Retired educator is the perfect person for everything. Apply to present at national conventions. Take that momentum into retirement. Form the corporation (S-Corp), get a credit card, get an accountant. Start an email list. (Constant Contact, MailChimp, Convertkit, etc.) Email the list weekly. Write a book (ebook). (Also have a shorter free lead magnet.) Repurpose content (1 blog post per week becomes blog post becomes newspaper article, podcast, YouTube, Lumen5, Headliner, social media posts, Medium, LinkedIn, HARO). Word of mouth is the best social media exposure. (Keep in contact with people you worked with before retirement.) About our Guest: Dr. Frank BuckDr. Frank Buck is currently ranked #1 in the world by Global Gurus Top 30 in the "time management category." He is a public speaker, productivity coach, and author of Get Organized!: Time Management for School Leaders. Frank started as a band director and then moved into school administration as an assistant principal, principal, and curriculum coordinator. Since his retirement from public education in 2009, he has spoken to audiences throughout the United States and internationally. His mission is to help busy professionals achieve total control over their time and the peace of mind that nothing is falling through the cracks. Frank’s nuts-and-bolts approach, along with his blend of content and humor, has made him a favorite with audiences. Welcome to the Build your EDU Brand (http://www.buildyouredubrand.com) . I want to start out first with a few questions: Are you comfortable with your current level of income for your family? Are you seeking new avenues for professional learning and personal adventure this year? Are you looking to take your interests and dreams and build a small business to help you share your passions with the world? Welcome to the Jeff Bradbury Show, a podcast to help (http://www.buildyouredubrand.com) . This podcast has been a dream of mine for the last few years. It is actually based on conversations that I have had over the last 8+ years with both teachers and edtech companies about the way that educators are thinking of themselves as marketing opportunities and not just as in-class teachers. Each episode of the EDU Brand (http://www.buildyouredubrand.com) through your website, social media, email marketing, and conference networking. Why Create The Jeff Bradbury Show? This podcast will be a bit different than other podcasts on The TeacherCast Educational Network. Instead of doing a show focused on EdTech or on what happens in the classroom, this podcast will be a bit more personal. In 2011, I was co-hosting a podcast with a friend from California all about Apple, iPhones, and Technology. In the spring, he and I spoke about my desire to create a podcast that was educationally focused to help teachers learn how to use tech in their classrooms. This became the TeacherCast Podcast. Over the last 9 years, TeacherCast has allowed me to create a globally recognized professional development network based on audio podcasts, video tutorials, online courses, webinars, newsletters, and in-person professional development. It has essentially created an additional income stream for my family that allows me to stay at home and be the best husband and father that I can be. This is what I hope to share with you! Who Is The Jeff Bradbury Show Speaking To?The Jeff Bradbury Show is designed for educators who are looking to build a website, create an online presence and use social media to build an audience brand with the purpose of turning it into a profitable side business to support their family. What Will You Learn From The Jeff Bradbury Show? The TeacherCast Educational Network has helped me and my family not only create an additional source of revenue, but it has also helped us provide amazing opportunities for our triplets. For the past 9 years, I have learned all of these skills through the school of experience and it is through The Jeff Bradbury Show that I hope to share these stories with you to help you create an extra revenue stream for your family and help you build your EDU Brand. Topics discussed on the show will include: Web Design Email Marketing Social Media Search Engine Optimization How To Create Buzzworthy Digital Content in Print, Audio, and Video Formats Presentation Tips & Tricks That Only The Professionals Know We will also bring on educators and experts in the field to talk about their professional journeys to help share how they have gone above and beyond the classroom to support their families through their extracurricular passions. Ask The Tech Coach: A Podcast For Instructional Technology Coaches and EdTech Specialists

In this episode of YouToring.com (http://YouToring.com) on the program to discuss how Virtual Reality and Analytics are helping to change the way our teachers are creating a flipped classroom. In this episode, we discuss: How should we define “Flipped Classroom” in 2019? What are some of the pros/cons about Flipping? Is there a best way to flip? Is there a wrong way to flip? How can Tech Coaches both model, and support our teachers in Flipping their classrooms? Apps To Use When Setting Up Flipped Classrooms Resources About our GuestAdam Bevan, CEO YouToringHaving completed a double major in English and Drama in 2009 in the leafy green University town of Loughborough, England, Adam didn't expect at the time to end up as a leading EdTech provider in Chicago just one decade later. Having completed an MEd to take his passion of teaching into the classroom, Adam was commended for his outstanding pedagogy at several large events, including a school coalition which found Adam's utilization of technology in the classroom to be outstanding. Content in the classroom, Adam didn’t begin his own tutoring platform until 2014 when a concerned mother from the school he was previously teaching at tracked him down to his new school to convince him to tutor her daughter, claiming ”You were her favorite teacher; she really needs good grades in English to get into Law School!” He soon found that he loved being able to experiment with thematic learning and bleeding edge edtech in this own tutoring practice and quickly realized the power and potential of one particular technology: virtual reality. Adam founded YouToring (a virtual reality teaching platform) in 2018 and has already reached students on 3 continents. Ask The Tech Coach: A Podcast For Instructional Technology Coaches and EdTech Specialists

This week, over 20,000 educators came together in Philadelphia Pennsylvania to attend the ISTE 2019 (http://www.isteconference.org) conference. This year was even bigger and better than last year. I had the opportunity not just to present, but also meet and work with several of today's leading educational technology companies. In this episode, we take a look back at the conference and share insights from both educators and edtech companies about what they see as the state of today's digital classrooms and what we can look forward to next year at ISTE 2020 (http://www.isteconference.org) . If you were able to make it to @TeacherCast (http://www.teachercast.net/twitter) or leave a comment below to let us know how your experience in Philly was. We would love to hear from you! He’s been in the educational field since he graduated high school and has served as an instructional assistant, substitute teacher, teacher, dean of students, and assistant principal. He started his journey in California then moved to Arizona with his wife and started their family in the desert. After 11 years in the dry heat, he picked up his family and off they went to Texas, to a much more humid environment. He loves helping those who help our students. He currently supports teachers with all of their EdTech needs in the classroom. This includes troubleshooting, planning lessons/units with teachers, modeling lessons for teachers, and providing professional development. In addition, he’s presented at various conferences in Arizona as well as FETC. In addition to this, he is also a foodie and loves to cook and chow down on food of all sorts. He would much rather cook at home with the family than eat out at a restaurant. He is in no way professionally trained in the culinary arts however, he learned at an early age that the kitchen is nothing more than a laboratory where experiments are tested and conducted. Sometimes they are a success and sometimes, you throw up in your mouth! These two passions have come together in his EdTech Bites podcast. He gets to share these two topics with the world on a weekly basis. He believes that the best conversations are had at the table then you break bread together.
