In this moment—right now—you are creating. With every thought, every feeling, every assumption you hold as true, you are painting your reality with the brush of imagination. I'm speaking to the creator within you. Not the version that struggles, doubts, or waits for permission—but the version that already knows how to manifest through the elegant simplicity of pure imagination. This Reality Creator Activation isn't about escaping your current experience. It's about recognizing the immense power you already wield in each present moment. The ancient mystics understood it. Quantum physics confirms it. The universe responds not to what you want or hope for, but to what you imagine as already true. Most people spend their lives imagining what they fear, what they lack, what might go wrong—never realizing they're using the same creative faculty that could manifest abundance, healing, and joy. The difference is simply where you place your attention and how vividly you imagine. Let me take you into the imaginal realms to activate your reality creation power.

They guide listeners through the four stages of active imagination: _invitation, dialogue, cataloging, and ritualization_. The discussion includes practical advice, such as being mindful of the distinction between daydreaming and active imagination, and offers strategies to safely engage in this practice. They stress the importance of journaling and personal interpretation, avoiding standard symbolism guides, and suggest various ways to ritualize insights gained through this process. Charlie also recommends the book _Inner Work_ by Robert A. Johnson for further exploration of active imagination and dream work. Concluding with a unique self-directed prayer, Charlie invites listeners to consider active imagination as a powerful tool for self-discovery. “I will do my best to be my best and leave the world and the people I meet a little better than when I found them.”   These twenty-five words, said from the heart, represent nature's highest calling to all living things: to reach their potential and contribute to their species and the whole . . .   All it takes is this commitment to do your best to be your best – days, serial entrepreneur Ben Lytle, author of THE PURSUIT OF WISDOM, as that's how he led and launched seven successful companies to date, creating billions in market value, including New York Stock Exchange-listed Acordia, Inc. and Anthem (now Elevance Health), which have a current market value of more than $120 billion. He also co-founded Silver Sneakers, a fitness program designed for older adults that became one of the world's largest exercise programs.   Sharing his knowledge now as an author of THE POTENTIALIST series, his latest installment, The Pursuit of Wisdom was published Fall of 2024. He shares the importance of wisdom and its practice in everything from business to intimacy in relationships. The series is intended as a guidebook for success during the fast-changing, turbulent, and opportunity-rich times ahead—named The Fourth Industrial Revolution by the World Economic Forum.   Ben's devotion to individual and collective human potential through accelerated wisdom guides much of his work and sharing.   Among many nuggets, Ben Lytle shares about leadership, human potential, and wisdom from THE POTENTIALIST: The Pursuit of Wisdom                                                                     Human potential has consistently been underestimated. Humanity, especially its leaders, has yet to grasp this timeless truth.                                         How can I be sure that my intentions are genuine and my actions are consistent?                     Gratitude is powerful in its presence or absence.   If you struggle with judging yourself, you are trapped in the ego's cognitive distortion of perfection, which does not exist in nature and cannot exist in you.   Inside everyone, buried more deeply in some, lies a craving for an ecstatic connection called intimacy that unites us with others and all things in nature.   Humanity will achieve an unprecedented elevation in potential and wisdom when intimate relationships are as familiar as social acquaintances are today.   Intimacy, unconditional love, and empathy are not subject to the law of consumption but to infinity, from which they are derived. The more we give, the more we have available to offer.   Intimacy may be the most potent force we experience in life.                                           Think of intimacy as a healthy contagion spreading outward and altering every person and thing you touch.   Intimacy is the North Star of the art of living well, our most basic need, our highest calling, and the surest path to potential and wisdom.   Fear owns you, or you own it. Only you can decide who's in charge.   Adversity is a teacher, not a punishing warden.   What we spend time with and where we spend our time makes who we are. Decisions made wisely throughout life accelerate potential and wisdom.   At family intimacy, unconditional love and belonging are, at their best, protective membranes between you and the rest of the world from birth to death.   It is impossible to become wise without gratitude.   Many people remain tragically defined by inaccurate memories that limit their potential and quality of life.                                                      Questions to ponder:   • Will working and living with humanlike automation emphasize or blur my human distinctiveness?   • How do I integrate with automation like AI and robotics without losing my humanity?    • What security, backup, and controls should I insist on as my life increasingly depends upon more intelligent and competent automation?   • How do I prepare for career opportunities as automation assumes the grunt work and frees me for higher-value work that is creative, problem-solving, and involves complex relationships with humans and humanlike automation?   If institutions continue faltering, how, when, and on what matters will you fill the void they leave, protect your interests, and participate in reshaping them?   Will you lead wisely to heal polarizing issues in your orbit, or stay silent and hope someone else leads?   Will you develop and execute an adaptive strategy for a longer life in an aging society, or will you trust that the government or someone else will take care of you and yours?   How will my loved ones and I assess the choices and consequences to make the wisest possible decisions in a personalized world of expanding choices, individual initiative and productivity, and self-discovery?                                                                                   Active Imagination or visualize-to-realize is concentrated practice to learn and become what we imagine or visualize.   We can be only what we imagine, and what we imagine, we can exceed.   All-time problems are priority problems in disguise.   Everyone can contribute to democratizing wisdom by passing on their life experience as examples of wise and unwise actions and decisions.   The development of potential and wisdom becomes cumulative, accelerating you forward in an ecstatic experience of perpetual growth.   Ben Lytle is a self-made serial entrepreneur-CEO known for being ahead of the curve. He launched five successful companies, including two listed on the New York Stock Exchange. The best-known is Anthem, which is today twenty-ninth on the Fortune 500 with a market value of over $100 billion. He is a healthcare policy expert who served on state and presidential healthcare commissions, a governance leader with extensive public company experience, a senior athlete, a world traveler, a father of three children, and a grandfather to eight grandchildren. Ben's devotion to individual and collective human potential through accelerated wisdom guides his writing, speaking, entrepreneurial energy, and investments. He believes that people and organizations today underestimate the extent and speed with which they and the world will change. Time to prepare and adapt is being compressed, opportunities are missed, and unnecessary suffering will result unless prompt action is taken. He wrote The Potential: Your Future in the New Reality of the Next Thirty Years as a guide to success through wiser, timely actions and decisions in the opportunity-rich, turbulent times ahead. In the highly anticipated second installment of The Potential series, The Pursuit of Wisdom, Ben takes you on an uplifting journey to unleash your potential and accelerate the decision-making wisdom vital during the most significant change in human history. Ben, a serial entrepreneur and attorney, mentioned writing a book series on tapping into human potential during the current era of great change aimed at his grandchildren and children. Navigating Transformation and Embracing Change Michael and Ben discussed the current period of significant transformation in humanity. Michael expressed his excitement about participating in this change and emphasized the importance of learning and understanding to navigate through it. Ben agreed, noting that historically, only a tiny percentage of people have thrived during significant change. He stressed the need to adapt actively and not fear these changes. Both agreed that change can be growth and that it's essential to recognize the opportunities it presents for humanity. They also touched on the fear of success and the importance of embracing change. Global Education, Wisdom, and Personal Growth Ben discussed the potential of reaching higher levels of education and learning worldwide, emphasizing the importance of using available information and knowledge wisely. He introduced his second book, which focuses on developing one's capacity for wisdom and making better decisions. Ben encouraged everyone to apply themselves and make significant progress in a short amount of time. Michael agreed, highlighting the importance of self-improvement and not comparing oneself to others. They both emphasized the potential for personal growth and the need to apply oneself differently. Exploring Wisdom, Personal Growth, and Healthcare Challenges Ben and Michael discussed the potential of wisdom being accessible to everyone and the importance of personal growth. Ben emphasized the role of self-doubt and the ego hindering personal development and suggested that understanding and woodworking with one's psychological body can improve decision-making and find purpose. Michael shared his experience of overcoming self-doubt and embracing change, highlighting the importance of being open to new opportunities. They also touched on the challenges and rewards of working in healthcare, with Michael noting the unpredictability of the field and the need for adaptability. The conversation concluded with Ben mentioning the integration of AI and brain science in technology, hinting at future developments in this area. Addressing Global Challenges With AI and Robotics Ben and Michael discussed the world's challenges, particularly the declining population and the need for increased productivity to sustain economies. They emphasized the importance of technologies like AI and robotics in healthcare and other sectors in addressing these issues. Ben highlighted the need for a shift in mindset from fear to embracing these technologies for their potential benefits. Michael agreed, noting the need for more clinicians and caregivers and the necessity of moving fast on AI and robotics while ensuring safety and caution. They concluded that the world needs to start thinking about accelerating the learning process and getting more people into the system to address these challenges. Addressing Declining Birth Rates and Aging Populations Michael and Ben discussed the implications of declining birth rates and aging populations on infrastructure and economic growth. They noted that countries like Canada and Italy are experiencing a significant decline in new births, which could lead to a shortage of skilled workers and a reduced tax base. Ben emphasized the need for proactive measures, particularly in healthcare, to address these issues. They also touched on the challenges faced during the pandemic, such as surgery delays and access to diagnosis. Enhancing Healthcare Productivity With Technology Ben and Michael discussed the need for innovation and productivity enhancement in healthcare, particularly in the face of a shortage of healthcare workers. They emphasized the importance of leveraging technology to support healthcare professionals rather than replacing them. They also highlighted the need for a shift in mindset from caution and distraction to proactive problem-solving and preparation for the future. Ben suggested that the current reality requires healthcare professionals to operate at the top of their licenses and that technology can help achieve this. They concluded by expressing optimism for the future, with Ben referring to it as the "age of expanding human potential." Enhancing Human Capabilities With Technology Ben and Michael discussed the potential of technology to enhance human capabilities, such as memory and decision-making. Ben emphasized the importance of the United States leading in this area, as it could significantly impact the world. He also shared his website, potentialistfuture.com, where people can find more about his work and books. Michael appreciated Ben's insights and encouraged others to follow him. They also touched on the importance of self-awareness and ego management in personal growth.

Creativity flows when our hearts and minds are open, and tightens when we grasp onto particular ideas of outcome. It tends to hide from us when we take ourselves too seriously. Lightness of spirit is key. "Lila" is a Hindu term that has many layers. It describes the effortless play between the relative world and the absolute. Lila manifests when when fullness, unable to contain itself, spills over into creation. This episode includes a 7-minute talk about creativity that alludes to Carl Jung's method of Active Imagination and the benefits of paying attention to our dreams. For individuals with a strong capacity for imagination, fantasy life can be alluring, treacherous and for some, addictive. What happens when active imagination escapes the analyst's office and wanders around “wild” in the psychological world?  Jung was aware of some of the dangers, but he also felt that active imagination was a powerful adjunct to dreams as a way of connecting to deeper parts of ourselves, individuating and creating a living relationship with our unconscious. Don describes how his practice of Liangong, a form of Qigong, deepens his somatic awareness in the studio and in life. He explains how his process of journaling, partly inspired by Robert A. Johnson's book Inner Work: Using Dreams and Active Imagination for Personal Growth, has deepened self-inquiry, and thereby, self-compassion. Don lets us in on his decades-long conversation with an inner wisdom figure he calls Sophie, a voice who regularly encourages his intuition and questions him when he goes off track. He describes Sophie as “a voice from the long history of humanity, or of the universe.” Don shares insights gained from many sources, including spiritual teacher Byron Katie, physicist David Bohm, Jungian analyst Robert A. Johnson, and Akashic Records teacher Linda Howe. Don takes us on a deep dive into the “material meditation” of making art. “When you look back,” he says, “your own accrued shape appears in the spaces between the things you've fashioned.”Don holds an MFA in Poetry from Bennington College and lives in Olympia, Washington, where an upcoming exhibit of his sculpture will take place at Childhood's End Art Gallery. This podcast is focused on the Shamanic World. The Shamanic World is a spiritual world accessible through Imaginative Consciousness of our Soul. In Shamanic View, this spiritual reality is known as The Shamanic World, The Shamanic Cosmos, or, The Spirit World. In Sufism and Neoplatonic View, it is referred to as The Mundus Imaginalis, The Imaginal World, Daimonic Reality, or the Domain of the Soul. Or, in Depth or Archetypal Psychology, this reality is referred to as The Unconscious, The Mundus Archetypus, and The World of Archetypal Images. There are other names given to this hidden spiritual reality, such as Astral, Subtle, or Celestial World. Dreams are one of the gateways, through which we can access these unconscious contents in the Shamanic World. There are other gateways, like shamanic journeys and active imagination that allow broader access to these unconscious contents. This podcast explains what Shamanic World is, and why accessing it is essential to our psychological well-bring and spiritual awakening. More specifically, we cover the following topics: - The Shamanic World and Mundus Imaginalis (The Domain of the Soul)- Soul Consciousness as the Gateway to Shamanic World- Cognitive Imagination as an Inner Sense and Organ of Perception - Difference between Shamanic Journey and Meditation- Personal Dimension of the Shamanic World- And, Impersonal and Archetypal Dimensions of the Shamanic WorldThis podcast is produced by Aion Farvahar, who is a Life and Spirituality Mentor, and a Psychoshamanic and IFS Self-Leadership Practitioner. Where is the realm of Hecate?  In the liminal spaces, the place where the imagination and the material world meet. So says Robert Allen, author of the forthcoming book "Imago," about what's really going in the magician's mission of astral projection. Weaving together strands from his background in painting, Ceremonial Magic, German Tanz Theatre, physical theater, phenomenology and the philosophy of images, Amanda and Robert discuss the relationship between art and magic, and how the imagination really can change the world. The images of the tarot are bottomless pools into the void, offering us opportunities to travel between the worlds. This is a special guided meditation episode which takes you on a journey to meet your inner child and start a dialogue with them. It is inspired by Dr. Carl Jung's active imagination method.  My hope is that this meditation will introduce you to a new way of relating to your inner world. A way that is playful and engages one of the most powerful and seemingly overlooked tools humans have: imagination. In becoming familiar with the method of active imagination, and how to engage a dialogue with a part of your unconscious, we will have a way to not only understand Jung's theories in the following Jung & Alchemy series, but to also experience them. --------- Read the session notes from 3 of my Inner Child meditaitons here: https://www.patreon.com/posts/guided-inner-82881641?utm_medium=clipboard_copy&utm_source=copyLink&utm_campaign=postshare_creator&utm_content=join_link --------- Join the Creative Codex mailing list: https://mjdorian.com/mail/ --------- Support Creative Codex on my Patreon and get access to exclusive episodes, including the Kurt Cobain series and all the Episode Exclusives: https://www.patreon.com/mjdorian Buy me a coffee or add to my fancy books fund on Venmo: https://venmo.com/code?user_id=3235189073379328069&created=1681912456.228596&printed=1 ———— Executive Producers (Dream Maker Tier): Mike Hill, Kurt Ward Written & Produced by MJDorian ———— Connect with me on social media for all the newest updates: YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/creativecodex Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/mjdorian/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/mjdorian TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@mjdorian --------- Creative Codex is written & produced by MJDorian. Nightmares. We all have them. But what exactly do they mean? Why do we have bad dreams? Is there any psychological meaning behind them? Nightmares are the source of much of the horror we see in stories, myths, movies and games. They are an encounter with the dark side of the unconscious, which often includes facing some of the most painful aspects of who we are. And one does not know what that part of oneself is, until one confronts it. Nightmares are the most substantial and vitally important dreams, and are of therapeutic value. They wake us up with a cry, as if all our repressed content forms a bubble which expands until it bursts one night, and we experience a nightmare. They are the shock therapy nature uses on us when we are too unaware of some psychological danger, and shock us out of deep unconscious sleepiness about some dangerous situation. As if the unconscious says, “Look here, this problem is urgent!” The psyche tells us to “wake up” and face what we have neglected. The majority of nightmares represent opportunities for personal healing through much-needed emotional release. ☕ Donate a coffee ⭐ Support on Patreon ━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ⌛ Timestamps (0:00) Introduction (3:00) Dream-Motifs in Nightmares (3:37) Lilith: The First Nightmare (5:07) The Origin & Folklore of Nightmares (9:09) Non-REM Sleep (Night Terrors) (10:36) REM Sleep (Nightmares) (11:43) Nightmare in Dostoevsky's Crime and Punishment (15:40) Fever Dreams and Franz Kafka (17:36) Post-Traumatic Nightmares and Recurring Nightmares (19:00) Precognitive Nightmares (20:36) Carl Jung and The Meaning of Dreams (26:07) The Shadow and Nightmares (28:32) The Devouring Mother Archetype (30:39) Active Imagination (33:08) Lucid Dreaming (36:14) Nightmares and Artists (37:40) Nightmare Artists: Beksiński and Giger

"The PERSONA is our somewhat embellished view of ourselves, the shiny face that we like the world to see. Its opposite, everything we reject about ourselves, is called the SHADOW." Carl Jung by Gary Bobroff In this episode we explore Jung's concept of 'The Shadow', how it might impact our voice and how to identify and bring it into consciousness. Using dreams, active imagination and an examination of our own projections, we can identify not only the darker more unwelcome opinions and thoughts we might be working hard to surpress, but also hidden treasure that didn't fit in our family of origin. The Books I recommend are: Meeting The Shadow - The Hidden Power of the Dark Side of Human Nature by Zweig and Abrahms Romancing The Shadow by Zweig and Abrahms and Subpersonalities - The People Inside Us by John Rowan If you would like to book a free 15 minute meeting with me go to: FREE 15 Minute Meeting

After referring to my training in Voice Movement Therapy over several episodes, I thought it was about time it got an episode to itself! Voice Movement Therapy or VMT is, at its core, an expressive arts therapy that uses the singing voice as its primary tool of expression. I trained in VMT with its founder Paul Newham in London from 1998-2000. It has informed all of my work since then.  In this episode I discuss: A brief history of VMT The two parallel elements that run through it  The physical development of the voice and  The creative and therapeutic development of the self.  Some of the vocal components.  How we incorporate many of Carl Jung's teachings, especially  Active Imagination and work on the personal and collective Shadow. Why I think VMT is one of the most non-discriminatory methods of vocal training currently available.  If you are interested in finding out more about VMT visit www.iavmt.org where you will also find details for the next training. In today's talk, internationally respected author and Jungian analyst Robert A Johnson speaks about the practice of active imagination, a practice that for C. G. Jung was just as important as working with dreams. With the inclusion of evocative and practical examples, Robert describes the four steps involved in active imagination toward psychological dialogue, integration and balance.

This podcast is focused on the Power of Imagination and how it shapes our reality. It also explains what Imagination is and covers three types of Imagination, which are passive imagination, creative imagination, and active imagination. Imagination shapes how we experience reality, because everything in reality is an expression, and every expression is an imagination that has come to its realization.Imagination is an act of “seeing”, not seeing as we see the material world using our eyes, but rather seeing the imaginal world using an inner eye, an eye that can be referred to as the third eye or “the eye of the heart”. Imagination is powerful, because it is neither bounded by physical dimensions nor trapped by the axis of time. Imagination has another important quality, which is its deep desire to be expressed. That is why our imagination shames our reality and how we experience life. The purpose of this presentation is to explain how imagination does that. This podcast covers the following topics:- What is imagination? - What types of imagination can we experience (Passive, Creative, and Active Imagination)?- How does our imagination shape our reality? - And, how to utilize the power of imagination to transform ourselves?       This podcast is produced by Aion Farvahar, who is a Life and Spirituality Mentor, and a Psychoshamanic and IFS Self-Leadership Practitioner. Shamanic Journey is a Self-Guided Expedition into the Imaginal World of the Psyche. In this podcast, we go over Shamanic Journey basics, and provide a description of the Imaginal World, the world of images, accessible through Shamanic Journeying, and C.G. Jung's Active Imagination. We cover the following topics:- What does make Shamanic Journey different than Meditation? - Basic Elements of a Shamanic Journey (boundary, intention, and sonic driver)- Shamanic Journey and the Imaginal World of the Psyche (Mundus Imaginalis) - Practicing A Brief Shamanic Drum Journey Demo The term imaginal world does not mean an imaginary world. It rather a world that “exists in images”. The term Imaginal was first coined by Henry Corbin, famous French Theologian. Corbin introduced the concept of Mundus Imaginalis, or the Imaginal World. The Mundus Imaginalis can also be thought as the World of the Soul, a world that is empirically observed through the organ of Soul or Heart, through Imagination or Imaginative Consciousness. All mystical and altered states of consciousness access this imaginal world to various degrees. This podcast is produced by Aion Farvahar, who is a Life and Spirituality Mentor, and a Psychoshamanic and IFS Self-Leadership Practitioner.
