This Day in Legal History: US Recognizes Castro GovernmentOn January 7, 1959, the United States formally recognized the new Cuban government led by Fidel Castro. This recognition followed the revolutionary forces' ousting of Cuban dictator Fulgencio Batista on January 1, 1959. The U.S. move reflected an initial acceptance of the political change in Cuba, as Batista's regime had become widely criticized for corruption and authoritarianism. Castro's rise to power was initially seen by some in the U.S. as a potential opportunity for reform and modernization in Cuba. However, underlying tensions between the two nations soon began to surface. As Castro consolidated power, his government initiated sweeping land reforms and began nationalizing industries, including those with significant American investments. These actions created friction with U.S. business interests and policymakers. By 1960, relations deteriorated further when Cuba aligned itself with the Soviet Union, entering the Cold War as a communist ally. The U.S. responded with economic sanctions, including a trade embargo, which severely strained diplomatic ties. The growing ideological divide culminated in January 1961, when President Dwight D. Eisenhower severed formal diplomatic relations with Cuba. Shortly thereafter, the failed Bay of Pigs invasion and the Cuban Missile Crisis deepened hostilities. The recognition on January 7, 1959, marked the beginning of a complex and adversarial relationship that would define U.S.-Cuban interactions for decades. This moment remains a pivotal turning point in the history of both nations, highlighting the geopolitical struggles of the Cold War era.Former President Donald Trump lost a bid to delay his sentencing in the Manhattan hush money case, despite his legal team's arguments citing presidential immunity and his upcoming January 20 inauguration. Judge Juan Merchan, who previously scheduled sentencing for January 10, rejected the request, stating that Trump's motion repeated past arguments and emphasizing the need for finality in criminal proceedings. The judge noted he was not inclined to impose jail time, instead considering an unconditional discharge, which would mark a conviction without additional penalties. The case involves a $130,000 payment made by Trump's former lawyer, Michael Cohen, to adult film actor Stormy Daniels to silence her claims of an affair with Trump before the 2016 election—a claim Trump denies. Trump was found guilty in May 2024 on 34 felony counts of falsifying business records related to concealing this payment. His lawyers' appeals to dismiss the case, including citing the Supreme Court's ruling on presidential immunity for official acts, have been rejected as the charges pertain to Trump's personal conduct.Prosecutors argued against the delay, stressing the public interest in timely prosecution. This case marks the first time a U.S. president, sitting or former, has been convicted of a crime. Trump's legal team previously claimed that the case impedes his ability to govern, but the court maintained that upholding the jury's verdict is vital to the rule of law.Trump loses bid to delay sentencing in hush money case as he appeals | ReutersU.S. Steel and Nippon Steel have filed lawsuits against President Joe Biden's administration over its decision to block Nippon Steel's $14.9 billion bid to acquire U.S. Steel, alleging the national security review process was politically influenced. The companies claim Biden prejudged the outcome to gain political favor with the United Steelworkers (USW) union ahead of the presidential election, violating their right to a fair review. They seek a federal court's intervention to overturn the decision and enable a new, impartial review. The merger was controversial, with both Biden and former President Donald Trump opposing the deal to keep U.S. Steel American-owned. Biden's administration cited national security concerns, while the companies argue the Committee on Foreign Investment in the U.S. (CFIUS) failed to conduct a proper review. U.S. Steel and Nippon Steel also filed a separate lawsuit against rival Cleveland-Cliffs, its CEO, and the USW for allegedly colluding to block the deal and monopolize the domestic steel market. The lawsuits accuse CFIUS staff of barring negotiations on a security agreement and allege the review process was manipulated to align with Biden's predetermined opposition. Cleveland-Cliffs CEO Lourenco Goncalves and the USW deny the allegations, calling the lawsuits baseless. Despite Biden's decision, U.S. Steel's stock rose, as the company remains an attractive acquisition target amidst falling profits and revenues.U.S. Steel, Nippon sue Biden administration over decision to block merger | ReutersOn January 6, Congress officially certified Donald Trump's 2024 presidential election victory without objections, marking a stark contrast to the events of January 6, 2021, when a mob stormed the Capitol to disrupt the certification of Joe Biden's victory. Kamala Harris, the outgoing vice president and Trump's defeated Democratic opponent, presided over the ceremony, emphasizing the "sacred obligation" of the peaceful transfer of power in American democracy. Security at the Capitol was unprecedented, with heavy fortifications, bomb squads, snipers, and reinforcements from law enforcement agencies across the country. However, the atmosphere outside was calm due to a massive snowstorm that emptied the streets of Washington, D.C.During the session, Harris received state certifications of electoral votes and announced Trump's 312-vote victory total. Unlike the contentious 2020 certification process, no Democratic lawmakers objected. Trump decisively won both the popular vote and key swing states, defeating Harris, who had replaced Biden as the Democratic nominee after his withdrawal. The 2024 certification was designated a "national special security event," reflecting lessons learned from the violent 2021 attack. That event, which left numerous police officers injured and one dead shortly after, remains a symbol of threats to democracy. Trump, now reelected, has vowed to pardon those convicted in the 2021 Capitol attack, describing them as "patriots."Trump Declared Election Winner in Ceremony Four Years After Riot This is a public episode. But over two years later, these forests were still being cut under the Biden administration's watch. Nearly the same amount as they were under Trump — who will take office again next year and could undo some of his predecessor's climate policies. Today, we’re talking about how logging has continued in western Oregon — the heart of the nation’s remaining old-growth forests. The Washington Post's Jeff Stein stops by to discuss his extensive new piece investigating the ever-ballooning U.S. international sanctions regime. Despite Biden recently bragging he's leaving office with the U.S. not involved in any foreign conflicts, the U.S. now has sanctions in place in over a third of all nations around the world, including more than 60% of “developing” nations. Jeff walks us through this increasingly central policy of worldwide economic coercion, how it shapes American imperial aims, and some intended & unintended consequences of the exponential expansion of sanctions in the 21st century. Then, we take a quick look at the state of the Veepstakes, Josh Shapiro's whole deal, and of course, RFK Jr. and the road-kill bear. This Day in Legal History: James McCord ArrestedOn June 17, 1972, James McCord, security director for President Richard Nixon's re-election committee, and four Cuban-Americans were arrested for breaking into the Democratic National Committee Headquarters at the Watergate complex in Washington, D.C. This event marked the beginning of the Watergate scandal, a major political scandal in the United States that ultimately led to President Nixon's resignation. The burglars were caught wiretapping phones and stealing documents, intending to gather information to sabotage Nixon's political opponents. As investigations unfolded, it was revealed that the break-in was part of a broader campaign of political espionage and sabotage conducted by the Nixon administration. The scandal exposed widespread abuse of power, including illegal wiretapping, break-ins, and attempts to cover up these activities. Journalists Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein of The Washington Post played a crucial role in uncovering the details of the scandal, leading to increased public scrutiny and pressure on the administration. The investigation led to the indictment of several Nixon administration officials and the creation of the Senate Watergate Committee. The most significant outcome was the discovery of the existence of secret tapes of conversations in the Oval Office, which revealed President Nixon's involvement in the cover-up. Faced with the likelihood of impeachment, Nixon became the first U.S. president to resign from office on August 8, 1974. The Watergate scandal had a lasting impact on American politics, leading to increased transparency and reforms aimed at preventing such abuses of power in the future. The rare disease community is advocating for changes to the Inflation Reduction Act's drug price-setting scheme, which is causing drugmakers and investors to reconsider developing drugs for small patient populations. Companies like Pfizer, Alnylam Pharmaceuticals, Eli Lilly, and Protagonist Therapeutics are altering their research strategies due to concerns over recouping costs under the Medicare Drug Price Negotiation Program. This program exempts orphan drugs with a single FDA-approved indication from price negotiations, but those with multiple indications might not qualify for the exclusion, even if they are not yet approved for additional conditions.Opponents are seeking legislative and judicial changes to amend the Inflation Reduction Act, as companies and investors shift their focus away from rare disease and small-molecule drugs. Jamie Sullivan of the EveryLife Foundation for Rare Diseases emphasized the importance of achieving technical fixes to support innovation. Recent legislative efforts aim to protect the development of these drugs, and companies like AstraZeneca are challenging the provisions in court. The Inflation Reduction Act has made the capital environment more challenging for rare disease drugs, according to John Stanford of the Incubate Coalition.Patient groups and some manufacturers argue that the exemption reduces incentives provided by the Orphan Drug Act, which has historically promoted the research and development of rare disease medicines. These drugs often launch with a single indication but can later be approved for additional uses. Concerns are rising that the current policies may hinder further research into rare diseases. Despite industry concerns, some groups argue that drug companies still have substantial resources for robust R&D and can profit from expanding indications for orphan drugs. A CMS spokesperson stated that the negotiation program aligns with the law and won't harm long-term innovation.US Drug Negotiations Plan Shifts Focus for Rare Disease ProgramsAlex Jones' personal bankruptcy has been converted to a Chapter 7 liquidation, meaning a trustee will now manage how he pays the $1.5 billion in defamation judgments against him. Jones was unable to reach an agreement with the families of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting victims, whom he defamed by claiming the 2012 massacre was a hoax. US Bankruptcy Judge Christopher Lopez ruled that Jones' case does not qualify for exceptions to prevent its conversion to Chapter 7, despite Jones' objections.During the same hearing, Judge Lopez dismissed the bankruptcy case of Infowars' parent company, Free Speech Systems LLC, allowing the Sandy Hook families to pursue their claims in state court. The judge clarified that there was never a request to shut down Infowars itself. Lopez expressed the difficulty of the case, acknowledging its connection to the tragic 2012 shooting.Jones' defamation debts were deemed non-dischargeable in bankruptcy due to the intentional and malicious nature of his actions. Following state court verdicts, Free Speech Systems filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in July 2022, and Jones filed for personal bankruptcy in December 2022. Efforts to reach a consensual bankruptcy plan failed, prompting the recent conversion to Chapter 7.Jones and the Sandy Hook families had recently agreed on the need to convert his case to Chapter 7, but the Free Speech Systems case remained contentious. Ultimately, the court decided that dismissing the Free Speech case was in the best interest of creditors. Despite potential liquidation, Jones may start a new broadcast, according to attorneys for the Sandy Hook families. This case is being managed under Alexander E. Jones, Bankr. S.D. The event, which featured former President Barack Obama and Hollywood celebrities like George Clooney and Julia Roberts, raised over $30 million for Biden's campaign. Biden highlighted the court's conservative leanings, particularly criticizing Justice Clarence Thomas's remarks on reconsidering issues like in vitro fertilization and contraception. He also warned that if Donald Trump wins the 2024 election, he could appoint two more justices, which Biden described as alarming. The fundraiser was framed by a video montage contrasting Biden's record with that of Trump, drawing cheers from the audience. Biden noted that the Supreme Court, now dominated by conservatives appointed by Trump, has made decisions restricting affirmative action, gay rights, gun control, and environmental regulations. Obama reiterated the importance of elections in determining the court's power, linking the current situation to Trump's 2016 victory. The event marked the largest Democratic fundraiser in history, surpassing a previous record set in New York City. Other celebrities present included Jack Black, Jason Bateman, and Kathryn Hahn. Despite Biden's low approval ratings and concerns about his age, the fundraiser aimed to showcase the campaign's strength and momentum. In this episode of "Sara Gonzales Unfiltered," Sara dives into the recent news surrounding the upcoming Trump-Biden presidential debates. Despite Biden's seemingly surprising willingness to participate, Sara highlights the meticulously orchestrated stipulations from Biden's camp, such as debates hosted by friendly networks, no live audience, and cutting Trump's mic during Biden's speaking time. Sara discusses the entitlement of some illegal immigrants demanding culturally specific ingredients, highlighting the broader issue of ungrateful attitudes and the strain on the U.S. She emphasizes the need for accountability and collective action to protest these policies, echoing the importance of grassroots movements. The episode also covers the lenient plea deals offered to illegal immigrants involved in violent crime, questioning the effectiveness of the justice system and the challenges faced by the NYPD. Additionally, Sara analyzes a surprising admission by White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre regarding the 2024 presidential election. This episode also covers the recent primary loss of former U.S. Capitol police officer Harry Dunn. Despite significant support from top Democrats and dark money, Dunn's defeat is seen as a sign of hope that voters are beginning to do their own research and not blindly follow political ads and endorsements. Sara delves into the broader implications of this election, emphasizing how voters are growing tired of blatant lies and are starting to see through the façade. Sara also humorously critiques the first official portrait of King Charles III, comparing it to something out of a horror movie. Sara shifts gears to spotlight Vice President Kamala Harris' recent appearance on the "Sherri" show. In an awkward moment, Harris gifts Sherri Shepherd a box of White House M&Ms, leading to a bizarre exchange. BlazeTV contributor Matthew Marsden joins the show. This week on True Talk, Ahmed Bedier and Samar Jarrah delve into the deep-seated concerns of Muslim and Arab American communities regarding President Biden's one-sided policies on Gaza. Despite Biden's critique of Islamophobic media portrayals, such as those in the Wall Street Journal calling Dearborn "Jihad Capital" and NY Times Thomas Friedman describing the Middle East via "The Animal Kingdom", there remains a significant gap between Biden's condemnation of media marginalization and any meaningful policy action. Dr. Mahal Hilal, from the Muslim Counterpublics Lab, joins us to dissect the implications of these narratives versus the administration's stance, emphasizing the critical need for justice and dignity. Tune into True Talk on WMNF for a thought-provoking conversation on the intersections of policy, media representation, and community advocacy.

Questions continue to mount about President Biden's involvement in the Biden family business. Yet, despite all these failures, the Democrats are winning. This should serve as a wake-up call to Republicans. More Information If you enjoyed this episode and found it useful, please give The P.A.S. In this episode of the ChinaPower Podcast, we are joined by Dr. Michael J. Green to discuss U.S.-China competition for influence in the Pacific Islands and broader Indo-Pacific region following President Biden's trip to Asia. Dr. Green begins with an overview of countries' expectations ahead of Biden's trip. Despite Biden's shortened trip, the trip was still substantive, maintains Dr. Green, with major breakthroughs and agreements struck. He highlights the varying attitudes and approaches G7 countries have towards China and describes the difference between decoupling and de-risking. Lastly, Dr. Green reveals that the People's Liberation Army's recent actions have been damaging to its overall grand strategy. Dr. Michael J. Green is Chief Executive Officer at the United States Studies Centre at the University of Sydney. Previously he was Senior Vice President for Asia, Japan Chair, and Henry A. Kissinger Chair at CSIS and director of Asian Studies and Chair in Modern and Contemporary Japanese Politics and Foreign Policy at the Edmund A. Bank shares in Asia and Europe have slumped, despite reassurances from the US president that America's financial system is safe following the collapse of two US lenders. The falls come after authorities moved to protect customer deposits when the US-based Silicon Valley Bank and Signature Bank collapsed. Joe Biden promised to do whatever is needed to protect the banking system. My friends,As I mentioned last night, I thought Biden's second State of the Union address was superb. It was one of the best State of the Union speeches I've witnessed — and I've witnessed many. Biden's record so far has also been impressive — even though for the first two years of his presidency, the Democrats held a razor-thin congressional majority, and the Republican Party has become more traitorous and treacherous than at any time in modern American history. Yet despite Biden's impressive record, only 42 percent of Americans approve of his presidency. That's barely above the 41 percent at his last State of the Union address, and a lower approval rating at this point in his presidency than any president in 75 years of polling except for Trump and Reagan (who at this point was hobbled by a deep recession).Despite Biden's significant achievements, fully 62 percent think he has accomplished “not very much” or “little or nothing” during his presidency. Majorities believe he has made no progress on his signature initiatives — from improving the country's infrastructure to making electric vehicles more affordable to creating jobs. And even though jobs are being created at an almost unprecedented rate, unemployment is at its lowest since 1969, and inflation is dropping, Americans are deeply pessimistic about the economy. So what gives? Why the discrepancy between what Biden is achieving and what Americans think? Please share your thoughts. I'll give you my take later today. Also, please take our poll:Let me add a few thoughts of my own. First, let me stress my belief that Joe Biden has been an exceptionally good president. The only reason I bring up his low ratings is to try to understand why, despite his achievements, most of the public doesn't seem to share my view. Opinion polls are notoriously inaccurate, as we've all witnessed in the last major elections. Yet Biden's consistently low ratings across almost all polls — and the bizarre fact that he's polling no better than Trump did at this point in Trump's presidency — can't be blamed simply on inadequate polling methods. Many of you blame the media — both Fox News and its radical right imitators, as well as the mainstream — for minimizing Biden's achievements and exaggerating his inadequacies. I largely agree. Fox News and other rightwing outlets continue to poison America. As to the mainstream media, as to anyone who reads this letter knows, I've been deeply concerned about its “two-sides” ism and absurd attempts to draw moral equivalence between Republicans and Democrats. That said, only a small fraction of the public is exposed to Fox News or to the New York Times or the Washington Post. The media alone can't account for Biden's low ratings. I want to suggest to you three other culprits that to my mind are playing a larger role. First is the legacy of Trump, along with the deeply cynical and angry divide he has spawned in America. Even if George Washington were president right now, some 40 percent of the public would likely despise him. Second is social media, which has become a cauldron of ever more extremist rage. Under Elon Musk, for example, Twitter has become less of a “public square” than a hell-hole of hate. No national leader is immune to such relentless battering.Third and perhaps most importantly is the continuing crises that most Americans find themselves in. Some two-thirds of us are living paycheck to paycheck. Almost no one has job security. Adjusted for inflation, the median wage continues to drop. COVID is receding but “long” COVID is taking a devastating toll. Fentanyl and related drug poisonings continue to rise. Joe Biden and his administration have made important progress. Their legislative victories are important. The American Rescue Act helped millions survive the pandemic. But most Americans are still hurting. Hopefully, by the fall of 2024, the hurt won't be nearly as bad. RR This is a public episode. YOU MUST CELEBRATE Brittney Griner being released and NOT THINK about Who we GAVE UPPresident Joe Biden had already personally informed Cherelle Griner that her wife was being released from Russian detention when aides arrived with more news: Brittney Griner was now securely out of Russia – and on the telephone.“It's Joe Biden,” the president said when the call was patched through. “Welcome, welcome home!”Nearly ten months after Brittney Griner was arrested at a Moscow airport, the jubilant moment in the Oval Office on Thursday amounted to the culmination of prolonged, frustrating negotiations and one painful decision that left another detained American disappointed and wondering what his fate may be.Ad FeedbackIn conversations across an array of government channels, Russian officials were clear with their American counterparts: they would release Griner – and only Griner – in exchange for a convicted Russian arms dealer nicknamed the “merchant of death.”Because of the matter's exceedingly high profile, it was certain those conditions had been set by Russian President Vladimir Putin himself, one US official said.Despite Biden's attempts to link Griner's case to that of Paul Whelan, a former US Marine arrested on espionage charges in 2018 and sentenced to 16 years in prison two years later, it became plain recently that Putin would not budge.“The choice was bringing Brittney Griner home right now, or bringing no one home right now,” one senior administration official said.Exclusive: Paul Whelan tells CNN he is 'disappointed' that more has not been done to secure his releaseWith winter approaching at the penal colony where Griner was being held, Biden faced a singularly presidential decision. Welcoming Griner home would fulfill a promise and end the nightmare endured by her and her family. But any victory would be tempered by the inability to secure Whelan's freedom and inevitable blowback over the release of one the most prolific arms dealers of the past decades. The situation was complicated further when senior law enforcement officials, angry at the prospect of releasing a notorious figure it had taken years to capture and alarmed by the precedent Bout's release would set, raised strong objections.Biden took the deal.“Brittney will soon be back in the arms of her loved ones and – and she should have been there all along,” the president said from the Roosevelt Room, where he was joined by Griner's wife. “This is a day we've worked toward for a long time.”Moments earlier in Abu Dhabi, Griner had stepped from h- CNNhttps://www.cnn.com/2022/12/08/politics/biden-griner-whelan-decision/index.htmlSupport the show

Visit storyrealestate.com. https://dossier.substack.com/p/the-cdc-will-vote-thursday-to-permanently?utm_source=twitter&sd=pf The CDC will vote Thursday to permanently shield Pfizer and Moderna from COVID vaccine injury liability A CDC committee will convene this week and likely vote Thursday to deliver permanent legal indemnity to Pfizer and Moderna, through the process of adding the drug companies’ mRNA injections to the child and adolescent immunization schedules. By adding the shots to the childhood schedule, the CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) will transfer liability for vaccine injuries to the federal government’s National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program (VICP), allowing for Pfizer and Moderna to finally bring an FDA approved shot to the market without opening itself up to lawsuits. Moreover, it will act as another windfall for companies that have already brought in hundreds of billions of dollars in revenues, by requiring these vaccinations for children who attend public schools. In March 2020, the federal government invoked the PREP Act, which gave Pfizer and Moderna a tort liability shield due to the declared “public health emergency,” which the government is reportedly going to revoke in early 2023. The companies’ emergency use authorization shots have since been protected by the federal government through this 2005 congressional action. A draft agenda published by the CDC shows what will be on the schedule for Wednesday and Thursday’s meetings. The Health Resources & Services Administration has clarified what needs to happen for a vaccine to become liability free: “For a vaccine to be covered, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) must recommend the category of vaccine for routine administration to children or pregnant women, and it must be subject to an excise tax by federal law.” The Dossier has reported extensively on the coordinated effort by Big Pharma and the Biden Administration to delay the rollout of an FDA approved COVID vaccine, with legal experts suspecting the process is in place to protect Pfizer and Moderna from legal liability from vaccine injuries. Once described as the cure to the coronavirus, the novel mRNA shots have resulted in catastrophic failure, with a side effect profile exponentially higher than advertised. Thanks to a fraudulent, deceptive marketing campaign, assisted by top federal officials and high-profile pharmaceutical executives, the drugmakers and the federal government convinced millions of Americans to take shots that were much more dangerous (especially for young men), and much less effective than advertised. Over the course of COVID Mania, Pfizer and Moderna have raked in hundreds of billions of dollars in liability free dollars, enriching their executives and board members beyond their wildest dreams. Thanks to Big Pharma’s successful regulatory capture of Government Health, and corrupt bureaucrats’ willing compliance, it looks like the mRNA drug cartel will be completely off the hook when it comes to compensating the countless Americans who were harmed by their junk products. https://www.theepochtimes.com/boston-university-defends-controversial-study-on-covid-hybrid-strain-with-80-percent-mortality-rate-in-mice_4803917.html?utm_source=partner&utm_campaign=BonginoReport President Joe Biden plans to release even more barrels of oil from the federal government’s strategic reserves to keep gas prices low before the midterm elections. Biden’s latest decision marks more than 200 million barrels set for release in less than two years as president, more than all previous presidents combined according to the Wall Street Journal. Despite Biden’s historic oil releases to bring down the cost of gasoline, the OPEC+ nations announced their decision in October to cut oil production by two million barrels a day. The president expressed his disappointment with OPEC+ and Saudi Arabia’s decision, despite administration officials working behind the scenes urging them to delay their cuts until after the midterm elections. Biden recently campaigned in California where gas prices are nearly seven dollars a gallon. When asked about prices approaching seven dollars a gallon in the state, Biden replied, “Well, that’s always been the case here.” Despite gas prices rising again, Biden continues taking credit for gas prices declining from record highs in the Summer. “[A] lot of it is the result of getting the cost of living at the gas pump down by more — now even in California now — by more than a dollar nationally and — since the start of summer,” he said during a speech on Americans suffering from higher costs. https://www.dailyfetched.com/china-cuts-off-natural-gas-supplies-to-europe-just-in-time-for-winter/ China Cuts Off Natural Gas Supplies to Europe, Just in Time for Winter Communist China has told state-owned energy-importing companies to cease sending natural gas supplies to European nations already facing a catastrophic winter. According to Bloomberg, the Chinese Communist Party’s National Development and Reform Commission also told the state-owned energy giants CNOOC, PetroChina, and Sinopec to halt shipments of liquified natural gas to foreign buyers in Europe and Asia. China scooped up excess Russian gas since the war in Ukraine, as Europe faces an unprecedented energy crisis. The communist nation has managed to build up an excess of liquified natural gas amid lockdowns to comply with Beijing’s zero-Covid agenda. As Russia reduced shipments to the European Union in response to the bloc’s support of Ukraine and sanctions on Moscow, China began reselling its surplus LNG cargo to the EU at inflated prices. According to estimates, some four million tonnes of liquid natural gas was resold by China, which accounts for approximately seven percent of Europe’s imports during the same period. The Chinese government has not given a specific reason for halting the supply of natural gas supplies on the open market. However, the move could be an attempt by Xi Jinping to aid his ally Vladimir Putin in putting the squeeze on Europe at a crucial moment. Despite falling gas prices in Europe from their high in August, the European Union is still considering placing a price cap on imported LNG. Russia’s state-owned Gazprom responded by threatening to cut off all shipments to Europe, forcing the EU to reach out to countries like China selling on the international market. The EU globalists have rushed towards their green agenda and forestalled domestic energy production, specifically Germany, which banned fracking for its own natural gas in favor of cleaner alternatives. The move, however, has just left the bloc beholden to Russia to meet its energy needs and, ironically, China to meet its green goals – given that almost all solar panels are made in China. Last year, the head of the green lobbyist group, admitted: “Everybody knows what’s going on in China, and when facilities are based there, you have to accept that there’s a high possibility that forced labour will be used.” https://www.theepochtimes.com/boston-university-defends-controversial-study-on-covid-hybrid-strain-with-80-percent-mortality-rate-in-mice_4803917.html?utm_source=partner&utm_campaign=BonginoReport Boston University Defends Controversial Study on COVID Hybrid Strain With ’80 Percent’ Mortality Rate in Mice Boston University issued a statement Tuesday defending its research of a COVID-19 Omicron strain when they took the variant’s spike protein and attached it to the original COVID-19 strain, leading to a higher mortality rate in a certain species of mice, triggering concern among lawmakers. “The Omicron S-bearing virus robustly escapes vaccine-induced humoral immunity, mainly due to mutations in the receptor-binding motif… while Omicron causes mild, non-fatal infection, the Omicron S-carrying virus inflicts severe disease with a mortality rate of 80 percent,” the preprint study said. Meanwhile, Emily Erbelding, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases’s division of microbiology and infectious diseases, told Stat News that the Boston University’s grant application didn’t specify that researchers wanted to perform this work and the group did not say it was performing experiments to possible enhance a COVID-19 variant. An investigation is now underway, she said. Boston University issued a lengthy statement defending its research and said critics have misrepresented the goals of the study while refuting allegations that the study involved gain-of-function research, which can make a pathogen more deadly or transmissible. “The research was reviewed and approved by the Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC), which consists of scientists as well as local community members,” the statement from Boston University said. “The Boston Public Health Commission also approved the research. Furthermore, this research mirrors and reinforces the findings of other, similar research performed by other organizations, including the FDA. Ultimately, this research will provide a public benefit by leading to better, targeted therapeutic interventions to help fight against future pandemics.” Certain reports about the study were “false and inaccurate,” Boston University official Ronald Corley said in a statement. A report from the Daily Mail, he alleged, took the “80 percent” line out of context. Club Membership Plug: Let’s stop and take a moment to talk about Fight Laugh Feast Club membership. Now for those that never watch NASCAR, myself included, Bubba Wallace was the gentleman who claimed he found a noose in his garage at a NASCAR racetrack, a race baiting move… but it turned out to be just a regular noose used to open the garage door… anyways: During the race, Kyle Larson got loose underneath Bubba Wallace, but appeared to save the car. There does not appear to be any contact made between the two drivers at this point. However, Wallace slammed hard into the wall and bounced down the track into Larson. Larson then dived hard down into the track to avoid Wallace who chased him down the track and purposely clipped Larson in the rear quarter panel sending him spinning up the track into Christopher Bell and the outside wall. There does not appear to be any contact made between the two drivers at this point. However, Wallace slammed hard into the wall and bounced down the track into Larson. Despite Biden and the Democratic Party's attempt to blame Putin, Covid and energy companies for the record inflation American consumers are experiencing, their blame game doesn't appear to be working. Inflation is hitting battleground states, and more specifically, cities that are run by democrats harder. Additionally, new drilling permits for oil companies are down 85% under Biden, so you can't blame them for higher prices at the pump and grocery stores. Lastly, Putin reacts to sanctions. Now, he is seizing foreign aircraft's and threatening to seize assets from foreign companies willing to abandon Russia. This is what happens when big business gets in bed with big government. Russia has invaded Ukraine in spite of President Biden's threats. As Dan explains, this is a direct result of Russia sensing Biden's weakness. Plus, a disturbing case of abuse in West Bend and an exclusive story about censorship without due process at Concordia University.
Gold and silver took a bit of a hit last night on news that Putin had withdrawn some troops and the inference that the invasion is no longer on. Despite Biden ‘reassuring' everyone that the reports were ‘not verified' and that an attack is “still very much a possibility” the market elected to go with everything is awesome again. However we share more insights from Goldman Sachs and others on why gold is still the asset du jour….

On COI #197, Kyle Anzalone breaks down the humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan. The World Bank and UN are attempting to deliver aid to the Afghans. However, U.S. sanctions continue to prevent the aid from reaching suffering people. Back in Washington., Biden is figuring out what to do with the $7 billion held by the Fed in an account for the collapsed, formerly U.S. backed, Kabul government. Vultures in Congress are attempting to repurpose the funds to aid Ukraine. The Biden administration's main concern in Afghanistan is preventing the Taliban from gaining “recognition,” not preventing the Afghan childrens' impending mass starvation. Kyle updates the raging war in Yemen. Saudi Arabia continues to hammer the starving people with airstrikes. Despite Biden's pledge early in his administration, the US continues to support the Saudi-UAE war effort. A 96-year-old woman is on trial in Germany where she's accused of 11,000 counts of accessory to murder at a Nazi concentration camp. The trial, which began last week, could be the last of its kind. The logjam at America's two largest ports has shown no sign of improving, despite President Biden's announcement earlier this month that both facilities were moving to a 24/7 work schedule. Episode Notes The Yemeni Liberation Movement (YLM) is a grassroots organization educating and mobilizing our communities to end the war in Yemen and restore liberation and sovereignty to all of Yemen. Iman Saleh and Muna Saleh are community organizers from Dearborn and Detroit, Michigan. Recently they traveled to Washington, D.C. to demand an end to U.S. participation in the war on Yemen. YLM has begin a hunger strike and call on President Biden to meet the following demands: Publicly speak out against the blockade End U.S. support for the Saudi-led blockade March 26, 2021 marked the sixth year of the U.S.-supported, Saudi-led genocide against Yemen. Over 233,000 people have been killed mostly from indirect causes such as famine and life-threatening diseases, 24 million are in need of humanitarian assistance, and [16 million ](https://www.wfp.org/emergencies/yemen-emergency#:~:text=Despite%20ongoing%20humanitarian%20assistance%2C%2016.2,(16%2C500%20to%2047%2C000%20people.)are at risk of famine. The Yemeni people are in constant emotional, physical, and psychological chaos with many waiting to die, and others watching their children die. When organizers pleaded with the Obama administration to not hand his war to Trump, we were ignored. When organizers fought for the War Powers Resolution with Trump, it was vetoed and billions of dollars in new weapons were sold to the Saudi-led coalition. Despite Biden making a promise to end the war during the election, his statements have been ambiguous and he has continued to support the Saudi coalition once his term began. The Biden administration is currently playing “war crimes gymnastics”, supporting (yet denying) a new 3-month-long fuel blockade that has resulted in mass starvation and death. Hospitals are forced to shut down as they are unable to keep their generators running. According to a 2021 WHO report, nearly 51% of hospitals that were operating before the war are currently either closed or operate at reduced capacity. Yemenis can't afford to transport themselves to the hospital, with one Yemeni mother expressing in a March 2021 CNN investigation that she had to cut out food and water in order to afford sending her child to receive critical care. The same investigation from CNN international correspondent, Nima Elgabir, confirmed that the United States is supporting the blockade. Under UN resolution 2417, this support is classified as mass starvation. The YLM is taking a stand to say enough is enough. We no longer ask when the people of Yemen will see peace - we demand it. As nonviolent protests go, hunger strikes wreak the most havoc to the body and mind. Yet, we are willing to undergo these risks in solidarity with the people of Yemen, 22 million of whom are actively being starved. We have shouted, marched, asked for peace, and written letters. Now, as citizens of the United States and members of the YLM, we will put our bodies and future health on the line while urging President Biden to end all support for the blockade on Yemen. What was once a paradise on Earth to millions, has now been turned into a never-ending hell. We will continue our strike until President Biden acknowledges and ends the United States' support for the blockade, so that we may begin the work of restoring safety, security, and sovereignty to the heaven that is Yemen. On COI #104, Kyle and Will update the progress of the US withdrawal from Afghanistan. Soon after the White House announced the exit was finally underway, CNN published a scare story hyping up threats from two anonymous al-Qaeda operatives, insisting that ending the longest war in American history would invite new terrorist attacks. CNN is joined by countless other media outlets in making dire warnings about ending the war. The Biden team has finished a policy review on North Korea, opting to strike a balance between Donald Trump's "grand bargain" and Barack Obama's policy of "strategic patience," but the approach draws all the long lessons from prior administrations. Despite Biden's vows to end all US support for Saudi Arabia's "offensive operations" in Yemen, recent reporting shows that American aircraft maintenance has not stopped, continuing to enable Riyadh's lethal bombing campaign and crimes against humanity.
