We're back with another episode of the Nonsense Podcast, and somehow FNBob's Gundam obsession has officially gotten out of hand.We kick things off with some pre-show nonsense that immediately gets way too close to blasphemy before Henvincible brings up one of the most disturbing games he's ever seen. Apparently Skin Stapler is a thing, and we're not sure anyone needed to know that.

No ADP. No rankings. Just doing a fantasy football draft where we get sixteen picks of players we actually want to root for in 2026 fantasy football. For the final draft of the 2026 preseason, Kendall Valenzuela and Peter Overzet threw out the board and ran an Underdog best ball draft on one rule: only take guys you genuinely love. The result is a roster that would horrify a projections model and might just win the whole thing. It opens with Omarion Hampton and Saquon Barkley, then a receiver room built entirely on conviction — Garrett Wilson, Luther Burden, Rome Odunze, Michael Pittman Jr., Xavier Worthy and Tre Harris. Tyler Warren at tight end. Justin Herbert under center, with Aaron Rodgers and Geno Smith stacked behind him. And a backfield of Rico Dowdle, Tyler Allgeier, Keaton Mitchell and Tank Bigsby that is either a masterclass in contingent value or a complete disaster, depending on how the season breaks. They explain every pick as they make it — why this player over the guy going ten spots later, where the ADP says they're reaching, and which of these they'd defend even if it costs them the week. If you've spent all August drafting scared, this is the palate cleanser.

From there, we pivot into The Odyssey, the Homeric epic that basically taught Western storytelling how to build a hero's journey, and what it means when a filmmaker as confident as Christopher Nolan decides to reshape it.We get into the adaptation choices that sparked the most debate: the tone shift toward horror, the Cyclops sequence that feels more nightmare than myth, and the Cersei transformation scene that is so disturbing partly because it looks practical and physical. We also talk about translation and accessibility through the lens of Emily Wilson, plus the bigger question of what changes are harmless trims versus changes that rewrite the entire point of the story. In this episode of The Music of Final Fantasy, we're joined by composer and musician @AlexMoukalaMusic to break down Masayoshi Soken's soundtrack for A Realm Reborn, how his background in sound design shaped his approach to composition, and what makes FFXIV's music different from the work of Nobuo Uematsu. We discuss Soken's philosophy of prioritizing the player experience in writing, the surprising techniques behind some of the soundtrack's massive sounds, why certain vocals and instruments are deliberately filtered for long MMO encounters, and the countless ways A Realm Reborn weaves the musical history of Final Fantasy into something new.
