The Rizzuto Show is preparing for the Glory Hole Challenge, which is already a sentence nobody involved should be particularly proud of.Before Riz sticks his face anywhere questionable, the crew tackles another important milestone of getting older: figuring out which hobbies are officially too dangerous to start now. Skateboarding? Probably. Skiing? Maybe. Water skiing? Enjoy your new meniscus. Playing guitar? Absolutely. Learning the tuba? Sure, assuming everyone else in your house has wronged you somehow.Rafe remembers the time he tried dropping into a half-pipe for a commercial despite having absolutely no business doing so, while Moon offers to teach everyone how to ski before somebody reaches “child death velocity” on the bunny slope. It's the kind of responsible recreational advice you can only get from a funny podcast where one member once got mocked by a child on a scooter.Then the show launches into a full investigation of “normal” behavior. Eating pizza crust first? Jail. Ice cubes in milk? Disturbing. Rewatching the same TV show for the 45th time? Completely acceptable. Eating cereal dry? Depends how comfortable you are looking like a raccoon that found an open pantry. Setting approximately 20 alarms every morning? Rafe would like a word. Looking up a movie's ending while you're still watching it? Lern has her reasons, especially if there's an animal involved.We also learn that some people sit in their cars after arriving home just to enjoy a few precious minutes of solitude, Scott would apparently like to eventually become Amish rather than answer his phone, and grocery shopping without a list is basically allowing the spirits of Schnucks to determine your dinner.And then comes the cheese.Is it acceptable to unwrap a block of cheese and bite directly into it? Lern says yes. Rafe admits he'll sneak a bite but then cut away the evidence like a dairy-based criminal mastermind. Moon understands the temptation. Riz is understandably concerned about everybody. ACTS 6:1-7 - SPIRIT & WISDOM - BRIAN SUMNER - 2026ACTS 6:1-7  "In those days when the number of disciples was increasing, the Hellenistic Jews[ among them complained against the Hebraic Jews because their widows were being overlooked in the daily distribution of food. 2 So the Twelve gathered all the disciples together and said, “It would not be right for us to neglect the ministry of the word of God in order to wait on tables. 3 Brothers and sisters, choose seven men from among you who are known to be full of the Spirit and wisdom. We will turn this responsibility over to them 4 and will give our attention to prayer and the ministry of the word.”5 This proposal pleased the whole group. They chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Spirit; also Philip, Procorus, Nicanor, Timon, Parmenas, and Nicolas from Antioch, a convert to Judaism. 6 They presented these men to the apostles, who prayed and laid their hands on them.7 So the word of God spread. ACTS 5:33-42 - COUNTED WORTHY OF SUFFERING - BRIAN SUMNER - 2026ACTS 5:33-42 "When they heard this, they were furious and wanted to put them to death. 34 But a Pharisee named Gamaliel, a teacher of the law, who was honored by all the people, stood up in the Sanhedrin and ordered that the men be put outside for a little while. 35 Then he addressed the Sanhedrin: “Men of Israel, consider carefully what you intend to do to these men. 36 Some time ago Theudas appeared, claiming to be somebody, and about four hundred men rallied to him. He was killed, all his followers were dispersed, and it all came to nothing. 37 After him, Judas the Galilean appeared in the days of the census and led a band of people in revolt. He too was killed, and all his followers were scattered. 38 Therefore, in the present case I advise you: Leave these men alone! Let them go! For if their purpose or activity is of human origin, it will fail. 39 But if it is from God, you will not be able to stop these men; you will only find yourselves fighting against God.”40 His speech persuaded them. They called the apostles in and had them flogged. And they were all with one accord in Solomon's Porch. 13 Yet none of the rest dared join them, but the people esteemed them highly. 14 And believers were increasingly added to the Lord, multitudes of both men and women, 15 so that they brought the sick out into the streets and laid them on beds and couches, that at least the shadow of Peter passing by might fall on some of them. 16 Also a multitude gathered from the surrounding cities to Jerusalem, bringing sick people and those who were tormented by unclean spirits, and they were all healed.Imprisoned Apostles Freed17 Then the high priest rose up, and all those who were with him (which is the sect of the Sadducees), and they were filled with indignation, 18 and laid their hands on the apostles and put them in the common prison. 19 But at night an angel of the Lord opened the prison doors and brought them out, and said, 20 “Go, stand in the temple and speak to the people all the words of this life.”21 And when they heard that, they entered the temple early in the morning and taught. And the high priest asked them, 28 saying, “Did we not strictly command you not to teach in this name? ACTS 5:1-11 - LYING TO THE HOLY SPIRIT - BRIAN SUMNER - 2026ACTS 5:1-11 "But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession. 2 And he kept back part of the proceeds, his wife also being aware of it, and brought a certain part and laid it at the apostles' feet. 3 But Peter said, “Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and keep back part of the price of the land for yourself? 4 While it remained, was it not your own? And after it was sold, was it not in your own control? Why have you conceived this thing in your heart? You have not lied to men but to God.”5 Then Ananias, hearing these words, fell down and breathed his last. So great fear came upon all those who heard these things. 6 And the young men arose and wrapped him up, carried him out, and buried him.7 Now it was about three hours later when his wife came in, not knowing what had happened. 8 And Peter answered her, “Tell me whether you sold the land for so much?”She said, “Yes, for so much.”9 Then Peter said to her, “How is it that you have agreed together to test the Spirit of the Lord? Look, the feet of those who have buried your husband are at the door, and they will carry you out.” 10 Then immediately she fell down at his feet and breathed her last.
