Why it was selected for "CBNation Architects": In this episode of the CEO Podcasts, host Gresham Harkless interviews Lara Heimann, an international yoga pioneer, and physical therapist who has redefined the modern practice of yoga through her comprehensive LYT Method. Lara emphasizes smart alignment, functional movement, and spiritual wellness in her practice and offers online daily classes and robust online yoga teacher training, in addition to leading in-person workshops, training, and masterclasses internationally. Lara discusses her journey to entrepreneurship, which began with her passion for identifying a gap in the teaching of yoga and wanting to spread good movement knowledge. She started teacher training and eventually created her own method based on a physical therapy background. Her success is measured by the number of people she has been able to empower with her message and the positive feedback she receives from them. During the interview, Lara shares her CEO hack, which is taking care of herself and emphasizing daily habits and lifestyle. She also shares her CEO nugget, which is believing in oneself and accepting that not everybody will agree with you. Especially being a "people pleaser" and how that can affect hiring and how she put her heart into it. Lara defines being a CEO as being a leader and the brain of the business.   Overall, the podcast provides insights into Lara's LYT Method and offers valuable advice for entrepreneurs and business owners looking to build a community and serve their clients with white-glove customer service. Leslie is a Yoga Teacher and has also completed her certification in Yoga for Mental Health with Optimal State. She has made it her life mission to share her journey from depression, hopelessness, helplessness & mental health difficulties to the woman she has become. She has been able to transform her own nervous system, mental patterns and lifestyle habits into ones that support and nourish her daily. It is from this place of peace that she can share her superpower of helping others to take a similar journey towards more contentment and joy in life. Leslie discovered yoga as a mother of 2 toddlers many years ago, and it has become the North Star, her dharma/ life-purpose.·     We begin with Leslie's story and how she came to know and understand that yoga could change the trajectory of her life.·     We discuss yoga philosophy and the goal of yoga, which is to come into tune with our Self, to perceive ourselves and the world differently and then to find the tools and technologies that will bring us back into a more balanced state.·     The wonder of yoga, it can be free, you can take it with you anywhere you go, it is an internal resource and the more you use the tools, the better you feel!·     We discuss life trajectory changes and how it only takes tiny little shifts to see big changes in behaviors over time. ·     How extraordinary is it to wake up knowing that a daily practice (even 10-minutes in bed) can help you to feel more steady, grounded, and peaceful throughout the day.·     How anyone can take up yoga practice to find more self-empowerment and we don't need expensive yoga pants or mats or studios.·     The importance of a daily practice, especially over time.·     How to get started with a daily practice, especially when you don't feel you have a consistent schedule, consistent place for your mat, family support or maybe you feel you are short on time each day. The Connected Yoga Teacher Podcast 319: Do I Need Another Yoga Training? with Shannon Crow   Description: It is a common trend among yoga teachers to take one yoga teacher training (YTT) program after another. But is it really necessary and when should you consider taking another YTT? Shannon Crow explores some of the main reasons yoga teachers sign up for YTTs.   There are several reasons why yoga teachers take YTTs. Continuing education is important, but for many yoga teachers, it is often a case of wanting to get more students, make more income, be offered more teaching opportunities, and deepen their expertise in a speciality. Shannon dives into why a YTT may not be the right course of action in some cases, and when it does add value. She also touches on the pyramid scheme of YTTs and some things to watch out for before signing up.   This is the perfect episode to listen to if you are considering signing up for another YTT - give this a listen and ask yourself if you really need another yoga training or if there's something else that would help you achieve the results you are looking for instead.   Key Takeaways: [2:25] It's common for yoga teachers to take many yoga trainings, but this may not be necessary! [4:44] Do you really need another yoga teacher training right now? Shannon shares a question she asked in The Connected Yoga Teacher Facebook Group. [6:15] Shannon explores the first reason people have for signing up for another YTT - to get more students in their classes or increase their income - and what you could do instead. [8:22] Another reason yoga teachers cite for taking another YTT is they want to be recognized as more of an expert or they want more teaching opportunities. [10:00] Shannon gives a shout out to sponsors, OfferingTree and Pelvic Health Professionals. [12:36] Yoga teachers often take a YTT to upgrade their skills or education to teach specific styles of yoga or a specific population. [13:27] There are also yoga teachers who sign up for YTTs for the community it offers. [13:51] What if you waited to make some profit and then use that profit to invest in your next yoga teacher training or continuing education course? [14:52] Shannon addresses something she has observed in the yoga industry - pressuring yoga teachers to "invest" in continuing education, mentorship, or coaching. [17:26] You can wait to make a profit in your yoga business first before signing up for the next course or training.   Links: Balance Flow Yoga: 7-Week Online Series with Shelly Prosko (Code: BALANCE) The Connected Yoga Teacher Podcast Episode 318: Questions to Ask Before Any YTT with Shannon Crow Yoga Teacher Training Question Facebook Thread in The Connected Yoga Teacher Facebook Group The Connected Yoga Teacher Podcast Episode 295: Make Money Teaching Yoga with Betty Welsh The Connected Yoga Teacher Podcast Episode 187: How to Choose a Yoga Teacher Training with Cecily Milne The Connected Yoga Teacher Podcast Episode 280: Get Paid as a Yoga Teacher with Shannon Simmons Email Shannon Crow Shannon Crow on Instagram The Connected Yoga Teacher Facebook Group   Gratitude to our Sponsors, OfferingTree and Pelvic Health Professionals.   Quotes from this episode: "Are your students who are signing up going to know that you took this other teacher training?"   "You could take all the training in the world. But if you're not telling people about that niche, that is not going to move the needle for you in terms of being recognized as an expert or getting more teaching opportunities."   "What would it feel like if you waited to make some profit and then use that profit to invest in your next yoga teacher training or continuing education course?"

Episode 4: Adrienne leads you through a Yoga Nidra. Yoga Nidra is a deep guided meditation. During the practice of yoga nidra consciousness fluctuates between the states of introversion and extroversion. It swings sometimes to the outside world through the senses while in others it slides into the sphere of sleep. Little by little consciousness tends to stabilize, but to achieve it fully requires a prolonged and systematic practice. Then, when the nidra state (the border between the alpha and theta waves) is reached, the mind becomes more receptive. Follow us on TikTok:https://www.tiktok.com/@yogachangedFollow us on Instagram:https://instagram.com/yogachanged?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=For more, go to https://howyogachangedmylife.com Wanna be on the show? The yoga and the counseling were starting to intersect in the areas of relaxation, breathing techniques, mediation practice, guided imagery, and the yoga poses that alleviate their symptoms of depression, anxiety, and grief. In 2005, she made the transition into teaching yoga and yoga therapy full time. Sheila has taught all over the country at various studios and locations, conducted retreats and workshops for both students and new yoga teachers. She has opened as well as managed yoga studios both in Portland, and Hood River, OR. He has taught at the British Wheel of Yoga (BWY) Congress, Association for Yoga Studies (aYs) Conventions, and many In-Service Trainings. David has been studying yoga since 1987. He also has an MA in Eastern Philosophy and a particular interest in Sanskrit, Vedic chanting, and yoga philosophy. Both Ranju and David train teachers through the organization Sādhana Mālā Yoga Training.  Amy talks with Ranju Roy and Dave Charlton about yoga tradition, what is yoga vs. yoga therapy, Patanjali's Yoga Sutra, the nature of suffering in the mind and how we can move forward with our yoga communities/ sangha. Ranju and Dave have worked together in the UK for several decades creating workshops, teacher trainings and practicing as yoga therapists. They bring a refreshing viewpoint in that they have been committed to a tradition long-term, but they each remembered the goal of yoga was to become more authentically themselves. The path has lead each of them to understand with clarity what it means to be self-directed, to observe the patterns of their own minds and to continue to show up with an open heart and discriminating mind. They talk about the following:What does it mean to be in a yoga lineage or tradition? What are the benefits of being in the TK Tradition? What does it mean to take personal responsibility for your life? How can we spiritually mature and embody our own life? The difficulties in finding a teacherHow sangha can become our spiritual pathWhat is Yoga Therapy? Is Yoga different than Yoga Therapy? Was Patanjali a yoga therapist?Isn't all yoga therapeutic in nature? What was Desikachar's take on therapy? The guṇa and therapy If you would like to receive the free infographics and handouts that correspond to each episode on the Yoga Therapy Hour Podcast, please subscribe to our segmented email list. Rodrigo was born and raised in Brazil by a free-spirited mother. From a young age, core values such as gratitude and kindness were taught to him along with a sense of curiosity and adventure due to many house moves. At 22 years-old, Rodrigo decided he wanted to learn English and see more of the world. So he moved to London! He spent 9 years there, working for a few months, saving money, then spending it all on traveling around the world for a few months... then repeat!Unfortunately during one of his adventures exploring Brazil, Rodrigo fell and damaged his spine. This accident left him paralyzed and he is now using a wheelchair. After a few hard years, he joined an organization in Sweden which helps people adapt to their own disabilities. During one of the workshops, he demonstrated some yoga movements to other people in wheelchairs to alleviate some of their pain. Little did he know, this moment would change the course of his life and would lead him to become a yoga teacher. He now helps other disabled people to reconnect with their body and heal their traumas through yoga.A story of gratitude, perseverance, but also an insightful conversation to learn and understand more about the way society treats and sees people with disabilities and what we can do to change things. If you enjoy listening to our podcast and would like to support us, check out our Buy Me a Coffee page:https://www.buymeacoffee.com/jippodcastOur website:https://justinterestingpeople.comFollow Rodrigo on Instagram:https://www.instagram.com/allihopayogaMore about Rodrigo:His website: https://www.allihopayoga.comLearn more from Yari in the Warrior Flow School 200-hour Yoga Training: https://warriorflowschool.comFollow us on Instagram:https://www.instagram.com/justinterestingpeoplehttps://www.instagram.com/rosieandre_comhttps://www.instagram.com/jeremieandre_fr

Almost 10 years ago, I knew Caitlin as a cool, surfer girl. And she still is; but what has changed is her confidence in claiming the life she wanted to create. And so she did. Cait pursued and has created an intentional, simple life in Puerto Rico and lives her choice in gratitude. She grew up surfing from age 8; and after her 21st birthday, she was drawn to the physical practice of yoga. With a little encouragement, Cait said yes to yoga teacher training in her hometown of Jacksonville Beach, Florida, and experienced yoga and surfing as a powerful partnership for her life. Today, she shares how her choices have created her life of simplicity and health and how choosing simplicity can be just as much work to cultivate as a life of complexity. Social media platforms, as well as the online growth through the pandemic, has expanded Cait's perspective to teach yoga virtually.  She has created and recorded classes for both The Salty Club App/online platform, as well as for RAD Roller's Mobility App. She is currently working on creating short pre-recorded classes available on her website, sunburntandsalty.com . Cait lives with her fiance and has attracted her parents into the lifestyle of Rincon. Her love for family, simplicity, and adventure are matched with her committed practices to live healthy, move daily and embrace being a contribution where she lives in serving others. In this conversation you'll hear:How a simple life takes practiceWhy consistency in anything is the only real road to fulfillmentWhy a physical practice of yoga, surfing, and mindful movement mattersWhy claiming gratitude every day is most importantResources:One Creative Act's Instagram: @onecreativeactMary Lyn Jenkin's Instagram: @marylynbigfishBig Fish Co.'s Instagram: @livebigfishcoBig Fish Co.'s Website: livebigfishco.com Caitlin Lawson's Instagram: @sunburntandsaltyCaitlin Lawson's website: sunburntandsalty.com
