Even though Lady Bunny is legendary for her outrageous song parodies and DJ music sets, those who follow her on social media have certainly gotten a taste of her passion for talking about politics and social movements. In fact, once you get Bunny started, just like eating, it's hard to get her to stop.Bun-Bun can't help herself when talking about:• Bernie Sanders,• Democrats,• Republicans,• Bisexual Senators Who Might As Well be Republicans,• The Peace Movement,• The Military Industrial Complex,• The Ru Girl Industrial Complex,• Universal Healthcare,• The Economy,• Loose Fitting Gowns,• Student Loans,And how the divas of today don't hold a candle to the great singers of yesteryear, except for Jennifer Hudson, who people just don't appreciate enough.Sixteen years ago on Feast of Fun, Bunny was one of our first guests on the podcast and it's been a thrill over the years as she returns time and time again to crack us up with stories of being a baby drag queen with RuPaul, founding Wigstock and her love of the peen. But just like everyone else, Bunny is now holding her breath over her concerns over the Coronavirus.LADY BUNNY: http://www.ladybunny.netToday Lady Bunny joins us to take a look back at 16 years of being a guest on Feast of Fun and her own roller coaster ride of fame, fortune and fanatics.

Please support our sponsor by visiting https://panaceafinancial.com/] Listener Jenna got into Carver College of Medicine! But she's worried–should she go to a new place to study medicine instead, or should she stay in comfy, cozy Iowa City where she's been the last few years? Sit tight, Jenna, because M1 Lola Lozano (Texas), M1 Albert Pedroza (Nebraska), MD/PhD student Aline Sandouk (lots of places) and M1 Nicole Hines (Iowa) are here to look at the options with you! Bun Bun writes in to complain about what they saw as our unfair treatment of Ivy League schools…although, if they'd listened verrrrry carefully, they'd see that's not something we actually did. Dave loses his cool about the pandemic complainers. Yes, it's frustrating to have to stay home and avoid family over the holidays. But this is war. And yet…he immediately proves the point by forgetting you can't play the Whisper Challenge without a mask on. So the crew braces themselves against the disappointment–damn you, COVID!–and soldier on. Back in the 16-bit era, urban streets were littered with no-good punks who would attack in wave after wave, leaving a group of musclebound heroes no choice but to keep on punching — and hope there is a whole roast chicken hidden in a garbage can somewhere. This episode is a celebration of those gritty city environments, the music heard in them and the music from other genres of game that nonetheless get at this same vibe. On this weeks show, we had the return of the infamous "Bang Gang", including our favorite friends Sunay, Tate, and Alexis. Leo also had a record long "Leo's Story of the Week" but mainly because he left mid way through but that doesn't count. Sunay's racist friend was also discussed in the podcast as being a possible future guest which then led onto a long discussion about buying Sunay a Turban because why not. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app

Key links & critical information: Get your official Counting Countries apparel Listen with Spotify We’re on Amazon Alexa More about Trek With Taylor Born in: Tuscaloosa, Alabama Passports from: 2 US Passports Favorite travel book: Eat Pray Love, I guess? I don’t tend to read a ton of travel books. Favorite travel film: Honestly? The Lizzie McGuire Movie or The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. Those both probably sound so trivial or childish but from a young age they really inspired me to want to get to Europe and see the places in those movies. And, I am happy to say, I have now been to Rome (multiple times) and finally made it to Greece! I think it was so influential at a young age to be able to see to see other young women traveling around the world. Must carry: My retainer and a small stuffed animal (named Bun Bun). Also, definitely need my phone. Favorite app: Google flights for planning. Google sheets for organization. Favorite food: Pizza. Or anything involving cheese really. Favorite drink: Sprite, but I try to drink as much water as possible while traveling. Favorite airline: Norwegian! I love their cheap flights linking the US and Europe. Definitely my favorite low cost carrier. As far as the big name airlines go I would say American Airlines because two of my grandparents worked for and retired from American. Favorite hotel: East Winds in Saint Lucia! It was one of the first stops on my trip and it will be very hard to ever beat. It was so beautiful and I have never been so pampered in my life. Capcom gave us a generation of NES games inspired by Disney’s animated series but set these games to soundtracks that were wholly original. Sure, games like DuckTales and Rescue Rangers also have 8-bit versions of the show theme songs, but the rest of the music is awesome all on its own. This episode is all about that classic Capcom platformer sound, as it was defined by greats such as Hiroshige Tonomura, Harumi Fujita, Minae Fujii, and Yasuaki Fujita. She looks like Dusty Springfield, sounds like Carol Channing and speaks like Bernie Sanders- it’s Lady Bunny– the queen who comes with no trigger warning because if you’re not already shooketh, you’re not paying attention.Lately, Bun-Bun feels like the world’s too negative on social media and that it’s too easy to get down in the dumps in this political climate, so sometimes you just gotta find yourself a good blunt, put on some good music and start your day right.Today, the wildly righteous Lady Bunny joins us to talk about the RuPaul’s Drag Race Snatch Game question about her, the changing nature of gay neighborhoods and how to pick up a hot man while in drag.Plus,➤ Is Jaden Smith putting on women’s clothes for a little publici-she?➤ The wild world of Sploshing.➤ A new study says kids should be eating their boogers.➤ A man wants to show a jury his dong to prove that his girlfriend choked to death on it. You‘re my sister!" I said."So?" she said."Never mind," I sid, and went outside.Maybe I could bring an ant farm. No, ants are too yucky.Maybe I could collect different leaves. No, too much work.I called my friends.Timothy was bringing his tarantula.Tiger was bringing his long-haired hamster named Thundercloud.Henrietta was bringing her dog, Fluffy.Gator was bringing his stamp collecton.Malcom was bringing his snake.Bun Bun was bringing her doll collection.I didn‘t know what to bring.I went to the stream to find some worms for fishing.I was looking around when a big bullfrog hopped out of the stream right into my coffee can for worms!Wow, that‘s great, I thought.I put the lid on the can and took the bullfrog home.Dad found an old aquarium. We fixed it up for my frog.We put him in, but before we got th lid on, he jumped out right across the room into the coffee can on the floor."Wow," said Dad. "He likes that can!"We tried again and he did the same thing over and over again."You&`&ve got a special show and share," said Mom.I named him Leaping Lizard.I told my friends about Leaping Lizard but they didn’t believe me.After school, I showed them and they were amazed.I made a poster all about bullfrogs.I got pictures off the Internet. The night before show and share, I pasted everything down.Leaping Lizard sat in his coffee can watching me.He really liked that can!I went to bed so excited about the next day.Morning came and I jumped out of bed, got dressed, and ate breakfast. All the parents were driving their kids to school that day.I went to get my frog.He was gone! Oh, no!I forgot to put the top on his aquarium.I ran to the coffee can. No frog."Mom!" I screamed. "Leaping Lizard is missing!"We looked everywere.I was already late for school.Mom said, "Take your poster to share. I‘ll give you a note for the teacher. I’m sure I wil find your frog."We went to school. I was so upset.Everyone took turns showing and sharing. When it was my turn, I thought I would be sick.Suddenly, Mom came into the room with the aquarium, the coffee can, and my frog."I found him!" she said.I took my turn.Everyone was amazed.Leaping Lizard jumped into the can every time. When it was all over, I got the "Most Interesting" ribbon.Malcome was mad because he thought his snake should win.Timothy got "Most Scary." Henrietta&`&s dog got "Most Fluffy."Actually, everyone got a ribbon. It was the best show and share ever!
It snowed and snowed all night long, so today we had a snow day. Hooray!I wanted to build a snowman. I put on my snow boots and my hat and my mittens and my scarf. Then, I helped Little Sister put on her snow stuff. After that, Dad needed my help. We shoveled and shoveled lots of snow...... and then we had to find the car.I was going to build a snowman next, but Little Sister wanted to have a snowball fight. I let her hit me a bunch of times.I only hit her one time by accident. So then, I had to say I was sorry and give her a big hug.I was going to build a snowman after that, but Tiger and Bun Bun wanted to go ice-skating.So, I showed everyone how I can skate backwards...... and do jumps. Then Tiger and I raced. It was a tie.I was ready to build a snowman next, but Maurice and Molly wanted to go sledding.I steered all the way down the big hill. Watch out, Maurice and Molly, here we come! When Little Sister and I got home, I was going to build a snowman. But Gator wanted me to help him build a snow fort. And then Gabby wanted to make snow angels. Finally! It was time to build a snowman.First, we made a big snowball for the bottom.Next, we put a smaller one on top...... and an even smaller one on top of that one.Little Sister added prunes for his eyes and mouth, and a carrot for his nose. And I put Mom's scarf around his neck and Dad's hat on his head.I even let him wear my sunglasses. Our snowman sure looked great!Little Sister was getting cold so we went inside. The snowman looked cold, too, so I decided to make some of my special hot chocolate to warm us all up.First, Mom heated some milk while I got out the secret ingredients.I put everything into the pot and stirred it all up with a big spoon. Then I put marshmallows on top and I poured the hot chocolate into three big mugs--one for me, one for Little Sister... ... and one for the snowman. It was the best snow day ever.I sure hope it snows again tomorrow!
Enjoy.
