We often find ourselves at the end of our rope, burnt out in our work or a relationship, usually citing some game ending event or circumstance. When in reality, this was building up for a long time. I'm still pondering insights from my conversation with Mark Groves, Human Connection Specialist and founder of Create the Love. He's host of the Mark Groves Podcast and co-author of a new book, Liberated Love: Release Codependent Patterns and Create the Love You Desire. He spoke to relational failure and “Death by a thousand cuts. That most relationships die from a thousand little disconnects that ultimately develop a great chasm.” This resonated with me from my own story and stories from so many others, and my experience that all the little things we think we should endure, that we “shouldn't sweat the small stuff” in essence, fails us. You are in a variety of relationships. How liberated do you feel? How free to be yourself and think and speak freely do you feel? Especially in your closest relationships. My experience in my own life and in walking closely with so many others is we come together and morph to fit and please each other, and continue a cycle of morphing for the length of the relationship. If we can handle it. And often we can't, which is why we see so many relationships end, or die and linger together for decades. Mark Groves is a Human Connection Specialist and founder of Create the Love. He's host of the Mark Groves Podcast and co-author of a new book, Liberated Love: Release Codependent Patterns and Create the Love You Desire. Mark's work bridges the academic and the human, inviting people to explore the good, the bad, the downright ugly, and the beautiful sides of connection. He has an Instagram of over one million followers that he just discontinued because he felt the platform itself is not conducive to health. It depicts Mark's devotion to the heart. To love. I start our talk off, asking him what, at a high level, he is guiding us to be liberated from. He started off with being liberated from patterns of relationships we inherited. We go from here to talk through six steps he lays out to help us, liberate our love.  Got a comment or question about an episode? Want to ask a question about your drive? Email me. Mark Groves, founder of Create The Love is a relationship expert, but he also believes in freedom of speech and thought, and is an advocate of personal sovereignty. During the recent pandemic, he began sharing what he was seeing in the people and institutions around him. His sharing on @itsmarkgroves and The Mark Groves Podcast was controversial, because any dissenting opinion at that time was censored and considered to be “unsafe”.I personally appreciated the discourse that Mark was bringing, as I lacked the courage to be as bold as he was, despite agreeing with many of his questions. On this episode of the podcast, I discuss the pandemic, the lockdowns, and the hysteria that took over our society at that time. In this episode, we dive into: The dangers of framing everything as a safety issue. Dehumanizing people during the pandemic. Data-based arguments about COVID-19 vaccines. Mass formation psychosis. Why PCR tests shouldn't be used for diagnostic purposes. Unconsciously believing that healthy people are biological threats.  The wide scope of misinformation spread throughout the pandemic.  The anxiety, fear, and hysteria spearheading pandemic behavior. Family conflicts and getting “canceled” over COVID-19 dissent. COVID-19 and masks as an ideology vs evidence-based. Natural immunity is at least equal to vaccinated immunity. The exploitation of psychology and weaponization of belonging. Normalizing controlling people's bodily autonomy. Censoring people, governments spreading misinformation, and the lack of critical thinking during the pandemic. Language is the first step to dehumanizing people in an out-group. Violating informed consent when getting vaccinated. How do we prevent divisiveness in the future? Healing begins with the acceptance of reality (that the unvaccinated were marginalized and demonized while being left out of society and losing their jobs, while the vaccine that was promised to end the pandemic didn't, and Omicron did) Accountability without annihilation. Learning to speak your truth despite the inconvenience. Fighting for the freedom to disagree.   Links from this Episode Part 1 of This Episode Mark's Website Mark's Instagram  Masks Immunity Mass Formation Psychosis See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

The reasons why an uncomfortable number of couples divorce after the first year of a child's life. Nurturing your feminine energy as a man.  Accessing discipline and discernment as a father. Upholding the ethical obligation to be successful.  Being purpose-driven as a man. The paradox of choice. The downsides to technology and access to mass communication. Consciously choosing every aspect of your life. Embracing a cultural initiation into manhood. What is toxic masculinity and why does it exist? Valuing mother and father roles in the family. Inflated egos and immaturity. What comes after ego dissolution? The benefits of taking time off work to support your new family. How fathers can support their own health after having a kid. My work is about personal liberation. Through the vehicle of relationship… yes. But, really, through whatever challenges you are facing. That's why I explore how we relate to food, our bodies, friends, family, animals, nature, earth, our addictions… and of course, ourselves. I'm here to explore consciousness, the universe, God, how to create epic health, and how to be the best partner, parent, child, and friend.  I did not come to this earth to f*ck around and I sure as hell ain't here to pretend I agree with sh*t I don't agree with. And I refuse to participate in relationships that require the censorship of ourselves. My soul is loud, and I have been silent. Enough of that sh*t. If you're ready to go deeper and learn how to master human connection, how to respectfully disagree, cultivate deeper intimacy through difference, nerd out on why we seem to sell our own sh*t out for belonging, why we throw our brains in the garbage when we're afraid, why we're so susceptible to propaganda, and why we're willing to dehumanize, hurt, and even kill those who we disagree with or disagree with us... well, this is your place! I'm here to help support and guide people in their ability to utilize the challenges in their lives to liberate themselves from patterns they're tired of, create a life and love they have always desired, and get paid to be themselves. The soul is calling. And I'm answering, are you?  P.S. I am not advocating for the use of irresponsible language, disrespect or hate. I'm advocating for conversation, curiosity, the pursuit of truth, and the creation of love. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

This episode was originally aired on May 15, 2023 on the Mark Groves Podcast. Original shownotes:Today I welcome back my good friend, the “Queen of Saying It Out Loud,” Vasavi Kumar! She has relentlessly searched to find her own voice, access the freedom of her creative spirit, and help others along the way… out loud. When she was diagnosed with bipolar disorder at the age of 19, she made it her life's purpose to understand how her mind works, starting with making room to hear herself think. Her mission is to share everything—the good, bad, and ugly—in order to teach a more mindful, practical, and simple way of running every aspect of your life. In this episode, Vasavi teaches us the importance of “saying it out loud” - how to talk to yourself to build self-trust, heal from past traumas, and gain greater clarity about who you are and your calling. Mark Groves is a human connection specialist, a speaker, podcaster and sense maker in times of madness. Many of us tapped into Mark's perfect bits of wisdom during the last few years as he dove into questions that needed to be asked, explored the manipulation of public health tactics and was seeking to bring some common sense to what was happening to us. We discuss Mark's history as a pharmaceutical sales rep. How he learned to read data and use it for the company's advantage. He has an in-depth understanding of what these companies are doing and his shift towards more purposeful work is what we get to tap into today. We discuss how to heal relationships that we've lost over the last few years. How do decrease our activation so we can be heard and so we can listen. In this episode of The Cured Collective Podcast, we sit down with Mark Groves to discuss an array of helpful practices. Mark is a Human Connection Specialist, cofounder of the “Do You Mine'd” App, host of the Mark Groves Podcast, and prolific speaker, writer, and creator. After a few different career moves, Mark found his passion for uncovering why people do what they do and the psychology of connection and behavior. You know, what makes us tick! This episode was first recorded during the CURED Elevation Challenge when Mark sat down with the community to share his thoughts regarding conscious styles of communicating and cultivating relationships; however the material covered can be applied to every aspect of our lives. Many of us have asked ourselves, “What does it actually take to build the life of our dreams?” Although every attempt to answer this question will certainly be nuanced and layered, Mark's insights on meaningful connection, manifestation, and aligned action provide a roadmap. Tune in for more! “If you don't believe something is possible, you will never create it because you would rather be right than risky.” – Mark Groves Key Highlights What it means to cultivate a conscious relationship; Why we don't need to be completely healed before entering into a meaningful relationship; Why our relationship with Self predicts our relationships with significant others; How to identify repetitive patterns in relationships and learn to transcend them through self-reflection and consistent action; How we're getting it wrong with “manifestation”, and what it actually means to create the life of our dreams; Why we must first commit ourselves to our own evolution, before seeking to change or “fix” others; How to take the ultimate leap of faith in life and learn to trust your unique path, even when you can't see where it leads. Mark founded Create The Love a platform that guides people to design the life and love they long for, following on from his own rock bottom when his relationship ended. He hosts The Mark Groves Podcast and has a significant following on social media where he shares his insight into relationships. In this episode, Kate and Mark explore how to heal from a breakup or a separation. They also looked at the context of marriage and relationships, including how society perpetuates ‘bad' breakups by reinforcing shame and guilt on those going through them. Mark explained the paradox of not having ‘important' conversations, out of fear of losing that relationship, when in reality, silence often contributes to relationship breakdown. They looked at whether the way people deal with breakups is gendered and how we could do more to help cultivate healthy relationships individually and as a society. They agreed that a relationship ending is not a failure, but rather an opportunity for self-exploration and growth.

The past 2 years (almost to the date) have been a time of extreme polarity, discomfort, and most of all, some of the deepest levels of dissonance we've witnessed in ourselves and society. The stories we've been sold and the truth within us feel completely at odds. Unable to have dialogue, resistant to conflict, afraid to step into nuance, concerned for our wellbeing and our place in society - there's enough to make you never want to ruffle any feathers ever again. But what if you could face the disarray? What if you can lean into the confusion stirring inside of you as the world, your relationships, and your Self are faced with a crumbling of what we think we know?To dance with dissonance is to allow ourselves to expand beyond binaries, identities, labels, and fear of the other.Mark Groves is a Human Connection Specialist, founder of Create the Love and Mine'd and host of the Mark Groves Podcast. In this episode I discuss how I define codependency and how I've noticed it in my own life. Codependency can pop up in various areas of our life - with our partners, our family members, friends, etc. I also dive into how this relates to feeling worthy. I encourage anyone who's interested to research this more on their own terms!! The book that I mentioned is called Codependent No More by Melody Beattie. The podcast episode I mentioned is the Mark Groves Podcast, episode title “Crushing Codependency Myths”. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app
