This funny news show starts with Valentine's Day confusion and quickly spirals into a full-on identity crisis. Rizz is possibly spending Valentine's Day alone, possibly with DJ Pauly D, definitely not wearing pants—and that's just the beginning. From not knowing zodiac signs (but somehow surviving marriage) to realizing that birthdays close to Valentine's Day are a strategic advantage, the crew kicks things off with peak relationship chaos. Then comes the house rating heard 'round St. Louis. Rafe's new place gets evaluated like a Zillow listing with emotional baggage, complete with debates over shoveling etiquette, floating stairs, blind dogs, and the slowest move-in process known to man. Somehow, this leads to lunch, which turns into a bit, which turns into strangers questioning reality as Rafe pretends to be a superfan in public. Normal stuff. From there, the show leans hard into the realization that everyone is officially old now. Grocery stores are playing bangers. Bars are confusing. Costco is no longer a chore—it's an experience. Socks slap. Grapes are elite. Clothes are “not that bad.” And the biggest shock of all? Costco and Nike teaming up to release Kirkland Dunks that immediately resell for stupid money. The dads are not okay. The episode wraps with minivan supremacy, sneaker generational debates, knowing where the nearest hospital is at all times, and the quiet acceptance that this daily comedy show is now powered by dad logic, utility vehicles, and bulk pricing. Laugh through the pain—it's cheaper than therapy.Follow The Rizzuto Show → https://linktr.ee/rizzshow Connect with The Rizzuto Show Comedy Podcast → https://1057thepoint.com/RizzShow Hear The Rizz Show daily on the radio at 105.7 The Point | Hubbard Radio in St. Louis, MO.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Affordability is not an abstract debate for American families—it's the defining issue of daily life. Grocery bills, housing costs, energy prices, healthcare, and childcare all shape whether families feel secure or stretched.Families don't become pessimistic out of nowhere. Confidence erodes when planning for the future feels harder, margins feel thinner, and basic economics no longer seem to work in their favor.Meanwhile, leaders on both sides of the aisle are increasingly pointing the finger at free-market capitalism for nearly everything—high prices, inequality, corporate power, even government debt. But what's often labeled “capitalism” today is really a mix of subsidies, bailouts, protectionism, regulatory micromanagement, and monetary manipulation—policies that distort markets rather than allow them to function.True free markets are not chaos or greed. They are a rules-based system built on voluntary exchange, price signals, competition, and accountability. When people are free to trade, build, innovate, and respond to real prices, costs fall and opportunity expands—giving families the freedom to flourish. In today's episode of This Week's Economy, we explore how free-market capitalism supports families, restores dignity through work, and lowers prices to make life more affordable. We'll also examine how these principles apply at the federal, state, and local levels. Chad and Laura Wonsik are with me to talk Dan Fogelberg's 1980 quietly devastating holiday classic “Same Old Lang Syne”! It's definitely a Christmas song that sneaks up on you with feelings.Set on a snowy Christmas Eve, the autobiographical song tells the story of a chance encounter between old lovers in a grocery store. There's small talk, six-packs, and a late-night bar confession where life didn't quite turn out the way either of them planned. They toast “the innocence we lost,” share one last connection, and then drift back into their separate lives without a Hallmark-esque ending.Musically, it's deceptively simple. The verses move gently through familiar I–vi–V chords, giving the story a conversational, almost spoken feel. Then the refrain shifts to vi–IV–V, lifting just enough to underline the emotional weight without ever becoming sentimental. It's soft rock storytelling at its finest: restrained, adult, and painfully human.Grocery store meet-cute? Check. Beer-fueled confession? Yep. Emotional gut punch disguised as background music? Absolutely. So grab your winter coat, hum along quietly, and relive one of the most honest Christmas songs ever written with this episode on Dan Fogelberg's “Same Old Lang Syne.”Give us a buzz! Lessons Learning from My First Jobs - Grocery Store Bagger. This is episode 812 of Teaching Learning Leading K12, an audio podcast. Did you have a job or two before you entered your career field? Maybe you started in high school and then college before finally entering the path that you were ultimately focused on achieving. Just to be clear, when I say a job, I do mean working for someone other than your father or parent or guardian. Actually, having a boss and getting an official paycheck - you know one where taxes are removed from your gross pay? My first job that fits this description was grocery store bagger for a local branch of Pantry Pride. A fairly large store that was just about everywhere in Florida during the 70s and 80s.  In this role I bagged groceries and offered to help you take them to your car. That was my main purpose, but the role had many other requirements. Some of them included - spot mopping, straightening aisles and restocking shelves, retrieving shopping carts from the park lot, and assisting customers. It was a great learning experience. I had a great boss and several co-workers that made time spent fun. While I was a grocery bagger, I learned several skills and lessons that have been impactful to this day. During this reflection I will share those skills that have remained with me all these years. This episode is the first in a multiple part series that looks at these early jobs and what stayed with me as I moved forward in my adult life. Did you have a first job that created lessons that impact you and your job today? What were those lifelong lessons? It would be great if you shared those lessons with me. If you go to my website there is a box that lets you contact me. There also is a place that you could leave me a voice message. Thanks for listening. Please share.  All the best! Winter Storm Fern is headed straight for St. Louis, and this daily comedy show proves once again that snow doesn't ruin cities — people do. As temperatures plunge and forecasts bounce between “maybe” and “we have no idea,” the Rizzuto Show breaks down how quickly society collapses when eggs, bread, and ground turkey disappear from shelves. From grocery store Thunderdomes and the unspoken moral obligation to help bag groceries, to the sheer chaos caused by long wallets and checks at checkout, this episode is a masterclass in winter-induced rage. Lines are down the aisles, cashiers are fighting for their lives, and Riz officially declares that refusing to help bag groceries during snow panic makes you public enemy number one. But that's just the beginning. This daily comedy show also dives into relationship limbo when someone writes in about dating a great guy who refuses to make a move. Is he shy? Nervous? Playing it cool? Or just happy with a peck on the lips and a friendship? The crew debates communication, honesty, and why sometimes you just need to say something… or answer the door naked. Then things get extra weird at the office. A guy gets accused of creating a “hostile work environment” by being too professional with female coworkers. Is he smart? Awkward? Playing it safe? Or just avoiding HR like a seasoned veteran? The discussion turns into a real look at modern workplace boundaries, misinterpretation, and why nobody feels like they can win anymore. And if that's not enough chaos, we cap it off with a wild story about a 14-year-old returning home with a full sleeve tattoo — courtesy of Cool Mom — leading to arrests, legal trouble, and one extremely popular middle schooler. Toss in horrifying tattoo regret stories, Spectrum internet panic, flamethrower snow removal ideas, and soup optimism, and you've got the perfect storm of midwest humor. This daily comedy show delivers relatable rage, weird news, and nonstop laughs — exactly what you need when you're snowed in, stuck in line, or watching someone pull out a checkbook in 2026.
