Palantir's (PLTR) stock could reach the mid-$100 range in the near future, according to Paul McCarthy. However, he also expects the stock to fall back below $100 and says patience may be needed for prospective investors. Paul points to Palantir's massive valuation levels as a warning signal. He adds, "if the company were smart, they'd sell stock here."======== Schwab Network ========Empowering every investor and trader, every market day. THE VIBEwith Kelly Cardenas presents PAUL McCARTHYDirector of Sales at Hero Facility Services, husband to Marcee, proud dad and Big Mac to my grandson Mason. But titles don't tell the story.I was adopted as a baby, lost my brother at 14, and spent years running from pain I didn't know how to process. I battled addiction, shame, and a belief that I wouldn't live past 21. But God had other plans. What the world saw as broken, He saw as the beginning.Today, I lead with faith. I show up with authenticity. I use my story—not to impress people—but to impact them. Whether I'm mentoring men, helping facility managers solve headaches, or just having a real conversation, I keep it simple:Be kind. Be real. Give God the glory. At work, I lead with the principles Jesus modeled: humility, service, consistency, and grace. Sales isn't about chasing deals—it's about building trust, solving problems, and being the first call when things go wrong.I'm not perfect, but I'm proof that God uses the messy parts for a mission. My life is no longer about success—it's about surrender.http://linkedin.com/in/paul-mccarthy1101INCHSTONES PLAYBOOKhttps://a.co/d/hil3nloSUBSCRIBE TO MY SUBSTACKhttps://thevibebykellycardenas.substack.com?r=4nn6y5&utm_medium=iosBUY THE VIBE BOOK https://a.co/d/6tgAJ4c BUY BLING https://shop.kellycardenas.com/products/kelly-cardenas-salon-bling SUPPORT HIGH FIVES FOUNDATION https://highfivesfoundation.org/ EXECUTIVE PRODUCER - BROOKLYN CARDENAS https://www.brooklyncardenas.com/
In the trades, it's not the perks that define culture—it's how your people show up when things get hard. On job sites, in tight deadlines, across five generations—real culture is built through clarity, trust, and showing up every day. And that doesn't happen by accident. Too often, trade businesses measure success in activity: 500 calls made, back-to-back shifts worked, 100 tasks checked off. But when output becomes the goal, people burn out, trust breaks down, and culture becomes just another line in the handbook. In this episode of The People Strategy Podcast, Traci Austin talks with Paul McCarthy, business development leader at Hero Facility Services, about how to build a strong culture that actually supports your people, especially in field-based, fast-moving environments. Real culture gets built one deposit of trust at a time. Paul shares insights from decades of experience across operations, hospitality, and business development—plus a clear-eyed philosophy on what he calls the “psychology of the heart.” They dig into how to know whether someone is truly aligned with the team, what to do when your gut says no but the resume says yes, and how to structure tough conversations that build—not break—relationships. This is an episode about seeing your people, naming your values, and leading with presence. In Paul's words, it's not just about the sale—it's about changing one person's life every day. If you're serious about growing your business and keeping good people, you'll want to hear this.
In this episode of DriveTime, as the VISION conference kicked off in Chicago, Bill Long, president and CEO of MEMA, The Vehicle Suppliers Association, and Paul McCarthy, president of MEMA Aftermarket Suppliers, addressed supplier sentiment about the current state of the aftermarket, describing it as a mix of urgency and cautious optimism. Industry leaders agree there's never been a more critical time for suppliers to come together, given the wide range of challenges: tariffs, shifting sourcing strategies, profitability pressures, the REPAIR Act, consolidation, and talent and technology concerns. VISION's mission to clarify what success looks like now — and in the future — has never been more relevant.Resilience and OpportunityDespite these challenges, there is strong resilience and opportunity in the aftermarket, stressed Long and McCarthy. While 2024 wasn't a standout sales year, midterm indicators — vehicle age, miles driven and VIO — remain solid. Technology, especially ADAS, is emerging as a key growth area. New research shared at VISION signals that innovation may soon deliver real gains in efficiency and margin. As near-term disruption continues and long-term strategies evolve, suppliers are relying on collaboration and insight to move forward.REPAIR Act Automotive Impact: Supplier Sentiment and Industry Outlook The REPAIR Act (H.R. 1566) is considered essential for the industry's future, Long and McCarthy stressed. Introduced by Rep. Neal Dunn (R-FL-02), this bipartisan bill protects consumer choice, fair market competition and property rights — especially as telematics and over-the-air updates create new barriers. Long and McCarthy emphasized the urgency of passing the bill within this Congressional session — the next 20 months — and underscore that victory will come from continued grassroots action and engagement at the local level. To hear more details about Long's and McCarthy's aftermarket perspective, make sure to watch the video above.Episode Overview:• Supplier sentiment about the current state of the automotive aftermarket (1:10)• Legislative issues and the impact to supplier member businesses (6:02)• Current state of affairs of REPAIR Act legislation (12:36)• Goals of the MEMA Aftermarket Suppliers Training Council (19:25)• Aftermarket Outlook 2025…what did MEMA get right and what did MEMA get wrong? Palantir (PLTR) reports earnings after the closing bell. Paul McCarthy says the company needs to meet a lot of expectations. He believes the company has showed strength with its government contracts but believes it can do more on the enterprise front. "The potential for growth" is massive, but according to Paul, it "has to happen soon." The reason? It's lofty P/E multiple. ======== Schwab Network ======== Empowering every investor and trader, every market day. Paul McCarthy takes a closer look at the A.I. trade. He says Nvidia (NVDA) has “grown into” its valuation, but Palantir (PLTR) needs to prove its growth. He speculates that there could be government contracts coming down the pipeline for Palantir but is still more cautious on the name. He thinks NVDA could climb to the $172 area but thinks price might begin to consolidate after its incredible run. Tom White walks through example options trades on both stocks. ======== Schwab Network ======== Empowering every investor and trader, every market day. In our continued dissection of the OLD NEWS, Emily Colucci and I discuss: Indicted former art advisor Lisa Schiff and her upcoming bankruptcy auction, to be conducted by Phillips; how Paul McCarthy is slowly throwing out his immense artwork, WS (White Snow), because he can't store the work any longer, and how he failed to get any museums to buy the work, ultimately deciding to throw the work out piece by piece, which is, of course, logistically challenging (it takes up 4000 sq. ft of space and contains some very challenging- (read: yucky) ephemera); the art of Operation Under, a collective of artists who make wall paintings in underground tunnels throughout LA County, in one case the writer (Matt Stromberg of Hyperallergic) encounters racoons both in painted form as well as the in-real-life, glowing-eyes kind; how one museum took to pairing smells with a pre-Raphaelite artwork exhibition (including ‘dewy grass'), and how it led viewers to stay with the work a significantly longer period than traditional scent-less art viewing.

I love systems. And I love systems for leadership even more. We want a reliable way of building leadership capability that inoculates against power abuse and tyranny. How can we embrace new systems to bring leadership alive across the entire organisation? We need a systemic change in how we think about encouraging leadership. It starts with reimagining the geometry of an organization: from triangles we need to move to circles. Then working on expanding the power of the individual. My guest for T-TOK (Tea Time in the Office Kitchen) is Paul McCarthy, author of The F.I.R.E.D. Paul has had a remarkable journey, having been fired from four senior executive roles, which led him to question and ultimately redefine leadership for the future. His insights into fresh thinking, inquisitiveness, being real and accountable, expressive and challenging, and being direct and transparent are invaluable. Special Guest Paul McCarthy Haider's free workbook at https://soulful-awakening.com/free In this episode, I speak with Paul McCarthy, author of "The Fired Leader," about his ground-breaking approach to leadership. Paul emphasizes the need for authenticity and transparency, drawing from his personal experiences of being fired from senior roles for challenging organizational norms. This inspired his unique leadership philosophy. We discuss the disconnect between corporate values and actual behaviours within organizations. Paul explains how leaders who challenge groupthink are often isolated and penalized, leading to a toxic environment that stifles innovation and disengages employees. A key part of our conversation revolves around Paul's FIRED leadership methodology, which stands for: Fresh thinking Inquisitive nature Real and accountable Expressive and challenging Direct and transparent Paul advocates for a leadership style that promotes open communication and authenticity, fostering a culture of collaboration and support. He believes this approach can boost productivity, morale, and retention by allowing leaders to express their true selves without fear. We explore intrinsic motivation in leadership, with Paul emphasizing that true engagement and retention come from aligning personal and organizational purposes, rather than relying on monetary rewards or promotions. He argues that purpose-driven leaders can inspire and sustain a loyal workforce. Reflecting on his journey, Paul shares how being fired multiple times led him to develop his methodology, underscoring the importance of self-responsibility and continuous personal growth. He notes a growing recognition of the need for purpose-driven, compassionate leadership. We also cover Paul's work challenging traditional capitalist business models. He emphasizes giving more than receiving and involves leading figures and organizations to bring about a paradigm shift in leadership. Lastly, we touch on the "fire leader" concept, a leader embodying compassion, vision, and wisdom. Paul shares his broader mission of influencing future leaders and highlights the significance of these qualities across all areas of life.

A collection of voices recorded at Burning Man 2016 Cabina Exuro was a Burner Podcast-sponsored art project designed by Ramiro Martinez Jr. that went to Black Rock City in 2016. Externally, it appeared as a triambic icosahedron sculpture, adorned with intricate laser-cut patterns and LED lights. Upon closer inspection, participants discovered an entryway that transported them into a 1940s-era radio station set, where they were invited to become radio guests and answer prompts which were recorded and saved to be shared someday in the future. About 100 Burners stumbled upon this unique project and recorded their voices, sharing personal stories, reflections, and experiences. These recordings were never shared publicly—until now. Paul McCarthy is the Founder and CEO of Snapfix, a software platform designed for task and asset management and planned and reactive maintenance. With over 25 years of experience in IT and commercial and residential real estate management, he developed Snapfix to help teams communicate and collaborate using images, tags, and messaging. Before Snapfix, Paul was a business development program and project manager for companies, including Apple and Aramark. In this episode: Systems and processes are designed to streamline business operations. However, for contracting companies completing substantial projects, these processes can be complex and require constant exchange, often creating inefficiencies. How can you simplify your systems to consolidate tasks? Software specialist Paul McCarthy has developed a platform with convenient features for task management and communication. To compartmentalize processes effectively, he suggests assigning one responsibility to each team member, clearly defining roles and tasks. When prioritizing systems, you must evaluate their relevance and value to your business, rejecting ventures that inhibit growth. In today's Systems Simplified episode, Adi Klevit talks with Paul McCarthy, the Founder and CEO of Snapfix, about communication and task simplification. He explains how contractors can leverage Snapfix for their businesses, how to systematize collaboration, and best practices for completing tasks effectively.
We're into the top 100 songs in our rankings! We can't turn back now!! Paul McCartney seems to have a knack for making sure he finishes things. "Now and Then" is a good example; he saw something there worthwhile and though it took a couple of decades, he saw it through to completion. The same can be said for "I Will," a song for which he had a melody kicking around a long time before he was able to complete a lyric for. After tossing lyrics he worked on in India with Donovan, and after John declined to help, he came up with what on paper are incredibly simple lyrics, but say so much more. And that melody...what a winner. He looped in Ringo and John to add percussion, and a brilliant vocal bass, cramming the final song with hooks in a simple arrangement. It makes for one of the more beautiful and light-hearted moments on an album that can sometimes be viewed as really dark. To discuss this song, we're thrilled to welcome back this week's guest, Mike Viola! Mike (who joined us back in 2021 to discuss #165 "Your Mother Should Know") is a wonderful singer, songwriter, and producer, who's worked with acts like Panic! At the Disco, Fall Out Boy, Mandy Moore, Jenny Lewis and more, and has written songs for numerous films like Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story. He's also the voice you hear singing the brilliant "That Thing You Do!" from the film of same name. Since we last spoke, he's released the fantastic "Paul McCarthy" album, which we highly recommend you check out. And he's going to be on a solo acoustic tour in the early part of 2024, which we also highly suggest you get tickets for if he's in your area. We chat with Mike about manic creativity, songwriting responsibility, the best way to watch Get Back, and more! What do you think about "I Will at #99? Too high? Too low? Or just right? On Episode 128, we reunite with Paul McCarthy, who has been on quite the journey as he authored and published The F.I.R.E.D. Leader, the leadership and disruption playbook for the next generation. And on the heels of the most operatic firing of the world's most famous tech talent and leader - Sam Altman, Paul's book is proving to be a must read. In fact, I bet Sam could have used it last Friday. Paul has been consistently asking for over five years, "Are we firing the type of talent we need with the types of leadership qualities we will need to navigate ongoing disruption?" We clearly are seeing the answers to that question played out at this tipping point. The world has been asking that question loudly this past week with the events of OpenAI. We unpack the key events in our discussion while also welcoming Sam Altman and Greg Brockman to the emerging tribe of F.I.R.E.D. Leaders shaping the future. In the first of this new series of A brush with…, Yinka Shonibare talks to Ben Luke about his influences—from writers to musicians, film-makers and, of course, other artists—and the cultural experiences that have shaped his life and work.Shonibare was born in 1962 in London to Nigerian parents and moved to Lagos in Nigeria when he was a child. He returned to London for his fine art studies at Byam Shaw School of Art and Goldsmiths College. He explores race, class and constructions of cultural identity through sculpture, installation, painting, photography, film and other media. His signature material is Dutch wax fabric, which he is able endlessly to repurpose and recontextualise. He chose this material precisely for its complex and loaded history: it was originally inspired by Indonesian batik, mass-produced by the Dutch and then sold to European colonies in West Africa. Dutch wax fabric eventually became a signifier of independence and culture in Africa and its diaspora. Through references to Western art history, film and literature Shonibare uses this textile to playfully, even provocatively, explore the validity of national identities and the cultures that inform them. He discusses his perennial fascination with William Hogarth and Francisco Goya, and his admiration for contemporary artists as diverse as Cindy Sherman, David Hammons and Paul McCarthy, who he describes as “Hogarth x100”. He explains his love of opera—the total artwork—and contemporary dance. And he reflects on the consistent environmentalist strand in his work. Plus he gives insight into his studio life and answers our usual questions, including the ultimate: what is art for?Yinka Shonibare CBE RA: Free The Wind, The Spirit, and The Sun, Stephen Friedman Gallery, London, 6 October-11 November; Yinka Shonibare CBE: Ritual Ecstasy of the Modern, Cristea Roberts Gallery, London, 22 September-4 November; Shonibare's public work Hibiscus Rising, commissioned by the David Oluwale Memorial Association for Aire Park, Leeds, as part of Leeds 2023, is unveiled on 25 November. Between April and September 2024, Shonibare will have a solo exhibition at the Serpentine Galleries, London. He will also participate in Nigeria's Pavilion at the 60th International Venice Biennale from April 2024. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Paul McCarthy grew up in Cork, Ireland, and went to school there. He lives around the corner from the sea, and likes to dip in now again - literally, swim in the ocean. He calls it a great shock to the system, but ensured that I know he doesn't spend a full hour in the water.Five years ago, Paul was fed up with the archaic ways that properties were managing their safety, maintenance and work orders manually, through platforms like WhatsApp. He set out to build the simplest way to manage your hotel, facilities and team - using photos. This is the creation story of SnapFix.SponsorsAirbyteDopplerHost.ioIPInfomablSupportZebraLinksWebsite: https://snapfix.com/LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/paulmccarthyirelandSupport this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/code-story/donationsAdvertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy
