wheel' of daily tasks -- and forget to allocate time to your long-term priorities. ESPECIALLY when the pace of change in the past few years has forced us to focus on fighting fires and short-term strategy. As this client experienced, thinking short-term led them to put their employer first and completely neglect their own career goals and development. Had they not addressed this, it could have hindered their ability to reach their long-term goals and limited them to whatever path their organisation offered them. And what I'm noticing right now as we get towards the end of the year is that SO many people are confused about what they want next in their careers. But they're also busy, exhausted and waiting until the new year (like everyone else) to figure it out. So what are some ways you can start to address this -- and set yourself up for success next year?In this episode, I'm sharing 5 strategies to balance your daily to-do list and long-term career goals, so you can take back control of your career! You'll learn:The danger of ticking ‘easy' items off your to-do list -- and why understanding your priorities is the essential starting pointWhat overwhelm is ACTUALLY trying to tell you and practical steps to get unstuck The REAL reason you keep procrastinating on your biggest priorities -- and what to do about it An often overlooked step which is CRITICAL to achieving your long-term career goalsTangible tips to help you accomplish your daily work tasks AND your big career ambitionsSo hit play on this episode NOW and let's dive in!Thanks for listening. I received a question from a listener, Alasa. She asked “How can I find time to organize when I can't even keep up with daily tasks?”  Alasa asked me this question and is receiving customized recommendations back through email. She initiated our conversation and my free support and you can too by going to www.homeorganizingforbeginners.com and clicking the Ask Me Anything link. Today's microscopic home organizing topic is how to make your home feel less messy. Yes, less messy. I don't want to make a promise that in a few simple steps you can make your entire home feel organized and impeccable. That isn't reality. But you can make it feel less messy in a few steps. And this is a starting point. As someone who is or feels like they're just starting their home organizing journey you want to be set up for lasting home organizing solutions, right?  In order to make that happen you'll have to do something different than you've done before or what society tells us. Instead of holding yourself to an impossible standard that you don't have time for, you can focus on making small areas of your home less messy so that you make progress, build momentum and keep moving forward in your home organizing journey. In this episode I'll share some encouragement, what the problem is that prevents progress and the steps you can follow to make your home feel less messy. Your Home Organizing Educator, Tammy

Mindfulness in Daily Tasks: Explore how mundane activities can become opportunities for mindfulness

Mindful Life

Play Episode Listen Later Nov 12, 2023 4:15

In the hustle and bustle of our daily lives, it's easy to overlook the potential for mindfulness in the seemingly mundane activities that fill our days. Yet, within the folds of routine tasks lies a rich tapestry of opportunities to cultivate a profound sense of presence and awareness. Picture this: the gentle rhythm of your morning routine, from sipping that first cup of coffee to the methodical act of tying your shoelaces. In each of these ordinary actions, there exists a hidden sanctuary for mindfulness. Take the simple act of washing dishes, for example. In the cadence of water flowing over soapy plates, one can discover a symphony of sensations. The warmth of the water, the smooth texture of each dish, and the subtle scent of soap become a canvas for mindfulness. As you immerse yourself fully in the experience, the worries of yesterday and the anxieties about tomorrow fade away. The mundane transforms into a meditation, an opportunity to be entirely present in the now. Even the act of walking from one room to another becomes a pilgrimage of mindfulness. Each step, a reminder to ground yourself in the sensations of movement – the gentle rise and fall, the subtle shift of weight from one foot to the other. The destination becomes secondary; the journey, an exploration of the present moment. Mindfulness in daily tasks is not about grand gestures or monumental shifts in routine. It's about recognizing that each dish washed, each step taken, and each key tapped on the keyboard can be an invitation to mindfulness. It's an acknowledgment that the ordinary is, in fact, extraordinary when approached with intention and presence. In the midst of our fast-paced lives, these small moments become anchors, grounding us in the richness of our existence. They serve as a reminder that life isn't just about the grand milestones; it's about the quiet, overlooked spaces between them. By infusing mindfulness into these moments, we unlock a reservoir of tranquility and joy. So, the next time you find yourself engaged in a seemingly mundane task, pause for a moment. Feel the textures, notice the sensations, and breathe in the simplicity of the moment. In these ordinary acts, lies the extraordinary practice of mindfulness, transforming the mundane into a sanctuary of presence and peace.
