There was a time where you couldn't walk down the street without seeing someone sporting a SpiritualGangster t-shirt. (Please note: that time hasn't really passed.) Well, the shirt that epitomized the spiritual seeker who was also cool was the brain child of former lawyer and yoga teacher Ian Lopatin. Despite the fact that the brand he and his wife started by making t-shirts out of their garage mushroomed into a $30 million business, their success was far from a straight line—as Lopatin shares in this episode, there were many failures along the way. But Spiritual Gangster has never been so much a clothing company as it is an ethos—one that Lopatin embodies. And now he's helping those who have achieved it all but still find themselves in a place of lack discovering how they can get out of the achievement game and into a life of true fulfillment. We dove into everything from the glory failure can bring when you embrace it, how being “energy rich” brings you everything and the way failure comes from fear and attachment. And so much more! For more info, go to www.failyourway.com.

If you have ever thought “wouldn't it be great if there was one place to find all things sober” look no further. Alysse Bryson is the creator of the online magazine The Sober Curator. She is also a woman in long-term recovery who recently celebrated 17 years of freedom from alcohol. Alysse shares her journey from the anonymous rooms of AA to ‘recovering out loud' and becoming a spokesperson for all of us who are walking a similar path. Alysse discovered that there was not ‘one version' of recovery. She lived her alcohol-free life quietly but found that she was often a sought after resource for friends and family. Then, during the pandemic, she made a shift from protecting her own story to ‘recovering out loud'. She credits her time and experience in sobriety to allowing her to identify ‘when she could be helpful' and why moving front and center was the next right move.  With her background in media and print, Alysse launched The Sober Curator in August of 2020. The Sober Curator is an online magazine that features a variety of contributing writers and a content library that includes: Lifestyle, Entertainment, Happy Every Hour, Travel and The Spiritual Gangster. Spiritual entrepreneur Keira Poulsen's pretty gnarly resume includes owning Freedom House Publishing Co., creating The Awaken Program Mastermind, hosting The Awaken Podcast, and writing the book “Rise Up and Awaken to the Joy of Being Human”. Keira sat down on the Enough-ism Podcast to talk about her life's mission: to wake women up to their greatness through the power of writing. Keira specifically helps women publish their own books — in about two months! The focus of this work, however, isn't about putting pen to paper or fingers to keyboard. It's about how the process of great writing is the concurrent process of a great awakening. And that the best writing comes from a place of openness, where your flow state is activated and your spirit feels charged up to empower others. “I teach women how to create successful businesses of light spiritually, from the message in their book,” Keira told Enough-ism. “That way they don't just write a book, publish it, and then it just, like, ends up in a closet in their house. If there's a message that needs to come through, it also needs to be a business because that is how you impact the world,” she explained. ABOUT THE SHOW: This minimalist wants more. Enough-ism is about having enough, already. The world is experiencing an awakening. This podcast about mindfulness, meditation, and minimalism is your modern toolkit to keep your spirit right and your soul bright. One candle can light a fire. | ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Reverend Yugen Bond is an author and reiki master with a master's in metaphysical sciences. She once despised meditation, had both too much and nothing to wear, and didn't know how to slow down her thoughts. What a journey it's been. In this episode, I am super excited to be joined by Ian Lopatin, co-founder of Spiritual Gangster. We discussed his journey on beginning Spiritual Gangster and his insight on creating a business around your passion. As a law student in the early 90s, Ian encountered yoga and it changed his path. being a sign from the Universe that inspired him to create a chain of studios that combined his love for hip hop music with his practice. Through this, he generated a local movement grounded in connectedness and inclusivity. Ian and his wife eventually felt called to grow this movement and started Spiritual Gangster, a yoga-inspired clothing brand, with the desire to share their practice with a global community. They designed each collection with the intention to inspire high vibration living both on and off the mat. What started off as a passion project has now scaled into a successful business, inspiring a global community of Spiritual Gangsters. Ian discusses what it is like to be an entrepreneur and visionary and discusses what things we can do now due to Covid-19 restrictions. We discuss in greater detail the following with Ian: The business world has had to shift gears. Take this moment to slow down, spend time doing something physically active because this helps creativity flow. Take this chance to realign. When we are more open and trust the signs of the universe we can connect and create positivity, raising your vibrations. You have the opportunity to provide value to people with your business so figure out what you like and make sure you have a passion for what you are doing. Figure out your “why” and get started.... build momentum. We also talk about how important it is to have a vision for your business. In times of change stay disciplined and create habits and rituals that serve you as much as you can. Be adaptable and have the right mindset; this is the root of all success and learnings. As co-founder of Spiritual Gangster Ian has practiced gratitude, he has learned that as you grow and expand to become healthier you become wealthier. It is karmic when you raise peoples' vibrations and it comes back. His brand is not only clothing, it is creating a feeling, making people feel better, spreading good vibes and prosperity. Hope you enjoy and find value in this episode! Wishing you the best of health, Gunny Sodhi

Adrian Vallera is an example of a life led by service. While taking a walk in one of his favorite nature ‘vortexes', he received a transmission to start DisclosureFest Foundation. The foundation is a community and initiative based nonprofit platform whose sole purpose is to bring communities together by raising our vibrational frequency and consciousness. Adrian's essence pours through his words, “There's no time limit for spiritual growth.” During this episode we're taken into pockets of his life from his interactions with extraterrestrials, his daily spiritual practice of communicating with the earth and the sun, how to deal with ancestral trauma and dark times and his sustainable initiatives and mass meditations. The episode proves to be an opportunity for us to reflect on the ways we can be of service and reawaken our true life's purpose. Learn more about DisclosureFest and their environmental and humanitarian initiatives: disclosurefest.org Follow us @spacebetweennow everywhere and don't forget to subscribe.

Brandon Breaux is a fine artist from Chicago and the genius behind all 3 of Chance the Rapper's wildly recognizable mixtape covers. During this episode, Breaux details his journey through his art career starting with ‘going with and against the grain' by fulfilling his parent's dream of going to college all the while working and staying true to his real desire of self-expression. Ultimately his instinctual decision to stick to his love of art is what led to his success and exploration of self. He takes us through moments of nostalgia, his father's battle with mental health and his mission of elevating narratives and challenging what people think and see as possible. Breaux clues us into the power we have if we follow our mission, “I can design this thing how I want it to be.”  The conversation between TSB hosts Joey Nittolo and Eddie Donaldson prove to be an inspirational exchange about creating a life that feeds our purpose, pushing through the stigmas and limitations that others place upon us and ultimately letting ‘who we are' reach our highest potential. Follow us @spacebetweennow everywhere and don't forget to subscribe.
