See all the Healthcasts at https://www.biobalancehealth.com/healthcast-blog Are you menopausal and have any of the following symptoms? Hot Flashes Night Sweats Dry Vagina Painful intercourse Dry skin Lack of sex drive Lack of motivation Fatigue Depression and or anxiety Change in body composition, with fat collection in the abdomen Loss of Muscle Mass and strength Irritability Inability to remember names and places Decreased ability to problem solve Insomnia Arthritis Body pain These are all symptoms we currently are aware of associated with menopause and low testosterone. These symptoms can be treated and reversed with bioidentical estradiol and testosterone pellets. Menopause should be treated like an illness that is universal but more severe in some women compared with others. If your symptoms affect your lifestyle, relationships and work then you should see a doctor who treats hormone deficiency and accept treatment! However, if you allow yourself to be manipulated by a male-dominated medical system that teaches all doctors to believe that menopause is normal as women age and don't seek out hormone replacement, then you just may be setting yourself up for years of symptoms that are treated with handfuls of medications, but never get you back to normal. Just think about this for a minute: Men develop erectile dysfunction and experience muscle loss as they age, but medicine doesn't consider ED or Sarcopenia a natural aging process for men, they advocate and endorse treatment with testosterone, ED medications, injections for ED and therapy for ED, and in most cases pay for it! If the male mentality would include women we would all be treated with estrogen and testosterone when we got to age 50 (or menopause). It is not just about the symptoms that E-T replacement can cure, but the diseases that you can avoid by taking estrogen and testosterone after menopause. These avoidable diseases of aging include: Osteoporosis leading to broken bones and spinal stenosis. Heart disease and stroke Diabetes Alzheimer's Dx and dementia Obesity Low muscle mass and inability to walk or move independently. Autoimmune diseases Loss of blood flow to Lower extremity, resulting in amputations and inhibiting walking and running Severe arthritis Gout Worsening depression and anxiety Frailty which is what causes most older people to be placed in a nursing home. Just think it is not fate that gives you these conditions. It is genetics plus lifestyle plus whether you replace your sex hormones or not! This decision is in your control. If you really want a life free of debilitating disease and symptoms that are require constant medical care, then you must buck the system (that was designed to keep us from maintaining our mind and body) and look for a doctor to replace your testosterone and estradiol in a non-oral delivery system and maintain it for life. By stopping ERT or Testosterone like the ACOG doctors tell you to, you will start the symptoms all over again. My job is to offer you the right type of help to reverse the effects of menopause…both symptoms and diseases. Your job is to decide whether you want to get help and become healthy by taking non-oral estrogen and testosterone for the rest of your life. Think of menopause as a disease and you will be more prepared to fight for your right to be treated by the medical system.

Chapter 1:Summary of Why Does He Do That? Inside the Minds of Angry and Controlling Men"Why Does He Do That? Inside the Minds of Angry and Controlling Men" by Lundy Bancroft provides an in-depth exploration of the motivations and psychology behind abusive and controlling behavior in men. The book is aimed primarily at women who are involved with or have been affected by such men and seeks to help them understand the dynamics of abusive relationships.Bancroft, a counselor with years of experience working with abusive men, categorizes these men into various types based on their behaviors and mindsets. He emphasizes that abusive behavior is often rooted in a desire for power and control, rather than merely being a response to stress or anger. The book highlights common traits and tactics used by these men, such as manipulation, intimidation, and the use of guilt. The author also addresses the misconceptions surrounding abuse, particularly the idea that it is provoked or that there can be effective change in the abuser without willingness on their part to seek help. He emphasizes the importance of recognizing warning signs and understanding the cycle of abuse. In addition to analyzing the mindset of abusive men, Bancroft offers guidance to victims on how to navigate their situations safely, set boundaries, and prioritize their well-being. He encourages readers to seek support and emphasizes that they are not alone.Ultimately, "Why Does He Do That?" aims to empower women by providing clarity about abusive dynamics and fostering a sense of hope and agency in their lives.Chapter 2:The Theme of Why Does He Do That? Strategies for Control: It exposes specific strategies used by abusers to maintain control, including intimidation, isolation, manipulation of children, and financial abuse.6. Impact on Victims: Bancroft discusses the psychological and emotional impact of abuse on victims and their often complicated feelings of love and attachment to their abusers.7. Empowerment and Support: The latter part of the book provides guidance for victims seeking to understand their situation, as well as strategies for safely leaving an abusive relationship. Does My Ex Want Me Back? Deciphering the Signs and Strategies Get my Emergency Breakup Kit at MyExBackCoach.com/ebk In coaching sessions and emails, a common question people ask is, "Does my ex want me back?" This question often stems from the confusion and anxiety that follows a breakup, especially during the no-contact period. Understanding whether your ex wants to rekindle the relationship can be challenging, but there are some signs and behaviors to look out for that might indicate their intentions. In this article, we'll explore these signs and provide you with insights to help you navigate this difficult time. The Dilemma of No Contact Many individuals find themselves in a state of uncertainty during the no-contact period. They are trying to figure out if maintaining no contact is worth it and if it might lead to their ex wanting them back. This period can be incredibly tough because you're left waiting without knowing what's going on with your ex. Here, we'll discuss some indicators that can help you determine if your ex might still be interested in you. Key Signs Your Ex Might Want You Back 1. Communication and Interaction: One of the most telling signs is if your ex makes an effort to check up on you or interact with you. This could be through liking your social media posts, watching your stories, or reaching out casually through text or email. Even small gestures, like asking how you're doing or wanting to exchange belongings, can be significant. The more consistent and engaged they are with your social media, the stronger the indication that they might be interested in rekindling the relationship. 2. Social Media Engagement: Pay close attention to how your ex interacts with your social media. If they are consistently watching your stories, liking your posts, or commenting, it suggests they are keeping tabs on you. This level of engagement often indicates that they are still interested in your life and possibly in reconnecting. 3. Physical Presence: If your ex goes out of their way to be around you or to attend events where they know you'll be, this could be a deliberate attempt to stay connected. Creating opportunities to see you, like suggesting to exchange personal items or casually meeting up, can also be strong indicators. 4. Emotional Reactions: Another sign is how your ex reacts emotionally to your life changes, especially your dating life. If they show signs of jealousy or concern about you being with someone else, it can indicate lingering feelings. Emotional reactions, whether subtle or overt, can provide valuable insights into their true desires. 5. Direct Communication: Sometimes, your ex might directly express their interest in getting back together. This could be through straightforward communication where they tell you they miss you or want to see if there's a chance to work things out. Directness removes any guesswork, making it clear they are interested in rekindling the relationship. Understanding the Dynamics While observing these signs can provide clues, it's important to remember that everyone's situation is unique. The presence of these signs doesn't guarantee that your ex wants to get back together, but they can be strong indicators. It's also crucial to consider the context of your relationship and breakup, as well as any underlying issues that may need to be addressed. Practical Advice for Moving Forward If you notice these signs and believe your ex wants to get back together, here are some practical steps to consider: 1. Take It Slow: Don't rush into reconciliation. Start with casual conversations and gradually rebuild your connection. Taking it slow allows both of you to assess your feelings and avoid repeating past mistakes. 2. Maintain Positive Communication: Focus on positive interactions and avoid bringing up past conflicts unnecessarily. Emphasize the changes both of you have made and how they can contribute to a healthier relationship. 3. Rebuild Trust: Trust is often damaged during a breakup. Rebuilding it takes time and effort. Be honest and transparent with each other about your feelings and intentions. Show through actions that you are committed to making the relationship work. 4. Seek Professional Help if Needed: If navigating the reconciliation process on your own proves challenging, consider seeking help from a relationship coach or therapist. They can provide valuable insights and strategies to help you rebuild your relationship effectively. 5. Keep Your Standards: Maintain your standards and don't compromise on what's important to you. A healthy relationship should be based on mutual respect and understanding. Don't settle for less just to get back together. Common Excuses and Their Real Meanings During this process, you might encounter various excuses from your ex. Here's how to interpret some common ones: 1. "They're Going Through a Lot Right Now": While it's true that life can be stressful, if your ex genuinely wants to be with you, they will see you as a source of support rather than an additional burden. This excuse often masks their uncertainty. 2. "They Need to Find Themselves": Personal growth is important, but if your ex wants to get back together, they should be willing to grow with you. This excuse might indicate they're unsure about their feelings. 3. "They're Under a Lot of Pressure": Life pressures are constant, but how your ex handles them can reveal their priorities. If they want to be with you, they will make it work despite these pressures. Taking Control of Your Situation Remember, you shouldn't feel the need to chase after your ex or decipher cryptic signals. If your ex wants to get back together, they will take clear and decisive actions to show it. Here's how to empower yourself during this time: 1. Focus on Yourself: Use this time to work on your personal growth and well-being. Engage in activities that make you happy and fulfilled. Building a strong sense of self-worth will make you more attractive and prepared for whatever the future holds. 2. Set Clear Boundaries: Make it clear what you will and won't tolerate. If your ex tries to enjoy the benefits of being in a relationship without committing, stand your ground. This will show them that you value yourself and won't settle for anything less than you deserve. 3. Avoid Playing Detective: Trying to figure out what your ex wants through subtle hints and mixed signals can be exhausting and unproductive. Instead, focus on direct communication and clear actions. If your ex wants to be with you, they will make it known without the need for guesswork. 4. Don't Compromise Your Standards: Maintain your standards and don't allow mistreatment or disrespect. If your ex tries to come back into your life, ensure they do so with respect and genuine intent. A healthy relationship should be built on mutual respect and effort. Conclusion: Moving Forward with Confidence Understanding whether your ex wants you back involves paying close attention to their actions and behaviors. By recognizing the signs and maintaining your standards, you can navigate this challenging time with confidence. Remember, reconciliation should be based on mutual respect, clear communication, and genuine desire to rebuild the relationship. Whether you're hoping to get back together or seeking closure, focusing on your well-being and personal growth is essential. Use this time to reflect on what you want and deserve in a relationship. If your ex truly wants you back, they will make the effort to show it. Until then, prioritize yourself and your happiness. Budget professionals can be challenging to work with from a leadership perspective. He also gets frustrated when people use a lack of training as a reason not to try something. Michael values training, but he understands that sometimes you have to take action before that formal training comes.Behavioral Norms (33:50)Michael explores the behavioral norms that came out of his military service.Learning how to function in a corporate environment is essential for people to know when leaving the military. The benefits of this experience were the rigor and structure, which can provide direction in life. On the flip side, it can be challenging to transition from that structure because you can grow dependent on it.Helping Others (39:07)As a leader, Michael tries to help other service members remove their need for a manual when making corporate transitions. Today, we'll dismantle a few common excuses often provided for not setting goals. We also briefly discuss the SMART goal-setting framework.
The Portage church of Christ is a group of pre-denominational Christians that are striving to serve the Lord together. Our goal is to please God, and we believe that the best way to do that is to follow the pattern that was established by the churches in the first century and revealed in the New Testament. We have no creed or doctrine except the Bible and we follow the Bible only. We strive for unity in the teaching of New Testament doctrine. Our congregation is not part of, or subject to, any larger man-made religious organization. We are a completely autonomous congregation. We are locally governed, just as the church in the first century was. How does one become a member of this church congregation? The exact same way as seen in the Biblical accounts. On the day of Pentecost following Jesus' resurrection, people who repented and were baptized were saved (Acts 2:38) and the saved were added to the church (Acts 2:47). These saved people were members of the body, or church (Colossians 1:18). To become a Christian, the Bible teaches: Hear the gospel (Rom. 10:17) Believe that Jesus Christ is the son of God (John 8:24, 58, Heb. 11:6) Repent of past sins (Luke 13:3, 5) Confess Jesus as Lord (Matt. 10:32-33, Rom. 10:9-10) Be baptized for the remission of sins (Acts 2:38, Mark 16:16) Remain Faithful to Christ (Rev. 2:10, 2 Tim 4:7-8)

Excuses are used by people afraid to fail. Sadly, the person who uses excuses is doomed to failure anyway!
This week’s episode is another in my throwback series which will be running over the coming weeks while I take some time to work on my writing. As I’ve mentioned before, I absolutely love throwbacks because they give us all the chance to reflect and see if we have been applying the information and strategies offered in these episodes, and to determine what we may need to do differently or where we may need to take more action in these areas. So once again, whether you’ve heard them before, or whether this is your first time, you are going to get something valuable out of these episodes, which just happen to be some of my favorites, so get your notepad ready and prepare yourself to soak up the knowledge and wisdom that is coming your way. In this throwback episode, we’ll explore those times when you may have come up against resistance after considering a goal - whether it be personal, health, business, etc. It’s not that we necessarily talk ourselves out of making these big changes consciously—rather, our brains are wired to protect us from any sort of change that could feel scary, and as a result will throw all kinds of excuses our way. Our brain likes comfort and uniformity, not shaking things up in order to take big risks and playing a bigger game. So it’s important that we acknowledge the excuses that come up that often derail us when we consider moving from “I’m fine” to “I’m ready to stop setting and take action”. Today, I will walk you through what I believe to be the five most common excuses women and men alike fall back on to keep from progressing in their personal and professional lives, and explain what you can do to rebut these mental arguments when they come up. I’ll also share the empowering story of Lucy Hobbs and emphasize the importance of being proactive instead of reactive in your life. As always, if there is a topic you would like me to discuss or a guest to interview on the podcast, please feel free to contact me at pr@kellytravis.net - I would love to hear from you! The Finer Details of This Episode: - The conversation Kelly recently had with another woman that got her thinking about what the excuses we tell ourselves cost us in the long run. - The first and most common excuse: that you don’t have time to pursue your goals and enact significant change. - The second excuse: that you’re not ready to make the necessary changes to turn your goals into realities. - The third excuse: you’ve failed at this goal or something similar before and you think you’ll fail again. - The fourth excuse: that you’re not [INSERT TRAIT] enough to pursue your goal. - The fifth and often most limiting excuse: that you’re fine where you currently are and don’t need to go after any other goals. - TAKE ACTION: Write down the goal you’re having the hardest time pursuing, and then jot down all of the excuses that deter you from turning that dream into a reality. Think really hard about these excuses and pinpoint the reasons why they are, in Kelly’s words, “bullshit,” and how you’re going to combat them. Quotes: “No one feels like doing the work to change but those that reach that next level of success do it anyway.” “You don’t have to prove you’re Superwoman by doing all the things.” “If you’re doing all of it, you’re not doing it right.” “There’s so much we can do in ten minutes that literally moves the needle forward.” “Just find one thing that shows some progress and gets you in the damn race.” “The failures in our past are opportunities to change our approach.” “You are meant to do more and you are meant to feel your best doing it.” Show Links: Kelly’s homepage - http://www.kellytravis.net

In 1930, the cancer rates in the US were one in 30. Today, the rates have increased to one in every two men and one in every three women. Years ago, the American Cancer Society blamed genetics, but today they know better. Research clearly shows that lifestyle is the major player with genetics contributing only 10-15 percent. And so it is with many diseases today. February is Cancer Prevention Month. With cancer rates this high, it’s wise to put a prevention plan in place. Prevention starts with securing a primary doctor who will schedule all your needed screenings. These important screenings, however, don’t prevent cancer. They only detect it it early. It’s lifestyle changes that prevent cancer—changes such as proper hydration, exercise, adequate sleep and nutrient dense foods. The following are four excuses that many people use preventing them from implementing a plan: Ginny Dent Brant is a counselor, educator, speaker, and wellness advocate. Her recent book, “Unleash Your God-given Healing: Eight Steps to Prevent and Survive Cancer,” was written with an oncologist, won a Golden Scrolls Award, and was featured on CBN. TRENDING TOPIC OF THE DAY FUTURE IS THE BABY DADDY OF ELIZA REIGN But how do you deal with not knowing who is the Bady Daddy? Option 1: The mystery approach. Just don't tell anyone anything. Just make vague references when asked. “The father, oh yes, he was a good man. A solitary type of man.” Purse my lips, shrug. “Oh yes, the father, well, he died in the war.” Adjust my perfect '50s-style chignon as I walked away, hips swinging, heels clinking. Option 2: Eeenie-meenie-minie-moe-pick-a-father-since-you-don't-know. But that was low, even for me (and I was feeling rather low).. Option 3: Honesty. With everyone. No matter how much it hurt (it did). No matter how much it sucked (greatly). Watch every face fall in disappointment, hear every sigh, every insult (and those said behind my back that I had to feel instead), have every difficult conversation, and dive headlong into my feelings of shame. This week we have Tiffany Lee Bymaster on the podcast talking all things live video. As a huge fan of using live video to grow your business, Tiffany is definitely the right person to tell you everything you need to know. Although people are scared of doing live videos, they can be an incredible tool for your business. We talk about what to do, how you should do it and how to get over that initial fear of going live. Key Takeaways Covered in the Podcast · You have to work hard in order to succeed. Those that want to succeed will get past that initial moment of getting started and it will separate the starters from the finishers. · Rather than focussing on negative what ifs, try focussing on the positive what ifs. Focus on all of the things that could go right. · The feelings you get when you’re experiencing fear are the same symptoms you get when you’re feeling excited. You can choose how you interpret them. · If you’re worried about what you look like when it comes to live video, you need to remember that it’s your voice that matters. We need that diversity in the online space. · Live video is a vital component for brand building. You need to ensure you have a strategy and you’re not doing live video for the sake of doing live video. · If someone else cannot easily describe what you do as a business, your brand is blurry. · You can target your ads to previous video viewers, meaning you have a targeted audience you know are already interested in you. Facebook and Instagram also favour the ads of those that are doing live video. · If you’re putting off starting, it’s important to remember that all you need is your phone and your voice to get started. No one expects your live video to be polished, they just want to be able to see and hear you. · Introduce yourself at the start of each video and give your signature statement. Let people know what you do and why, as you cannot assume that people know who you are. · Look at your camera lens and not yourself to show that you’re confident. Speak as though you are the leading expert in what you do. If you show up with that kind of confidence you are guaranteed to succeed. · People are going to be following you for YOU. Live video is the best way to be authentic and show the real you. · The beauty of live video is that you will get better over time. · Have a primary and secondary social media platform and be as consistent as you can with your posting schedules. Try to go live once a week. One thing you need to remember above all else… The fear is never going to go away, but you take it out of the way and become a successful business owner because you stop making it about you. It's the Goldilocks Syndrome…. It's too hot to exercise. It's too cold. It's too early. It's too late. I'm too tired or busy or overweight or overwhelmed. When x, y, or z changes, things will be better, easier. That's not long to wait, right? And, so, we talk ourselves into waiting and out of working toward fitness. All the while, we're fully convinced we have the world's most pragmatic mindset. What else could we do in such a situation? It's just the way it has to be. Exercise just can't happen under these circumstances. And so we give away our chance at vitality because we're married to a set of conditions, which become – like it or not – our excuses. (This Mark's Daily Apple article was written by Mark Sisson, and is narrated by Brock Armstrong)
