Amazing AI Plc (AQSE:AAI) CEO and founder Paul Mathieson talked with Proactive's Stephen Gunnion about the company's unique approach to digital asset investment and its dual business model rooted in US consumer lending. Mathieson explained that Amazing AI continues to operate a licensed lending business across six US states. The company has expanded its model by launching a digital asset treasury strategy that uses advanced options trading. Rather than directly purchasing Bitcoin, the company uses call and put options to gain leveraged exposure—up to 100 times—to a basket of digital assets including Ethereum, XRP, Solana and potentially gold-linked and AI-based tokens like Tal. “We're not just reliant on the performance of Bitcoin. We have a strategy that makes money if it goes down or up,” Mathieson said. He described Amazing AI's strategy as “Treasury 3.0”, which focuses on diversification and institutional-level trading mechanics, contrasting with other companies that simply buy and hold crypto. The company is also looking to acquire undervalued treasury businesses that can no longer meet new stock exchange rules, integrating those assets into its balanced model of lending and digital asset trading. Mathieson added that Amazing AI would deploy capital over the next two months using a dollar-cost averaging approach to take advantage of current market conditions. AAI announces that, via its 100% owned Mauritius subsidiary Amazing AI Services Ltd, it has made its initial, small and non-material purchase of digital assets within its Digital Asset Treasury as part of a strategic implementation test. Amazing AI plc (AQSE: AAI) has taken its first step into digital assets, confirming that its subsidiary Amazing AI Services Ltd has established a Digital Asset Treasury with an initial Bitcoin acquisition valued in the low four-figure USD range. The company said it will use a dollar-cost averaging strategy to build its position and plans to expand its holdings to include Ethereum, XRP, and Solana before the end of December 2025. Amazing AI is also exploring the addition of a fifth digital asset, potentially gold-backed, as part of a broader diversification strategy. Management said the company intends to increase its overall exposure to digital assets through selective acquisitions while continuing to prioritise its core artificial intelligence operations. Dat blijkt niet alleen uit de prijzen, maar vooral uit de onderliggende infrastructuur en het gebruik ervan. In het rapport valt op dat stablecoins inmiddels een serieuze rol spelen in het mondiale betalingsverkeer. De waarde van transacties met stablecoins is voor het eerst groter dan die van traditionele betaalnetwerken als PayPal. Daarmee laat de sector zien dat het niet langer alleen gaat om speculatie, maar ook om daadwerkelijk gebruik. A16Z benadrukt daarnaast dat institutionele beleggers de markt steeds meer omarmen. Grote vermogensbeheerders gebruiken publieke blockchains om fondsen te tokeniseren of als onderdeel van handelsprocessen. Dat maakt de scheidslijn tussen de traditionele financiële wereld en de cryptosector steeds dunner. Ook het gebruik van publieke blockchaininfrastructuur groeit hard. Duizenden bedrijven bouwen nieuwe toepassingen op netwerken als Ethereum, Base en Solana, waarbij de nadruk ligt op schaalbaarheid en efficiëntie. Toch is Andreessen Horowitz geen neutrale partij.
