How many new segments is too many? Is this episode laying the blueprint? And what does a cow wear to a wedding? We stampede through these questions and more as we watch Season 2, Episode 6 of Family Matters.Alex Diamond, David Kenny, and John McDaniel heard that the long-running network sitcom Family Matters ends with side character Steve Urkel going to space. And the best way to figure out how that happened - obviously - is to watch the last episode first and make our way backwards through nearly ten years of television.Join our countdown to number one (and our slow descent into madness) in all the places you expect internet people to be:Website: jumpingtheshuttle.spaceEmail: jumpingtheshuttle@gmail.comInstagram: @JumpingTheShuttle / @ThatAlexD / @dak577Twitter: @JumpingShuttle / @ThatAlexD / @dak577TikTok: @JumpingTheShuttle / @ThatAlexD / @dak577Brought to you by Smooth My Balls

Merriam-Webster's Word of the Day for February 20, 2023 is: prerogative prih-RAH-guh-tiv noun Prerogative means “right or privilege,” and especially refers to a special right or privilege that some people have. // If you'd rather sell the tickets than use them, that's your prerogative. See the entry > Examples: “The stakes never feel particularly high on Darkthrone albums anymore, which usually works in the band's favor. They release a ton of music, and almost all of it is at least pretty good. Nocturno Culto and Fenriz have already pushed each other to peaks that few others have scaled, and if they now tend to sound more like a couple of aging pals jamming together, that's their prerogative.” — Brad Sanders, Pitchfork, 3 Nov. 2022 Did you know? In ancient Rome, voting at legal assemblies was done by group, with the majority in a group determining the vote. The group chosen to vote first on an issue was called the praerogātīva, a word rooted in Latin rogāre, “to ask; to ask an assembly for a decision.” When English adopted prerogative from Latin, via Anglo-French, in the 15th century, it took only the idea of the privilege the ancient Roman voting group enjoyed; the English word referred then, as it also does now, to an exclusive or special right, power, or privilege. Often such a prerogative is tied to an office, official body, or nation, but as Bobby Brown reminded us in his 1988 song “My Prerogative,” the right to live as you like can also be referred to as a prerogative.

Daytime Emmy Winning Actor, Terrence Terrell was raised in the small town of Cleveland, Mississippi. He displayed an affinity for entertainment at a young age. As a child, he would entertain anyone who would watch and listen. The 80's hit "My Prerogative" by Bobby Brown was one of the first songs he sang, danced and even performed to. "I don't know what it was but there was something about it that made me just want to move" recalls Terrell. Throughout his teenage years, he was bullied, but coped by turning the negativity into humor. As an adult, Terrell moved out of Mississippi to Los Angeles, California, to pursue a dream of acting and writing. Terrence Terrell is a well established actor known for his roles in shows like "Criminal Minds", "Modern Family" and "Giants" to name a few. He is also the author of the critically acclaimed books "BLACKY" and "THE SHES"...and the empire keeps growing! --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/theactorslounge/support

In this episode, we resolve the cliffhanger and talk about: How I don't remember lyrics or titles to songs - even the ones I love - such as My Prerogative. That's why Jack Black is my spirit animal, and he's awesome for singing Elton John songs right to Elton John If you get DA (relatively) quickly, consider pivoting to a network assessment and crack hashes with secretsdump, test egress filtering, run Network Detective and more Once you've cracked all the hashes you can, run it through hashcombiner and Pipal like this: python /opt/hashcombiner/hash_combiner.py user_hash hash_password | sort > combined.txt cut -d ':' -f 2 combined.txt > passwords.txt ruby /opt/pipal/pipal.rb passwords.txt > pip.txt The procdump + lsass trick is still really effective (though sometimes AV gobbles it) (See full show notes at 7ms.us!)

Guy (band)Origins (1986–1988)[edit]Guy was formed in Harlem, New York in 1987 by R&B singer-songwriters Teddy Riley, Aaron Hall, and Timmy Gatling. Riley and Gatling were childhood friends growing up in Harlem, and previously collaborated in the band Kids At Work.[1] Hall was recruited to join what would become Guy.[2] As well as writing songs for their own group, Riley and Hall collaborated on other songwriting and production projects, including Bobby Brown's "My Prerogative" and Johnny Kemp's "Just Got Paid".[1]Mainstream success and Breakup (1988–1991)[edit]Under the guidance of manager Gene Griffin, the group signed to Andre Harrell's Uptown Records, and released their self-titled debut album Guy in June 1988. Gatling, however, had left after recording of the album was completed and he was replaced by Hall's younger brother Damion Hall. Gatling would later release his solo debut Help in 1989 on Tommy Boy/Warner Bros. Records in 1989[3] and become a producer, penning and writing songs such as "Promises, Promises" for Christopher Williams and "When Will I See You Smile Again?" for Bell Biv DeVoe.Five singles were released from the album, none of which fared well on the main US Billboard Hot 100 chart, where only one release charted. However, four of the singles became significant R&B hits. The singles, "'Round And 'Round (Merry-Go-Round of Love), (US R&B #24); "Groove Me", (US R&B #4); "Teddy's Jam", (US R&B #5); "I Like", (US R&B #2); and "Spend the Night", (US R&B #15), propelled the album to double platinum status off the strength of those R&B hits.[1] Another song from the album, "Piece of My Love", also received some airplay on R&B stations. The album impressively climbed to #27 on the US Top 200 Album Chart without a major pop hit, and peaked at #1 on the R&B Album Chart.Following on the album's success, the band contributed the song "My Fantasy" to the soundtrack to Spike Lee's film Do The Right Thing in 1989. Griffin and Riley also worked with Boy George, producing his R&B hit "Don't Take My Mind On A Trip". However, that same year Guy split acrimoniously from Gene Griffin.[4][5] Riley continued to produce and remix for other artists and firmly established himself as the figurehead and driving force behind New Jack Swing.[6]In November 1990, Guy released its second album, entitled The Future. Although still not scoring top 40 pop hits, the album's five singles became R&B hits. The songs "Wanna Get Wit U", (US R&B #4); Let's Chill", (US R&B #3); "Do Me Right" (Featuring Heavy D), (US R&B #2); "D-O-G Me Out", (US R&B #8); and "Let's Stay Together", (US R&B #16) took the album to platinum status. The band also featured in Mario Van Peebles's film New Jack City, performing the song "New Jack City".[7]After the run of the album, the group split with Riley later citing "the tragedy of our ex-manager" Griffin as the reason for the group's disbandment.[4] One of the group's final recordings was their cover of Wilson Pickett's Land of a Thousand Dances, that was featured on the 1992 animated film FernGully: The Last Rainforest. In the 1990s, Riley focused on producing other artists such as Heavy D and Michael Jackson and he also formed another group, Blackstreet. The two Hall brothers each pursued solo careers during the 1990s.Reunions[edit]Guy have reformed periodically since their initial break-up, the first of which occurred in 1995, with the release of the song "Tell Me What You Like", but an album did not follow at that time.In 1999, Riley and the Hall brothers reunited to release their first album in nine years titled Guy III. The album featured the modest hit "Dancin'", which peaked at #19 on the US Hot 100 chart, becoming surprisingly their biggest hit on the pop charts. However, the album was poorly promoted and as quickly as it was released it dropped from the public consciousness. The group disbanded again soon after, but reformed periodically from 2005 onwards, and despite rumours of another album, they have yet to release another. In 2006 they were part of New Jack Reunion Tour line up, along with BLACKstreet, Tony! Toni! Toné!, After 7, New Edition, and SWV.Riley and the Hall brothers reunited at the 2009 BET Awards, performing "I Like" as part of a new jack swing medley.[8]Speaking in March 2010 to noted UK R&B writer Pete Lewis - Deputy Editor of the award-winning Blues & Soul - Riley confirmed he is no longer involved with Guy. He went on to perform with the group again in October 2010. But the reunion was short-lived following claims by other band members that Riley had not properly distributed royalties he had collected on behalf of Guy.[citation needed]On January 16, 2011, Aaron and Damion performed without Teddy at BET Honors in Washington DC. "Guy brought the audience to its feet with new-jack-swing-era hits Let's Chill and Groove Me." - The Washington Post. The performance at BET Honors became a trending topic on Twitter when it aired on February 21, 2011. The duo appeared again on February 17, 2011 on the TV One Black History Month special "Way Black When." As of 2013, Riley has announced he's returned to Guy and will be working with Guy as well as Blackstreet. Riley's return in 2013 was short and he left once again according to Aaron Hall. In August 2014, Riley announced via his official instagram that he has reunited with the Hall brothers with a new website and tour coming soon.[9]Members[edit]Present[edit]Teddy RileyAaron HallDamion HallPast[edit]Timmy Gatling See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

What up fam :) So as you know, this motivational musical I’m putting together, #LIFEPARTY, is a super big passion project of mine. I’ve been working on it for 3+ years and I thought I was ready to start performing it and even confirmed my first two gigs here in Detroit...but something was eating at me...something felt unfinished. When I was about 8 years old, my dad would tape Bobby Brown when he was on Arsenio Hall...and I would watch his performances of My Prerogative and Every Little Step over and over and over again and that is how I taught myself how to dance :) I love dancing. It’s in my blood. When I go to a wedding it’s like game on :) and that is the feeling I wanted to create with this show. It’s like, why do we have to wait once every few years to celebrate a wedding to dance?! Let’s just celebrate LIFE :) so that’s the essence behind #LIFEPARTY. So I decided to take a step back and dig back into my childhood roots and dreams and tomorrow I start working with a choreographer
Britney Spears (@britneyspears) is an extremely busy woman who cannot possibly be expected to put out an album every f*cking year so in 2004 she released a greatest hits album along with a few new tracks two of which were good. Ashley Hamilton (@ashleyhammm) and Claire Parker (@clariethescare) reflect on the ways in which the My Prerogative music video changed their lives for the better as well as discussing other important matters like what you would have to achieve in life to wear white jeans.
On this date in 1908, the first long-distance radio signal was sent from the Eiffel Tower. Here are some things you may not have known about the Paris landmark. It was constructed as the entrance to the 1889 World’s Fair and was designed and built by the company owned by Gustave Eiffel. The tower cost an estimated 6.5 million francs, of which the World’s Fair organizers paid only 1.5 million. In exchange, they allowed Eiffel to have the commercial rights to the tower during the exposition and for the next 20 years. After those 20 years expired, Eiffel was supposed to dismantle and remove the tower. The tower was a source of controversy at first. Some believed the 300-meter tall tower was not feasible, and others didn’t like it for aesthetic reasons. Once the tower was completed, one of the latter group, writer Guy de Maupassant, is said to have eaten lunch regularly at the tower’s restaurant because it was one of the few places from which he could view Paris’ skyline without seeing the tower. Construction began in January 1887 with the foundations. After six months the ironwork began. In all, the tower consists of 18,038 pieces, joined together by 2.5 million rivets. Structural work was finished by the end of March 1889, but the elevators and other facilities remained a work in progress. In fact, the tower didn’t open to the public until nine days after the start of the World’s Fair in May, and even then the elevators had yet to be completed. However, 30,000 visitors climbed the stairs to the top before the elevators started operation on May 26. More than 1.8 million visitors toured the tower during the exposition. In 1909, the original permit for the tower expired, but the city allowed it to remain as it was useful as a radio and later television transmitter. It also became a national symbol of France. During World War II, the French cut the elevator cables while the Germans occupied Paris, requiring the Germans to climb the stairs to unfurl their swastika flag. In 1944, as the Allies were on the verge of retaking Paris, Hitler ordered the tower destroyed. The Nazi military governor disobeyed the order. The economic design of the tower means that if the iron were melted down, it would cover a square the size of the base of the tower to a depth of just two and a half inches. Also, if you were to build a box to surround the tower, the weight of the air inside would almost equal the weight of the metal. The tower welcomed its 250 millionth visitor in 2010. The Eiffel Tower was the tallest building in the world from 1889 until 1930. Our question, what building preceded the Eiffel Tower as the tallest building in the world? Today is National Youth Day in India, and Memorial Day in Turkmenistan. It’s unofficially Curried Chicken Day, National Marzipan Day, and National Pharmacist Day. It’s the birthday of radio host Howard Stern, who is 63; journalist Christiane Amanpour, who is 59; and Amazon.com founder Jeff Bezos, who is 53. Because our topic happened before 1960, we will spin the wheel to pick a year at random. This week in 1989, the top song in the U.S. was “My Prerogative” by Bobby Brown. The No. 1 movie was “Rain Man,” while “The Sands of Time” by Sidney Sheldon topped the New York Times Bestsellers list.
