I'm so thrilled to welcome Dick Schwartz, the founder of Internal Family Systems (IFS), back to the podcast, as well as my friend Ocean, who brings her voice and lived experience to this important conversation. Today, we explore the intersection between IFS and the plural community--those living with DID (Dissociative Identity Disorder) and OSDD (Other Specified Dissociative Disorders). What's the difference between DI parts and the IFS parts many of us talk about? How can we bridge misunderstandings between the IFS community and those living with more distinct parts?  This conversation was deeply moving and healing. I'm so grateful to both Dick and Ocean for their honesty, wisdom, and compassion. In this episode, we explore: The differences and overlap between DI parts and IFS parts Why the plural community has sometimes felt unseen and misunderstood by IFS The harm in labeling parts as managers, firefightes and exiles The complicated relationship many survivors have with Self Energy Strategies for working with systems shaped by deep trauma Why trust, patience, and honoring every part is a prerequisite to healing   Be sure to watch the extended video interview with Dick and Ocean over on our Substack.    Favorite Quotes: “IFS was never meant to pathologize people. It was meant to honor the fact that all of us are multiple, and that those parts aren't what they seem.” — Dick Schwartz "There's a huge difference between saying, 'Your parts are managers, firefighters, and exiles,' and saying, 'I'm noticing some of your parts seem to be taking on these roles to protect you.'" — Ocean    About Tiffany "Ocean" Morgan Tiffany Morgan (Ocean) is a Certified IFS therapist, consultant, and educator with lived experience of OSDD (Otherwise Specified Dissociative Disorder). "Eating disorders are dissociative by nature. It's very difficult to be connected to your feelings while you're engaging in eating disorder behaviors. So it makes a lot of sense that people develop eating disorders as a way of keeping themselves as “safe” as possible." In this special episode, Abbie is joined by the incredible Monica Ostroff, a therapist and eating disorders specialist, to explore Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) and its overlooked intersection with eating disorders. They also have a deeper conversation about the relationship between trauma and disordered eating. Send me a DM here (it doesn't let me respond), OR email me: imagineabetterworld2020@gmail.comToday I'm honored to introduce you all to: Satanic ritual abuse, mind control, and organized trafficking survivor and whistleblower, loving mother, brilliant writer and story-teller on Substack, mental health advocate, spiritual wellness connoisseur, conspiracy theory enthusiast, and my dear friend, Jessica KaitlinWhen I first met Jessica months and months ago, her sheer strength, light she embodied, and the fragments of her story she shared left me utterly amazed. Though she couldn't speak out publicly at first, our bond grew, leading me to anonymously feature her in two Substack articles, gently introducing her harrowing experiences in writing to the world. After months of deepening our friendship, I was profoundly moved when she messaged me, "I'm ready to share my story on your podcast!"Born into a legacy of pain, with both families marked by generations of incest and abuse, Jessica's life began under the shadow of trauma. Conceived from a teenage pregnancy within a family that perpetuated child trafficking, she faced molestation, grooming, and psychological torment from her earliest years. At four years old, after revealing abuse by an uncle, Jessica was removed from her father's home, yet the connection was never fully severed, leaving Jessica with a very fractured and poorly put together collaboration of Dissociative Identity Alters. Despite a mother dissociated from her own past abuse, and being forced onto the streets at 15, Jessica's spirit remained unbroken and she has been on a dedicated healing journey ever since. She embarked on a fierce journey of healing, diving deep into the realms of mental health, conspiracy theories, spiritual warfare, and healing practices. Today, Jessica stands as a passionate advocate, educating others on child sexual abuse, Dissociative Identity Disorder, the dark mechanisms of evil, and the empowering truth of our divine heritage as children of a loving Creator. Her story is not just one of survival, but of transformation, empowerment, and the relentless pursuit of light in the darkest of places.CONNECT WITH JESSICA: Substack: https://substack.com/@guidedhealingExclusive Article "Removing An Entity Placed During A Childhood Satanic Ritual": https://substack.com/home/post/p-159159376ARTICLES DONE WITH JESSICA ON EMMA'S SUBSTACK: 1. Send me a DM here (it doesn't let me respond), OR email me: imagineabetterworld2020@gmail.comToday I'm honored to have back on the show: Satanic ritual abuse & MK Ultra survivor and whistleblower, mother, spiritual coach, child abuse and trauma advocate and educator, entrepreneur and owner of Positive Shifting, and self directed learner, Caylen HartwellIn case you're new here or missed Caylen's first episode we aired a couple years ago, here is a short overview of what we discussed: Caylen - once known as Kathy Collins -  was born into the shadows of a multi-generational ritual abuse and incest family. Caylen, like so many brave voices on this show, grew up under the illusion of a "mostly normal" family. Beneath the surface, however, whispers of dysfunction lingered in her memory. But it wasn't until adulthood - sparked by an unexpected encounter with TMJ - that the floodgates of buried truths began bursting open. Life as she knew it would begin shattering, leading her to discover the truth about the other side of the double-life she lived growing up. What emerged after this breakdown was a courageous break-through of remembrance, healing, and empowerment. And through her transformative work with Positive Shifting, Caylen now lights the way for other survivors, offering education, coaching, and a roadmap to wholeness.Trauma is a universal thread woven into the fabric of every human life, varying only in its shades and intensities. Yet, how astonishing it is that this profound force remains shrouded in mystery - even to the most learned minds. Therapists, counselors, and psychiatrists, for instance, are rarely versed in the realities of Dissociative Identity Disorder or the chilling depths of satanic ritual abuse. Caylen stands as a fearless bridge across this chasm of ignorance, guiding everyone - from survivors of MK ULTRA to therapists, and even those wrestling with the everyday weight of being human - toward a path of turning pain and trauma into beauty and purpose. With wisdom and grace, she unravels the intricate layers of trauma embedded in our bodies and spirits, revealing pathways to healing that are as revolutionary as they are liberating. The last time Caylen was on, we discussed some of her upbringing, her remembrance of her memories, and dove deep into journey of healing and in becoming a professional healer. Today, we will be diving even deeper into Caylen's story, including digging in more to her family history, her life in ‘the program', UAPs, UFOs, aliens and their relationship to MK ULTRA, her journey to healing, and so much more.CONNECT WITH CAYLEN:Website: Spiritual Coaching | Positive Shifting | United States Instagram: Caylen Hartwell (@caylenhartwell) • Instagram photos and videosTwitter: (2) Caylen (@CaylenHartwell) / TwitterCAYLEN'S RECOMMENDED LINKS:Dream Dictionary referenced in the interview:Dream Dictionary: Crisp, Tony: 9780760765357: Amazon.com: BooksITNJ Judicial Commission on Human Trafficking:Human Trafficking and Child Sex Abuse - Judicial Commission of Inquiry (itnj.org)Interview with Kristy Allen on SRA and MK Ultra:Kristy Allen ~ MK Ultra, SRA Survivor (ITNJ Seating) - YouTube(not all of the testimonies are available regrettably)CONNECT WITH THE IMAGINATION:All links: https://direcSupport the show

He talked about his shift from fiction to non-fiction, particularly his obsession with understanding the mental health industry—not just as a patient, but as someone who's seen firsthand how it's structured more as a business model than a system designed to help people.Victor opened up about living with DID, explaining that he has 17 distinct personalities, each with its own role and characteristics. Some identities protect him, while others—like Harris and The Beast—can be destructive. He described how his early childhood trauma, starting at just four years old, caused his brain to fragment, creating these identities as a means of survival. He also touched on the eerie experience of reading poetry written by one of his alters, The Poet, often seeing words and ideas that he doesn't consciously remember writing. One of the most intense parts of the conversation was Victor's explanation of his nightly experiences—two-hour episodes where his brain essentially “rewires” itself, forcing him to relive past trauma in vivid, painful detail. He described it as the complete “atomization of self,” where he loses all sense of reality and has to re-teach himself basic motor functions like walking and balancing once it's over. Despite the overwhelming nature of these experiences, he has learned to approach them with a sense of dark humor, knowing that fear only fuels the fire.We also talked about the mental health system, both in Canada and the U.S., and Victor didn't hold back. He described the system as flawed, dismissive, and, at times, outright abusive. His personal battles within the system—from being institutionalized to fighting for his own medical records—highlight the lack of true patient advocacy and care.Victor also shared his experiences with different therapeutic approaches, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Prolonged Exposure Therapy, and Equine-Assisted Therapy. He praised DBT for being developed by someone with lived experience, but warned that prolonged exposure therapy is not for the faint of heart. His work with horses, however, has been a game-changer, helping him regulate his nervous system and develop a deeper understanding of emotional energy.Through it all, Victor remains brutally honest about his struggles, his lack of trust in the system, and his belief that there's no “fix” for mental illness—only the ability to understand and manage it. His goal? To keep fighting, keep learning, and help others in the process. This conversation was real, raw, and one you don't want to miss.

Drew and Garden System talk about how in the beginning a system feels separated from each other, even feeling like enemies. There often is difficulty in listening to selves, because it is hard to learn and believe what parts hold and about trauma that occurred. They talk about how they developed relationships within their systems, navigating selves with different values, beliefs and behaviors. Drew and Garden System share personal stories about improving relationships by building trust, figuring out what is important to different selves, compromising and coming together as systems. Also covered is the often necessary topic of adult selves looking after and reparenting younger or little selves. The episode concludes that offering gratitude to your selves for all the strengths they bring to your system as a whole helps all of yous feel appreciated and loved. If you like Renegade Files, please leave us a 5 star review on Apple Podcasts or Spotify if you think we deserve it. (It helps new listeners find the show.) Thank you. This is Renegade Files Episode 76, Multiple Personality Disorder: The Controversial Concepts of Dissociation. Like all Renegade Files Podcast content, this episode is for entertainment only. This episode explores topics of mental health and disorder, but it is in no way medical advice or even expert opinion. Enjoy.  At a certain level, we all have variations of our personalities, and these develop over time as a way to relate to and interact with others in society. We may be proper and generally quiet at work, animated and provocative among our friends, and distant and disengaged around our family. And we may shift across a number of identities throughout our days. A parent in the morning, an accountant from 9 to 5, and a skydiver on the weekends.  For most of us what we do may change, but who we are, has a relative and agreed upon consistency. But for a very small percentage of the general population the foundational reality of self is something else, something fluid, retreating, or fully disjointed and fractured. This experience is known as dissociation and it can manifest across a spectrum of levels that ranges from a perceived detachment from nature or the environment, to a complete Dissociative Identity Disorder where more than one personality occupies a person's awareness, and each point of comprehension is separated by blackout gaps of memory, knowledge, and influence. Much like so many things we have explored here on Renegade Files, the ins and outs of this topic go very deep, and the multifaceted realities of the subject, may not align with the concepts and explanations that we, as a society, have been led to believe over the years. Was the phenomenon of Multiple Personalities as we know it created more by the entertainment industry, than the clinical fields of psychology? Has the legal system incentivized repressed memories? And are their fractured Alters and Multiples living dormant in each of us, awaiting the perfect moment to step forth, and control the world we have built for them? Come with me now, and together we will explore such questions, and more, as we dive deep into the fascinating subject of Multiple Personality Disorder: The Controversial Concepts of Dissociation. Help Crowdfund RF on Patreon https://www.patreon.com/renegadefiles Get cool RF Merch https://www.bonfire.com/store/renegade-files/Visit and Share the Website http://therenegadefiles.comDig us on YouTube https://www.youtube.com/@renegadefiles  Follow RF on Instagram https://www.instagram.com/renegadefiles/  Get Help Now—Emergency Mental Health Resources If you like the show, please leave us a 5 star review on Apple Podcasts or Spotify if you think we deserve it. In this gripping second episode featuring Dr. Virinchi Sharma, the podcast delves into the complex psychological and societal issues shaping our modern world. Dr. Sharma brings his expertise to the forefront, dissecting topics that range from addiction and overstimulation to relationships and family dynamics. Through real-life examples, scientific explanations, and actionable insights, he sheds light on challenges many of us face yet rarely discuss openly. Relationships and breakups form another cornerstone of the discussion. Dr. Sharma unpacks the psychological and physiological toll of heartbreak, likening the pain to physical wounds. By examining the rise of modern-day phenomena like “situationships” and the fear of commitment, he provides valuable insights for navigating the complexities of contemporary relationships. A recurring theme is the importance of self-awareness and communication, which serve as the foundation for lasting, meaningful connections. The podcast also addresses the unique challenges faced by women throughout different stages of life, from puberty to menopause. Dr. Sharma explains how hormonal fluctuations, societal pressures, and significant life transitions impact women's mental health. He touches on issues like postpartum emotional challenges, underdiagnosed conditions like ADHD and autism in girls, and the invisible burdens mothers often carry. This segment is a poignant reminder of the need for greater awareness and support for women's mental well-being. Further, the episode explores lesser-known psychological disorders, such as Dissociative Identity Disorder and bipolar disorder, demystifying their symptoms and treatments. By sharing real-life cases and separating fact from fiction, Dr. Sharma breaks down stereotypes perpetuated by popular media. He also examines cultural beliefs, such as the supposed influence of the lunar cycle on behavior, offering a balanced perspective that merges science with tradition. This podcast episode is a comprehensive exploration of the psychological and societal challenges that define our times. From addictions and media consumption to family dynamics and health, Dr. Virinchi Sharma's insights bridge the gap between awareness and action. His balanced approach, combining real-life anecdotes with evidence-based advice, makes the content relatable and impactful. Whether you're grappling with personal issues, aiming to foster better relationships, or seeking to understand the world around you, this episode provides a roadmap for navigating life's complexities with clarity and confidence. . Drew & Garden System have a friendly conversation with Jaime Pollack, founder of An Infinite Mind and the Healing Together conference for those with dissociative disorders, their supporters, and mental health clinicians. They talk about the power of community and how finding others with DID have positively impacted their healing journey. Jaime shares pertinent information about the Healing Together conference that is held each year in Orlando, Florida, with the next one coming up on February 14th - 16th 2025! You can register now by visiting https://www.aninfinitemind.org/healing-together-conference.Jaime Pollack lives in Central Florida where she works as a district Pre-K special education resource teacher. She also works part-time as an in-home early interventionist for special needs children aged birth to three. In 2005, she was diagnosed with Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) resulting from childhood trauma. Jaime searched for support only to find there were very limited resources available. Her efforts to find support for herself led her to seek out other survivors living with the disorder. As she found others living with DID, she witnessed firsthand the challenges they shared and decided to shift her focus to help others, like herself, living with DID. Her passion to help others led to the creation of An Infinite Mind in January of 2008. Jaime spends her free time traveling with her husband, being out in nature, and snuggling her dog and 2 cats on the couch. If you enjoyed this episode please leave us a review! This week Mike speaks with Louise; the second alter from the Doug Vincent System to appear on GCC, to explain how the alters within the system have used the MBTI Personality Test to better understand themselves and their roles. In more detail, Louise starts by speaking about her “awakening” within the system, before answering some questions from you (the lovely GCC audience) about DID, including alters “switching” control over the body. Louise then provides an in-depth explanation about what the MBTI (Myers-Briggs Type Indicator) is, how it was created, what the letters actually mean and how their system utilizes it for the different alters.Mike also took the test and is a Protagonist (ENFJ-A), with the “Diplomat” role and his strategy is “People Mastery” – he explains his results in more detail and he & Louise discuss what they mean. Louise also prepared a quiz for Mike where he guesses which Star Wars and Marvel characters would have what type of MBTI personality – listen to the entire conversation to hear the results! Micah is a 23 year old female who has been diagnosed with Dissociative Identity Disorder, where she has over 100 alters (what some people might think of as personalities, though this isn't the most accurate term). Nathan, her father, is a former Pastor. Micah was diagnosed in January 2019, which began a remarkable journey of understanding and healing. I wanted to have this conversation for at least three reasons. (1) I'm curious about lots of different things, especially kinds of people and experiences that I don't know much about. DID is certainly one of those areas. I'm bringing almost nothing to this table. (2) I'm particularly curious about minority experiences—people and stories and experiences that most people don't have. (3) I think there can be a lot of fear and misunderstanding, which can lead to stigmatization, around certain psychological conditions like DID—especially with movies like Split, which we'll get into. So, I hope this raw and honest conversation will help reduce the fear, misunderstanding, and indeed the stigma surrounding Dissociative Identity Disorder and other similar experiences.  Learn more about your ad choices. Send me a DM here (it doesn't let me respond), OR email me: imagineabetterworld2020@gmail.comToday I'm honored to introduce you all to: Child sex trafficking, mind control and Satanic and Masonic ritual abuse survivor and whistleblower, devoted and loving husband, man of God, and an absolute inspiration: David, and his incredible wife and unsung hero: Carol! A little bit about David if you missed his interview on 50 Voices of Ritual Abuse: David was born into a multi-generational satanic family and from the time he was born, his life was dedicated to the cult where they spent years shattering his mind through trauma-based mind control, SRA, and other organized and sophisticated organized abuse methods. At the age of 3, David was already being forced to partake in rituals and soon after, he began being trafficked by the Freemasons and was sex trafficked to different countries, in underground tunnels, and even at the Vatican. David was eventually taken to the Tavistock Institute where part of him was programmed to be used to transfer information to places like the Vatican. In addition to being used as a sex slave and a courier, David was also programmed for the New World Order (like many other survivors on this podcast), and remembers being forced to attend adrenochrome parties and human hunting events. In 2014, David began disclosing to his wife, Carol, that he remembers being sexually abused as a child. And then in 2021, a divine intervention occurred which led Carol and David to stumble on and discover some new terminology which led them to discover that David had Dissociative Identity Disorder and that he was a satanic ritual abuse survivor. Although David's testimony is harrowing, horrifying and gut-wrenching, his life on the other side of healing is not. Working together, David and Carol have worked tirelessly on integrating his identities and dismantling his programming. Some topics that David and Carol will be discussing on today's episode are rituals and programming, how programming affects faith in God and the Bible, how different identities are created, the importance of integrating identities, cult targeting and accessing, the crazy reality that the cult even go so far as to access a non-cult spouse/partner of a survivor - and that the survivor may be expected to sacrifice their non cult partner… and so much more. Through David's testimony, you will find yourself marveling in awe at the incredible miracle it is that he is seated in front of us today after what he went through and overcame. David is a living testament of how the darkness has no choice but to cower in the face of light and it's a great honor we get to hear him speak today. A man is laying face first, unconscious in his living room. Alyssa and Vanessa are standing over him. Alyssa reaches for the zip ties and binds his ankles together, three zip ties thick. Vanessa on the other hand is terrified. She's screaming in her head to ‘STOP! This needs to stop! It's taking things too far!' But the words won't come out; the only thing she can do is wait for a moment when Alyssa looks away—then Vanessa dives for the scissors. She cuts the zip ties off his ankles. “NO!” Alyssa forces Vanessa aside and reties his ankles and his wrists. Vanessa lost her chance. She can only watch helplessly as Alyssa yields a massive hunting knife and sends it plunging into the man's neck. Then she begins sawing—back and forth. They watch the blood soak into the carpet.
