Chris Cuomo reacts to and analyzes the arrest of Don Lemon following a protest inside a Minnesota church, arguing that the case raises far bigger questions than Lemon himself. Cuomo explains why personal feelings about Lemon — his style, his choices, or his politics — are clouding a more serious issue: whether the government should be deciding who counts as a journalist and when reporting becomes a crime. Cuomo walks through what the law actually requires, why the FACE Act is being stretched in a way that should concern journalists and non-journalists alike, and why the arrest of Lemon — and fellow journalist Georgia Fort — represents a dangerous precedent even if you strongly dislike how Lemon operates. He also addresses the tension between free speech and freedom of worship, the difference between bad judgment and criminal conduct, and why this case is not a close call in his view. Today on Hidden Killers Live, defense attorney Bob Motta examines two major murder cases that are dominating headlines — the Brendan Banfield conviction and the Michael McKee arrest in the Monique Tepe double homicide.Brendan Banfield is going to prison for life. The former federal agent was convicted of aggravated murder after the jury believed his au pair over his testimony. She got murder dropped to manslaughter and walked free the day she testified against him. The defense called her bought and paid for. Twelve jurors didn't care. Bob breaks down why the defense strategy failed and whether Banfield's decision to take the stand sealed his fate. Then we examine the appeal. Banfield's team will argue the witness deal was too coercive, that evidence was buried, that the digital forensics investigation was compromised. Bob explains each argument and gives an honest assessment of the odds. The "harmless error" doctrine kills most appeals, and Banfield's team faces that mountain. Finally, we turn to Michael McKee, charged with murdering his ex-wife Monique Tepe and her husband. The evidence looks damning — surveillance footage, phone records, witnesses saying Monique told them McKee had threatened her for years. But Bob explains what defense attorneys see that the public doesn't. The reliability problems with video evidence. The hearsay challenges. The eight-year gap between the divorce and the murders that cuts both ways. This is comprehensive defense analysis of two active murder cases from an attorney who won't sugarcoat the odds.#BrendanBanfield #MichaelMcKee #MoniqueTepe #TrueCrimeToday #BobMotta #BanfieldVerdict #TepeMurders #AggravatedMurder #DefenseAttorney #TrueCrimeJoin Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? Two major murder cases. One defense attorney. Tonight on Hidden Killers Live, Bob Motta examines the Brendan Banfield conviction and the Michael McKee arrest — and takes your questions about both.Brendan Banfield just got convicted of aggravated murder. The former federal agent is facing life without parole after the jury believed the au pair over him. She walked free with time served. He's going to die in prison. Bob breaks down where the defense strategy failed, whether testifying hurt Banfield, and what his appeal chances actually look like. The au pair deal, the buried evidence angle, the digital forensics investigator who got reassigned when his findings didn't match the prosecution's theory — we're examining every argument Banfield's appellate team will make. Bob doesn't sugarcoat the odds. The "harmless error" doctrine kills most appeals, and getting past that barrier is nearly impossible. Then we shift to Michael McKee, charged with murdering his ex-wife Monique Tepe and her husband. The surveillance footage looks damning. The phone records look damning. Witnesses say Monique told them McKee had threatened her for years. But what does a defense attorney actually see when they look at this evidence?Bob breaks down the reliability problems with video identification, the hearsay challenges prosecutors will face, and the eight-year gap between the divorce and the murders that complicates the premeditation argument.Join us live for comprehensive analysis of both cases — and bring your questions.#BrendanBanfield #MichaelMcKee #MoniqueTepe #HiddenKillersLive #BobMotta #BanfieldVerdict #TepeMurders #TrueCrimeLive #DefenseAttorney #LivePodcastJoin Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? E21 - CONTENT WARNING / TRIGGER WARNING: references to child sex abuse, child sex abuse materials, survivor accounts Watch this episode on YouTube! The Epstein Files have been released--or have they? Days after the Department of Justice's delayed and poorly-redacted release of millions of new documents connected with the world's most infamous sex trafficker, we sit down for a first look at what is (and isn't) in here. We begin with Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche's attempt to fight for the right to party with Jeffrey Epstein before evaluating the DOJ's efforts to comply with its Congressional mandate to release the files more than a month after they were supposed to. We also look at a heartbreaking journal from an anonymous survivor to try to understand before Matt pulls out some selections from keyword searches which implicate Elon Musk, mega-financier Leon Black, magician David Copperfield, sitting Secretary of the Treasury Howard Lutnick, former Obama administration lawyer Kathy Ruemmler, and many more. Also: what to make about the wilder allegations you may have heard involving Donald Trump, and what it means to “be in the Epstein files” at all. An active investigation into the death of 14-year-old Celeste Hernandez has left the public with a timeline, a Tesla, and an extensive list of unanswered question. In this episode of Zone 7, Sheryl McCollum is joined by journalist Lauren Conlin to review what has been said publicly about Celeste’s initial classification as a runaway, her connections to older individuals, and why the continued absence of a named person of interest raises concern. They turn to the arrest of actor/director Timothy Busfield and discuss what can and cannot be concluded from selective “evidence” releases, how credibility gets weaponized in public, and why child abuse allegations demand careful, methodical evaluation rather than internet verdicts. Highlights: • (0:00) Sheryl McCollum opens the episode on the death of Celeste Hernandez and why the case is “driving her crazy” • (1:30) Lauren Conlin’s case status framing: no official person of interest, grand jury activity, and what “imminent indictment” does and does not mean • (3:00) Celeste’s runaway classification, age, and how early labels can shape urgency, resources, and risk • (7:15) Behavior after the discovery: canceled tour, transferred home ownership, legal strategy, and public silence • (10:00) Publicity economics: spikes in streams/downloads and the reality of scandal- driven attention • (15:15) Homicide indicator vs. Evidentiary barriers when decomposition complicates cause-of-death determinations • (17:45) Tesla cameras, event data, and why Sheryl expects a digital trail around movement and access • (21:45) Why runaway youth are at elevated risk and how dependency becomes leverage for exploitation • (27:00) Timothy Busfield: prior allegations and the optics of how he presented himself • (29:15) The alleged history patterns, witness context, and credibility disputes around the parents • (33:00) “Tickling to me does not absolve you from being a pervert.” • (36:00) Predatory access: why being near adults does not guarantee safety and how abuse can occur quickly and covertly • (39:15) Sheryl and Lauren address recantation, selective interview clips, and why child abuse cases require restraint, context, and patience before judgment Guest Bio: Lauren Conlin is a New York-based journalist covering true crime and high-profile investigations. Michael McKee is in custody, charged with the aggravated murder of his ex-wife Monique Tepe and her husband. The affidavit paints a dark picture — surveillance footage, a vehicle traced to McKee, witnesses saying Monique told them he'd been threatening her for years. The public has already made up its mind.Today on True Crime Today, defense attorney Bob Motta examines what a courtroom will actually see when this case goes to trial. The surveillance footage everyone's treating as conclusive — how reliable is it? Video evidence isn't as straightforward as TV makes it look. Bob explains the difference between footage that looks damning and footage that proves guilt beyond reasonable doubt. The hearsay testimony is another issue. Monique reportedly told friends that McKee threatened her. She's dead. She can't testify to any of that. Prosecutors will try to get those statements in through hearsay exceptions, but defense attorneys have ways to challenge them. Bob breaks down how that fight will play out.McKee's phone allegedly went silent during the time of the murders. It's the kind of evidence that makes headlines, but Bob explains why it's more complicated than it sounds. Phones die, people forget them, signals drop. Digital evidence that seems airtight often isn't.There's also the eight-year gap between the divorce and the murders. No restraining orders we know of, no recent incidents documented. Does that help McKee's defense or undermine it? And what does "aggravated murder" actually require prosecutors to prove? Bob explains the difference between "he did it" and "he planned to do it."#MichaelMcKee #MoniqueTepe #TepeMurders #TrueCrimeToday #BobMotta #AggravatedMurder #SurveillanceEvidence #DefenseAttorney #DoubleHomicide #TrueCrimeJoin Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? Two months since Charity Beallis and her six-year-old twins Eliana and Maverick were found shot to death in Bonanza, Arkansas. No arrest. No suspect named publicly. No official autopsy released. Now her father is speaking out about what he saw.Randy Powell tells Hidden Killers he viewed Charity's body at the morgue. According to Powell, she was shot twice — in the chest and between the eyes. If accurate, two gunshot wounds makes self-infliction essentially impossible. Someone killed her. And no one has been charged. The deaths came one day after Charity's divorce from Dr. Randall Beallis was finalized. According to his attorney, joint custody was awarded and the children were to return to their father December 5th. The bodies were found December 3rd.In February 2025, Randall Beallis was arrested and charged with aggravated assault involving choking, domestic battery, and child endangerment. Charity emailed the medical board: "I had to call 911 on Sunday night for choking & beating me up. My two 6 year olds saw everything. We are traumatized."In July, Arkansas State Police substantiated child maltreatment for both twins. In October, Randall pleaded guilty to misdemeanor domestic battery and received a suspended sentence.Three days after the bodies were found, a dumpster diver discovered family belongings at an apartment complex in Fort Smith — photos, children's artwork, a necklace with the twins' names. The address matches Randall Beallis' February 2025 arrest report. Investigators have not commented.Randall Beallis has not been arrested or charged in connection with the deaths. His attorney says he was not responsible and is cooperating fully.Someone knows what happened that day.#CharityBeallis #TrueCrimeToday #BonanzaArkansas #RandallBeallis #ElianaBeallis #MaverickBeallis #ArkansasMurder #DomesticViolence #TrueCrimeNews #HiddenKillersJoin Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? Journalists are rarely arrested, in part because the media elites freak out, since they apparently can never commit a crime if they're trying to interview people. Lemon can't be part of a mob violating the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act, to which they added churches. Now if a journalist was part of a mob invading an abortion clinic, we all know the Left would freak out about that.

On Thursday night, former CNN anchor and independent journalist Don Lemon was arrested in Los Angeles and charged with federal civil rights violations for his alleged actions at a protest inside a Minnesota church in January. The Department of Justice charged Lemon, activist Nekima Levy Armstrong, Minnesota-based journalist Georgia Fort, and six others with conspiracy to interfere with the civil rights of church congregants and with violating the federal Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act. Lemon, who has maintained that he was covering the protest as a journalist, was released without bond after appearing in federal court on Friday afternoon. His next hearing is scheduled for February 9 in Minneapolis.Ad-free podcasts are here!To listen to this podcast ad-free, and to enjoy our subscriber only premium content, go to ReadTangle.com to sign up!We're hiring.Applications are open for a part-time role on the Tangle editorial team. Dylan Syer speaks publicly for the first time about the high-profile accusations that upended his life, including allegations of fraud, identity theft, and grand larceny stemming from his work as a celebrity personal shopper. Prosecutors claimed Dylan used access to clients' finances to make unauthorized luxury purchases, accusations he firmly denies. In this episode, Dylan explains what he says really happened, how the charges caused his business to collapse overnight, and what it was like being sent to Rikers Island while fighting to clear his name. He also opens up about the emotional toll of the case, navigating the criminal justice system, and ultimately being sentenced to one year of weekends at Rikers — a punishment that kept him trapped between freedom and incarceration. _____________________________________________ #RikersIsland #PrisonStories #TrueCrimePodcast #CelebrityLifestyle #LifeAfterPrison #JusticeSystem #RedemptionStory #lockedin _____________________________________________ Thank you to AVA & GOLD DROP SELTZERS for sponsoring this episode: AVA: Take control of your credit today. Join Jim and Greg for the Friday 3 Martini Lunch as they break down the arrest of former CNN anchor and podcaster Don Lemon over his role in the Minnesota church invasion, a federal judge dismissing key charges against Luigi Mangione, and Washington, D.C.'s failure to control sewage or snow.First, they react to Don Lemon's arrest following a grand jury indictment tied to the invasion of a Minnesota church earlier this month. Lemon's defenders argue the case is a violation of his First Amendment rights as a journalist, but Jim explains why press credentials do not grant permission to violate the constitutional rights of others.Next, they're stunned as Federal Judge Margaret Garnett dismisses two charges against Luigi Mangione, who is accused of stalking and murdering UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson in 2024. The judge ruled Mangione's actions failed to meet the statutory definition of “use of physical force against the person of another." Jim outlines why he believes the decision is deeply flawed and likely to be appealed. Finally, they spotlight the staggering dysfunction of Washington, D.C.'s local government after roughly 300 million gallons of sewage spilled into the Potomac River over the course of a week, and the city has failed miserably to remove snow from last weekend's storm. Please visit our great sponsors:Try QUO for free, PLUS get 20% off your first 6 months when you visit https://Quo.com/3MLTake your personal data back with Incogni. Former CNN host Don Lemon was arrested by federal authorities after a Minnesota grand jury indicted him on charges of conspiring to deprive civil rights and violating the FACE Act. The charges stem from his involvement in disrupting Sunday services at the Cities Church in St. Paul on Jan. 18. The Sekulow team discusses the case against Don Lemon, the ACLJ's pending case against CNN at the U.S. Supreme Court - and much more.
The chat group story has gone crazy wild, and the reactions have been satisfying. Street protests are organized, dangerous and well planned. They are not dumb. When legitimacy shifts, power and control fail. License plate data is made accessible. They hide behind trusted roles. Never burn your persona. Hospitals collect data. They publish guides on how to occupy buildings, what's acceptable violence, and how to kill MAGA. Lots of fed employees involved. Onward and upward, is an owned slogan. Terrain dominance plans. Why didn't they do all this earlier? Good independent journalists are supported by the people. Stephen King admits the 2020 reality. Remember when Kammie bailed out the protesters? Arrest wills are what again? They even do pet sitting for those arrested. It's our tax dollars funding all this. Remember, Obama was behind CISA. A video on basic street care for injured radicals. Their presentations always obscure true intent. Role being played and good logistics. They want scrutiny. Hiding behind legit social groups. Planned immigration wars started with the Greeks. We're going to see more of this. Insane asylums to the rescue? Maybe. When the truth comes out, many people are going to lose their minds.
Today, federal agents arrested journalists Don Lemon and Georgia Fort in connection with their coverage of a protest inside a church in St. Paul, Minnesota — reigniting a nationwide debate over press freedom and the First Amendment.Lemon — a longtime national news anchor — and Fort — an independent journalist — were taken into federal custody after covering a demonstration that disrupted services at Cities Church, where protesters confronted a pastor alleged to be affiliated with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Federal prosecutors have alleged violations related to the disturbance, but critics and civil rights advocates argue these arrests represent an unprecedented crackdown on journalists simply doing their jobs.At the same time, federal agents executed a court-authorized raid on the Fulton County, Georgia Election Hub, seizing 2020 ballots and election records — a move that has drawn sharp criticism from election officials and democracy watchdogs alike. In this podcast:

Breaking developments in the D4VD investigation. Neo Langston, the 23-year-old Twitch streamer known as NeoTheAsian, was arrested at his mother's Montana home Thursday and transported to Los Angeles. He's now in custody at LAPD's Metropolitan Detention Center on $60,000 bail, charged with felony failure to appear as a witness. This arrest comes as a grand jury continues hearing testimony in the death of Celeste Rivas Hernandez. The 15-year-old's dismembered body was found in D4VD's impounded Tesla last September. Prosecutors reportedly believe D4VD was involved and are pushing for murder charges. The grand jury is expected to continue through February 2026.Neo's arrest follows a pattern of witness problems. In December, prosecutor Beth Silverman had to threaten a body attachment order to force a female witness to testify after she failed to appear. D4VD's manager Robert Morgenroth testified for days and was overheard saying he didn't call police because his job was to keep the tour going.Investigators have also identified a second suspect who may have been present during a mysterious late-night trip D4VD allegedly took to Santa Barbara County last spring — a trip sources believe involved Celeste's body.D4VD has not been arrested or charged. Neo is charged only with failure to appear. On May 3, 1939, Stalin ordered the arrest of Foreign Minister Maxim Litvinov and his Jewish staff, replacing him with Molotov to signal a diplomatic shift toward Nazi Germany,. This maneuver paved the way for the Moscow Pact, allowing Stalin to opportunistically seize territory in Poland, Finland, and the Baltics while Western powers remained passive,.1928
