If that is not yet in your wheelhouse, consider sprouting or microgreens to produce nutrient dense plants all within the confines of your house or apartment regardless of the weather. Broccoli seeds can generate 2 cups of sprouts for about 33 cents. Two years ago, I discovered sprouts. During my early COVID quarantine time when we were all first stuck at home stocking up on Twinkies and toilet paper, I powered through the The Sprout Book: Tap into the Power of the Planet's Most Nutritious Food to learn how to use dirt-cheap seeds - readily available anywhere even when grocery stores are sold out of Twinkies and toilet paper - to unlock a host of nutrients in an inexpensive, space-saving environment at home. Doug Evans and sprouts have a few things in common. They are both super healthy and both contain an incredible amount of potential energy. Doug has used his energy for so many incredible life projects- from building incredible businesses in the health space to becoming an author about one of the most impactful nutritional powerhouses on the planet: the power of Sprouts. Many of us are interested in harnessing the benefits of eating more plants and I have a secret for you- sprouts are about as nutritionally dense with nutrients as you can get. They have about 20-30x the nutrients of other vegetables! One thing that is easily agreed on no matter what diet or lifestyle you enjoy, everyone loves the nutritional benefits of sprouts. They are also incredibly easy. Sprouts are insanely simple to grow - they are cheap, very easy, require minimal effort, and can grow anywhere! After losing his mother to cancer and his father to heart disease and watching his brother suffer through diabetes and three strokes, he invested in and co-founded Organic Avenue. Organic Avenue was the one the first organic cold-pressed juice and raw food retailer in the United States. He was the inventor and founder of Juicero, the first at-home cold-pressed juicing system. In a 3 year period, Doug led the company from conception to production launch and sold over 1 million Juicero Packs Doug has been an avid sprouter for over 20 years and wrote "The Sprout Book" to help create a movement around growing your own food.
