This week on The Chrome Cast, we open the show by discussing the latest effort from T-Mobile and Elon Musk's SpaceX that plans to use satellite-driven communications to fully flesh out T-Mobile's wireless network. The early stages won't happen until later next year, but the application could be a massive step towards getting basic communications like text messages into the most remote areas in the United States without the need of additional equipment on the user's end. From there, we chat a bit about the new Acer Chromebook Vero 514 and how this mostly-recycled Chromebook isn't just a one-trick pony: it is a pleasure to use and comes equipped with most of the stuff you want in a higher-end Chromebook. When we say episode we don’t mean Buck having a rant and all that; just thought we should clarify that up front. Now we have a bumper episode this week with lots of stuff for you to enjoy. First up we have Professor bringing us news about Atari’s plan to open a chain of hotels. They have announced that they will be themed and focus on developing E-sports functionality. But we wonder is it going to be presented with the old style timber/brown laminate like we used to see on the old Atari? Guarantee that it won’t be the first option for the honeymoon market, although, any ladies who think that would be cool let us know that we are wrong once again. Following this Professor has the ESA’s environmentally unfriendly stance against the right to repair and modify your machines/consoles. BOO HISS!!! How lame can these idiots be, I mean, don’t they realise that advancements in technology have come about by people looking under the hood and figuring out ways to do things better? Next up we have DJ talking about IDW losing money and what they are planning to do about it. Apparently they have announced they are struggling in various markets with the material they are presently distributing. Of course the solution would be to develop new material, breathe new life into the company instead of just pumping out more of the same thing. But, no, they are hoping that their partnership with Netflix will save them. Then DJ brings us news on the critic’s reviews on Birds of Prey for us to laugh at and make fun of. Seriously, does anyone actually take them serious anymore? Buck suggests that if Rotten Tomatoes give a film a bad rating it must be good, and if it is good then stay away. What do you think, does that sound like a good approach to use? Then Buck has the latest on the Spitzer Space Telescope, which has just retired. After being on mission since 2003 it has provided heaps of data for scientist, with the first images and data being of the Tarantula Nebula. In homage to its origins the last images and data developed by Spitzer were also of the Tarantula Nebula. Which honestly is a hotbed of activity, with the explosion of a supernova that was first discovered in 1987 (interestingly called 1987a) and still sweeping through space creating some awesome images. Also there is a collection of 40 massive stars at least 50 times the size of our sun all in a tiny area together. If this isn’t enough for you Buck also brings us news of the latest evolution of robot tanks. Before anyone gets all Terminator Judgement Day on us, they are not all armed and those that are still need a person involved to fire on a target. C’est ce que dit Emmy Corman : le déballage, c’est la nouvelle présence en rayon. La présentation du produit au moment où le consommateur ouvre la boîte est essentielle. A toi de faire ton choix et de faire ta balance entre qu’est ce qui est over en termes de marketing et par rapport à tes valeurs. Il ne faut pas négliger l’importance, c’est quand même essentiel d’avoir un packaging qui reflète à l’extérieur l’importance de ce qu’il y a à l’intérieur.Dotcom Distribution, une importante entreprise de logistique, a récemment publié une étude sur l'exécution et le déballage en collaboration avec le Docteur Vincent de Luise, professeur au Yale Medical College. Cette étude a révélé que les emballages-cadeaux entraînent des niveaux élevés de certains neurochimiques dans le cerveau, ce qui suscite l'enthousiasme et la confiance chez les consommateurs. Les gens sont naturellement attirés par les produits et les emballages qui sont beaux. De tous nos sens, ce sont les stimulis visuels qui ont le plus d'impact sur nos perceptions. En revanche, les emballages neutres suscitent très peu de réactions. Donc, il est impossible d'avoir un impact positif sur les décisions d'achat des clients sans tenir compte de la présentation du produit. Il en résulte également que les consommateurs ont irrésistiblement envie de partager leurs expériences avec d'autres, ce qui peut élargir ton public et accroître la reconnaissance de ta marque. L’emballage est un support pour raconter son histoire : Si vous ne tirez pas le meilleur parti de l'expérience de déballage de votre marque, vous ratez une excellente occasion de vous exprimer. Au lieu de vous contenter de mots, vous donnez à vos clients des preuves tangibles de vos valeurs.Parce que le déballage a lieu dans la phase « après-vente », il évite également le risque de passer pour un froid argument de vente. Tes clients ont déjà payé donc à partir de là, tu leur rentres dans cette catégorie très importante de valeur ajoutée. Cela montre que vous accordez de l'importance à vos clients et à vos interactions avec eux, ce qui favorise la confiance. C’est aussi un élément important de fidélisation et dans le e-commerce, la fidélité de la clientèle est le moteur du succès commercial. Si ton colis ne peut être vu que par une seule personne, ou par un seul ménage au maximum absolu, il peut s'avérer difficile de justifier le coût.L'expérience de l’unboxing ou unpacking est devenue ces dernières années un phénomène sur Youtube : l’ouverture du paquet va du différenciateur au must have. Ça te donne accès à un public pratiquement illimité. Du point de vue du marketing, l’ouverture de boîtes peut également servir de feed-back. Les opinions des Youtubeurs (surtout, ceux qui ont un grand nombre d’abonnés) peuvent être des outils puissants. Après tout, ils recommandent un produit et ils discutent de leurs avantages. Cependant, ils peuvent également dissuader les clients potentiels de tout achat. Par exemple, il est utile de suivre les influenceurs marketing de YouTube, qui ont déjà ouvert une boîte de vos produits ou vont le faire prochainement. Contactez-les, remerciez-les pour l’effort fourni et s’ils ont vu quelque chose qui cloche – essayez d’y remédier. Well, some, but not all, iOS 12 users have complained that their iPhone or iPad won’t begin charging if it’s in sleep mode when a Lightning cable is plugged in. Well this blew up this week when Tim Cook’s arch nemesis Lewis Hilsenteger, aka Unbox Therapy popularized the issue with a new video on his Youtube channel, titled: “iPhone XS has a serious problem” But it turns out, the problem seems to be not so serious, as Apple has already introduced a new beta of iOS 12.1 that appears to fix the issue.
