Bo has lived with Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) for years, but before their diagnosis they thought they had narcolepsy because they would regularly "black out" with no memory of what had happened. In this episode of Tea At Four, hosts Lauren and Billy sit down with Bo to unpack the reality of living with DID, from the trauma that caused different parts of her identity to form, to the misconceptions they face every day online. They explains how many alters they live with, and how some of their alters have their own names, memories, ages, accents and even beliefs. Bo opens up about how their alters helped protect them from traumatic memories, what dating is like when different alters have different relationships, and why the internet needs to stop "fake claiming" people living with the disorder. This is one of the most honest and eye-opening conversations we've had about Dissociative Identity Disorder, trauma, memory and what it's really like to share your mind with different parts of yourself. This is one of the most honest and eye-opening conversations we've had about Dissociative Identity Disorder, trauma, memory and what it's really like to share your mind with different parts of yourself.

This episode examines a recent expert discussion on Dissociative Identity Disorder from the Psychiatry & Psychotherapy Podcast, outlining the trauma-model claims around developmental origins, media myths, and supporting neuroscience. We then turn a more critical eye to institutional biases, the limits of the studies cited, and ongoing scientific skepticism about the diagnosis itself. The goal is a clearer view of both the evidence presented and the significant gaps that remain.

Sometimes awakening arrives gently. At other times, it begins when everything we thought we were falls apart. In this deeply personal conversation, I'm joined by Thayne Martin, whose extraordinary life has included childhood trauma, dissociative identity disorder, addiction, suicide attempts, severe mental-health struggles and a near-death experience that transformed his understanding of life.Thayne describes entering his swimming pool as an atheist and awakening at the bottom after losing consciousness. What followed, he says, was an experience of overwhelming love, a life review and an encounter with a reality that changed everything he believed about God, death and consciousness. We explore how trauma can shape identity, why outward success does not always heal what lies beneath it, and what happens when the coping mechanisms that once protected us begin to control our lives.I also share parts of my own journey through addiction, trauma and psychosis, as we reflect on the very different paths through which people awaken. For some, it is meditation or spiritual practice. For others, it can be grief, addiction, breakdown or being brought to the very edge of life.Later in the conversation, Thayne shares the ideas he developed following his near-death experience, including his Equation of Life and Abundant Happiness, the importance of experiential gratitude, and why he believes healing must involve the nervous system as well as the mind. This is a raw, thought-provoking conversation about survival, spirituality, authenticity and whether our darkest chapters can sometimes become doorways into a deeper understanding of ourselves.Thayne's work focuses on authenticity, emotional balance, gratitude, hope and helping people move beyond the identities and wounds that have shaped themThayne Martin is a podcaster, speaker, entrepreneur, author, pianist and entertainer. Following a life marked by trauma, mental-health struggles and a profound near-death experience, he created the Equation of Life and Abundant Happiness and founded It's Pure Love. His work explores gratitude, emotional intelligence, nervous-system healing, authenticity and helping people stop chasing happiness outside themselves. His central message is that people are more than their wounds and can begin rewriting the stories that have shaped their lives. His guest sheet describes his work as combining neuroscience, emotional balance, gratitude, presence and energetic alignment.Content note - This episode contains open discussion of childhood sexual abuse, suicide attempts, addiction, mental illness, trauma and near-death experiences. Ep #146 - In this episode of The Awakened Heart Podcast, I sit down with Thayne Martin for a powerful conversation about emotional healing, gratitude, neuroscience, unconditional love, and the journey from surviving trauma to creating a life of greater peace, connection, and purpose.Thayne's life story is extraordinary. After experiencing profound childhood trauma, living with Dissociative Identity Disorder, struggling with addiction, and surviving multiple near-death experiences, he began a deeply personal journey of healing and self-discovery. Through that process, he developed a new understanding of how our subconscious beliefs, emotional patterns, and life experiences shape the way we see ourselves and the world around us.Together, we explore how gratitude can become much more than a positive thought or daily checklist. Thayne shares the neuroscience behind gratitude, love, emotional balance, and human connection - and explains how intentional experiences may help us shift deeply rooted beliefs and create meaningful change from within. We also talk about the neurochemicals connected to love and bonding, including oxytocin, dopamine, and vasopressin; the influence of media and subconscious programming; healing generational and ancestral patterns; heart-brain coherence; shadow work; spiritual awakening; and the importance of becoming aware of the emotional energy we bring into our everyday lives.Thayne also shares practical tools, including his “gratitude cocktail,” gratitude bracelet, gratitude sandwich protocol, and simple ways we can create meaningful moments of connection, even with complete strangers. One of the messages that stayed with me most from this conversation is that love and connection are what truly matter. When we begin changing what is happening within us, those changes naturally ripple outward into our relationships, communities, and the world around us.If you've been feeling emotionally stuck, disconnected, overwhelmed, or ready to create a deeper sense of inner peace, I hope this conversation reminds you that healing is possible, and that small, intentional moments of gratitude, kindness, awareness, and genuine connection can have a much greater impact than we realize. In this episode, we explore:Thayne's journey through childhood trauma, DID, addiction, and healingHow his near-death experiences changed his understanding of life and connectionThe relationship between neuroscience, gratitude, love, and emotional healingHow subconscious beliefs influence our emotions and behaviorThe “gratitude cocktail” and the brain chemistry connected to gratitudePractical ways to create authentic moments of connection with strangersOxytocin, dopamine, vasopressin, and emotional balanceHow experiential learning may help shift deeply rooted patternsHeart-brain coherence and awarenessShadow work, epigenetics, and ancestral traumaThe influence of media and subconscious programmingSpiritual awakening, consciousness, abundance, and inner peaceWhat it truly means to live with an awakened heart Sound bites"We could add a podcast before the podcast.""Love and connection are what truly matter""Before was heavy, now I feel weightless"

What therapists often misunderstand about DID, childhood trauma, shame, attachment, and the therapeutic relationship—with psychotherapist and author Sally Maslansky. **If you find conversations about childhood sexual abuse activating, please take care with this episode. Although our discussion doesn't contain explicit details, abuse is a central theme.**  Because hindsight is 20/20, allow me to add a bit of self-evaluation to this conversation with Sally Maslansky, LMFT, my emotionally wise and accomplished guest. Sally is a licensed psychotherapist, speaker, consultant, and author of A Brilliant Adaptation: How Dissociative Identity and the Therapeutic Bond Saved Me. Her work centers on the power of relationship, the complexity of the mind, and the possibility of healing even in the aftermath of profound childhood trauma.  Sally's life and career can serve as proof that people with dissociative identity disorder (DID) can heal. Here are three points to take away from this discussion: DID truly is a superior survival adaptation. It generally develops in response to attachment wounds sustained in childhood. Shame––not the feeling that we've done something bad but that we are bad––is a bummer! The more we can build capacity to identify the implicit or explicit shame-based lessons of our childhood, the closer we get to connecting with ourselves and each other. Therapists can (and should) "meet" their patients' dissociated states. With proper training and supervision, these interactions can become part of a compassionate reintegration process. "Therapy," concludes Sally, "is a collaborative venture." I agree. It's not about needing to fix; it's about accountability and liberating ourselves from trauma. Most of what people know about Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) comes from movies and short videos, and those media portrayals often have little to do with what DID is actually like. To get the real picture, today Forrest is joined by Dr. Milissa Kaufman and Dr. Lauren Lebois, experts in dissociative disorders and trauma research. Dr. Kaufman had DID herself, went through treatment, and made a full recovery.  They explore the spectrum of dissociation, from everyday experiences to clinical presentations like DID, before talking about how DID develops as a childhood adaptation to trauma, the problem with the term “multiple personality disorder,” and what the brain science tells us. Milissa describes her own “inside people,” the shame and secrecy associated with DID, and the slow shift from "that wasn't me" to "that was me all along." They then cover what treatment looks like, what to actually look for in a therapist, and what recovery means. About our Guests: Dr. Milissa Kaufman is a trauma psychiatrist at McLean Hospital and Associate Professor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. Together, they explore how developmental trauma can fragment identity, why dissociation emerges as a survival strategy, and what it takes to gradually integrate a life story that was once too overwhelming to remember.Drawing on attachment theory, interpersonal neurobiology, and her own lived experience, Sally discusses dissociative identity disorder through a compassionate, evidence-informed lens. The conversation examines concepts such as structural dissociation, "fear without solution," autobiographical memory, and the importance of pacing trauma work. They also explore the central role of the therapeutic relationship, curiosity, embodiment, and emotional safety in fostering healing and integration.Whether you're a mental health professional, someone living with the effects of trauma, or simply interested in how the mind protects itself under overwhelming circumstances, this conversation offers a thoughtful and deeply human perspective on trauma, resilience, and recovery.Guest: Sally Maslansky, LMFTLicensed Marriage and Family Therapist and author of A Brilliant Adaptation: A Therapist's Journey into the Hidden World of Dissociative Identity Disorder.

How Trauma Splits A Soul (Dissociative Identity Disorder)

In this episode, Dr. K explores the intersection of psychiatry and spirituality to answer the profound question of whether individuals with multiple personalities share a single soul. Drawing on psychoanalytic theory, neuroscience, and yogic philosophy, he explains how severe trauma can shatter the psyche. He argues that the resulting dissociation is a desperate attempt by the mind to protect a person's vital spark of aliveness from an overwhelming tsunami of negativity. What to expect in this episode: The Consensus on the Soul: An exploration of how various traditions define the soul not as a religious concept, but as the central witnessing and experiencing force that exists beyond the ordinary mind. The Pokemon Trainer Analogy: A look at how a healthy person manages different aspects of their personality like connected "Pokemon," whereas in Dissociative Identity Disorder, the unifying "trainer" is lost and personalities switch without coordination. The Siege of Helm's Deep: A breakdown of how overwhelming childhood trauma forces the mind to wall off its "vital spark" of joy and innocence to protect it from annihilation. Depersonalization vs. Derealization: Understanding the difference between feeling like an "empty shell" with no internal self and feeling like the outside world is trapped behind a "glass wall" or fog. Avatars of the Ultra-Real: Why individuals who have been heavily traumatized often develop an uncanny capacity for mystical experiences and access to a non-ordinary reality that better-adapted people cannot perceive. The Brain Bisection Debate: Exploring neuroscience experiments where severing the connection between brain hemispheres creates two independent consciousnesses, challenging the idea of a single, transcendent soul. The "Dark Side" of Spirituality: Why internal protectors can sometimes turn into malevolent persecutors or "demons" that resist the healing process in psychotherapy. Standing in the Spaces: A technical look at how healing involves moving from defensive switching to the capacity to feel like oneself while being many, maintaining continuity across all aspects of life. Rewiring the Narrative: Practical insights on using autonomic rewiring and identity formation to help the mind handle high emotional energy without fracturing. Send me a DM here (it doesn't let me respond), OR email me: imagineabetterworld2020@gmail.comToday I'm so honored to have back on the show once again: Non-binary, queer and polyfragmented cult torture, mind control, and incest survivor, overcomer and whistleblower living with Dissociative Identity Disorder, award winning published - and passionate - writer and author - writing the books they needed as a struggling teen and couldn't find, content creator, artist and visionary, entrepreneur, educator, and the brightest and most colorful light in this dark world: Cheryl Rainfield. A little bit about Cheryl if you missed their last episode or need a recap, as well as what you can expect to hear about in today's episode: Born in Toronto and raised in what appeared to be an ordinary middle-class family, Cheryl endured horrors few can fathom: intergenerational organized cult torture involving ritual abuse, mind control, trafficking, incest, and calculated programming designed to shatter body, mind, and soul. From birth—likely even in utero—the cults (interconnected KKK, Nazi, satanic, and Christian factions stretching back generations) subjected them to extreme torture, sexual violence, and psychological warfare in everyday places like church basements, forests, warehouses, and private homes. Yet even as a child, Cheryl found cracks in the darkness. Writing and art became their first lifelines, silent workarounds that allowed truth to slip past threats and programming. In their early teens, parts of their system began sharing memories, starting with incest. A school story written by one part reached a believing teacher, prompting police and child protective services involvement—a fragile first step toward light. But safety was not immediate. Cult-involved parents deployed a sabotaging therapist, and torture intensified. But Cheryl's system refused silence. At 15, they chose their own therapist—an extraordinary cult torture survivor with DID—who instantly recognized the switching and offered profound validation. Cheryl lives with polyfragmented DID: thousands of fragments forming complex hubs, subgroups, and inner worlds, some self-created for protection, others deliberately crafted by the cult. Escape was not one dramatic moment but a marathon of courage—layer by layer, memory by memory, through inner cooperation, unraveling programming, and building co-consciousness. It took most of their life, but they reached safety, proving freedom is possible no matter how long the road.Through it all, writing and art served as a sanctuary and superpower. Cheryl began pouring pain onto pages as soon as they could hold a pencil. In their late 20s and early 30s, they became the author they needed as a struggling teen—the one they couldn't find. Their award-winning books, including Scars (with Cheryl's own scarred arm on the cover), Stained, Hunted, and Visions, draw deeply from trauma and healing while delivering powerful literary fiction. Beyond the page, Cheryl's impact radiates through social media, articles, raw videos, podcasts, and art that illuminates cult torture, polyfragmented DID, mind control, and the path to wholeness. On Cheryl's last episode we did together, we explored their testimony in depth - I would highly encourage you to watch that episode before or after this one to be truly inspired by what Cheryl has lived through and overcome. On today's episode, we will be diving deeper into topics pertaining to Dissociative Identities - self and cult created, Dissociative Identity Disorder, cult abuse and torture, recovery, healing, creativity through art - and so much more. Cheryl is not only a survivor—they are a miracle in motion, a revolution of hope, and the brightest and most colorful light this world has ever seen. Their story is far from over. And because they chose to rise, countless others now know they can too. The future is brighter because Cheryl is here—and together, with hearts open and voices united, we are lighting up the world. Some Signs and Symptoms of Cult Torture and How To Help:-https://www.cherylrainfield.com/some-signs-and-symptoms-of-cult-torture-and-how-to-help/Articles on cult torture and programming:-https://www.cherylrainfield.com/articles-cult-abuse/Resources on cult torture and DID -https://www.cherylrainfield.com/links-healing/Books on cult torture/RAMCOA:-Becoming Yourself by Alison Miller-Healing The Unimaginable by Alison Miller-Demystifying Mind Control & Ritual Abuse -Safe Passage to Healing by Chrystine Oksana. Still to this day, this psychological condition is most often referred to by its previous name: multiple personality disorder. That's in particular down to exaggerated representations in popular culture like books, TV or cinema. Some prominent examples are the story of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho or, more recently, Split. Experts have criticised the use of DID as a plot device in such representations, saying they often confuse it with other disorders like psychosis or schizophrenia. They also perpetuate certain myths about people with mental illnesses. These include the idea that they are usually dangerous or have flamboyant personalities.  So what is DID really like then? Doesn't that happen to everyone? Where does it come from? In under 3 minutes, we answer your questions! Trauma recovery, neuroscience, and gratitude converge in one of the most remarkable conversations on A Swift Kick in the Ass. Guest Thayne Martin — founder of itspureLove.com — is a childhood sexual abuse survivor who spent decades in silence before a near-death experience unlocked a completely new path forward. Thayne was diagnosed with Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID), Bipolar 1, severe ADHD, and complex PTSD. After multiple suicide attempts and years of severe over-medication, a late-thirties crisis brought everything to the surface. Then a near-death drowning experience became a spiritual awakening — and the beginning of everything. In this episode, Thayne introduces "The Equation of Life and Abundant Happiness" — a behavioral change and emotional healing framework built on mathematical principles. Addition (what to bring in), subtraction (what to release), multiplication (energy alignment and support), and division (sharing your abundance). At the center of it all: gratitude as the equal sign — the neurological bridge that quiets the amygdala, activates the prefrontal cortex, and begins rewriting fear-based neural circuits formed by childhood experiences. His gratitude protocol and 101 experiential neuroscience exercises are currently under study at universities. Concepts like Glimmer Surfing, Dare to Be Second, and the hamburger communication framework give listeners immediately applicable tools for personal growth, mental wellness, and mindfulness. If you are on a healing journey, interested in the science of the mind, or simply looking for a practical framework for a more meaningful life — this episode is essential listening. Send me a DM here (it doesn't let me respond), OR email me: imagineabetterworld2020@gmail.comIn this powerful and deeply disturbing 'Movie Night', we dive into one of the most controversial documents in the history of alleged Satanic Ritual Abuse (SRA) investigations: The RAINS List.RAINS stands for Ritual Abuse Information Network and Support. It was meticulously compiled in the early 2000s by leading psychiatrist Dr. Joan Coleman, who noticed striking patterns in her patients' testimonies. Severe trauma survivors — often diagnosed with Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) — independently named the same high-profile abusers, the same stately homes and venues, the same vehicles, and the same ritualistic techniques, even when they had no contact with each other. Dr. Coleman only added names when corroborated by multiple unrelated sources. The list focuses primarily on the south coast of England during the New Labour era but points to a much wider phenomenon among elites across the UK and beyond. The speaker notes that simply mentioning the REIGNS List often triggers coordinated ridicule, threats, and pushback — including from former intelligence colleagues — yet persists because “Christ has already defeated the devil and all his lies.”Original Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pL8jnuJt27YCONNECT WITH EMMA:YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@imaginationpodcastofficialRumble: https://rumble.com/c/TheImaginationPodcastEMAIL: imagineabetterworld2020@gmail.com OR standbysurvivors@protonmail.comMy Substack: https://emmakatherine.substack.com/BUY ME A COFFEE: https://www.buymeacoffee.com/theimaginationVENMO: @emmapreneurCASHAPP: $EmmaKatherine1204All links: https://direct.me/theimaginationpodcastSupport the show

Following the publication of the book Sybil, the general public became fascinated with Dissociative Identity Disorder (then known as Multiple Personalities). However, nothing would capture this attention more than the case of Billy Milligan, who, after raping several women on the campus of Ohio State University, became the first person to plead insanity due to DID successfully. What followed was public scrutiny and attention, asking if he was simply faking the whole thing to avoid consequences, or if he truly had to contend with 24 distinct, unique personalities. A Brilliant Adaptation: How Dissociative Identity Disorder and the Power of the Therapeutic Bond Saved Me (New Harbinger Publications, 2026) is a searing and profound memoir of one woman's journey through dissociative identity disorder and childhood sexual abuse--and how she found hope, healing, and recovery.  Sally Maslansky is living the perfect life: a beautiful home in Malibu, California, a successful Hollywood producer husband who adores her, and a recently adopted son she treasures. But when Sally begins to remember the trauma she endured as a child, her world begins to unravel. In this gripping and provocative memoir, psychotherapist Maslansky shares how childhood sexual abuse led her to develop dissociative identity disorder (DID), and how, with the help of renowned therapist Daniel J. Siegel, she ultimately recovers. The book reveals the power of therapeutic bond to heal deep attachment wounds, the science of neuroplasticity in healing the traumatized mind, and our capacity as human beings to reconcile unspeakable experiences in order to grow, change, and live vibrant, loving, and joyful lives against all odds. Together with Siegel, Maslansky slowly recovers her childhood memories and reconnects with the forgotten parts of herself--parts that she grows to admire, respect, honor, and love, because they literally saved her young mind from unimaginable horrors. In the book, Siegel describes Maslansky's DID as a brilliant adaptation of the mind--a protective force that kept her mentally safe when the people she should have trusted most were the ones responsible for her abuse. Whether you have struggled with DID yourself, love someone who has DID, or are simply looking to be inspired by the tenacity of the human spirit, this memoir offers a provocative glimpse into an often pathologized and misunderstood condition, and shows the profound and healing possibilities of therapy, human understanding, and the will to survive. Drew & Garden System chat with Jaime Pollack, founder of An Infinite Mind, to discuss her discovery of multiplicity, getting a diagnosis of dissociative identity disorder, and her incredible healing journey that led to the creation of An Infinite Mind and the formation of the Healing Together conference. Jaime Pollack lives in Central Florida where she works as a district Pre-K special education resource teacher. She also works part-time as an in-home early interventionist for special needs children aged birth to three. In 2005, she was diagnosed with Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) resulting from childhood trauma. Jaime searched for support only to find there were very limited resources available. Ministry can stir up all kinds of feelings, especially when we're dealing with conflict, with grief, with change. And the better we understand what's happening beneath the surface, the better we can lead ourselves—and our people—more thoughtfully and more effectively. In this episode, I'm speaking with Dr. Audrey Davidheiser, a licensed psychologist and the author of Grieving Wholeheartedly. Audrey helps us understand something called Internal Family Systems—IFS—a powerful way of thinking about our inner world and all those “parts” of us that can get in the way of effective leadership.THIS EPISODE'S HIGHLIGHTS INCLUDE:Audrey Davidheiser explains what drew her to Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy.Internal Family Systems is a psychological model that views people as having multiple internal "parts."Parts of yourself often express themselves in day-to-day decisions, sometimes even in conflict with each other.Markus Watson clarifies that having "parts" is different from dissociative identity disorder or multiple personalities.Audrey Davidheiser explains the difference between parts in IFS and the rigid, unaware system found in Dissociative Identity Disorder.Internal Family Systems builds on the foundation of family systems theory, adapting it to the internal world.Inside everyone are parts that take on different roles, often formed in response to significant experiences, such as trauma or relational wounds.Markus Watson illustrates the concept with the example of feeling different internal responses to everyday situations like going to a late-night movie.Every person has both helpful and challenging internal parts, such as critics, achievers, or comfort-seekers, and these parts influence behavior.Audrey Davidheiser introduces three types of parts in IFS: exiles (hurt parts), managers (protective parts), and firefighters (distracting/soothing parts).Parts are not inherently bad; even when their actions are destructive, they are typically trying to protect us or relieve pain.Markus Watson inquires about the relationship between sin and IFS, prompting Audrey Davidheiser to articulate how parts can miss the mark despite good intentions.Pastors can benefit from understanding their own internal parts, especially when reacting to challenging questions or situations in ministry.Audrey Davidheiser suggests the practice of being "unblended"—letting the true Self, rather than an emotional part, lead when responding to others.Leaders who operate from their "Self" (instead of from a part) can foster healthier responses and guide their communities through change with greater empathy and wisdom.RELEVANT RESOURCES AND LINKS:Audrey DavidheiserAim For Breakthrough websiteBooks mentioned:Grieving Wholeheartedly, by Audrey DavidheiserRelated Episodes:262: From Fired to Flourishing, with Chuck DeGroat254: Endless Expectations and Emotional Exhaustion206: The Healing Power of Pilgrimage, with Jon HuckinsSend me a text! Send me a DM here (it doesn't let me respond), OR email me: imagineabetterworld2020@gmail.comToday I'm so honored to introduce you all to: Non-binary, queer and polyfragmented cult torture, mind control, and incest survivor, overcomer and whistleblower living with Dissociative Identity Disorder, award winning published - and passionate - writer and author - writing the books they needed as a struggling teen and couldn't find, content creator, artist and visionary, entrepreneur, educator, and the brightest and most colorful light in this dark world: Cheryl Rainfield. A little bit about Cheryl and what you can expect to hear about in today's episode: Born in Toronto and raised in what appeared on the outside to be an ordinary middle-class family, Cheryl endured horrors few can fathom - intergenerational, organized cult torture involving ritual abuse, mind control, trafficking, and relentless programming designed to break body, mind, and soul. Yet even as a child, Cheryl found cracks in the darkness. Writing and art became their first lifelines - silent workarounds that allowed truth to slip past the threats. Early on in teenage years, folks inside the personality system began sharing memories, starting with the “easier” incest memories. A school story written by one of those parts reached a teacher who believed. Police and child protective services were called. It was a first, fragile step toward light. But safety was not immediate. Cult-involved parents responded with a therapist who deliberately slowed healing. Torture intensified at night. Still, the system inside refused to stay silent. By 15, Cheryl chose their own therapist - an extraordinary cult torture survivor with DID themselves = who instantly recognized the switching, the co-fronting, and the blending. That early validation became a cornerstone.Cheryl lives with a polyfragmented dissociative identity - a complex structure born of extreme, calculated torture. Thousands of fragments form hubs, splits, and subgroups, some self-created for protection, others deliberately crafted by the cult. Escape was not one dramatic moment but a marathon of courage. Slowly, layer by layer, Cheryl reached safety. It took most of their life, but they did it—proving that no matter how long the road, freedom can come.Through it all, writing was both a sanctuary and a superpower. Cheryl began as soon as they could hold a pencil, pouring pain onto pages when speech was forbidden. In their late twenties and early thirties, they honed their craft and became the author they needed as a teen.  But Cheryl's impact stretches far beyond the page. On social media, through articles on their website (cherylrainfield.com), and in raw, compassionate videos and podcasts, they speak openly about cult torture, polyfragmented DID, mind control, and the path to healing. Today, Cheryl is more than a survivor. They are a warrior of the heart, a voice that refuses to be silenced, and a living proof that the most broken places can birth the most beautiful light. Their books, their words, their very existence whisper to every struggling soul: Healing is real. You can get safe. You can find joy again.CONNECT WITH CHERYL: TT: https://www.tiktok.com/@cherylrainfieldIG: https://www.instagram.com/cherylrainfieldFB: https://www.facebook.com/cheryl.rainfield/YT: https://www.youtube.com/@Cheryl.Rainfield                                             Substack: httpSupport the show

Dr. Erik Goodwyn is a practising psychiatrist with a background in neurobiology who bridges the worlds of neuroscience, Jungian psychology, and fantasy. Erik is co-editor-in-chief of the International Journal of Jungian Studies and has written dozens of academic papers along with books on the neurobiology of the gods, dreams, and archetypes. Last year he published his first fantasy novel, King of the Forgotten Darkness, which won the Literary Titan Golden Book Award.________________In this return visit, we dive deep into who actually creates the dream – the Invisible Storyteller that isn't your conscious self. We explore the neuroscience behind this, discussing the Default Mode Network, Salience Network, and Executive Control Network, and what they reveal about dreaming, meaning-making, and the deeply non-egoic nature of consciousness. Erik shares clinical insights into Dissociative Identity Disorder as evidence of an underlying organising principle, we tangle with what it means for consciousness to be "non-egoic," and we work through his groundbreaking definition of archetypes through Cognitive Metaphor Theory. It's a conversation that challenges everything you think you know about who you are.________________

You can find all of Sula Lael's books on her Amazon Author page: https://www.amazon.com/stores/Sula-Lael/author/B00MIHL0NY?ref=ap_rdr&shoppingPortalEnabled=true In this episode of Breaking the Silence, host Dr. Gregory Williams and guest Sula Lael discuss the harrowing realities of child abuse and sex trafficking. They explore the path to recovery through the "Three A's" framework and the transformative power of faith, specifically focusing on the often-overlooked area of Satanic Ritual Abuse (SRA) and the establishment of specialized spiritual communities for survivors. The Framework of Healing and Personal Testimony Dr. Gregory Williams opens the session by sharing his personal struggle with ALS and his history as a survivor of familial trafficking. He emphasizes that healing is rarely linear, often involving "three steps forward and two steps back." Central to his recovery is a three-part psychological framework: Acknowledging the event to break the silence, Accepting that the trauma does not define one's identity, and Announcing the truth to reclaim stolen power. He argues against the term "voiceless," asserting that survivors have voices that simply require amplification and active listening from organizations that should ideally be led by those with lived experience. Unveiling the Reality of Occult Trafficking Guest Sula Lael, a pastor and author, provides a rare look into the world of Satanic Ritual Abuse (SRA) and occult trafficking. She recounts being exploited by an occult group starting at 18 months old, a trauma so severe it led to the development of Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) as a survival mechanism. Lael explains that this specific type of trafficking is often less about financial gain and more about spiritual influence and power. She notes a growing global awareness of these "secret" elite organizations, suggesting that society is finally ready to confront these darker layers of exploitation that have historically been suppressed. The Ministry of Restoration and "Survivor-Led" Support Lael has transitioned from victim to "Survivor's Pastor," founding the first-ever online survivor-led church. Her approach shifts from merely informing people about trafficking to "equipping" them with biblical strategies for healing. She describes the "Survivor Church" as a community where complex trauma is met with specialized spiritual care, including live prayer sessions, Bible studies, and faith-based courses designed to mend "fractured" souls. Both Williams and Lael conclude that while triggers and "warfare" may persist, true freedom is found in a relationship with Jesus Christ, who provides the "core power" necessary to overcome a history of horror. The dialogue between Dr. Williams and Sula Lael serves as a powerful testament that no trauma is too deep for restoration. By moving from silence to announcement and from information to equipment, survivors can transition from merely surviving to thriving. As Dr. Williams notes, as long as there is breath, there is always hope.

Send me a DM here (it doesn't let me respond), OR email me: imagineabetterworld2020@gmail.comToday I'm honored to have back on the show once again: Satanic ritual abuse, MK ULTRA and child trafficking survivor turned whistleblower, loving mother, writer and author of the book “Unplugged”, artist, jewelry and crafter maker, clothing designer, gardener, content creator, and my dear friend, Brooke Federline In case you're new here or if you need a refresher on Brooke's testimony - here is a short recap and a bit about what we will be talking about today: In the misty landscapes of New Zealand's North Island, where rolling hills meet endless skies, Brooke entered the world amid secrets that would define her extraordinary path. Born to parents entangled in a hidden web of cult influences, her early life was a mosaic of fragmented memories, veiled by amnesia – a protective shield forged in the fires of unimaginable trauma. From the outside, her childhood seemed ordinary: school days filled with fleeting friendships, high school marked by hidden struggles, and a quiet resilience that masked the storms within. Yet, beneath it all simmered a darkness – depression, anxiety, and PTSD symptoms that whispered of horrors she couldn't yet name.As a young woman in her 20s, Brooke sought escape, relocating to New Zealand's South Island amid escalating chaos she could scarcely recall. Relationships came and went, often imposed by unseen forces, including a coerced union laced with emotional and psychological abuse. She resisted marriage and motherhood, instinctively sensing the world's cruelties – a premonition rooted in buried truths about the world orchestrated by shadowy powers. But life persisted: after turning 30, she welcomed children into her life, a decision that would later bring forth her protective instincts against the very cycles she had endured. It was at university, pursuing psychology and criminal justice with dreams of forensics, that Brooke's world shattered – or rather, awakened. A lecture on the Power and Control Wheel, exposing the wrongs of psychological, emotional, physical, and sexual abuse, ignited a seismic shift. "That's been my whole life," she realized, as her mind recoiled from the "normal" she had known. What followed was a breakthrough disguised as a breakdown: vivid "dreams" revealed as real events, dissociation surged like a tidal wave, and fragments of her psyche emerged – alters born from trauma, including echoes of Disney archetypes like Beauty and the Beast, unwitting imprints from mind control programming.Diagnosed with Dissociative Identity Disorder, Brooke unraveled layers of her past - each memory holding pieces of a puzzle: child sex trafficking, Satanic ritual abuse, and MK ULTRA experiments...On today's episode, Brooke will be diving into healing and recovery with a discussion about breaking mind control, spiritual deliverance, the battle survivors face when getting free, and so much more. For over a century, neuroscience has assumed that consciousness is generated by the brain. But what if this assumption is wrong? In this episode of Mind-Body Solution, Dr. Tevin Naidu is joined by Professor Edward F. Kelly - co-author of Irreducible Mind, Beyond Physicalism, Consciousness Unbound (and many more) — to examine the empirical and conceptual evidence that consciousness cannot be fully explained by brain activity alone.TIMESTAMPS:00:00 – Introduction: The Limits of Brain-Based Models: Kelly's career, scope of inquiry, and why physicalism fails to account for mind08:55 – First Direct Encounter with Psi Phenomena: Meeting high-performing experimental subjects and abandoning residual skepticism13:45 – Why Physicalism Cannot Accommodate Psi as Facts of Nature: Empirical accumulation forces a worldview shift17:10 – The Cultural Consequences of Reductive Materialism: How mechanistic metaphysics shapes ecological and existential crises21:30 – Irreducible Mind: Strategy and Scope: Why Kelly and colleagues targeted physicalism empirically first29:30 – Extreme Psychophysical Phenomena: Stigmata, maternal impressions, and mind–body influence beyond placebo33:50 – Dissociative Identity Disorder & Multiple Centers of Consciousness: Why unitary brain-mind assumptions break down37:20 – Near-Death Experiences Under Clinical Unconsciousness: Verified perception during anesthesia and cardiac arrest41:05 – Empirical vs Conceptual Failures of Materialism: Why both lines of critique are now unavoidable44:50 – The Need for a Post-Physicalist Theory: Why data alone can't shift science without a new metaphysical framework49:25 – Beyond Physicalism: Surveying Alternative Worldviews: Idealism, dual-aspect monism, panentheism, and mystical traditions55:10 – Whitehead, Process Philosophy & Its Limits: Why mystical experience must be taken seriously as data59:20 – William James, the Subliminal Self & the Pluralistic Universe: Consciousness as layered, expansive, and not brain-produced1:03:35 – Consciousness Unbound: New Empirical Frontiers: Reincarnation cases, precognition, and psychedelic-induced mysticism1:07:45 – Bernardo Kastrup, Analytic Idealism & Survival Debates: Where Kelly agrees—and where he diverges1:11:30 – Physics, Possibility & Reality Beyond Actuality: Quantum foundations, potentiality, and expanded ontology1:15:55 – The New Book: Narrowing to Viable Post-Physicalist Theories: Why process philosophy and organismic biology are converging1:19:20 – Consciousness Below the Brain: Cells, Organisms & Evolution: Why mind may extend deep into life itself1:23:30 – Closing Reflections: Toward an Expanded Science of Mind: What replacing physicalism actually means for humanityEPISODE LINKS:- Ed's Website: https://med.virginia.edu/perceptual-studies/dops-staff/ed-kelly/- Ed's Publications: https://scholar.google.com/citations?user=q42C6BwAAAAJ&hl=en- Ed's Books: https://www.amazon.com/stores/author/B001IU2STWCONNECT:- Website: https://mindbodysolution.org - YouTube: https://youtube.com/@MindBodySolution- Podcast: https://creators.spotify.com/pod/show/mindbodysolution- Twitter: https://twitter.com/drtevinnaidu- Facebook: https://facebook.com/drtevinnaidu - Instagram: https://instagram.com/drtevinnaidu- LinkedIn: https://linkedin.com/in/drtevinnaidu- Website: https://tevinnaidu.com=============================Disclaimer: The information provided on this channel is for educational purposes only. Dr. H sits down with Jade Miller, a peer support specialist and advocate for public education about DID (Dissociative Identity Disorder). In the first part of this episode, Jade shares her story and how she came to understand that the puzzling gaps and often frightening incongruities in her life were caused by her rotating through a number of dissociated identities or alters, initially protecting her… but eventually leaving her powerless to stop repeated traumatization.  Jade and Dr. H then talk shop about DID and Jade challenges some of Dr. H's long held beliefs.Jade Millerhttps://payhip.com/peersupportformultiplesSupport the show! https://www.buzzsprout.com/396871/support"I Love You, I Hate You, Are You My Mom?"  An intensive experiential workshop exploring transference with Dr. H and Dr. Hillary McBride, Feb 4th-6th 2026 in Joshua Tree, CA https://www.craigheacockmd.com/i-love-you-i-hate-you-are-you-my-mom/BFTA episode recommendations/Podcast pagehttps://www.craigheacockmd.com/podcast-page/Support the show
