I called Med Aesthetics Galway and booked an appointment regarding an issue I had around my nose. I had really dry skin and red spots and on certain days my skin would feel quite sore. I already had a good skincare routine and my skin was in good shape thanks to Skin Formulas, but this issue was really bothering me. Since meeting the team and becoming more comfortable with them, I began to tell them about some other complexes I had such as pigmentation around my eyes and fat loss on my face. In this episode we talk about the treatments I've had over the last few months and where I am in my journey. *Disclaimer: This is not an advert. Med Aesthetics did not pay for this podcast. This Podcast was 100% led by me, with my questions and it was me who invited Alma on to discuss my issues. I did receive some treatments for free thanks to Med Aesthetics. In art the Greek and Roman body is often portrayed as one of perfection – flawlessly cast in bronze and white marble. But the classicist Caroline Vout tells Adam Rutherford that the reality was very different. In her new book, Exposed: The Greek and Roman Body, she reveals all the imperfections and anxieties, and makes visible those who were regarded at the time as far from perfect – women and servants. The curator and art historian Katy Hessel is also challenging the accepted history in her work, The Story of Art Without Men. She shines a light on women artists, from Sofonisba Anguissola of the Renaissance, to the radical Harriet Power in 19th century America, and the women artists working all over the world in the 21st century. Throughout history the human skin has also been a canvas: permanent markings were discovered on bodies from as early as 5000 BCE. In Painted People: Humanity in 21 Tattoos, Matt Lodder reveals the often hidden artworks – and the people who wore them – to explore a changing world. Producer: Katy Hickman

There are YouTube tutorials, magazine columns, and entire online communities dedicated to finding the “perfect skin care routine.” But what we consider to be “perfect” skin is rooted in racist, sexist and ageist ideas. SPOILER FREE DISCUSSION Oh, do we have a very special show for you guys this week. Having unfortunately missed it’s screening at FrightFest 2018; we have been lucky enough to check out a film we have been eagerly anticipating since we were first made aware of its existence. Starring the inimitable Richard Brake is Perfect Skin which features various themes and subjects including most notably tattoo culture and its portrayal to an extreme degree. A very exciting film that we hope you guys are excited to hear our thoughts about. Elsewhere this week; I break the sad news to Mike that Robert Englund is returning as Freddy Krueger but only for a guest appearance on a American sitcom. The Twilight Zone revival is real. Castle Rock ended with a whimper and so far American Horror Story has returned with a bang. This week, the Who's He? reviewing duo take a look at the latest episode The Rebel Flesh. Both Paul and Phil are not overly critical of this weeks story and the general view is that Matthew Graham has redeemed himself for Fear Her. However, being the picky swines that they are, they still manage to talk about Roger Moore designed acid suits and ropey CGI. They also discuss whether Doctor Who is or ever was too scary for children and go off topic more than once whilst losing themselves in childhood memories.
