He and his father were protected by the DOJ, FBI, IRS, State Department and CIA while selling Joe's influence to China, Ukraine, Russia etc. In an amusing twist, the president explained away all his lies to the American people by lying about his lying: “For my entire career I have followed a simple principle: just tell the American people the truth.” Todd Starnes: Biden's DOJ ordered a 75-year-old, pro-life Catholic grandmother to report to prison before Thanksgiving because she prayed outside an abortion clinic. Paulette Harlow was ordered to serve a two-year prison sentence. Meanwhile, President Biden pardoned his son Hunter for crimes he committed or may have committed going back 10 years. Foto1 El 25 de agosto de 1989, el periodista Samuel Rosemblum publicó un artículo en el diario israelí "Hadashot" 1, en el que informaba de la existencia de una finca privada, situada en una zona arbolada próxima a Valencia, que serviría de campo de entrenamiento a mercenarios contratados por narcotraficantes colombianos. Se produjeron desmentidos oficiales. Los servicios de seguridad y el Ministerio del interior negaron saber nada del tema, sugiriendo que quizás se tratara de la Valencia venezolana, pero la revista Interviú, en su número del 8 de septiembre de 1989, afirmaba que había localizado una finca en el municipio de Paterna que se había abandonado cuatro meses atrás, pero en la que todavía se observaban vestigios de una "pista americana", megáfonos para recibir instrucciones, tiendas de campaña, roderas de vehículos todoterreno, cajas vacías de municiones e impactos de bala de gran calibre. Según Interviú, era una finca del Conde de Trénor, donde los mercenarios se preparaban bajo el pretexto de formación de personal con destino a empresas de seguridad españolas e israelíes. 2 1 El diario Hadashot, fundado por Amos Schoken el 4 de marzo de 1984, tuvo que cerrar poco después. 2 En 1989 la policía comenzó a investigar a empresas de seguridad con personal procedente del ejército o de los servicios secretos israelíes. Entre las empresas con personal israelí de la época se encontraban Mydas, de Mauricio Hatchwell y H Seguridad e ICTS, de Jacques Hachuel, que por entonces se ocupaba de la selección y entrenamiento del personal de seguridad del presidente de Banesto, Mario Conde. Hachuel estuvo implicado en el affaire Banesto junto a Marc Rich, el dueño del fuel oil del Prestige, amigo de Enrique Múgica y Javier Corcuera, y asociado con Luis Gómez-Acebo, casado con Pilar de Borbón, la hermana mayor del Rey Juan Carlos I. Sionista relacionado con el Mossad, buscado por el FBI y acusado por la fiscalía de Nueva York de una lista interminable de delitos financieros, Rich fue indultado por el presidente Bill Clinton a petición del ex presidente de Israel Simón Peres; el primer ministro Ehud Barak; los alcaldes de Zurich y Jerusalén, el vicepresidente de la CEOE, Fernando Fernández Tapias; el premio Nobel de Literatura, Camilo José Cela y el propio Rey Juan Carlos de Borbón y Borbón. Los destinados a la América hispana que no hablaran español se trasladaban a Paterna para terminar su entrenamiento con dos meses más de prácticas y, finalmente, se incorporaban a las milicias privadas de los capos colombianos dedicados al tráfico de cocaína. Al noroeste de Valencia, siguiendo la carretera de Liria y atravesando la urbanización El Plantío y la zona de La Cañada, se encuentran las fincas de Vélez, Martinot y Mandor, cuyo propietario por aquellas fechas, según Interviú, era el conde de Trenor, Juan Antonio Gómez Trénor y Trénor. La finca Vélez, de más de quinientas hectáreas arboladas, con riachuelos, zonas escarpadas y una pequeña laguna en su zona central, se hallaba rodeada por una doble cerca de alambre de espino, y las entradas tenían puertas de hierro forjado. Vecinos del entorno hablaban de que los cazadores furtivos habían visto entrar y salir todo terrenos con las luces apagadas, así como comandos vestidos con trajes de camuflaje. Eran extranjeros, pero en otras ocasiones se habían topado con otros que hablaban en castellano, probablemente españoles y argentinos. Cuando sorprendían a los furtivos, los echaban a punta de pistola. A unos quinientos metros de distancia del complejo se encontraba una especie de fortaleza, situada en un enclave de unos diez mil metros cuadrados rodeado de un doble muro de cuatro metros de altura coronado con alambre de espino y provisto de varias atalayas. Trénor negó poseer ninguna de las fincas citadas en el reportaje: Vélez, Mandor y Martinot. Miguel Tormo, propietario del El Conventet, una finca limítrofe a las citadas en la que estaría enclavada la supuesta fortaleza, también anunció que se querellaría. Según él, los muros, torretas y alambradas se habían instalado para impedir los robos que se venían produciendo continuamente. ….. En Israel existe una censura militar que prohíbe publicar informaciones relacionadas con los servicios secretos y el Ejército sin previa autorización. Teniendo noticia de que el periódico israelí "Hadashot" conocía las actividades del campo de Paterna, se paralizaron las actividades militares en la finca Vélez, se desmanteló la pista de entrenamiento, se retiraron los megáfonos -alguno de los cuales, por estar estropeados, se arrojaron a la laguna- y todo el personal, instructores y mercenarios, abandonaron las instalaciones. El 25 de agosto de 1989, como queda dicho, el diario mencionado hizo pública la información que tenía sobre el campo de entrenamiento español, confirmada por la emisión de un vídeo de la NBC en el que se observaba a militares israelíes instruyendo a los sicarios en hebreo. La televisión israelí consiguió finalmente identificar al individuo que aparecía en el vídeo. Se trataba del coronel Yair Klein, presidente de la empresa Hod Hahanith. Foto 9 Klein, de 46 años, ex comando y ex oficial de paracaidismo, se encontraba en la reserva, dirigiendo un regimiento especializado en instrucción militar, lucha antiterrorista y formación de escoltas. Otros empleados de Hod Hahanith eran los coroneles Moisés Spector, Abraham Tzadaka y Yaacov Biran. La noticia provocó consternación en Israel. El Ministerio de Defensa salió al paso de la información declarando que, aunque Klein y su empresa tenían permiso oficial para operar en Colombia, estaba caducado hace meses. Y que se trataba de una actividad criminal de la que no tenían conocimiento, que era asunto de la policía. Al fin y al cabo, Klein era ya un civil. Según un experto de una empresa de seguridad valenciana que asistió a un campamento israelí situado en las afueras de Tel Aviv, "... Los israelíes no juegan a la guerra: enseñan a matar. La última bala siempre se reserva para el que está en el suelo. Conozco bien sus métodos. Y no me extrañaría que entrenaran a sicarios de los narcos, porque los israelíes adiestran a todo el que pague. Lo demás les da igual." "Si están o no pagados por los narcos, lo ignoro. Lo único que puedo asegurar es que estaban tirando a bocajarro, con chalecos antibalas y placas antitrauma y desde luego utilizaban calibres altos, un 38 al menos, porque el impacto los echaba para atrás." "Todos nuestros entrenadores eran oficiales del Ejército, algunos en activo y otros retirados. Pero, desde luego, todos tenían experiencia en misiones concretas, tanto en Latinoamérica o Beirut como en Sudáfrica. El ejército es el que está detrás del negocio de los entrenamientos en Israel; se anuncian en las revistas y todo es tan natural como en España la oferta turística." Foto 10 Los asesinos a sueldo se acababan incorporando a los ejércitos privados de los narcotraficantes colombianos, que por aquella época asesinaron al candidato de la oposición a la Presidencia del Gobierno, el senador Luis Carlos Galán. Klein fue detenido finalmente en agosto de 2007 en el aeropuerto Domodédovo de Moscú, por agentes del Departamento antiterrorista del Ministerio del Interior ruso y agentes de la Interpol, cuando se disponía a viajar a Israel. En marzo de 2008, el Tribunal de Moscú autorizó su extradición a Colombia, en donde estaba condenado en ausencia a la pena de diez años y ocho meses de prisión, por instrucción, entrenamiento en tácticas, técnicas y procedimientos militares terroristas a mercenarios al servicio de Gonzalo Rodríguez Gacha, Pablo Escobar y los hermanos Fidel y Carlos Castaño. De este último se decía que utilizaba sierras mecánicas para realizar masacres de campesinos. 3 El artículo de Hadeshot, Paterna, la finca Vélez, los campos de entrenamiento, los instructores israelíes, los mercenarios del narcotráfico, las masacres de campesinos colombianos desmembrados con motosierras por los hombres de Carlos Castaño... Con una coincidencia cronológica y geográfica, en la que una de las víctimas es mutilada con una sierra mecánica y uno de sus pies aparece en el interior de un contenedor de basuras en la calle Alcàsser, de Valencia. Canadian junior exploration company Tantalex Lithium Resources, which is developing tin, tantalum and lithium projects in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), is looking to raise capital $15-million early next year for the further development of its lithium assets. Tantalex is developing three projects in the DRC's Manono region, in Tanganyika province, and is intent on ensuring operational cashflow positivity in 2023 to highlight the operational success its 120 people on the ground in Africa ahead of the capital raise. The Canadian Securities Exchange- and the Frankfurt Stock Exchange-listed Tantalex is intent on getting Lubule tin and tantalum project into production as quickly as possible. Its three projects are: the near-term Lubule project that is expected to produce tin and tantalum concentrates in the third-quarter (Q3) or Q4 of this year, and which has already secured an offtake agreement with commodity trading house Trafigura; the Manono lithium, tin and tantalum tailings project, where 105-million tonnes of tailings containing lithium, tin and tantalum have been defined; and the funded pegmatite corridor exploration project into extensive hard-rock lithium potential southwest of the tailings project. AfriMet Resources AG, which has to date invested roughly $16-million in Tantalex, is now, as the biggest shareholder, looking to developing the projects with Tantalex, which has: $3-million from commodity trading platform TradeCloud for the exploration planned in the southwest pegmatite corridor; a $5-million prepay and marketing agreement with concentrate offtaker Trafigura; discussions in progress on the offtake of the lithium it is intent on producing; and a plan to raise $15-million for 5% of its equity in the first quarter of 2023. Generating the early cash flow will be Trafigura's offtake of Lubule's 1 400 t of tin concentrate and 220 t of tantalum concentrate a year. Some 10 000 m of drilling has been done across that the Manono tailings' projects dumps, with a mineral resource estimate (MRS) expected this year and a prefeasibility study (PFS) in Q1 of next year. An additional 2 000 t of that resource has been elevated into the measured category, with the rest in the inferred category. The greenfield exploration project, southwest of the tailings project, has 25 km of strike, where 8 000 m of resource-defining reverse circulation drilling and 9 000 m of diamond drilling is planned, adjacent to the lithium reserve of the Sydney-listed exploration company AVZ Minerals. “We've done the geochem work, we've done the aeromagnetic work, and we're looking to develop the area southwest,” Tantalex Lithium Resources chairperson Hadley Natus told Mining Weekly during a Zoom interview. Natus: In 2016, while I was still ex-Marc Rich, we were looking at the area, mainly around tin and tantalum. We had mapped all the lithium-cesium-tantalum – LCT – pegmatites in the region, and when I got the opportunity 2019, I was looking for a company that held assets in that region. We stumbled across Tantalex Lithium Resources. They had the corporate office in Canada, unfortunately not a big presence in the Congo itself. We have 120 staff in Africa, so we basically joined up with Tantalex because we had, let's say, the on-the-ground knowledge and the expertise and the people, and they had the shell company in Canada. Mining Weekly: What are your production and development plans? Natus: I want to get the Lubule tin and tantalum project into production as quickly as possible. It will get us cashflow positive in 2023 and show the market that we have the knowledge, the know-how, and people on the ground to bring something into production in the DRC. In 1954, a college drop-out took a mail-room job at Philipp Brothers trading firm. For the next 19 years, Marc Rich climbed the ranks, eventually launching his own very successful firm. By 1982 he was worth $200 million. But his dishonest practices caught up with him, and a series of criminal charges landed Rich on the FBI’s Most Wanted List. Clearly, acquiring great wealth doesn’t guarantee a happy life. In today’s passage, the theme of deceit continued, but with a more particular audience. Hosea called out the wealthy Israelite merchants, who would rig their weights in order to cheat their customers. Not only did they work dishonestly, but they loved doing so (v. 7). The act of stealing brought them pleasure. It was comfortable and familiar. But even worse, these immoral merchants boasted that they were above the law. They saw nothing wrong with their actions, and they trusted their fortune to protect them. Notice the prideful boasting of Ephraim: “With all my wealth, they will not find in me any iniquity or sin” (v. 8). This feels like a throw-down to God. But certainly, deception is no match for a God who sees what is done in secret. In the psalms, God says, “No one who practices deceit will dwell in my house; no one who speaks falsely will stand in my presence” (Ps. 101:7). There is a strong contrast between the merchants’ braggadocio (“I am very rich”) and God’s definitive response (“I am the Lord your God”). God knocked them down a peg or two by reminding them from whence they came—out of Egypt, under His direction. His promised punishment, “I will make you live in tents again” (vv. 8–9), feels like an ancient version of “go to your room.” God had been warning them for a very long time. >> Deceit can even creep into how we use our money. Consider what changes God might want to see in your relationship to money and wealth.

S’éloigner du charbon Pour cela, le groupe mise sur la transition écologique. Vendredi dernier, Ivan Glasenberg s’est engagé à ce que Glencore soit neutre en carbone d’ici 2050, et pas seulement dans l’extraction, mais aussi dans l’utilisation, en aval, des matières premières. Cela veut dire que Gary Nagle devra s’éloigner progressivement du charbon dont il dirige la division et qui pèse encore 10% des bénéfices opérationnels du groupe. Pour développer au contraire les métaux de la révolution verte : nickel, cobalt et cuivre, utiles pour les batteries électriques, en augmentant la production au bon moment pour ne pas faire chuter les prix. Gérer les affaires judiciaires Enfin, il sera peut-être plus facile pour Gary Nagle que pour Ivan Glasenberg de négocier avec la justice américaine, qui poursuit Glencore pour corruption au Nigeria, au Venezuela et en République démocratique du Congo. While Rudofsky is aware that the current market conditions mean the odds are stacked against retail investors, a small amount of disposable income can still provide exciting returns, provided said income is not massively important to an individual's financial health. ETFs and similar risk mitigating systems provide opportunities to indulge in mining investment with less overall risk.The blueprint continues with specific parameters: Business Model, Asset, Management, Corporate Structure, Promotion etc. Rudofsky provides some of the educational resources retail investors need to be aware of to stay ahead of the curve. While the odds are stacked against them, there is some information out there that can help level the playing field a little. Rudofsky is honest in that performing due diligence on a company is expensive, but the reality is that the cost of appropriate high-level diligence renders it inaccessible to most retail investors.Rudofsky covers management behavioral red flags: generally, management teams who don't put their money where their mouths are. This includes those who are overpaid and buy an small or negligible amounts of shares. Investors want to see skin in the game. If a management team doesn't have their necks on the line, where is the incentive to make the company perform?
