In this episode, we delve into the world of summits and what it takes to run a successful one. Summits offer entrepreneurs valuable networking opportunities, industry training, and a platform to market themselves and grow their audience. But behind the scenes, there are countless moving parts that contribute to a summit's success. Join us as we uncover the secrets to hosting a remarkable summit.  “Summits are a lot of work. Do it wrong and you'll learn how much work it is.” - Larissa Russell  Our guests today are Larissa Russell and Malva Gasowski, the founders of Spectacular Summits, a company dedicated to hosting impactful summits and assisting clients in organizing their own. Larissa, known as the Summit Queen, is an entrepreneur, international bestselling author, speaker, artist, coach, and healer. With her extensive experience running summits for herself and other experts, Larissa brings unparalleled expertise to the table. Malva, an instructional designer, business trainer, summit creator, executive coach, and international bestselling author, is also a key figure in the summit space.  Together, they also host the Elevate Your Kajabi Business Summit, a premier event that focuses on delivering proven advanced strategies and tactics for scaling Kajabi businesses and achieving long-term success.  Throughout this episode we address key questions, including:  What value do summits bring to entrepreneurs and their businesses?  Is hosting or participating in a summit a worthwhile investment for your business?  Should you speak at a summit?    “As a summit speaker, I'm collaborating with someone else.” - Malva Gasowski  Dispelling a common perspective that the other speakers and participants and summits are “competitors,” the ladies remind us that we're collaborating rather than competing with one another. When professionals from the same industry come together, we bring our expertise, knowledge, and connections to the table. By embracing collaboration, we can collectively grow and support each other's success.  Tune in to this episode to gain insights from Larissa and Malva on how to create and leverage summits for maximum impact.  Connect with Larissa Russell:  Website  LinkedIn  Connect with Malva Gasowski:  Website  Facebook  Instagram  LinkedIn  Connect with Spectacular Summits:  Website  LinkedIn  Elevate Your Kajabi Business Summit  Learn more about your ad choices. “We looked into what it would take for us to work with one of the incumbent wholesale traditional distributors that are dominating the space for Natural Foods distribution and CPG. It was just a nightmare ahead of us. There was no transparency, everybody we talked to said it was a necessary evil if we wanted to scale nationally, but they're going to squeeze you for every dollar that you're worth.” Kristi is thrilled to be joined by Larissa Russell, Co-Founder and CEO of Pod Foods, on this episode of The Irresistible Factor. Larissa and her Kickstarter cookie company were among hundreds of thousands of emerging brands that were trying to reach their consumers in retail, but had hit a major roadblock – it was obvious that the wholesale distribution system was not set up for brands like hers and many others. So instead of pursuing their original brand, Larissa and her Co-Founder set off to create something entirely different, a new model for distribution – Pod Foods. Pod Foods facilitates retail management for smaller brands by getting rid of the middle man and providing an online platform for the B2B marketplace, allowing small businesses to have more control over their distribution. You'll hear how Pod Foods manages a brand's position in the marketplace, helps with end-to-end logistics, and provides radical transparency to help brands make decisions while cultivating good relationships. Growing a CPG business is no easy feat but Pod Foods aims to make it easier, smoother, and maybe even more enjoyable!

Nikol and I talked about when you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change. As well as, the great debate of ‘is a Cricut a want or a need’?Nikol Wikman lives in Victoria, BC Canada with her husband and two children. She has been an artist for as long as she can remember. She loved art class in school and spent hours upon hours sketching. As Nikol grew up she experimented with different creative avenues, sewing, sculpting, stained glass, beading, making jewelry. Anything to feed the creative yearning in her soul. In her 20's Nikol decided to try painting again (which she hadn't done since high school). She painted simple pieces for her apartment and loved it! It was so fun to grab a canvas, throw some paint on it and have her own unique piece of art! For a few years she painted here and there but nothing too serious. After her son was born she was struggling a little bit, lonely as a new mom. Nikol decided to make a point of painting (almost) daily. It was one of the best decisions she ever made! In the studio(aka her dining room) she felt she had found herself again! Nikol loved it so much she couldn't stop. The process of playing with pure liquid colour does something to her heart that nothing else does. She never gets bored of it. When she paints she feels joyful and free! 12 years later she has painted hundreds(maybe even thousands!) of paintings. Nikol has been able to connect and share her love of art with like-minded souls from around the world. She has sent paintings to far-off places she'll maybe never get to visit herself! Nikol feels so lucky and grateful every day for what art has brought into her life. You can find Nikol here:nikolwikman@gmail.comYou can find your host Larissa Russell here:https://www.creativeu.ca/ https://www.facebook.com/CreativeU.ca/https://www.instagram.com/creativeu.ca/https://www.pinterest.ca/CreativeUdotca/

Jessica was a presenter at our Loving-Healing-Creating Summit in February.Jessica Malli Mercier is a long-time creative soul, a mixed media artist, as well as a graphic designer. Her goal is to inspire others to be free in their creative process. When creating an art journal, the end result isn't the most important part, it is the time that we take to make art, and the telling of our stories that should take precedent. It is a special place to express emotions, fears, joys, and things that we love. It is an opportunity to document your life, a safe haven for your inner thoughts and feelings, and the time that we take to free ourselves in the creation process can be very powerful. This form of art is open to so much experimentation and passion. It is a brilliant exercise for people and artists trying to find their style, and are just beginning or are unsure of their level of talent. Art journaling has been such an important part of her life as a woman and as an artist simultaneously and she loves to share things that she has learned in her own journey through this medium. You can find Jess here;www.sketchedandsealed.com/freeartclubhttps://www.instagram.com/sketchedandsealed/https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCsneNIA4EfsEczdE_HFUXFghttps://www.facebook.com/sketchedandsealedYou can find your host Larissa Russell here;https://www.creativeu.ca/ https://www.facebook.com/CreativeU.ca/ https://www.instagram.com/creativeu.ca/ https://www.pinterest.ca/CreativeUdotca/

That's when she and her cofounder decided to shut down Green Pea Cookies and start Pod Foods (https://podfoods.co/), the only food distributor designed for startup food brands.
