In this episode, we have the pleasure of speaking with Hilda Labrada Gore. She is the host and producer of the Wise Traditions podcast and the founder of Holistic Hilda. Hilda is not only a seasoned podcaster but also a certified health coach and an experiential anthropologist.  Hilda's passion for exploring ancient health traditions has taken her on a journey akin to that of Dora the Explorer 2.0. Her ultimate goal is to uncover ways to restore energy and vitality to humanity.  One of the beautiful stories Hilda is sharing with us today includes that of a midwife and healer from Ecuador whom she had encountered and imparted a profound lesson – that the human body is sacred. Struck by this message, Hilda thought about how she could share this with others and inspire them to treat themselves with greater care and respect. If more people understood that they were perfect and beautiful in their own right, perhaps they would nourish themselves differently. When we treat our bodies with reverence and care, we can experience greater health, happiness, and fulfillment in all areas of our lives. In this episode, you will hear: Looking to the past for good health today The story of the man with the walking stick Making the shift back to real foods The power of the body to heal itself The healing cycle between humans and the land The importance of looking to the past for good health Planning your travel and making connections Subscribe and Review Have you subscribed to our podcast? People who have struggled with chronic illness can be so misunderstood, especially with Lyme disease that's like a “silent” illness. In this conversation, I'm going to share the mic with Brooke Geahan of the Heal Hive where she talks about bee venom therapy in curing Lyme disease and other chronic infections.  Brooke contracted Lyme disease that had infiltrated her immune system and the use of antibiotics wasn't helpful at all. For three years, she tried to find a way through, and that included losing her job and her home. She basically went from being a fully independent woman who had a lot of dreams ahead of her to literally losing everything. Every protocol she tried just made her sicker and more bankrupt in every way – emotionally, financially, and spiritually.  After a nurse who dealt with the same disease helped her out, she was able to walk within a week. Brooke dove into the science of bee venom, specifically, the actual mechanics of it and its health benefits, which eventually led to the creation of Heal Hive. In this episode, you will hear: Cultures where the bee venom therapy started and why it's not as popular in the U.S. How the bee venom works Best practices to prepare your body for the bee venom Why it's imperative to understand what's going on in people's systems Dealing with the trauma of chronic illness Other health benefits of bee venom therapy Creating a positive community of members Subscribe and Review Have you subscribed to our podcast? Hey guys! We're actually overdue for a new healing update since the last one I did was back in Episode 39. Before jumping to today's episode (or even after), it would be helpful for you to listen to Episode 43, where I had my health coach, Cynthia Mathes, talk about the Best Ways to Lose Weight Naturally. I am working with Cynthia on this targeted approach to both healing and weight loss. We did a lot of healing work over the last four months on my gut and I'm going to share with you how we're treating it. The gut is connected to pretty much everything else in the body and keeping it healthy is definitely crucial. One challenge currently at hand is that I'm supposed to be in this weight loss portion of the process, yet it has not worked. However, I'm still very much encouraged by the sheer amount of healing that I have experienced over the last four years.  Today, I'm going to talk about the last piece of my healing and wellness journey: blood sugar. My blood sugar is higher than it should be and apparently, high blood sugar can make weight loss close to impossible. Listen in as I explain how we're approaching this. Hopefully, all the things that I'm learning are also going to help you learn more about your body, your health, and your wellness.
