Now at Celo, she leads ecosystem development for their mobile-first blockchain platform, focusing on bringing financial access to emerging markets through stable coins and innovative payment solutions. Shivaraman is a Bal Vikas student from Chennai who was drawn to chanting Vedic hymns in his childhood. The Sai environment he grew up in and his visits to Sundaram, Bhagawan's abode in Chennai, only furthered and effectively facilitated his interest in the mantras. Today he is blessed to be part of the grand Ati Rudra Maha Yajna, which will commence in Prasanthi Nilayam on Feb 14, as a ritwik, a priest. Even as he exults at this lifetime opportunity, in this episode of OMS, he also shares how Rudram chanting has helped him in so many ways including clearing his Chartered Accountancy examinations in an inexplicable manner.
In this episode I am joined by Nick Alcock the Tax Debt Coach and financial therapist (www.taxdebtcoach.co.nz) . Nick is a Chartered Accountant with over 17 years' experience working at a number of Chartered Accountancy firms across NZ and overseas helping business owners. As a result of his work Nick has acquired a lot of experience dealing with the Inland Revenue Department on behalf of his clients. Nick came across the subject of financial therapy one day quite by accident as a result of this he enrolled in a one year Masters Level Course in Financial Therapy via Kansas State University in America. This course helped Nick to better observe the habits and behaviours of the accounting clients he was working with and lead to the realisation that the new skills and knowledge he gained would greatly assist them with their businesses, especially where they had fallen behind meeting their tax obligations. This then lead Nick to helping a client who had a long history of tax arrears by filing a financial hardship application which in turn lead to the IRD writing off a large proportion of the tax arrears owed. This spurred Nick on to incorporating tax debt management as a niche service offering to his clients. If you struggle with your money habits and this is impacting on your ability to pay your tax on time then give this one a listen. Is there a topic you want covered or a person you want to hear from? Jeannette shares her biggest inspiration and her own formula for success with the amazing Iain Drudy on his show, Fearless Inspiration. Jeannette talks about the importance of running a business with a heart, prioritising people and customers over profits, and her journey from a corporate career in the travel industry to becoming an entrepreneur, as well as her passion for empowering women in the boardroom. KEY TAKEAWAYS It's crucial to put customers and people first in business, rather than solely focusing on financial gains. By prioritising customer satisfaction and creating a value-driven business, financial success will naturally follow. All forms of diversity, including gender, LGBTQ, and social diversity, are important. Creating an inclusive environment not only benefits society but also leads to better financial results and customer experiences. It's important to take responsibility, learn from failures, and maintain a positive mindset to move forward and achieve success. Leaders have a responsibility to inspire their teams, customers, and stakeholders. Leading by example, being authentic, and treating everyone with respect are key aspects of inspiring leadership. There are 3 S's we can use to break through barriers and turn inspiration into action. State refers to mindset and energy levels, story involves the beliefs and narratives we tell ourselves, and strategy focuses on taking action and implementing plans. By addressing these three aspects, individuals can overcome obstacles and achieve their goals. BEST MOMENTS "If you put your customer and your people first, and you do the right thing with a great idea that's unique and different, then the money will follow." "Everyone has skills and contributions that they can make, but you have to really create an environment where proactively you're encouraging those opportunities for all." "Don't lose hope when bad things happen, but own it, take responsibility, don't blame others." "Change your state, change your energy, go to the gym, get a positive endorphin rush, and then the world seems more open to possibilities." "Fundamentally, every person has good in them. I like to think most people are good." This is the perfect time to get focused on what YOU want to really achieve in your business, career, and life. It's never too late to be BRAVE and BOLD and unlock your inner BRILLIANCE. Today on Sense of Soul podcast is Akash Sky, he is a spiritual coach and author. He was born as Akash Thapar in South London, England. His career path is Chartered Accountancy, where he specialises in Financial Investments. The beginning of his life changed direction after his Dad passed away. He experienced an intense yearning to know who he really was, the meaning of life and his relationship with a greater power followed. In 2016 he was connected to the essence of Guruji, the Avatar of Hinduism's Lord Shiva, in a formless relationship. During the year, Guruji guided him to study A Course in Miracles which is dictated by Jesus Christ. Over 5 years of disciplined self-study internally with Guruji & Jesus Christ, he made many memoirs, notes, and a scrap book of experiences, which lead to the existence of this book, Introducing You to Your Own Perfection. His book was written under challenging circumstances. It was as if it came out of nowhere, or now-here. The book began in the UK's national Coronavirus Lockdown, as the writer had an 18-month-old baby, a pregnant wife expecting another, a full-time career in Finance outside of writing and a normal householder life with all the regular maintenance to uphold without his wife heavy lifting. Akash did not expect a book to emerge from this intense busy period of life. Today, Akash continues his career in Finance and is a family man who writes and discusses mystical experiences with other spiritual seekers. Prior to Renewi, Adam spent two years at Gala Coral Group, managing a high yield debt structure transaction towards the reverse takeover of Ladbrokes plc.
