This special “Back to School” episode with one of South Florida's young and famous stars, now making his mark in LA, the Kevin Bosch, is about high hopes and hard work. Most fans of Jenny Lorenzo's hit YouTube show about everyone's “Abuela” definitely know him as the sweet, yet mysterious, Primo Kevin. The CATALINA Stars' family knows him as one of our favorite writers, directors, actors, comedians, and artists (who always makes us laugh). On social media he goes by “Who is Kevin?” He actually goes by “Quien C**ajo es Kevin?” Is it a sign, a clue, that he rather be an artist behind the scenes and not in the spotlight? Who is this mysterious funny guy? Cristina, this podcast's young host, is so happy to talk to Primo Kevin and find out more about him. Who, what, where, when, why, and how is the world of Kevin Bosch? Not only does he open up in this one-on-one talk, but Kevin isn't afraid to be honest about his “fame” and explain how he does what he does, and how others can too ( ... no matter how old you are).

In 2019, I was fortunate enough to meet and run a Q&A with the exceptionally talent writer/director/actor Alex Lykos. After the run of his film Me and My Left Brain around Australia, I got back in touch with Alex to have a chat about the process, about the stresses of self releasing the film, and the challenges of making a film in Australia outside of the funding body systems. I'm releasing this now at the beginning of 2020 with the intention of showing the difficulties that Alex faced as he put his film out into the world, and hope that when people listen to this interview that they can appreciate the struggles of getting films released in Australia independently. Hopefully after you hear Alex's story that you can appreciate how important it is to get behind Australian artists and support their work. They put so much of themselves out there that it is beyond important to support them when they do make themselves vulnerable for us. Check out the pieces I've written about Me and My Left Brain here, including its placement in the Best Australian Films of 2019 list. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Zane Rubin has a voice unto herself. Maybe that's because she mostly writes, directs and stars in her series for places like Comedy Central and Superdeluxe, but there's something else to it. In our interview with Zane we talk about how she came to become a serious filmmaker early in life, how she's overcome being rejected by tons of festivals, and found a group of incredible actors to collaborate with.
