This is a little reward after working so hard in this meditation challenge! Let me put you to sleep ! This is a yoga nidra with affirmations to feel safe, calm, loved, peaceful, and grateful. Practice this laying down on a comfortable foundation, in your bed, and make yourself as comfortable as possible. You will be invited to repeat affirmations as the body relaxes and mind becomes calm. DAY TWENTY April Mindful Minutes challenge:YOGA NIDRA FOR SLEEPIn today's episode I'll guide you into a Yoga Nidra state of mind, which is yogic sleep. The intention of this type of meditation is for your body to be as still as possible, lying down comfortably, and mind awake and aware, listening to a body scan and pauses to repeat your affirmation. AND, you may choose to listen to this meditation before a nap or a good night's sleep. YOGA NIDRA SETUPLay downCreate this time and space to be undisturbed or uninterrupted to allow the mind to enter the Yoga Nidra state of mind (eg. theta or delta brain waves)Make your room as dark and quiet as possibleIf you are not practicing this in bed to go to sleep for the night, consider setting an alarm because this meditation ends in silence. CHECK-IN: Before and after each practice I will invite you to check in and rate your stress level from 0 - 5. Note if the number changed after your meditation.0 = low5 = highEnjoy!
