Most men want to succeed in life, but could never explain how it's truly done. We chase goals, work harder, and push ourselves, yet still feel like something is missing. The world promises success, comfort, and freedom, but delivers noise, confusion, emptiness, and disappointment. In this episode, John Heinen and Devin Schadt reveal 7 Rules Only the Best Men Know, a framework that works 100% of the time. These rules cut through the noise and give men the clarity and strength they've been missing. With Scripture, Catholic wisdom, and lived experience, they challenge men to stop drifting, stop doubting, and start living with purpose. COUPON CODE for 20% Off: Gentleman20

Welcome to Episode 63 ! I'm excited to kick off this journey with a deep dive into some pressing issues and stories in the amateur radio world, plus how each of us can make a difference when disaster strikes. In this episode, I discuss: Amateur Radio Operator Conduct — What it means to uphold professionalism, ethics, and responsibility in our communications. We'll explore what makes good operator behavior, how to deal with conflict or disagreements, and why conduct matters more than ever. The Closing of VE2DX — What this closure tells us about challenges facing repeaters, infrastructure, and ham-radio communities today. Amateur Radio Emergency Preparedness Act (H.R. 1094 / S. 459) — What this proposed legislation would do, how it might affect us, and why it matters for emergency response and resiliency in communications. How to Get Involved with Emergency Preparedness — Practical steps you can take to be ready, stay connected, and contribute when emergencies happen. Whether through training, volunteering, or building local networks, there's a role for everyone. If you care about responsible radio operation, advocacy, and stepping up in times of crisis, this episode is for you. Subscribe for future episodes where we'll explore more topics shaping the amateur radio community and how you can stay informed and active. Dr. Judy Morgan discusses with Dr. Terry Fossum the potential of using dogs as a better predictive model for drug approval compared to mice. Dr. Fossum highlights the inefficiencies and high costs of current drug development, noting that in 2022, the U.S. spent $100.8 billion on prescription drugs, and globally, $1.3 trillion. She emphasizes the need for more efficient and cost-effective methods, citing that 50% of healthcare dollars go to 5% of the population, largely due to chronic diseases. Listen in as Dr. Fossum shares her research showing promise with using dogs that have naturally occurring disease as a more predictive model for human disease. Fascinating! Lily King talking on Books, Beach & Beyond (2025)- on love "Love is really the most important thing to us and possibly the thing, the only thing that is going to save us from our other impulses. I am extremely concerned about the state of mind of this country and what we are allowing and what we have voted in and what we are experiencing and, in in some ways, our lack of resistance to it, and our our silence and our complicity. And it all really comes down to love. And if we lose that ability, I don't think AI is going to help us with love, I don't think Instagram is going to help us with love. I feel like all of our habits that are increasing and increasing are pulling us apart even giving us the illusion that its not, but we are, and we have to remember what it is like to love people. In all of those forms. It is the thing that makes us human. And we have to stay human." Lily King A few of my other favorite quotes from Writers & Lovers “When my mother died, I sort of felt her inside me sometimes,' I say. ‘Like I'd swallowed her.' He laughs. ‘Swallowed her.' ‘I still have moments when I feel that, when it feels like she's inside me, and there's no difference between us or that the difference doesn't matter.” ― Lily King, Writers & Lovers “I can tell he lost someone close somehow. You can feel that in people, an openness, or maybe it's an opening that you're talking into. With other people, people who haven't been through something like that, you feel the solid wall. Your words go scattershot off of it.” ― Lily King, Writers & Lovers “When I was visiting her a few years ago she hugged me and said, ‘Tomorrow after you leave I will stand here at this window and remember that yesterday you were right here with me.' And now she's dead and I have that feeling all the time, no matter where I stand.” ― Lily King, Writers & Lovers “I look into my eyes, but they aren't really mine, not the eyes I used to have. They're the eyes of someone very tired and very sad, and once I see them I feel even sadder and then I see that sadness, that compassion, for the sadness in my eyes, and I see the water rising in them. I'm both the sad person and the person wanting to comfort the sad person. And then I feel sad for that person who has so much compassion because she's clearly been through the same thing, too. And the cycle keeps repeating. It's like when you go into a dressing room with a three-paneled mirror and you line them up just right to see the long narrowing hallway of yourselves diminishing into infinity. It feels like that, like I'm sad for an infinite number of my selves.” ― Lily King, Writers & Lovers Note: Some links are listed as Amazon Affiliate Links. In this episode of the Braun Performance & Rehab Podcast, Dan is joined by Athan Kollias to discuss 3D force plates and innovations in sports tech including AI & biomechanics.Athanase Kollias is the CEO of Kinvent, a Scale Up Cohort 7 company developing technology to help people in physical rehabilitation and athletes improve their movements and performance through precise measurements and real-time feedback. Raised in Thessaloniki, Greece, Athan grew up surrounded by biomechanics. He spent his childhood in his father Iraklis' lab, watching as his father—a biokinetics professor—built innovative equipment to overcome budget constraints. This hands-on exposure to movement science lit a spark in Athan early on, fueling a passion that would shape his future. A former athlete himself, Athan competed in rowing and rugby for over a decade, experiencing firsthand the frustrations of injury recovery. It was during these challenges that the idea for KINVENT began to form—a way to bridge the gap between biomechanics and accessible tools for therapists and coaches. His journey took him from Thessaloniki to Paris, where he earned a double degree in mechanical engineering, splitting his studies between his home university and the prestigious École Centrale. This experience not only honed his technical skills but also opened doors to the French industry. Athan's career began at Michelin in France, where he applied his biomechanics expertise to improve driver comfort in mining vehicles. Later, he worked in Cameroon, further broadening his technical and business experience in diverse environments. For more on Athan & Kinvent be sure to follow @kinvent_official & @athan_kollias*SEASON 6 of the Braun Performance & Rehab Podcast is brought to you by Isophit.
