Proactive's Tylah Tully breaks down ‘Just the Facts' of the latest news from Corazon Mining Ltd (ASX:CZN, OTC:CRZNF). It has identified multiple geophysical conductors at its MacBride Project in Manitoba, Canada, and initial exploration indicates potential for a significant standalone project within the Lynn Lake district. The MacBride Project is near Corazon's Lynn Lake Project, which holds a JORC nickel-copper-cobalt resource. Mining in the area dates back to the 1940s, with a history of magmatic nickel sulphide, VMS deposits, and orogenic gold. Corazon used data from a 2008 aerial VTEM survey, identifying nine high-priority electromagnetic targets along a seven-kilometre horizon. One of these targets aligns with the MacBride zinc-copper-gold-silver deposit, while the others, which are yet to be drilled, are near-surface and comparable in size. These targets are a priority for further exploration, with ground EM surveys planned to refine and confirm drill sites. Corazon also intends to finalise the acquisition of the MacBride Project and two other areas by paying C$153,600 before December 2024. #ProactiveInvestors #CorazonMining #ASX #JusttheFacts #MacBrideProject #GeophysicalSurvey #Exploration #LynnLake #MiningCanada #VTEMSurvey #EMConductors #ZincCopperGold #PreciousMetals #MiningNews #ResourceExploration #CanadaMining #DrillTargets #NickelCobalt #VMSDeposits #GroundEM #MiningUpdates #BaseMetals #ExplorationNews #invest #investing #investment #investor #stockmarket #stocks #stock #stockmarketnews

Kathryn speaks to Scottish author Stuart McBride, author of A Place of Darkness, about why he cares about his characters, what makes a good killer and what's truly scared him.
Corazon Mining Ltd (ASX:CZN) managing director Brett Smith joins Jonathan Jackson in the Proactive studio to discuss an agreement to expand its landholding in Manitoba, Canada, by acquiring three drill-defined zinc-copper-gold deposits near its flagship Lynn Lake nickel-copper-cobalt sulphide project. This strategic acquisition increases Corazon's portfolio within the Lynn Lake region to seven zinc-copper-gold deposits and enhances the potential for Lynn Lake to become a regional polymetallic processing hub, focusing on critical minerals like zinc and copper. The MacBride deposit, the highlight of this acquisition, features significant historically published metal endowment with continuity from the surface to approximately 300 metres. Drilling results include 10.7 metres at 9.98% zinc and 0.56% copper from 32.9 metres and 4.9 metres at 9.86% zinc and 0.20% copper from 119.8 metres. The Wellmet Prospect shows numerous surface copper occurrences and electromagnetic conductors. Notable drill results include 4.2 metres at 6.20% zinc and 0.91% copper from 36.1 metres. The Barrington Prospect has shown copper mineralisation in sparse exploration drilling. Corazon's strategy includes potentially restarting mining at Lynn Lake with a focus on low operational costs and leveraging high-grade zinc-copper deposits. Historical mining in the Lynn Lake region dates back to the 1940s, focusing on nickel sulphide, volcanogenic zinc-copper-gold massive sulphide and orogenic gold. Corazon will acquire the mineral tenure for C$153,600 (~A$168,000) with the vendor, PC Dunlop, retaining a 2% net smelter royalty. Corazon retains the right to purchase up to 1% of this royalty. Initial due diligence of the project areas has been completed.

Angela shares her story as a former Weight Watcher who was yo-yoing up and down the scale to a person who has steadily dropped 35 pounds in a way that feels sustainable long-term, because no foods are off limits. Topics discussed: Why Angela joined the Unstuffed program in January 2021 and why she returned for more 1:1 support a year later Angela shares her biggest challenges before and during the program and how the customized guidance and support was exactly what she needed (when historically she would have quit when things felt hard). This is Stephen Schmidt from the Gazette Digital News Desk, and I'm here with your update for Tuesday, July 4.According to the National Weather Service, your Independence Day will be sunny and quite warm. It is predicted to be 94 degrees in the Cedar Rapids area. A chance of rain will return in the early morning hours on Wednesday.Five people were injured in a boat explosion on Lake Rathbun in Appanoose County Sunday, according to a news release from the Iowa Department of Natural Resources. One woman was evacuated by helicopter to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics for moderate to severe burns. One adult male and three juveniles were taken by ambulance to Mercy One in Centerville for minor burns. The boat exploded — likely because of a mechanical malfunction — during engine startup on the Buck Creek Arm of Lake Rathbun at approximately 3 p.m. Sunday, the news release stated. If your holiday plans include a dip in a nearby lake, here is some good news: Most of Iowa's state park beaches this week have water quality within safe standards for swimming. The Iowa Department of Natural Resources collects water samples each week at state park beaches and tests the water for E. coli bacteria and toxins from harmful algae — both of which can harm swimmers. The agency posts notices advising against swimming on weeks when levels exceed state standards, but many people do not see or heed the warnings.Last week's tests showed 31 of the beaches tested within safe levels for swimming. This includes Backbone, Macbride, near Solon, and Pleasant Creek, near Palo.At eight state park beaches, swimming is not advised because of high levels of either E. coli or algal toxins. Two state park beaches — Lake Geode and Lake Ahquabi — are closed this summer for renovations so the water isn t being tested there. The E. coli at Iowa beaches likely comes from feces from wildlife and manure runoff from farm fields. These bacteria levels often spike after a heavy rain. Accidentally ingesting contaminated water can cause diarrhea, cramps, nausea, headaches or other symptoms. The lake at Terry Trueblood Park in Iowa City, while not at one of Iowa's state parks, remains is closed to swimming because of E. coli.

Join us to learn about all things Clivette and how/why MacBride found himself writing a whole book about him. More on Michael Originally from Michigan, Michael MacBride now calls Minnesota home. Michael received his PhD in 19th century American and 18th century British Literature, but his true focus was 1870-1930. He studied Mark Twain and the period of American history from 1780-1930, and sought out the odd and unusual moments of history. Michael began his college career as an art student, then art history major and has continued to have a love for art and artists. For fun, Michael reads newspapers from 100 years ago--a habit he began in 2017 (which is how he initially became aware of Clivette). Michael taught English, Literature, and Humanities courses at universities and colleges in Minnesota, New Hampshire, Ohio, and Illinois, but also held a number of odd jobs. He has delivered newspapers, worked for UPS, delivered pizzas, did collections at a bank, was a roadie for a country band, and was a grant-writer and funder-researcher for non-profits. Regardless of what he was doing and when, the two consistent things in his life have been: writing and his intense curiosity. STUART MACBRIDE chats to Paul Burke about his latest chilling thriller NO LESS THE DEVIL, protagonists and antagonists, NO LESS THE DEVIL : 'We are each our own devil, and we make this world our hell.'It's been seventeen months since the Bloodsmith butchered his first victim and Operation Maypole is still no nearer to catching him. The media is whipping up a storm, the top brass are demanding results, but the investigation is sinking fast. Now isn't the time to get distracted with other cases, but Detective Sergeant Lucy McVeigh doesn't have much choice. When Benedict Strachan was just eleven, he hunted down and killed a homeless man. No one's ever figured out why Benedict did it, but now, after sixteen years, he's back on the streets again - battered, frightened, convinced a shadowy 'They' are out to get him, and begging Lucy for help.It sounds like paranoia, but what if he's right? What if he really is caught up in something bigger and darker than Lucy's ever dealt with before? What if the Bloodsmith isn't the only monster out there? And what's going to happen when Lucy goes after them?STUART MACBRIDE is the Sunday Times No.1 bestselling author of the Logan McRae and Ash Henderson novels. He's also published standalones, novellas, and short stories, as well as a slightly twisted children's picture book for slightly twisted children.Stuart lives in the northeast of Scotland with his wife Fiona, cats Gherkin, Onion and Beetroot, some hens, some horses, and an impressive collection of assorted weeds. For more information visit:StuartMacBride.comFacebook.com/stuartmacbridebooks@StuartMacBrideRECOMMENDATIONSAllan Guthrie Everyone in My Family has Killed Someone - Benjamin StevensonProduced by Junkyard DogMusic courtesy of Southgate and LeighCrime TimePaul Burke writes for Crime Time, Crime Fiction Lover and the European Literature Network. Stuart MacBride was born in Dumbarton and raised in Aberdeen; abandoning his studies to become an architect, he went to work on the oil rigs, scrubbing toilets. He then tried out careers as an actor, a web designer, and a computer programmer, all the while writing away after work – he wrote four novels before his first, Cold Granite, was published in 2005. Since then, he's become one of our most successful and prolific crime writers, with twenty-four titles in all, sometimes labelled as “tartan noir”. His latest, about the hunt for a serial killer, is called No Less the Devil. Reviewers say things like “this isn't a novel to read over dinner”, or “slick, gruesome and brutally intelligent.” Gruesome crime-writing apart, Stuart MacBride's other notable achievements include winning Celebrity Mastermind (his subject was A.A. Milne) and coming first in the World Stovies Championship. In conversation with Michael Berkeley, Stuart MacBride reveals how his “very dull” childhood developed his imagination as a writer, and how he first discovered crime fiction in the Aberdeen public library. He went to the library every day, read under the covers at night, and borrowed new books the following morning, moving on from the Hardy Boys to Dashiell Hammett. For Stuart MacBride, music is essential; he listens continually when he works, and his latest novel was written entirely to the soundtrack of Wagner's Ring. Alongside Wagner, choices include Beethoven, Purcell, Bruch and Holst. He also introduces music by the Australian composer Sean O'Boyle, a concerto for didgeridoo, which he loves because it's so dark. Produced by Elizabeth Burke A Loftus Media production for BBC Radio 3

“I'm a classic case of reinvention in the middle of life,” says Elizabeth MacBride, founder of the Times of Entrepreneurship (https://timesofe.com/), a website that reports on entrepreneurship, and co-author with Seth Levine of the new book, “The New Builders: Face to Face with the True Future of Business” (https://amzn.to/3g50weh). “Seven years ago I went through divorce that left me without a job….I had seven thousand dollars in my bank account. The mortgage was $2500 dollars and my only career was as a part time writer.” MacBride, however, noticed a hole in the market at the intersection of finance and entrepreneurship and wondered why no journalist was covering it. “[The website] worked because it's business and finance,” she says. “It was the only area that paid writers at all….I was willing to combine the storytelling with finance.” MacBride speaks with CoveyClub founder, Lesley Jane Seymour, about how to ask for employment help from friends and associates and how to really know your value. The only problem with the hoax? The scheme to trick Blane and MacBride into investigating a fake murder ends up producing a real-life, real-dead corpse. In the long history of Irish electoral upsets, General Election 2020 will certainly feature, but could anything match the story of Clann na Poblachta? Created by Séan MacBride, a former Chief of Staff of the IRA and later founder of Amnesty International, the party took ten seats in the chaotic 1948 General Election, coming to hold the balance of power and to topple what many people thought would never fall - Fianna Fáil. What would emerge, the state’s first inter-party government, was a volatile experiment - so what are the lessons to be learned today in the story of Clann na Poblachta, who were subsequently wiped out electorally and who never returned to government? Donal Fallon spoke to Gavan about this important moment in Irish political history.

Stuart MacBride pretty much hasn't had a day off for 16 years. Every chance he gets he'll find a little space and place to write in. It's made him a very successful crime author. His newest novel is 'All That's Dead', in which Logan McRae returns to work after some time away, and is immediately thrown into the deepest, darkest part of the crime world. We chat about why Stuart switches up his writing style - recently his need to keep things fresh saw him draft novels as TV screenplays. We also hear about where he gets his relentless work ethic from and how that's impacted his storytelling, and why he's always having discussions and arguments with himself about where the story should go next. And, if you're a fan of the depressing state of world politics at the moment, you may enjoy the story of how Stuart got the idea for his most recent story.@writerspodwritersroutine.com See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
This week, we're talking about plots. Not plots against Theresa May (for once) but the seven basic plots of politics as identified by former Gordon Brown staffer Damian Macbride. What are the plots, who is associated with each plot, and what does that tell us about politics? Paolo Mancosu (UC Berkeley) gives a talk at the MCMP Colloquium (8 May, 2014) titled "In Good Company? On Hume's Principle and the assignment of numbers to infinite concepts.". Abstract: In a recent article (Review of Symbolic Logic 2009), I have explored the historical, mathematical, and philosophical issues related to the new theory of numerosities. The theory of numerosities provides a context in which to assign numerosities to infinite sets of natural numbers in such a way as to preserve the part-whole principle, namely if a set A is properly included in B then the numerosity of A is strictly less than the numerosity of B. Numerosities assignments differ from the standard assignment of size provided by Cantor’s cardinality assignments. In this talk, I generalize some specific worries emerging from the theory of numerosities to a line of thought resulting in what I call a ‘good company’ objection to Hume’s principle. The talk has four main parts. The first takes a historical look at nineteenth-century attributions of equality of numbers in terms of one-one correlations and argues that there was no agreement as to how to extend such determinations to infinite sets of objects. This leads to the second part where I show that there are countably infinite many abstraction principles that are ‘good’, in the sense that they share the same virtues of HP and from which we can derive the axioms of second order arithmetic. The third part connects this material to a debate on Finite Hume Principle between Heck and MacBride and states the ‘good company’ objection. Finally, the last part gives a tentative taxonomy of possible neo-logicist responses to the ‘good company’ objection and makes a foray into the relevance of this material for the issue of cross-sortal identifications for abstractions.

The latest episode of the podcast is something special and I am so glad that I can share it with all of you. This is the first time that my personal blog/podcast has overlapped with my work and I am delighted to be able to share the Yarn in Ireland panel recorded live on stage at Woollinn on the show. Woollinn is Dublin's Festival of Yarn and it was held on May 25th and 26th 2018 in the ALSAA complex right beside Dublin Airport. This is evident in the recording as you can hear the odd plane flying low overhead. This is the first time we have had a festival of this kind in Dublin and the first time (to my knowledge) that a panel has been formed of independent professionals to speak on the current state of yarn in Ireland today. We wanted to celebrate how rich in talent we are here in Ireland and if anything, I think we can all agree that this panel was too short and I promise, I am already working on making this topic more widely available.

Introduction Morgan and Diana introduce themselves to listeners before quickly launching into the news segment. News A proposed bill in California will make it difficult for cannabis businesses to advertise, and the vague wording could make for major complications. A Montana farmer isn’t allowed to irrigate her hemp crops, due to conflicting regulations. On a positive note, Women.Weed.Wifi is an art collective that is making waves in the industry. Back to negative, Sessions wants to re-boot the old version of D.A.R.E., which leads into the Blunt Talk segment. Blunt Talk Why would Sessions want to reboot the unsuccessful version of D.A.R.E.? Morgan and Diana discuss why the fear-based program did more harm than good, and go over some of the more ridiculous elements, like the “Just Say No” board game. Morgan shares her own experience with discussing medical cannabis use with her child, prompting a conversation about the way critics conflate the plant with dangerous drugs. Interview Spotlight Diana interviews Katie MacBride, writer and editor, about her article in Rolling Stone covering the possible merits of using cannabis to treat addiction. They discuss what MacBride uncovered in her research, and what was most surprising to find out in the process. Christopher Menzel (Texas A&M University) gives a talk at the MCMP Colloquium (18 June, 2014) titled "Haecceities and Mathematical Structuralism". Abstract: It is well-known that some earlier versions of mathematical structuralism (notably from Resnik and Shapiro) appeared to be committed to a rather strong form of the Identity of Indiscernibles (II) that is falsified by the existence of structures like the complex field that admit of non-trivial automorphisms, or symmetries. In light of more recent work (notably, by MacBride, Ketland, Shapiro, Ladyman, and Leitgeb and Ladyman), it is widely accepted that the mathematical structuralist is not committed to II and that, in fact, the principle can be rejected outright on robustly structuralist grounds. I accept a qualified form of this view but I don't think the issue is as cut and dried as it might appear. In a 2007 Analysis article, José Bermúdez suggests that a strong version of II is still in play for the structuralist that can meet the challenge of non-trivial symmetries. The key to the proposal (as I will interpret it) lies in allowing identity properties, or haecceities, like being identical to c (for an arbitrary complex number c, say) to count as structural properties. Typically, structuralists dismiss such properties as obviously non-structural. I will argue to the contrary that haecceities can be viewed as properly structural and, in some circumstances, can serve as legitimate properties for discerning otherwise indiscernible “positions” in structures. Drawing on the model theoretic concept of an expansion, I base my argument on a notion of discernibility rooted intuitively in “underlying structure”. This notion turns out to be equivalent to a notion of discernibility identified in some previous studies but proves useful in focusing when haecceities can legitimately be invoked and why Bermúdez's proposed version of II falls short of a fully satisfactory structuralist principle.
Maureen Donnelly (SUNY at Buffalo) gives a talk for the Metaphysics of Relations Conference, held on 3rd-5th October 2012 in University of London. In some relational claims- e.g., 'Abelard loves Eloise'-the order of the individual terms determines what relational fact is posited in the claim. In other relational claims- 'Abelard is next to Eloise' the order of the terms seems irrelevant to the underlying relational fact. Whereas there seems to be only one possible fact involving Abelard and Eloise in the relation at issue in the latter claim, there seem to be two possible relational facts involving Abelard and Eloise in the relation at issue in the former claim. I assume that there must be some difference among relations which explains why (and how) some, but not all, relations may return distinct relational facts when combined with fixed relata. I take positionalism to be the view that each argument place of a relational predicate is associated with a particular position or role. On this view, the argument place occupied by a term in a relational claim determines what role its referent plays in the corresponding relational fact. A relation R may generate distinct relational facts involving the same relata if fixed objects may play different roles in R-facts. In this paper, I develop a version of positionalism which assumes that certain properties and relations are instantiated only relative a particular object. I show how object-relative properties can explain differences in relational facts involving the same relata and answer objections to positionalism raised by Fine and MacBride.
Ultimately, when Rose died — it was in 1968, she was 81 — Roger MacBride inherited everything she owned, including the fabulously valuable rights to the Little House books ostensibly written by her mother... It was Roger MacBride who put the Little House stories on network TV for most of the 1970s and the early 1980s as well. It was also Roger MacBride who put the fledgling Libertarian Party on the political map in 1972 and represented it as its presidential nominee in the 1976 campaign against Gerald Ford and Jimmy Carter. In later years, MacBride abandoned the LP and went back to the Republican Party, within which he founded a libertarian organization, the Republican Liberty Caucus.
