During a recent parliamentary session, MP Liang Eng Hwa shared that he felt “very troubled” to see tuition centre staff members distributing flyers to parents outside a primary school in his constituency on the first day of school earlier this year. In response to that, the Ministry of Education says it is currently studying how to discourage tuition centres from using undesirable advertising practices. While many parents in Singapore spend a significant amount of money on sending their children to tuition classes, how critical or effective is tutoring? And are tuition centres playing to parents’ fear of missing out? Deputy Prime Minister Heng Swee Keat once said, ‘every school is a good school.” Yet, Prime Minister Lawrence Wong himself noted during his first National Day Rally speech in August that not everyone is convinced when MOE says 'every school is a good school'. He pointed out that Singaporeans will have their own preferences and considerations for their school choices, and 'it will not be possible to convince everyone'. But what is the argument for choosing to go to a good or legacy school? Does going to a so-called 'not good' school close doors to opportunities? Who does it matter to: parents, tutors or children? And is it time we retire this notion once and for all? Despite English being his second language, he, like many technical founders, found direct sales and marketing daunting. However, he discovered that engaging with his audience through LinkedIn comments was a passive yet effective approach. Actively participating in discussions and interacting with comments led to one-on-one InMail conversations, often progressing to Discovery Calls and acquiring new customers (the Commenting for Attention Strategy).[5:00] - When establishing a personal brand on social media, similar to not everyone being suited to public speaking, not everyone can be equally active and visible through writing and creating videos. Generative AI for Sales Prospecting is an uncharted territory for many. Sure, it sounds like a tech buzzword that's been thrown around lately... But when it comes to implementing Generative AI in your sales strategy... Most are at a loss when it comes to incorporating Generative AI into their sales tactics. Utilizing Generative AI in your sales strategy could be the key to unlocking success. But if you don't understand how to harness its power effectively, you might as well be throwing darts blindfolded. The Role of Engage AI in Enhancing LinkedIn Engagement Let's dive into the world of artificial intelligence, where Jason Tan's company, Engage AI, is making waves. This innovative tool addresses a common challenge - maintaining regular interaction with prospects and clients on LinkedIn. Overcoming Writer's Block with Engage AI We've all been there; staring at an empty screen, struggling to craft compelling prospect outreach messages. No more. With its embedded generative AI technology designed for sales professionals like you, writer's block becomes a thing of the past when writing sales content or repurposing existing ones. A Comprehensive Outreach Strategy Facilitated by Engage AI Calls? Check. Emails? Absolutely. Videos Messages? You betcha. Texts too? Yes indeed. This comprehensive approach makes it easier than ever before to engage your audience through multiple channels. And guess what? You don't have to be a seasoned Sales Operations Manager or tech guru. No matter if you're just beginning your AI journey, Engaging AI has the resources to get you started. Now that we've explored how this powerful tool can change sales as Prabhakant Sinha envisioned, let us delve deeper into understanding Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) in our next section. Stay tuned. Understanding Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) Exploring the distinction between generative AI and other types of AI, let's delve into the details. Generative AI, like DeepAI explains, is a branch of artificial intelligence that uses statistical models to generate new data similar to the input it receives. It's not your everyday chat GPT or Google Bard. Difference Between Generative AI & Other Forms The key differentiator? Its ability to create. This embedded generative ai technology designed for creativity can do more than just respond; it generates entirely new content based on patterns learned from existing information. Think writing sales content with an artistic twist. A Recent AI Survey - A Quick Look indicates how businesses are increasingly leveraging this tech innovation. Moving Beyond The Basics With Machine Learning While machine learning provides algorithms that learn from data inputs, generative ai tools run deeper by generating recommendations akin to human-like brainstorming. The Role Of Human Intelligence In Using These Technologies Let me be clear: these technologies aren't replacing us anytime soon. Instead, they're here as our digital assistants. The real magic happens when we combine them with human ingenuity - creating powerful synergies for problem-solving and idea generation. For instance, imagine launching Viva Sales a tool incorporating this cutting-edge techa into your business operations. As a sales operations manager or even someone who teaches sales executives regularly you could use such advanced tools effectively. From repurposing existing sales content into engaging prospect outreach messages without breaking a sweat to customizing scoring criteria using HubSpot's predictive lead scoring software the possibilities seem endless. Remember though an artificial intelligence learning path requires patience and persistence. So keep exploring because change is inevitable in fact it might even change 'sales' prabhakant sinha style someday. Now isn't that something worth looking forward too?   Key Takeaway:  Generative AI, unlike everyday chatbots, uses statistical models to generate new data based on existing information. Businesses are increasingly leveraging this technology for creativity and problem-solving. While these tools can generate recommendations, they are meant to assist humans rather than replace them. Combining generative AI with human ingenuity creates powerful synergies for sales prospecting and idea generation. So keep exploring because change is inevitable - it might even revolutionize the way we do sales someday. With the help of generative artificial intelligence tools like Lavender, sales teams can now streamline their prospecting efforts and increase their chances of success. Strategies For Effective Digital Sales Prospecting Leveraging generative artificial intelligence for prospecting is a game-changer in the sales world. Generative AI tools run, analyzing and repurposing existing sales content to create personalized outreach messages that resonate with your target audience. Leveraging Generative Artificial Intelligence For Prospecting The modern HubSpot's predictive lead scoring software, an embedded generative AI technology designed specifically for this purpose, can change sales prospects' engagement dramatically. This tool uses machine learning algorithms and custom scoring criteria to rank leads based on their likelihood of becoming customers. Sales operations managers find it easier than ever before to access key sales data thanks to these advancements in technology. A recent AI survey showed businesses using such systems experienced significant improvements in efficiency and conversion rates. Besides improving productivity, they also help teach new skills by offering an artificial intelligence learning path tailored towards each individual's needs. Balancing Automation And Personalization On Platforms Like Linkedin To truly harness the power of platforms like LinkedIn, we must strike a balance between automation and personalization when commenting or engaging with posts. This is where writing prospect outreach content becomes crucially important. Using pre-written templates or automated responses might seem efficient but often lacks genuine human touch needed for building relationships. Change Sales Prabhakant Sinha, one of the pioneers who teaches sales executives how leveraging tech can enhance results emphasizes this point strongly. While having unique selling points (USPs) are essential; knowing how you're different from competitors isn't enough anymore - being able to communicate those differences effectively through well-crafted prospect outreach messages sets successful brands apart from others. So next time you write a message remember: Be real. Show empathy. Make connections. Exploring Fly Message As A Text Expander And Engagement Insight Tool In the world of sales, every second counts. Fly Message is a game-changer in this arena, serving as an effective text expander and engagement insight tool. Achieving Better Results With Fly Message The primary goal for any sales team is to drive revenue growth. To achieve this, they need access to key sales data and tools that can streamline their processes. This is where artificial intelligence can help to produce results. FAQs in Relation to Generative Ai for Sales Prospecting What is generative AI in sales forecasting? Generative AI in sales forecasting leverages machine learning to generate predictive models, providing insights into future customer behavior and market trends, thus enhancing strategic decision-making. How does generative AI affect sales? Generative AI impacts sales by automating prospecting tasks, personalizing outreach strategies, improving writing efficiency and offering predictive analytics. This leads to increased engagement rates and revenue growth. How can generative AI help in marketing? Conclusion It's the future of sales. It breaks down barriers, enhancing LinkedIn engagement and transforming how we connect with prospects. This technology doesn't replace human intelligence but complements it, creating a powerful synergy that drives success in the digital world. Tools like Grammarly and Lavender aren't just about correcting grammar; they're about improving understanding within teams to attract enterprise deals. Closing the loop on the recent discussion of vulnerability on the Love in Action podcast, Marcel Schwantes reflects on past interviews. Marcel quotes past guests and business leaders to prove why Vulnerability is not a weakness but instead a strength and a realistic approach to the reality of life and business. Highlights“Some welcome it [vulnerability] as an emotional leadership strength to build trust and connect with people, while others see it as a weakness and they reject it as a leadership practice deemed as too emotional, too touchy-feely for people in positions of power.” [1:10] Which is it? Marcel begs the question: is vulnerability a strength or a weakness?  “In my study, observations, and interviews of leaders, I have found that when leaders model vulnerability, whether it's by admitting blind spots or truly listening to the views of others, it creates a culture where everyone feels empowered to bring ideas forward that will grow the business.” [1:50] Over the course of Marcel's research he has discovered the importance and powerful impact leaders with vulnerability have.  "Our jobs make up a large portion of our lives, and to turn off your emotions for eight hours every day invites emotional disconnectedness in all aspects of life, and undermines self-confidence” [2:48] Marcel quotes Jason Tan, CEO of Sift, on why he finds Vulnerability to be not only an important part of leadership but an important part of life.  “I asked Amy Edmondson to define vulnerability in her own terms, as the word has undesirable connotations. She says ‘To me, vulnerability is a simple statement of fact; If you are a vulnerable leader, you are simply willing to acknowledge reality.'” [3:50] In episode 87, linked in the show notes, Marcel interviewed Amy Edmonson and Dr. Tomas Chamorro-Premuzic, two of the foremost organizational psychologists of our time. Marcel quotes Amy in her striking statement equating vulnerable leadership to recognizing reality.Mentioned in this episode:Marcel Schwantes | Professional Profile | LinkedInMarcel SchwantesLove in Action: Vulnerability, Not Bravado with Dr. Tomas Chamorro-Premuzic and Amy Edmondson on Apple PodcastsJason Tan - San Francisco, California, United States | Professional Profile | LinkedInSiftDr. Tomas Chamorro-Premuzic - Chief Innovation Officer - ManpowerGroup | LinkedInAmy Edmondson - Novartis Professor of Leadership and Management - Harvard Business School | LinkedIn

LinkedIn changed my life. Maybe I'm being overdramatic, but I don't think so. A lot of my thanks goes to LinkedIn for how far I've made it in my data analytics career and business. In This Special Episode This week, I'm bringing you a quick solo episode, the 2nd solo episode of 2022 from The Analytics Show Podcast. Through LinkedIn, I've secured a spot as a thought leader in the industry and have been recognised by DSC, Google, and more. Through LinkedIn, I've been able to meet amazing people who have helped me reach my goals - and I've helped many others in turn. Through LinkedIn, I'm part of this great community! But I'm not going to hide how I did it as if it's some big trade secret. With enough dedication and drive, you can use LinkedIn to its full potential too. If it worked for me, it can work for you too. The Data Science Train Data Science is one of the most promising fields of today and the future. But this isn't some well-kept secret. A lot of people know, and a lot of people are boarding the train with the intention of riding it all the way up. That means competition is heavy. Pushing through the full train cars in hopes of reaching the first one is no easy feat. In other words, like any career, it can be difficult to rise the ranks and achieve the true success you dream of. To stand out in that constantly moving crowd, you need to be different. LinkedIn, Reach, and Networking In this exclusive analytics podcast episode, I share: Why LinkedIn is the best platform for building your data science career How LinkedIn increases your reach and visibility in your industry Why LinkedIn is the perfect place to network Staying in front of your audience by posting content consistently Engaging with your audience and starting conversations Giving back to your supporters Reaching out through private messages If you're looking to build your current or future data science career on LinkedIn through networking and content creation, this is the episode you shouldn't miss. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/analyticsshow/message

What professions will be most impacted by AI? How can we ensure we are using AI to solve meaningful problems? Are companies prepared for the ongoing digital transformation? In this episode of IBM thinkLeaders podcast, we are joined by guests Jason Tan (co-founder & CEO of Sift) & Karina Grosheva (founder & CEO of TaQadam. We talk to Jason and Karina about making sure humans are in the loop, adding greater diversity in the data, and the importance of AI literacy. “[A]s a buyer of software, I think it's important to educate yourself and understand the nuances of the different types of machine learning, the different qualities of machine learning, and make sure that you're trying to solve a problem in a meaningful way rather than having a hammer where everything looks like a nail.” -Jason Tan, co-founder & CEO of Sift “[T]he idea that we bring more diversity into the data and training the data is where we need to be investing in.” -Karina Grosheva, founder & CEO of TaQadam Connect with us @IBMthinkLeaders & the guests at: @GetSift @JasonTan @MovetheGlobe @taqadamprogress

Selena Templeton chats Jason Tan, co-founder and CEO of Sift Science, a machine learning fraud and abuse prevention company. Starting with an overview of machine learning and how it differs from artificial intelligence, Jason discusses the best fields where ML can be used and the limitations of ML, particularly when it comes to detecting and preventing fraud. He also touches on how fraud prevention used to work versus how the folks at Sift Science have improved upon it by using ML to accurately predict and defend against fraud in real time. When it comes to Natural Language Processing (NLP) — breaking sentences and words into chunks and trying to build a statistical model of the human language to develop a deeper understanding – we’re entering an interesting time in which the Turing Test will be more important than ever: * What happens when exclusively AI-written content reads exactly like human-written content? * What are the consequences such as verifying the veracity of this content and determining how trustworthy this “writer” is? * Should we be nervous that we can’t (or soon won’t be able to) differentiate between human and machine? We also (of course!) talk about unconscious bias and how to prevent it from being baked right into the technology that we’re creating.

Welcome to the 53rd installment of the Caixin-Sinica Business Brief, a weekly podcast that brings you the most important business stories of the week from China's top source for business and financial news. Produced by Kaiser Kuo of our Sinica Podcast, it features a business news roundup, plus conversations with Caixin reporters and editors. This week: We find out how, in a surprising reversal, smartphone maker Xiaomi said over the weekend there is no timetable for its mainland share offering, and that it will first complete its listing in Hong Kong. We learn that China's big three national wireless carriers are scrapping domestic data-roaming fees. We note that China's bike-sharing market is expected to shift into a slower lane this year. We explore JD.com's deal with Google under which the U.S. search giant will invest $550 million in China's second-largest ecommerce company, furthering both firms' international expansion ambitions. We discuss the debt-ridden Chinese financial conglomerate Anbang Insurance Group, previously controlled by once high-flying tycoon Wu Xiaohui 吴小晖, which is now nearly entirely owned by a state-run insurance bailout fund that injected almost $10 billion into the company earlier this year. We discover that China and Nepal have signed an agreement to develop a cross-border railway and the improvement of road links between the two countries. We hear that China has paid its final $580 million tranche to Sri Lanka as part of a deal that gives Beijing control over the strategic Hambantota deepwater port. We analyze how at least 25 senior officials overseeing China's prison system have fallen from grace over abuse of power linked to commutations. In addition, we talk with Jason Tan, a business reporter at Caixin Global, about the many recent developments with Chinese telecom giant Huawei. We also chat with Coco Feng, also a business reporter at Caixin Global, about sports lotteries in China. We'd love to hear your feedback on this product. DONG HYUN KIM TO FACE TJ GRANT ON JULY 11TH                   Las Vegas NV (USA) -- A dislocated shoulder, suffered in training, has forced welterweight standout Jonathan Goulet to withdraw from his bout against Dong Hyun Kim on the preliminary card of UFC® 100 on July 11th. But Canada will still be represented in the bout, as Nova Scotia’s TJ Grant will step in to face Kim at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.   A purple belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Grant made quite an impression in his UFC debut in April, as he pounded out an impressive three round split decision win over seasoned competitor Ryo Chonan. Now 14-2 as a pro, the 25-year old Grant is eager to move further up the welterweight ranks by scoring a victory over the talented Kim.   Dong Hyun Kim is a hero back home in his native South Korea, and the unbeaten (11-0-1, 1 NC) “Stun Gun” is rapidly building a United States fanbase as well after wins over Jason Tan and Matt Brown. A fourth degree black belt in judo, Kim hopes to keep the “0” at the end of his record on July 11th.
