Join us this week as we welcome the rock band, Eleven Dollar Bills. The band is fearlessly led by the street-smart lion-hearted Jordan Casty. Jordan was born and raised in the concrete jungle of Chicago and his influence came straight up through the cracks in the streets. After playing and singing bluesy Rock n Roll through his high school years, Jordan ventured off to Boston to study guitar, vocals, and songwriting at Berklee College of Music. While in attendance at Berklee, Jordan fell in love with the lyrical style of Bob Dylan and put together a blues rock outfit with the name Eleven Dollar Bills as an homage to one of Dylan's lyrics. Upon graduating, The Bills set out on a tour of the USA they dubbed The Heroes' Journey. They hit iconic stages in Los Angeles and New York. They played dives in Texas and college campuses in Indiana. On return to to Chicago they they had a legendary moment where they were heard on NPR’s “Here & Now” and Local Loop Chicago called them “a rising star of the music scene.” There was nothing though that could stop them from the call of LA. Upon their arrival there they quickly got to work playing venues from Viper Room on the Sunset Strip, to The Craftsman in Santa Monica, to Sayers' in Hollywood. Along their journey, they caught the attention of platinum-selling producer Jim Huff. 6 months of studio life later, they now have a brand new EP full of killer sonic experiences to unleash on the ears of the world. Join us this week as we welcome Country music recording artist and United States Navy Veteran, Steve Robinson. Hailing from North Carolina, music first became a serious passion when at the age of 10 his grandfather had his guitar restrung and when he heard the way it sounded, he knew he wanted to play seriously. The Eagles “Hotel California” was the first song he learned to actually play. After completing High School at the age of 16, he then obtained early admission to the Navy via the Delayed Entry Program. Spending two years serving his country (and even some time in Iraq), Steve was proud to serve his country, but the thought of music as a career kept coming back to him. After the Navy he returned to North Carolina where he took various industrial jobs to earn his living. Between Welding, Electrical, and Farming, he became a jack of all trades. Often his work would take him on the road, but not matter where he was, he would always play music. Steve tried to record his songs a couple of times locally, but nothing seemed to be just right. He knew he needed to make a life changing move to truly take a shot at music. After meeting his manager, Steve made the move to Los Angeles where he currently resides and is is recording with Mark McKee, a new young, talented producer and songwriter. He relates “This move across the country was hard, but I knew it was the right thing to do. I will do whatever it to follow my dreams and give music a real shot.” We will talk to Steve about his upcoming schedule, get a behind the scenes look at his music, feature his latest songs, and ask him to share his message for the troops. Join us this week as we welcome pop funk music singer songwriter, Devon. It seems like everyone nowadays is afraid to love - the ones closest to you can hurt you the most. I wrote this song when I realized that some people are worth it. It is worth it to love and to be loved, to be vulnerable, to let someone mean something to you, even if it breaks your heart.” In describing her musical sound she says "My sound could be described as pop-funk, but why stop at that? Join us this week as we welcome Country music singer songwriter, Lockwood Barr. From the moment she steps into the spotlight and begins picking her banjo - her dad’s 1972 Gibson Mastertone, to be exact - it’s undeniable that being on stage is where Lockwood Barr feels most at home. The Tiburon, California native credits her successes thus far, which include Country Music Association emerging artist recognition and winning an Independent Country Music Association Award as banjo player for bluegrass group The Nashvegas Ramblers, to fearless pursuit of her passions. That, and her incredibly tight-knit musical family. Hard at work on a new full-length album set to release in summer of 2016, Barr is currently in the studio working with producer Matt Odmark of the Grammy award-winning Christian rock band Jars of Clay. Showcasing both Barr’s eclectic writing style and technical ability as an instrumentalist, this forthcoming album includes everything from infectious bluesy tracks (“Starve You Outta My Heart”) and heartfelt country ballads (“Forgotten How to Cry”) to folk-influenced melodies (“Indian Summer”) and upbeat love songs (“Can’t Help Lovin’ You”). Behind Lockwood’s refreshingly whimsical vocals is, of course, a hearty dose of her signature banjo work. “In each of my songs is a story and I’m here to share my stories with the world,” she says. We will talk to Lockwood about her upcoming schedule, get a behind the scenes look at her music, feature her latest songs, and ask her to share her message for the troops. Please be sure to visit Lockwood Barr at https://lockwoodbarr.com/ and spread the word. Fans are welcome to call in and speak live with Lockwood during the show (718) 766-4193. Our message to the troops: WE do what we do, because YOU do what you do.

Join us this week as we celebrate our 7th year anniversary and welcome Indie Pop singer songwriter, Chelsea Lankes. Chelsea isn't trying to be something she's not. In a world filled with musical gimmicks and clichés, the LA-based singer is more concerned with showing her authenticity, than hiding behind a persona. Born into a musical household in Texas (her mom was a singer), Lankes was always keen to entertain. Still, it wasn’t till she was majoring in her senior year at college that her hobby matured into her picking up the guitar and writing her own songs. In late 2013 Lankes released her single “Ghost” that went on to catch the attention of many listeners. That track alone has racked up over half a million plays since. As a result, she's began working with B3SCI Records and soon released her next musical creation, a vinyl featuring one original track, "Down For Whatever," and a Mötley Crüe cover "Too Young to Fall in Love". Very recently Chelsea released her new self titled EP which is available at digital outlets now. Also she just released her music video for her song "Bullet" which is from her new EP album. We will talk to Chelsea about her upcoming schedule, get a behind their scenes look at her music, feature her latest songs, and ask her to share her message for the troops. Please be sure to visit Chelsea Lankes at http://www.chelsealankes.com/ and spread the word. Fans are welcome to call in and speak live with her during the show (718) 766-4193.
