It's Monday, July 22nd, A.D. 2024. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard at www.TheWorldview.com. I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Nigerian Fulani Muslims killed 12 Christians Tragedy struck in Nigeria on Sunday, July 14th as Fulani Muslim terrorists continued their reign of terror in a Christian community in the Benue State, murdering 12 people and wounding another 11, reports TruthNigeria.com. Andy Itodo, an eyewitness, said, “The terrorists, up to 20 in number, appeared from the forests of Egwuma on motorbikes, wielding automatic rifles, and started shooting indiscriminately. The carnage lasted for over 1 hour and 30 minutes. He added, “The worst part was that we were in our churches when the terrorists attacked us. We were not prepared.” Gideon Ehoda, another eyewitness, said, “They showed no mercy as they gunned down seven of our youths before they retreated to the bush.” Mary Otache, a 36-year-old eyewitness, said, “Even as they were shooting into the churches and people were running away, they were chanting Allahu Akbar and speaking in Fulani.” Augustus Adaji, age 28, said, “When they thought they had gotten the upper hand, we shot at them, and I know that I personally hit two of the terrorists. My colleagues shot many. Initially, they tried to resist us, but they broke up, and some fled on foot, leaving their bikes and guns.” Please pray that Amos 5:24 would come true in Nigeria. “Let justice roll down like waters, and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream.” According to Open Doors, Nigeria is the sixth most dangerous country worldwide in which to live for Christians. Biden withdraws and endorses Kamala Harris After nearly 31 House Democrats and five Democratic senators publicly called on President Joe Biden to withdraw from the presidential race, he withdrew on Sunday. In an open letter addressed to “My Fellow Americans,” he wrote, “While it has been my intention to seek re-election, I believe it is in the best interest of the party and my country to stand down and to focus solely on fulfilling my duties as President for the remainder of my term.” In a subsequent post, President Biden wrote, “Today I want to offer my full support and endorsement for Kamala [Harris] to be the nominee of our party this year. Democrats — it's time to come together and beat Trump. Let's do this.” Democrat senator cried over Biden's withdrawal Appearing on CBS News, Democratic Senator Chris Coons of Delaware – the co-chair of the Biden for President campaign, cried about Biden's withdrawal from the presidential race. COONS: “Joe Biden is grounded. He's grounded in his faith, in his family, and in our state. (Coons gets choked up and pauses) Excuse me. I'm sorry. This was a very difficult decision. And one that I think reflects the very best of who Joe Biden is. Someone who, as you put it Bob, comes home -- comes home because it's where his strength is. His strength is in his family. His strength is in our community. His strength is in his faith.” Democrat elite pushed Biden out Appearing with talk show host Charlie Kirk on Sunday,  "Just The News" founder John Solomon took issue with how the Democrat elite powerbrokers ran roughshod over the 14.5 million Democrat primary voters who selected Joe Biden to be the party's presidential nominee. SOLOMON: “We're back to the days of Tammany Hall. The Democrats no longer regard the 14.5 million people that voted for Joe Biden -- the power brokers, the Barack Obamas and the Nancy Pelosis and Chuck Schumers. They've decided who's going to be their nominee by forcing Joe Biden out. That is not going to play well in a party that often claims that ‘democracy' is being ruined. Well, they may have just contributed to that.” Kamala Harris funded bail for BLM rioters, a failure as Border Czar Solomon responded to the coronation of Vice President Kamala Harris as the replacement presidential nominee, saying she is further left politically than Biden. SOLOMON: “As for Kamala Harris, if she is the ‘Anointed One,' because it saves them $200 million in the bank that they don't have to fundraise, there is a lot of research that the American people need to become familiar with, with Kamala Harris. “What she did in California, the fact that her [Political Action Committee] bailed out [Black Lives Matter] rioters from prison in jail, the fact that she had only one job in the Biden administration to secure the border, and she failed miserably at that. It's going to be very easy to link Kamala Harris to all of the deaths, all of the mayhem, all of the frustration that Americans have with the border because that was her one job that Joe Biden gave her. “And Biden endorsed her today quickly, because he knew that there is not unanimity in the party for her being the nominee. So, he tried to force that unanimity with his endorsement.” Trump campaign released anti-Kamala Harris ad The Trump campaign released this anti-Kamala Harris ad. NARRATOR: “Kamala was in on it. She covered up Joe's obvious mental decline.” HARRIS: “Our president is in good shape, in good health, tireless, vibrant, and I have no doubt about the strength. of the work that we have done.” NARRATOR: “But Kamala knew Joe couldn't do the job. So, she did it. Look what she got done: a border invasion, runaway inflation, the American Dream dead. They created this mess. They know Kamala owns this failed record." Trump: “How did somebody get on that roof?” In their first joint interview, Donald Trump and his VP pick, Senator J.D. Vance of Ohio, talked to FOX News host Jesse Watters about the security breach that led to the assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania. WATERS:  “They were monitoring this guy for an hour beforehand.” TRUMP: “Yeah.” WATTERS: “No one told you not to take the stage?” TRUMP: “No, nobody mentioned it. Nobody said there was a problem. I would have waited for 15 [minutes]. They could have said, ‘Let's wait for 15 minutes, 20 minutes, 5 minutes, something.  I think that was a mistake. “How did somebody get on that roof? And why wasn't he reported? Because people saw that he was on the roof. I mean you had Trumpers screaming, the woman in the red shirt, she was screaming, ‘There's a man on the roof!' And then other people, ‘There's is a man on the roof who's got a gun!' And that was quite a bit before I walked onto the stage. So, you would have thought somebody would have done something about it.” Pro-abort Democrat Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee died  Democrat Representative Sheila Jackson Lee of Texas, has died at the age of 74 after a battle with pancreatic cancer, reports NBC News. Born in Queens, New York, she first won election to Congress from Houston, Texas in 1995.  She was known for her rabid support of abortion. Most recently, Congresswoman Lee: opposed the Born-Alive Infants Protection Act to protect babies who are born alive after a botched abortion. opposed Rep. Chip Roy's amendment that prohibited Department of Defense funding for soldiers to travel to get an abortion. and opposed a resolution that condemned the violent attacks on pro-life groups. The life of the late Congresswoman Lee embodied Isaiah 59:7. It says, “Their feet rush into sin; they are swift to shed innocent blood. They pursue evil schemes; acts of violence mark their ways.” Global computer systems outage caused chaos here in America And finally, services from airlines to healthcare, shipping and finance were coming back online on Friday after a mistake in a security software update sparked hours-long global computer systems outages, reports Reuters. The incident highlighted the vulnerability of the world's interconnected technologies. More than 2,200 flights were canceled across the U.S., with nearly 7,000 delayed, as of 1:23 pm ET on Friday, according to data tracker FlightAware. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 377 points, the S&P 500 lost 39 points, and the Nasdaq Composite lost 144 points. George Kurtz, the founder and CEO of the cybersecurity firm CrowdStrike, explained on NBC's "Today Show" how their company took down millions of computers --including air travel, banks, and more -- around the world with a single faulty software update. KURTZ: “The system was sent an update. That update had a software bug in it and caused an issue with the Microsoft operating system.” Businesses face questions about how to avoid future blackouts triggered by technology meant to safeguard their systems. President Biden today wrote in a letter; My Fellow Americans, Over the past three and a half years, we have made great progress as a Nation. Today, America has the strongest economy in the world. We've made historic investments in rebuilding our Nation, in lowering prescription drug costs for seniors, and in expanding affordable health care to a record number of Americans. We've provided critically needed care to a million veterans exposed to toxic substances. Passed the first gun safety law in 30 years. Appointed the first African American woman to the Supreme Court. And passed the most significant climate legislation in the history of the world. America has never been better positioned to lead than we are today. I know none of this could have been done without you, the American people. Together, we overcame a once in a century pandemic and the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression. We've protected and preserved our Democracy. And we've revitalized and strengthened our alliances around the world. It has been the greatest honor of my life to serve as your President. And while it has been my intention to seek reelection, I believe it is in the best interest of my party and the country for me to stand down and to focus solely on fulfilling my duties as President for the remainder of my term. I will speak to the Nation later this week in more detail about my decision. For now, let me express my deepest gratitude to all those who have worked so hard to see me reelected. I want to thank Vice President Kamala Harris for being an extraordinary partner in all this work. And let me express my heartfelt appreciation to the American people for the faith and trust you have placed in me. I believe today what I always have: that there is nothing America can't do - when we do it together. We just have to remember we are the United States of America. To commemorate the indictment of Donald Trump, Jake searched high and low for a movie involving the arrest of a president. The closest he got was the 1996 film "My Fellow Americans." The screwball conspiracy road comedy stars Jack Lemmon and James Garner as rival ex-presidents, clearly stand-ins for George H.W. Bush and Bill Clinton, who are forced to team up in order to expose a frame job. Along the way they evade murderous NSA agents and meet ordinary Americans. Jake guides us through this mostly forgotten relic of the 90s which somehow combines a hokey, naive vision of American politics with a maximally cynical portrayal of deep state agents shaping history behind the scenes. Originally this episode was supposed to be much different. The friend Odd mentions "Nice Guy" Mike was supposed to join us and we were going to talk about Veganism, Fostering Animals and the state of the world we live in as a result of choices. We were going to call it My Fellow Americans. However, NGM had to pull back last minute due to needing to care for the dog he is currently fostering. All 3 of the boys are back together again and it is a typically crazy and off the rails kind of episode. George H. W. Bush delivered his inaugural address on January 20th, 1989. Before becoming president, Bush Sr. served as Ronald Reagan's vice president. Foreign policy was a major aspect of his term – the final years of the Cold War and the reunification of Germany, the invasion of Panama and the Gulf War, and the negotiation of NAFTA (which was ratified under Clinton). However, to reduce the deficit, he had to renege on one of his promises – no new taxes. With his son, George W. Ronald Reagan delivered his second inaugural address on January 20th, 1985. Reagan won his 2nd term in a landslide election against Walter Mondale. Since his first term, the United States began to move back towards conservatism and this rightward shift continued throughout his 2nd term. When he left office, his ratings were as high as FDRs, despite the numerous scandals that occurred during his presidency. Gerald Ford delivered his remarks upon assuming the office of the president on August 9th, 1974. Read by Susan Swain, author, journalist & co-CEO of C-SPAN. Assuming the presidency after the resignation of Richard Nixon, Ford would go on to serve a partial term of 2 years and 164 days. He would pardon his predecessor, an unpopular move that contributed to his loss against Jimmy Carter. Part of his reasoning: “That purpose was to change our national focus. I wanted to do all I could to shift our attentions from the pursuit of a fallen President to the pursuit of the urgent needs of a rising nation. Our nation is under the severest of challenges now to employ its full energies and efforts in the pursuit of a sound and growing economy at home and a stable and peaceful world around us.” The cover art is a photo of Gerald Ford taken on August 27th, 1974 by David Hume Kennerly. Lyndon B. Johnson delivered his inaugural address on January 20th, 1965. The 60s were a watershed year for the United States, and LBJ – as well as his predecessor, JFK – were intimately involved. From the Civil Rights movement to the Vietnam War, from the assassination of monumental figures in American history, to the moon landings, it was a tumultuous time. Less than a year before his inaugural address, LBJ had signed the Civil Rights Act of 1964 into law. And less than a year after it, he signed the Voting Rights Act of 1965. The Social Security Amendments of 1965 created Medicare and Medicaid, all part of LBJs "Great Society" programs. The cover art is a 1968 portrait of LBJ by Elizabeth Shoumatoff. JFK delivered his inaugural address on January 20th, 1961. The youngest person to be elected president, he had served just a bit over 1,000 days before his assassination. His inaugural remains one of the most studied and is considered, along with FDRs 1st and Lincolns 2nd, to be one of the best. He had set a goal for the United States to go the moon – a goal that was reached under his successor, LBJ, in 1969. Harry Truman delivered his inaugural address on January 20th, 1949. He was locked in a dead heat with Thomas E. Dewey, governor of New York. We made it my fellow Americans. We made it through one year and to the next if we were alive at 12:01 am Friday, January 1, the great year 2021. And what a year 2020 has been, has it not? Unbelievable, many think the world turned upside down. Corona, Covid–19. A worldwide medical disaster. And the end of the Trump era and the beginning of a new political era which may usher in radical changes to this great country we love:            SOCIALISM, something I fear more than anything else politically and I hope you do as well. WE THE PEOPLE are freedom loving, democratic–free, in control of our own lives and creating our own opportunities and a new kind of rule, some think a benign dictatorship may well emerge in the next four years. More than ever, we need to be watchmen and watchwomen on the walls of political freedom, of constitutional America, protecting, preserving and defending all that we have held dear for some 245 years. The fight is on.And so it is time traditionally to look back, think through and evaluate the year past, its value and meaning, think through our personal rights and wrongs and resolve to do different and better 2021. That is always a healthy exercise done right, it clarifies and allows us to prioritize. Done right, it can produce new resolve, courage and willingness to face the enormous challenges of 2021. Do it and profit from it. As you think through your personal balance sheet for 2020, take time to meditate, really ponder over the important things that happened to you, and things you did 2020. And you, a person of faith, should pray about them. Discuss their meaning and full effect on your life before the Lord. Ask for courage and wisdom, not to make the same mistakes in the new year, but to develop new strengths and characteristics which will make you a better person, a better Christian, a better PERSON OF FAITH. Then you can set new priorities. Do remember that life is short, so very short. The wiseman King Sullivan told us bluntly that life is no more than a vapor, here today gone tomorrow. Your life is precious, but fragile. The life we lead now more than ever is unpredictable. Change always came slowly in the world, in America but today, change is overnight and we adapt, and adapt quickly or the world moves past lightening speed. There is a new mentality, a new way of thinking, the cell phone – iPad day and age. Distractions are everywhere. It is hard to think, much less meditate or seriously pray without mental interruptions. We have little time alone, uninterrupted and daily it becomes more difficult to think, meditate and pray. We obey the siren call of a cell phone, we are constantly intrigued by the iPad, we are actualized and interrupted by the demands of the latest app and at the end of the day, there may be little left of us, the heart and soul of a real human being having lived one day. Perhaps a new year resolution would be quiet time (under the tree) all alone with Facebook and friends put aside, for hours, or a whole day. The soul, the heart, the mind needs refreshing and reenergizing this year more than ever. Moving on without being dominated by Big Tech would allow us to grow as human beings more than anything else. More time with God, more time alone with HIM is an absolutely critical resolution. Back to Christian basics, my fellow Americans, more time alone in prayer, thought and meditation. The latest cell phones simply can't reach the heavenly domains. Read the Psalms, the prayers, the wailings of King David. He told us that he and consequently we should seek the Lord God Almighty morning, and then again at noon, and then again at night, a minimum of three quality, real, sincere times every day, EVERY DAY! And, said David, to seek God with all of our hearts, not with simple superficial overt–and–done prayers, but meaningful, qualitative, prayers worthy of the attention of the Creator of the Universe and the father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Pray, says the scripture, without ceasing. NEVER QUIT! If we spent the time we spend in communication on cell phones, communicating with the God of the Universe, our lives would change overnight. Twenty twenty–one would be a year of personal revitalization, priorities born again and personal strength and energy like never before. What a RESOLUTION that would be. Beware of WOKE, spiritually woke. GO BACK TO SLEEP, that is back to the old basic, simple, clear biblical Gospel, the true Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ and the true Gospel which the Apostle Paul begged us, challenged us, demanded of us to know and follow. Beware of false Gospels, watered down, compromised and different. Beware of false teachers and leaders who would lead us the sheep astray. Ignore them, walk away from them and resolve, A MAJOR RESOLUTION to study to show yourself approved unto God, workmen and workwomen who know how to:            RIGHTLY DIVIDE THE WORD OF TRUTH!The more you study the word of God, the more the Holy Spirit of God will interpret, lead and direct YOU.Twenty twenty–one brings more things, many more things anti–Christian. In fact, the world turns against all religions and persecution begins. Violence occurs against people of faith. Intimidation seems everywhere, so that so many are ashamed or afraid to testify. When Christian faith appears in the marketplace, there is ridicule and rejection. And, as the satanic agenda moves forward, truth is replaced by the lie as the post–truth era develops and controls. Where once it was safe and easy to proclaim the Gospel, now to do so comes with dangers. More than ever the God of scripture asks that we who believe not be ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, knowing it is the power of God unto salvation who everyone believes. And to proclaim that truth loud and long, and everywhere. To do so can be dangerous, but what a joy to RESOLVE to never back down, never miss an opportunity to share faith and proudly proclaim that one is servant of Jesus of Nazareth. All on the alter is no longer hypothetical but reality. All means everything you have even your LIFE. RESOLVE to be willing to give that life, your life and like Abraham with Isaac, even the life of a son or daughter of yours. Faith, real faith 2021 will be tested more than ever. And understand clearly, my fellow believers, that there are conditions to prayer, conditions which must occur before God will hear, and listen, and most importantly answer. We the people must RESOLVE to humble ourselves, to pray without ceasing, to seek the face and the will of God, and to turn from any and all wicked and evil ways, RESOLVE to live a life of righteousness. And all four must occur, preconditions to godly answers, before the Lord God Almighty will hear. That is the only way our great country, the America we love will be DIVINELY HEALED. RESOLVE as II Chronicles tells us to humble, pray, seek and turn so that the power of God will go with you all year long 2021. The spiritual fight is on, like never before. There are those radically Atheistic, progressive in every sense, anti–religious and determined to quash and do away with those critical first five freedoms in the First Amendment of our Constitution. There are those at or near ultimate American power who would severely restrict or eliminate religious freedom, the First Freedom, and with it, Freedom of Speech, already curtailed by hate speech legislations, and Freedom of the Press now more than ever represented by Big Tech, by Facebook, Twitter, Google and so many more. Some are gradually eliminated, step by step process, and others occur immediately and aggressively and overnight. Give me those freedoms, all of them including Freedom of Assembly (church worship) and Freedom to Petition, to go into the marketplace, to the government, anywhere and petition, speak and peacefully protest OR:            GIVE ME DEATH,said one of the great thinkers and patriots of the Founding Fathers era. RESOLVE to have the courage of Thomas Paine, Patrick Henry, Benjamin Franklin, George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Alexander Hamilton and so many other great American patriots and fathers. And remember the words of Thomas Jefferson who reminded us the cost of liberty when he warned:THE TREE OF LIBERTY MUST OCCASIONALLY BE REFRESHED BY THE BLOOD OF PATRIOTS!The occasion for that may be upon us and as we fight the fight of faith, there may be the necessity for civil disobedience for there will clash the laws and commands of God on the one hand and of man on the other. We the people of faith will follow the laws of God, not of man, no matter the cost. RESOLVE to be willing to pay that price should the time come. The Church must remain open, the right to assemble and worship sacrosanct. The Church of Jesus Christ must be able to print, to send literature, to be active in social media. The Church and especially its Pastors must be able to speak freely, courageously, without threat or intimidation from government. Pastors now restricted by the Johnson Act from speaking politically from the pulpit must have that freedom. All of us who believe in God must carry the yoke of God only, never of man. The fight for those freedoms is on. You are enlisted like it or not. Be ready to fight, to stand, STAND UP for what you believe no matter the cost. No greater love has a man or a woman than to lay down his life for a friend, for the ultimate friend Jesus Christ. The America in which we live is a house divided, divided like never before. There is little dialogue, and no respect when there are differing opinions. One is right and the other is wrong, dead wrong and ne'er the twain shall meet. America splinters, TRIBALISM reigns. Political or constitutional commonality nowhere exists. There is DANGEROUS DIVERSITY. It is more important to be ethnic than American. There is DISSENTION AND DISAGREEMENT everywhere. There seems to be no real united American effort to make our country better, to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN. Trump or not, that must be our common goal if we are to survive. We must RESOLVE to learn all over again how America was founded, what it was founded upon, what it meant, what it's purpose and objectives were, and to make that the lode star of our lives, becoming once again a thoroughly energized citizenry, recognizing no matter the politicians that:         AMERICA IS EXCEPTIONALand it is a very special, one–of–a–kind human experiment in society formation and freedom building. We are driven as a people by capitalism, the ability to grow, succeed, to identify and create opportunity. To do with our lives as we wish and as we see fit according to our talents and capabilities. We are a free society, not in any way socialistic much less Marxist, but rather DEMOCRATIC. We are a republic, strong, fighting oppression now even in our own country and we should RESOLVE that we will do everything possible to protect, preserve and defend THE AMERICAN DREAM. WE THE PEOPLE are the only ones who can make real American things happen, a real return to patriotic basics, new and energetic commitments to rebuilding THE GREAT AMERICAN SOCIETY. Do it or lose it, DO IT OR LOSE IT! Freedom once lost is lost forever and freedom, as Reagan said, is only one generation away from extinction. DO NOT LET THAT BE OUR GENERATION MY FELLOW AMERICANS WHICH LOSES THE MOST PRECIOUS THING ON EARTH, FREEDOM.What a privilege it is for you and for me to live in this day and age. We are challenged more than ever. The problems America faces are real and serious. They must be dealt with and we must step up. More than ever, we must RESOLVE to educate ourselves, and most importantly educate our children:         TEACH OUR CHILDRENreal history, American history. Teach them about our Constitution. Drill into their heads the First Amendment, require them to give time and effort to America and not simply exploit its assets and possibilities. If not, this may be the generation, the younger generation, Millennials, Gen Z and those coming after which will be responsible for the end of The American Dream and its social experiments. RESOLVE TO NOT LET THAT HAPPEN, MY FELLOW AMERICANS!But through it all, remember that as Christians the Christ of Glory came that our joy, JOY may be full. That we should live life and life abundantly. Even as you meet the challenges that America has, I pray that you my fellow Americans, brothers and sisters in faith, have a joyful and happy life 2021. RESOLVE to do that. May God bless you abundantly and all those you love. GOD IS ON THE THRONE. No matter what happens, always remember that:         GOD IS IN CONTROL,knows all things, and cares, cares deeply for:         YOU AND ME.We the Crawford Broadcasting Company wish you and yours a very happy, joyful and blessed NEW YEAR!

Franklin Delano Roosevelt delivered his 2nd inaugural address on January 20th, 1937 – the new date that all following inaugurals would follow. Read by Jay! Tomlinson, producer of the Best of the Left podcast (https://www.bestoftheleft.com/) . FDRs 1st and 2nd inaugural addresses are host to some of the most memorable lines, including “I see one-third of a nation ill-housed, ill-clad, ill-nourished,” from his 2nd. Whereas dealing with the Great Depression was the most important part of his 1st term, his 2nd would be just as momentous, with war erupting in the Old World. Though the US managed to stay out of it for the duration of the 2nd term, the beginning of his 3rd would see them enter the fray officially. The cover art is an 1932 photo of FDR by Vincenzo Laviosa. Franklin Delano Roosevelt delivered his powerful 1st inaugural address on March 4th, 1933. Read by Cory Doctorow (https://pluralistic.net/). It was the last inauguration to be held on March 4th; the 20th amendment, passed earlier that year, moved Inauguration Day to January 20th. FDR had just won a landslide against Hoover in the presidential election and took the reins at the height of the Great Depression. He led the implementation of the New Deal, which helped lead to a Democratic White House for all but two terms from 1933 until 1969. His storied presidency (totaling four terms) would see him ranked in the top 3 presidents (changing spots here and there with Washington & Lincoln). The cover art is 1947 portrait of FDR by Frank O. Salisbury. Herbert Hoover delivered his inaugural address on March 4th, 1929. Read by Yuvraj Singh. Herbert Hoover's accomplishments prior to presidency were effectively neutralized in public opinion after the Great Depression began on his watch. Though the seeds for such crisis are planted in the prior years, they tend to fall hardest on those that deal with the crisis. It was perhaps the single largest factor in deciding that Hoover would remain in the shadow of his successor. The cover art is an 1956 portrait of Herbert Hoover by Elmer Wesley Greene. Warren G. Harding delivered his inaugural address on March 4th, 1921. Read by Yuvraj Singh. When he was elected, Harding was popular and well regarded. But if even George Washington couldn't leave the presidency as popular as he was when he started it, there was little hope for someone who isn't the Father of his Nation. An extramarital affair and and several scandals did a number on his own luster, and his presidency wasn't what it could have been – he died a little over two years into his term, to be replaced with Calvin Coolidge.
