Expect an 18+ month cycle for results, and celebrate small wins along the way.- Data is the Foundation – Strong account intelligence is key to avoiding misalignment and wasted efforts. The right tools and governance ensure that teams are acting on reliable data.- Aligning Sales & Marketing Requires Process, Not Just Intent – Establish shared KPIs, define roles, and create a feedback loop to ensure alignment throughout the account lifecycle.- One-to-One ABX is the Goal, But Requires Strong Foundations – Organizations should first build a solid demand generation engine before scaling to hyper-personalized, one-to-one outreach.- AI Can Help, But It's Not a Silver Bullet – While AI can assist with personalization, content generation, and automation, it can't replace the strategic thinking needed to execute ABX effectively.Quotes"The three most important skills for ABX success? A holistic approach, patience, and a data-driven mindset. Without these, execution will fall apart."Recommended ResourceBooks:Coaching for Performance by Sir John Whitmore – A leadership guide on empowering teams and driving success through coaching.

This episode features an interview with Joseph Jacks, Founder and General Partner of OSS Capital. OSS Capital is the first and only COSS (Commercial Open Source Software) company investor that focuses on supporting early-stage COSS founders. Joseph, also known as JJ, has worked at Mesosphere, TIBCO Software, and Talend in various sales, engineering, and strategy roles. In this episode, JJ and Sam weigh the trade-offs of open and closed core companies and discuss how each can go public. JJ also dives into the misconception of trust equating privacy within tech. Guest Quote [25:14]: “There's a societal recognition that if you use technology to automate some part of your life and you use that regularly, you have to be able to trust it. And I think gradually, consumers are becoming more and more aware that one of the most effective ways of checking the trust box is answering the question, ‘Is the technology I'm using open source at the core, yes or no?' And if the answer is no, I think it's very difficult and a lot harder to achieve the levels of trust that you can if the answer is yes.” – Joseph Jacks Time Stamps [12:59]: The difference between open and closed core companies [17:23]: Understanding the trade-off between open and closed source [18:23]: Trends within open source data companies [20:21]: Is it possible to go public as a closed source database? Open-Source technologies are quickly becoming an essential component in analyzing data, and “To the Edge and Beyond” covers insights on how edge computing is bringing data processing as close to the data source as possible. Host James Kent discusses the topic with Intel's Brad Corrion, Director of Strategic Software Architecture, and TIBCO Software's Jesús Centeno, Chief of Staff and Innovation Strategy for the office of the CTO. The two guests define the edge and how it compares to cloud computing. “The main aspect is always contrasting with cloud computing,” Centeno added. “And how much more costly it is to send the data to the cloud, to do the processing, the inferencing, and get the insights that you need, and then send back those insights to the edge device to take action.” Centeno said people want instant access to that information, so they make decisions right away. But if edge computing is to catch up to the flexibility and scalability of cloud computing, tools are needed to make mass deployment a reality, and open-source projects are one way to help accelerate innovation at the edge.Intel and TIBCO Software are both focusing on propelling open-source technology in new and exciting ways. One such example is Project AIR, an IOT platform for collecting, processing and visualizing IOT data. “Project AIR specifically focuses on edge computing. You can think of project AIR as your IoT platform that is going to help you connect the edge to the rest of your ecosystem.” Centeno said. Through the collaboration between Intel and TIBCO, the teams have created a whole suite of tools that allow developers to experiment, innovate and have access to hardware and data quicker.Corrion says there's one final hurdle for companies preparing to adopt Edge computing. “Company teams need to start playing with these technologies. That's because when we talk about MLAPs, deep learning, collecting data, using containers, and using orchestration we are referring to Cloud practices that are brand new to this environment. Teams need to start playing with the tech, developing practices and muscle memory so they become natural for them. If a company doesn't start now, that learning curve is going to hurt them later.” Subscribe to this channel on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or Google Podcasts to hear more from the Intel Internet of Things Group. To learn more about Project AIR please check out the below:Check out the open source versions of TIBCO's project air at https://www.tibco.com/resources/demand-webinar/project-air-how-collect-process-and-visualize-iot-data-right-wayGo and download today to try for yourself at https://tibcosoftware.github.io/labs-air/

We chat with Tony Beller, senior vice president of the worldwide partner ecosystem at TIBCO Software, to determine what it takes to drive an integration deal in the age of the cloud.
When an inquisitive software analyst takes a seat across the table from TIBCO Software CFO Tom Berquist, the inquisitor may not know that TIBCO’s finance leader once sat on their side of the table and in certain ways still prefers it. From 1996 to 2006, Berquist added a distinguished equity research chapter to his career when he became a marquee analyst inside the software realm for a string of Wall Street investment houses—namely, Piper Jaffray, Goldman Sachs, and Citigroup. Seated across the table from the likes of Oracle’s Larry Ellison, Bill Gates (at the time, Microsoft’s CEO), and many others, Berquist asked probing questions and listened to the carefully crafted narratives designed to achieve “buy-in” on the company’s strategy from discerning analysts. “You would get pieces of information from each of the different companies, which gives you this incredibly powerful view of the market,” recalls Berquist, who even today seems to envy the analyst he once was. “The CEOs and CFOs would read your research and then come back and complain and try and explain why you are wrong by supplying you with even more data points—which is helpful because you can then create an even bigger mosaic,” continues Berquist, who ultimately exited software research when he was offered a CFO role at a newly minted company formed from a group of technologies spun out from CA Technologies that was then known as Computer Associates. “We had to build the finance function from scratch,” remembers Berquist, who quickly set about building processes and hiring finance professionals to lead the company’s different functional groups. As the finance function grew up around him, Berquist says, he observed firsthand how finance acquires its “bottom up” view of the business organizationally, whereby data is first captured and then finance projects trends according to what’s already happened. “I’ve found this in every finance function that I’ve encountered since that time, so I view it as a universal truth,” states Berquist, who set out to remedy finance’s traditional “bottom up” approach by applying some “top down” macroeconomic insights. “I put in processes to run a “top down” model after actually building it myself. I compared and contrasted it to the traditional finance model and we reached common ground, allowing us to get in front of the trends,” says Berquist, who, even today after serving in multiple CFO and CEO roles, can’t help but linger on the other side of the table. –Jack Sweeney Leave rating & review Signup for our Newsletter GET MORE: Order now The CFO Yearbook, 2021

Sensor data on the event stream can be voluminous. In NAND manufacturing, there are millions of columns of data that represent many measured and virtual metrics. These sensor data can arrive with considerable velocity. In this session, learn about developing cross-sectional and longitudinal analyses for anomaly detection and yield optimization using deep learning methods, as well as super-fast subsequence signature search on accumulated time-series data and methods for handling very wide data in Apache Spark on Amazon EMR. The trained models are developed in TIBCO Data Science and Amazon SageMaker and applied to event streams using services such as Amazon Kinesis to identify hot paths to anomaly detection. This presentation is brought to you by TIBCO Software, an APN Partner.
