Blake Mitchell, a 30-year-old from Oklahoma, moved to Cozumel, Mexico, to attend classes and earn his diving instructor certification. For about a year, he had been traveling back and forth to Cozumel with his dog Sophie. However, on March 13, 2019, he disappeared. On the day of his disappearance, Blake texted his brother saying he had a toothache and wouldn't be diving. When the messages suddenly stopped, his family grew concerned. They contacted the diving center, which informed them that Blake was missing and had left behind his cellphone, backpack, motorcycle, and dog Sophie. Initially, it seemed like Blake might have had a diving accident, but as more evidence emerged, his family began to suspect foul play. Where is Blake Mitchell? A megaproject is proposed to move forward to build an 800 metre long pier for the island of Cozumel to accommodate four more cruise lines per day (in addition to the current 3 cruise lines per day). The pier will also be designated as a home port leading to a series of condos that will be built for cruise staff. The proposed megaproject is a risk to the local coral reefs for which most tourists come to visits and will further restrict beach access to the local people.  Olivia and German join me on the podcast to discuss the work they have been doing to stop the megaproject from going forward including proposing an injunction on the start of the project until a trial for a lawsuit on the project can be conducted.  The lawsuit is against the federal government agencies that are responsible for identifying the environmental, social, and economic risks for their citizens if the project moves forward.  Here is how you can help: German's Links: Website: https://www.ccrrp.org Facebook: https://m.facebook.com/www.ccrrp.org/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/coz_coral_reef_restoration/?hl=en Pier Activism on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/noalcuartomuelle/ Olivia's Instagram https://www.instagram.com/askoliviarose/?hl=en Petition: https://www.change.org/p/conanp-no-necesitamos-una-4ta-terminal-homeport-para-cruceros-en-la-isla

All Oceanwide staff and passengers were vaccinated and required to take several tests both before and during their cruise, which will be 17 days into its 19-night total by the time Plancius reaches Stanley.Plancius also underwent extensive upgrades prior to the voyage: Pathogen-killing UV filtration for HVAC systems, fever-detecting thermal cameras for common areas, and dedicated quarantine cabins with independent air vents are just some of the many safety measures Oceanwide has taken.Stanley businesses have likewise developed additional protocols. These include but are not limited to enhanced cleaning routines, contactless payment, and self-declaration forms, efforts that have earned the islands the approval of the World Travel & Tourism Council.Margaritaville Sets Sail with Margaritaville at SeaMargaritaville announces Margaritaville at Sea, an offshore resort experience. The SOFC will reduce emissions of greenhouse gases (GHG) by about a further 30 percent compared with a conventional LNG engine without producing emissions of nitrogen oxides, sulphur oxides or fine particles.  It also offers the advantage of being compatible with LNG, as well as several low carbon fuels such as types of methanol, ammonia and hydrogen. This project will form the building block for future larger installations and the beginning of an even closer collaboration between MSC Cruises and Chantier de L'Atlantique on R&D of fuel cell technology. The traditional coin ceremony tradition took place as the keel was laid for MSC Cruises' second LNG-powered ship, MSC Euribia, which will be one of the most environmentally high performing contemporary vessels built in France. Anne Claire Juventin Responsible for Quality Control from the Chantiers de l'Atlantique, and Valentina Mancini, Brand Manager from MSC Cruises performed the traditional maritime ritual as godmothers representing the ship owner and the shipbuilder when they placed two coins under the keel as the historical sign of blessing and good fortune for the project, and the ship's operational life at sea.The float out of MSC World Europa, which will be the first LNG-powered vessel to join the MSC Cruises fleet took place at the shipyard in Saint-Nazaire where she will now be moved to a wet dock for work to continue on the ship until her delivery in November 2022.NCL Homeports in Panama City Norwegian Cruise Line, will become the first cruise line to homeport in Panama City, Panama, offering roundtrip Panama Canal voyages beginning 20 March 2022 with Norwegian Jewel.NCLK (Parent company of NCL) signed a multi-year agreement with the Panama Tourism Authority which allows the Company to seasonally homeport at the Colon Cruise Terminal as well as at Fuerte Amador Cruise Terminal located on the Pacific Ocean side of the country and adjacent to Panama City.In 2022 and 2023 the Company will offer 12 homeport voyages starting with Norwegian Jewel on 20 March 2022 where she will sail a nine-day itinerary traversing the Panama Canal and visiting incredible destinations including Puerto Limon, Costa Rica; Oranjestad, Aruba; Willemstad, Curaçao; Kralendijk, Bonaire and Cartagena, Colombia before arriving to the Caribbean side of Panama in the city of Colon.Starting 14 January 2023, Norwegian Gem will also feature select Panama Canal voyages including an 11-day journey visiting seven ports of call, including Puerto Limon, Costa Rica; Oranjestad, Aruba; Willemstad, Curaçao; Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic and Grand Turk, Turks & Caicos Islands before ending in New York City. The Hawaiian Islands are best seen by The Pride of America! You start in Honolulu and go to Kahului Maui, Hilo Hawaii, Kona Hawaii, Nawiliwili Kaua'i and return to Honolulu Oahu. Cozumel will definitely be different than my last race in Tulsa, OK this past May. For one, it's a completely different environment. It's a tougher course. It'll be hot.... If you're still doing all the work in your side hustle or business yourself, you're limiting your growth. This is an episode about getting out of your own way--about the transformation from technician to business owner. To help me work through the 6 Rules of Scale, I invited Sean Marshall from FamilyRocketship.com back to the program. We last heard from Sean way back in episode 92 in early 2015. I think he’s someone worth paying attention to because he’s set up his business (an online marketing agency) in such a way that the day-to-day operations don’t require much of his direct involvement at all. On the surface, his is a freelancing business, but Sean has avoided the common freelancing trap (or ceiling) of trading his own time for money. In doing so, that affords him and his family a pretty cool lifestyle. Last time we caught up they were living in Cozumel Mexico, and today, he and his wife and 3 daughters are spending several months in Scotland. Before we dive into the 6 Rules with Sean, he proposed two questions to ponder as pre-requisites: Why did you start your business in the first place? What do you want out of it? How big do you want it to be? What’s the highest and best use of your time? To achieve that ultimate why from question #1, what things do you need to do to get there, and equally important, what are the things you need to stop doing. So those are 2 questions to keep in mind as we go through this episode.

I met Susan in 2012 in Cozumel Mexico. I was there to cheer for my friends and she was there to race. Susan is one of the very first people I approached to be on the Mile after Mile Podcast but to be honest she was too busy racing that she postponed for 43 weeks (but who's counting). In fact, to finally get this interview I had to meet her in person. She came in to race Miami Man our local 70.3 distance event and she also took the time to speak to my triathlon club and grant me this interview. We talk about how she got her start racing. How she manages to race so much. How she does this in an affordable way and why she raced her 100th race for the Children't Tumor Foundation. Thank you Susan for being a guest on the Mile after Mile Podcast. You can find Susan on Facebook and Instagram @SusanHaag. **** Special thanks to my friend Liz at the Avoid Being Hated Podcast for loaning me the equipment to do this interview.
