It was supposed to be a group coaching call, but nobody else showed up, so she had 45 minutes of my undivided attention, and we spent that time talking about a lot of different things. It's a conversation that I have all the time with clients who are past the initial stages and more into setting up systems, setting up repetition, creating marketing campaigns that are rinsed and repeat. At the beginning of hiring team members with the intention of doubling their client load month after month after. If you are just starting, this is what you have to sort of look forward to. And if you're in that place where you are in growth mode, I hope that some of the things that we talk about in terms of campaigns and strategy are really helpful for you. A UK report showed 64% of small business owners report suffering with anxiety. And it's no surprise. Many of us start our business from a place of personal experience and passion to help others. We don't have the identity of business owner and we are not prepared, in any way, for the multitude of challenges (emotional, mental and physical) that present to us every day. Don't Try and Be Like Everyone Else In my opinion, what exacerbates the problem, is that you then get in to comparison. "Why don't I have all my sh*t together like everyone else" (only now you know that most other people are all thinking the same, right??) We convince ourselves we have to "Be like them" and "do it like them" and all the while we are simply strengthening the stories of limitation about ourselves, abilities and possibilities. 3 Steps In this episode I am sharing 3 incredibly SIMPLE steps for you to implement that means you WILL grow your business even if you are struggling with anxiety, overwhelm and uncertainty. You will STOP: Procrastinating Waiting for the "right" answer Questioning every decision or action Stopping and starting Beating up on yourself for having these emotions Instead you will Take consisent action, confident in your progress and value all the lessons that come with it. If you are ready to learn how to implement this in to your business, so that you can make more money and create the freedom in your life you desire, drop me dm on FB or Insta, or alternatively book your free consultation call here.

With over 110K subscribers on YouTube and a multiple million dollar business, I'm feeling a little embarrassed that it took me so long to start a Podcast. It may have taken longer for me to jump on board the bandwagon but here I am... we all have to start somewhere right?! That's why in this episode we're going to throw it back a little bit and take a look at the incredible growth of my business and how this came to be. I'll even let you in on a very juicy secret on how you can take your own business from $0 to $1,000,000 in revenue. So, she decided to talk and asked permission from her mother if she can start a business because she wants to help businesses to market their products and services – her mother without hesitation told her to go and help businesses to earn money in exchange for services she could offer. She really wants to be on it and get dirty.Liz was overwhelmed and started the business, hired a few people to do the task for her – she does podcasting and looks for some networking events to meet people who're into business and offer them help for their business using the internet-friendly way. She's a licensed insurance agent and thinks that her experience in the insurance industry taught her to sell stuff or anything to people and that what she wants in her business is - to do what insurance agents do.In that way, she started to get more clients with the help of her team and use online and digital marketing to do her business and helping more businesses. Some businesses and people's priority isn't business or investing money in marketing their products and service. They love traveling around and when the pandemic hits us and during the global effect, most people are affected and business struggles in their market and sales. Some of them closed for months while others continue to adopt the use of online transactions.Liz and her team help some business owners to continue their business through copywriting, branding, and using online tools to get more customers and to sell their products and services. Out-dated system of business shifts to new and does their business online. And also those who do services like spa or massage, shift to sell health and beauty products. She says that “I talk like I write and my website sounds and feel like me” because “it is a great way to differentiate from everybody else.” She advised not to be afraid and own your voice and stuff. They must write an authentic and easy way to understand the content for customers. Liz is also a millennial that helps her to manage her business and help others.Liz wants to package her strategy so she creates and offers a master class for entrepreneurs who want to learn and write their own copy for their website; to create magnetic, engaging, and converting content that shows actual and professional copywriters. Despite having professional writers, they too deserve to be paid. Writing is easy, in the sense that you are using the English language to speak and write – she added.Want to hear more inspiring words from Liz? As the popular marketing saying goes: facts tell, stories sell. Stories are incredible for connection and engagement, but what if you just don’t have any good ones? Or everytime you need one, you go blank? You need a bank of stories to pull from that you can use over and over again. In this episode, I give you my 3 step process for documenting and organizing stories so you’re never caught trying to think of one on the fly, or worse, omitting it all together. Learn the amazing potential that building connections with local influencers can have in the growth of your business. Become inspired by Kate Erickson of Entrepreneurs On Fire, who shares her experience building local connections and growing EOFire to a top learning company for entrepreneurs. Local influencers such as Meetup group leaders, networking event hosts, leaders of associations and special interest groups, local librarians, and small business owners can play a powerful role in the growth of your business. Even if you want to expand your business online, you must also prioritize building connections with local influencers. The audiences of local influencers might not be as large as that of someone with a large social media presence or a large online platform. However, these influencers tend to have a very loyal audience and offer the potential for you to be face-to-face with ideal prospects. You could deliver value to the influencer and their audiences by sharing your expertise through a presentation, workshop, guided activity, or live demo. It's important to be able to stay in touch with the potential clients you meet at these events through email and social media. That's how the online and "real" worlds come together. This episode of the show is dedicated to building connections with local influencers, and you will also listen to the conversation with Kate Erickson of Entrepreneurs On Fire. Kate shares her story attending her few first few local events, and how she learned to thrive in them. She also shares her experience working alongside John Lee Dumas to grow Entrepreneurs On Fire, a company that has growth well beyond the world-renowned podcast and now inspires and educate millions of entrepreneurs all over the world. Today we are flipping the script on money habits. I’m so excited to have with me Rachel Cruze, author of, “Love Your Life, Not Theirs.” She is sharing her three money habits that, quite honestly, are right on the money! If you adopt these three amazing rules, your rituals around money management will empower you to see what is possible personally and help you grow your online business. Now, I like to think I’m a smart girl. I run my own business. I’m a planner. I understand my finances. However— I was blown away at how much one tip in particular changed my entire outlook and the way I managed money. And, then seeing how that affected positive change in my business—the results were fantastic. That’s why I want to share this with you so badly. You may have heard me say it already— but I believe that when growing your own business, it often feels that what’s personal is business and what’s business is personal. This could not be more true than for this very sensitive topic, money. Money is one of the most important common denominators in the management of your business and your personal life. These habits, once you adopt them, can truly help your online business grow. So, do these questions sound like you? Do you compare your vacations, your home, your car, your clothes to others? Does social media make it worse for you? Rachel’s first money habit will tell you some surprising realities about what you’re seeing in your newsfeed and WHY we compare what we see to our own story. Then, she tells you what you should be thinking and how to flip the script to actually make it incredibly positive—personally and professionally. Rachel shares how to turn this bad habit into a good one. Go here to listen. The second habit: You must have a plan for your money. Yes, I’m talking a budget. Don’t cringe! Not knowing where you’re money is going can cause stress and anxiety. These pain points affect your personal life and your business evenly. What’s personal is business and what’s business is personal. So, let’s flip the script! Rachel’s second habit is based on the categories that everyone needs to include in their budget. It’s these SPECIFIC categories that make this habit so achievable. These categories are relevant for not only you personally, but for your business too. Does your budget give you permission to spend your money exactly how you want? Rachel’s does. I hear you—that sounds counterintuitive. I promise you it’s not. And, even better you won’t feel guilty. I LOVE IT! This MUST-DO habit will address both your work and your home budget and help your business grow! Rachel’s third habit might be the most important one here. This is the one that will give you the permission you need as a business owner to take risks. WHY? Because this is the one thing you can do so that you are never forced to fail. If you have this, you will feel confident to go the extra mile, to go for launching your first course, to take that risk. You work hard for your money. If you adopt this habit, are wildly patient, and make it a priority, it will pay off. As a business owner, there will come a day when you will be able to reap those rewards from your hard work. Or, you will have the ability to save your business or your home because you did this one thing—and you did it consistently. Listen in to get the three habits you need for growing your online business.

Haley Lynn Gray is a business consultant and the founder of Leadership Girl. I think this line from her website states really clearly what Haley does and why she has resonated with me so much: “You went into business for yourself to be your own boss, have time with your family and make more money. The only problem is that you don't know how to get clients to bring in money, which leads to spinning your wheels. More often than not, it also means more time in front of the computer than when you were in corporate.” Haley just has a 'make it work, no matter what' attitude and I just love that about her. She has so much knowledge to bring to the table and I hope you enjoy today's interview with her! If you want to know how to grow your business online, then this is definitely the show for you to listen to. Don't forget to grab your pen and paper! You will need it. Key Insights & Aha Moments: *Thank you for leaving your reviews on Stitcher Radio! *Why did Haley start an online business? Her friend was doing it and she saw the amazing possibilities. *Blogging has its place, but it can't be the sole force that's building your business. *Look at other opportunities like guest blogging. *People love having guest bloggers on their blog. *There are lower hanging fruits that you can get if your purpose is to make money. Blogs take time. *How do you become a guest blogger? Approach your favorite bloggers and ask them! *How is running an online business different from a location-based business? You're anonymously contacting your customers. *Online business owners are more vulnerable and have more authentic posts. *What are some of the challenges of starting an online business? People ignore you. *You have to go out and build your tribe one by one. *What social media platforms are you going to use? What's your budget? Who's your tribe? *Not everyone is an overnight success. Remember, it takes time to build your audience. *It takes roughly 500-1000 Facebook posts in a variety of different groups over the course of 2-3 months for people to even notice you. *You really have to put yourself out there. *What size does your list have to be before you create your own product/online course? At least a couple of thousand active subscribers on your list. *These numbers are important just to give you a starting point on what you should aim for. *Haley has been feeding and watering her tribe for a very long time. She spends a lot of time cultivating relationships. *Find the social media platforms that work for you. *You can use Twitter to promote your webinars. *Michelle struggled to find a community when she started her business. *You can join Michelle's free Facebook community for help. Maven Moment: Haley is just so knowledgeable and she has taught me a lot on today's show. I think what stood out the most for me was that I didn't realize you could use Twitter to promote your webinars and other products. I feel like not a lot of people are very focused on using Twitter as a sales funnel and Haley just opened my eyes to the possibilities of using Twitter in combination with webinars. I cannot wait to try it out for myself! Mentioned in This Episode: http://www.michellemcglade.com/ https://www.facebook.com/groups/bizmaven/?fref=ts Connect with Shari: Website

Current Business: Entrepreneur on Fire Kate has been such an inspiration to me, I consider her one of my virtual mentors. There were so many things I wanted to talk to her about, but when I really thought about it there wasn’t a doubt in my mind what that was. I’ve heard her talk about her “journey” over the years, but she shared a lot of details in a post she wrote on her blog Why job security is BS (and how to leave your 9-5) . This is a topic near and dear to my heart. I know a lot of the listeners feel the same way and want to figure out how to do it for themselves. Kate's Story Kate was like a lot of us. Climbing the corporate ladder and then figuring out that letting someone else be the “master of her destiny” was not the way she wanted to live her life. When she became self aware to the fact that being unhappy M-F in order to be happy on the weekend was just crazy. She walks us through her process: Phase I: The Decision Phase II: The Preparation Phase III: The Leap The Escape Plan Everyone’s story is different so we talk about different ways to form and execute a plan to leave your 9-5, which I now refer to as the "Escape Plan." Internal/External Influences We also talk about how she dealt with friends and family who didn’t understand entrepreneurship. That negative inner voice that some of us suffer from a.k.a "The Impostor Syndrome" (who am I to do this). You Do you agree that job security is BS? What's holding you back? Want a single guide that lays out the step-by-step of an entrepreneur's journey? This is it. Because after trying and failing and trying and failing, I know it's so much easier to have a guide than it is to make things up, or try 10 things before you find the one that works. This is why I wrote and published my first book, The Fire Path: A Beginner's Guide to Growing Your Online Business: because I've failed at entrepreneurship before, and I have a lot of lessons learned that I know can help others on their own journey.
