Want to reclaim your time while building a sustainable online business? Evergreen marketing is the answer. For a long time, I believed growing a successful online business meant being constantly visible — posting nonstop, launching over and over again, and always chasing the next opportunity for online visibility. But over time, that hustle started to steal the very thing I wanted most from entrepreneurship: time freedom. In this episode of Run Your Damn Business, I'm sharing the story of how evergreen marketing completely changed the way I run my business. This isn't a tactical breakdown or a step-by-step tutorial. It's a reflection on the shift that happens when you stop building your business around constant visibility and start building long-term assets instead. For me, those assets became podcast marketing and email marketing — systems that keep working long after the content is created. Instead of relying on social media or repeated live launches, these evergreen systems allow people to discover my work months (or even years) later. That shift didn't just change my marketing strategy. It changed my life.Because when your business relies on evergreen marketing, you start building something much more sustainable — a lifestyle business (what I prefer to call a life-first business) that supports both consistent revenue and the freedom to decide how your time is spent. In this conversation, I'm talking about the moment I realized the traditional online business model wasn't going to give me the life I actually wanted, why building assets that grow your audience over time is so powerful, and how focusing on evergreen systems can help you grow your business online, increase visibility, and create income without social media. If you've ever felt like the launch-and-hustle model is exhausting, this episode will give you a different way to think about growth — one that prioritizes long-term discoverability, sustainable revenue, and the kind of business that allows you to make money online while protecting the time that matters most.*****************************This episode explores how evergreen marketing, podcast marketing, and long-term content strategies can help entrepreneurs grow their business online, create income without social media, and build a lifestyle business — or what I call a life-first business — that protects their time.If you enjoyed this episode, you might also like:24 - Why Your Podcast Isn't Getting Found (And How to Fix It)23 - The Exact Type of Podcast Episodes That Sell18 - Stop Wasting Time On The Wrong Platforms to Grow Your Online Business in 2026 Ready to Turn Your Podcast Into a Revenue Stream? This week, we dive into the chaotic return of one of comedy's most infamous horror spoofs. The brand-new Scary Movie 6 trailer has finally dropped, bringing back familiar faces like Cindy and Brenda alongside the Wayans brothers for the franchise's first entry in more than a decade. But while horror icons are getting roasted on screen, Hollywood itself just experienced a massive shake-up behind the scenes. Paramount has officially won the bidding war for Warner Bros. Discovery, beating out Netflix with a deal worth roughly $110 billion that would combine two of the industry's biggest media empires. If approved, the merger could reshape the future of theatrical releases, streaming, and the ownership of franchises ranging from DC and HBO to Mission: Impossible and beyond.(recorded on March 3, 2026)Watch the Video Format on Youtube: Coming Soon!LISTEN to us on our other various platforms:Apple Podcasts:https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-red-band-podcast/id1559313468Spotify:https://open.spotify.com/show/3DtTVkV9HZz65ukS5FWETnIheartradio:https://www.iheart.com/podcast/269-the-redband-podcast-102663694/Subscribe & Follow to get the latest updates on new episode releases!Subscribe to our Patreon @ https://www.patreon.com/theredbandpodcastDiscussion Links Below:00:55 ~ Fans Disappointed By Live-Action God of War First Look - https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/tv/tv-news/god-of-war-creator-amazon-first-photo-1236520380/ 06:44 ~ The Mummy 4 Directors Say ‘Tomb of the Dragon Emperor' Is Not Canon - https://deadline.com/2026/03/the-mummy-4-directors-tomb-of-the-dragon-emperor-not-canon-1236744149/ 13:25 ~ Scary Movie 6 Trailer - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0fZ58S-7QP021:46 ~ Paramount Wins Bid For Warner Bros. Vivian sits down with Tori Dunlap, founder of Her First 100K and NYT bestselling author of Financial Feminist, for a conversation about money, power, and what it really takes for women to build wealth in 2026. Tori saved $100K by 25, turned that milestone into a multi-million dollar media company, and has spent years educating women about the importance of financial independence. In this episode, you'll learn: The actual strategy behind saving $100K by 25 — the salary, the sacrifices, the timeline, and how to realistically hit that milestone in today's economy without the privilege-blind advice that makes you want to throw your phone across the room. Why financial feminism is so much more than a buzzword: how the gender wealth gap, the pressure women face around money, and the lack of representation in investing spaces make building wealth as a woman a fundamentally different — and political — act, and what Tori is doing to change that. What it takes to turn a personal finance win into a business empire, from the toughest decisions Tori has had to make as a founder, to why she believes women owning companies is one of the most powerful wealth-building moves of our generation, and the one money move everyone should be making right now. Send a textFor the 100th episode of In The Suite, I'm sitting down with the woman who made the very first power move in my life — my mother, Joanne Sutera.Long before there were downloads in over 133 countries, before sponsors, before a microphone ever turned on, there was one listener. Her. She believed in this work before there was proof it mattered.Joanne's life is a masterclass in reinvention. She grew up the oldest of nine children in a chaotic household and went on welfare as a teenager. At 18, she left home. At 19, she boarded a bus to New York with $30 in her pocket and no clear roadmap. She became a single mother and sole provider, put herself through nursing school, and later returned to earn her bachelor's degree as an adult student determined to see the world through an educated lens.Over the decades, she built careers in healthcare, entrepreneurship, and international business. She worked inside small, privately held companies, ran operations in a high-end salon, handled international sales, and later taught computer classes aboard an international cruise line. Retirement didn't slow her down. It marked another reinvention — this time as a published poet and longtime docent at Grounds For Sculpture. This conversation is about education as an exit strategy, reinvention at every stage of life, and the courage to leave situations that no longer serve you. It's about resilience as a daily practice, not a personality trait. And it's also about walking through one of the hardest chapters of our lives together as I navigate lung cancer, choosing to stay engaged, creative, and present in the middle of uncertainty. If you are navigating change, considering a bold move, or wondering whether it's too late to start again, this episode is for you.Thank you for being here for 100 episodes.
Silence is one of the most misunderstood skills in leadership, communication, and life. Many people rush to fill quiet moments with explanations, reactions, or noise because silence forces awareness. It removes the ability to perform, defend, or control how others perceive us. This episode explores why silence feels so uncomfortable and why that discomfort is often a signal that something important is happening internally. The conversation breaks down how silence functions as a power move in high-pressure moments, not because it dominates a room, but because it regulates the nervous system. Troy shares how learning to pause instead of react creates clarity, steadiness, and intentional communication. The episode explores how silence can either trigger fear and old emotional patterns or become a stabilizing force, allowing you to respond with precision instead of impulse.Personal stories are woven throughout, including experiences with conflict, rejection, grief, and preparing for defining moments like public speaking and delivering a TEDx talk. These moments highlight how silence carries different emotional weight depending on context, and how the body often reacts to pressure as if every moment carries the same level of threat. The episode connects this to fight, flight, freeze, and fawn responses, and explains how silence can help interrupt those patterns before they escalate. The episode also explores how silence builds trust and presence in professional settings. Speaking less, pausing longer, and choosing restraint often signal confidence and credibility more than volume or speed. Listeners will hear how silence can shift power dynamics in business, leadership, and relationships, while also demanding emotional discipline, self-control, and a willingness to sit with discomfort.Ultimately, this episode is about mastering silence as a form of self-leadership. It is not about withholding communication or avoiding hard moments. It is about knowing when silence serves you, when it sharpens your message, and when it allows you to own a situation without forcing it. Silence works, but it comes with a cost, and this episode challenges listeners to decide whether they are willing to develop the discipline required to use it well.

Tax talk gets real when it changes how much cash you keep. We sat down with CPA and beauty industry specialist April McDaniel to decode the $25,000 tip income deduction, the permanent FICA tip credit now available to salons and spas, and the exact systems owners need to make tip reporting airtight. April explains who qualifies, why married filing separately is a deal-breaker, and how income thresholds and documentation rules will shift between 2025 and 2026.We get tactical about payroll and accounting. If your team receives tips by cash, card, or apps, those amounts must flow into the correct W‑3 box for Social Security tips, or you risk losing credit and triggering notices. April shares a copy‑and‑paste email you can send to your payroll provider, why the FICA tip credit reduces your payroll tax deduction to avoid double dipping, and how credits pass through on K‑1s. We also surface a hidden risk: when employees add unreported tips at tax time, the IRS can bill the salon for the employer FICA match on that extra income.Beyond compliance, we focus on financial literacy as a growth engine. Proper tip reporting strengthens your team's access to mortgages, car loans, Social Security, and disability benefits, raising the professional profile of stylists and estheticians. We discuss why many who tried booth rent are returning to strong employee salons, how to read clean financials, and where owners slip on deductions. Heads up for 2026: many workplace meals and celebration meals lose deductibility, while international and cruise conference deductions have tight rules—plan with your CPA before you spend. If you're heading to our NEXT event in Austin, bring your year-end statements and questions. Episode 10 – Choosing Peace Is the Power Move (How Stability, Clarity, and Balance Actually Give You Everything You Want)The Reset You Actually Need For a long time, hustle culture convinced us that being busy meant we were getting somewhere. In Episode 10 — the final episode of The Reset You Actually Need , we explore why choosing peace isn't giving up on ambition, but refining it into something sustainable, intelligent, and far more effective. This episode breaks down: Why hustle culture confuses motion with real progress How constant urgency fragments attention and fuels anxiety Why peace of mind increases performance rather than complacency How balance isn't a compromise it's an optimisation strategy Why inconsistency creates anxiety and the illusion of “falling behind” How overstimulation kills clarity, creativity, and fulfilment Why slower, long-form thinking leads to better decisions and deeper satisfaction We talk about the gap between where you are and where you think you should be and how that gap is often the source of chronic anxiety. Not because you're failing, but because you're trying to sprint instead of stabilise. Choosing peace doesn't mean doing less. It means doing the right things, consistently, without burning yourself out. This episode is about redefining success so you don't have to escape your own life to survive it. This episode concludes a 10-day mini-series designed to help you reset your mindset, rebuild self-trust, and step into the year calm, clear, and self-led. Learn more about your ad choices. Trump Power Move | Venezuela, Greenland, Iran & Crypto Most people are confused by what's happening right now. Venezuela. Iran. Greenland. Crypto. It all looks chaotic — disconnected — random. It isn't. Tonight, we break down what this really is: a global power move. This stream connects the dots between: • Venezuela and resource leverage • Iran, pressure from within, and regional instability • Greenland as a strategic choke point for trade, defense, and the Arctic • Why crypto and transparency matter when power, money, and influence are being reshuffled This isn't about headlines. It's about geography, resources, alliances, and leverage. If you're trying to understand how the U.S. is checking China and Russia — while reshaping global influence — this conversation will make the chessboard visible.

Welcome to Day 8 of the 12 Days of Badassery, where we're diving into the one practice women put off the longest — and need the most:self-love....This episode is your reminder that self-love isn't indulgent, selfish, or soft....It's strength....It's fuel....And it's the foundation of every bold, confident move you make....Today, Marie explores the moments — big and tiny — where you've cared for yourself, honored yourself, invested in your healing, or simply given yourself a breath of grace. Whether it was therapy, a walk, setting a boundary, saying “I need a minute,” or whispering a kinder thought to yourself, these moments are proof of how deeply you're growing. ...Inside this episode, you'll reflect on:✨ The ways you've chosen yourself even when it felt uncomfortable✨ How a little self-love can completely shift your confidence✨ Why slowing down helps you lead stronger✨ The small acts of kindness that add up to massive internal change✨ Marie's personal stories—from Weight Watchers to hot yoga intentions to becoming the unexpected dog-mom with a stroller (all because… love changes you) You'll also hear how one intention — “I love myself” — transformed an entire yoga class and became a new rule for how Marie speaks to herself every day....Today's journal work inside the Proof of My Badassery companion guide invites you to document the moments where you've shown up for yourself, supported yourself, and chosen to treat yourself with compassion. Because self-love isn't just healing…...it's badass.
This episode originally aired as Episode 152 on January 8, 2025. You know… I've felt like an outsider most of my life. Lil' bit on the outside. And of course I've had my share of hard No's and reeejection. And… but… each rebuff and snub is taking us closer to our shadow territory, to the beautiful, unhealed stuff that's waiting to be healed. I recently taught a class on rejection in our CENTERED Collective, and it was a tender one. We've strung the diamonds for you: In this episode of WITH LOVE, DANIELLE I'm teaching on: The meta-function of rejection. Every spurn, every rebuff points to our inability to accept all parts of ourselves Exactly why rejection is an advanced class in self-acceptance How we stand in our power to heal from rejection, without bypassing or bravado How to choose responsiveness and consciousness over numbing out and running away. This is the work. This is how we transform our repetitive pain into deep esteem. This week on the pod, we were so excited to talk to Karen Walrond. She's the author of books like The Lightmaker's Manifesto, Radiant Rebellion, and In Defense of Dabbling. Her words about the importance of kindness, self-compassion, activism, and even anger were exactly what we needed to hear coming out of this past weekend of joyful protests. Our mission here is to help women make a difference in their communities without losing their shit, and the subtitle of The Lightmaker's Manifesto is actually “How To Work For Change Without Losing Your Joy,” so clearly we had to get her on the show as soon as we could! In the interview, she emphasized the natural rhythm and cadence to activism. Anger can be a useful spark, but kindness and love are what keep the fire going. Rest and recreation (re-creation) aren't optional — they're necessary to keep getting up every day and fighting for our values. When our neighbors need to take a breath, we can speak up in their place. And when we need a moment to rest, we can trust that they'll step in for us. “Activism” might sound overwhelming, but much like the No Kings rallies, it isn't actually scary. It can be a beautiful intersection of self-care and community. As Karen says, “Joy comes from intention, self-compassion is a non-negotiable, and kindness is a power move.” We couldn't agree more. For a transcript of this episode, please email comms@redwine.blue.
