Are you a busy business owner struggling to find time for marketing? Don't worry, you're not alone. Many business owners find it challenging to prioritise marketing amidst their daily operations. But fear not, because I've got you covered. In this episode, I'll share with you five quick and effective marketing strategies that you can implement in just five minutes each day. These strategies are designed to help you make the most of those short bursts of time and create valuable marketing content for your business. Before we dive into the strategies, let's talk about the concept of five minute marketing. The idea behind it is to leverage those small pockets of time throughout your day and turn them into opportunities for marketing. While you may not be able to create a masterpiece in just five minutes, you can still accomplish a lot. Short-form videos, for example, are an excellent way to utilise these brief moments. Simply grab your phone, share a few tips and tricks related to your business, and voila! You have a valuable piece of marketing content. Now, let's get into the five minute marketing strategies: Research One of the best ways to make use of those five-minute time slots is by doing some research. There are several options for research in the realm of marketing. You can explore relevant hashtags, identify potential advertising opportunities, or search for guest posting prospects. One useful technique is to type in the website or keywords you want to target, along with phrases like "article submission" or "guest post," and see what comes up in the search results. Bookmark the sites that catch your interest and return to them later to submit your articles. Additionally, you can look for journalists seeking sources, explore platforms like SourceBottle, or join communities and meetups to promote your business. The best part is that most of these research activities can be done conveniently on your phone. Ask Questions Questions are a powerful tool for engaging with your audience and building your profile. Take advantage of those five-minute intervals to ask questions on various social media platforms, such as Facebook groups, your own pages/profiles, YouTube shorts, or Instagram reels. You can even tap into the collaboration features available on Instagram to collaborate with others in creating posts and stories. Be sure to come back later to answer those questions in another five-minute time slot. Engaging with your audience and showing a genuine interest in their opinions can foster meaningful connections and improve your online presence. Check Your Profiles Taking a few minutes to review your social media profiles is essential. Ensure that your website link is up to date and that your profiles accurately reflect what you and your business are all about. You don't want to miss out on any potential opportunities because of outdated or incomplete profiles. Pay attention to your description, contact links, and profile/header images. Social media platforms often change their formatting, so make sure your images still look appropriate. By regularly maintaining your profiles, you present yourself professionally and increase your chances of making a strong impression on potential customers. Social Media Programming This five minute marketing strategy involves using tools like Meta Business Suite, TikTok, Meet Edgar, Later, Missing Letter, or Metricool to schedule your social media posts in advance. By dedicating a specific time slot to program your posts, you can create a consistent flow of content without constantly having to think about it. These tools offer features such as batch creation and variations, allowing you to save time and keep your platforms active and engaging. For instance, you can connect your blog's RSS feed to platforms like Missing Letter and Meet Edgar to automatically share your blog posts with customized variations across your social media channels. Convert Blog Posts into Videos: If you have a well-performing blog post, especially one that ranks well on search engines, consider transforming it into a video using tools like Pictory or Lumen5. By utilising the text-to-video feature, you can repurpose your blog content and create a brand new piece of video content. Simply input the URL of your blog post, let the video tool work its magic, and in just five minutes, you'll have a new and engaging form of content to share. Video content is highly engaging and can help you reach a wider audience. In conclusion, these five-minute marketing strategies are designed to help busy business owners like you make the most of their limited time. By incorporating these strategies into your daily routine, you can consistently produce valuable marketing content and stay connected with your audience. So, embrace those short bursts of time and start implementing these strategies today. Remember, small steps can add up to significant marketing results! I hope you found these five-minute marketing tips helpful. Let me know which one is your favourite and if you have any other strategies to add to the mix. Her industry-spanning consultancy and advisory services make her the ideal person to quiz on top marketing, planning and sales strategies. Sneak Peek: “You have to try to help people to go back to the data, which means you need to really understand your customer, your results, and how those two things connect together so that you can show people — even if they disagree with something that marketing is doing — why you're doing it, and why that makes sense from the customer's point of view. If you can help people get back to the customer's point of view (versus their own personal point of view), it really, really helps.” Key discussions covered in this episode include: How marketers are often the tip of the spear on new strategiesWhat to do to adjust your marketing strategy in times of big changeWhy MQLs aren't everything and what marketers should focus on instead Don't have all the time in the world, but still want great insights? In a world where every startup is using innovative technology to disrupt the status quo, how can you ensure that your idea stands above the rest? Josh Lowman believes that the answer to cutting through the noise lies in category design and creation. As founder of Gold Front, a San Francisco based category design studio, Josh has worked with over 40 C-suite executives and their teams to create new categories and market them to their customers. Sneak peek: “To me, the definition of something that's disruptive is, it's categorically different,” says Josh. He argues that if you aren't creating a new category of solutions that can solve unique customer needs, you may be leaving critical opportunities (and dollars) on the table. Category design goes beyond product positioning; it's a North Star that executives can lean on “to animate and lead their entire company.” It's the core DNA of the business and requires company-wide support — from product to marketing to sales — in order to succeed. The way we consume content is rapidly evolving and brands looking to get an edge over the competition must master video. Mike Cheng, CEO, and Co-founder of Lumen5, believes snappy, shareable content formats like bite-sized video snippets are sounding the death knell to the traditional blog. “It can be very daunting to think about how to build a successful video brand — that could take years — but it's one video at a time, and that's the answer to how you build a video content empire,” says Mike. In this episode of Supercharge Marketing, you'll learn: why video is set to dominate the marketing world the importance of finding out which content formats your customers prefer how you can make your brand stand out with powerful multimedia content
Content is King and engagement is queen. Interactive online content will always remain at the forefront of building an audience, answering key questions, and strengthening your reputation and brand. However, producing content is no longer enough if the audience doesn't engage. The way people consume content is changing and our audience relishes instant gratification and quick information. As a writer, currently writing, even I have to admit I love nothing more than a quick explainer video; engaging, visual, and straight to the point offering instant information and insight. Helping businesses boost their content strategy to support the way buyers consume and buy is Lumen5, a B2B video creation tool built by marketers for marketers. Dani Hao, communication and community manager offers us insights into the way content consumption is changing and how marketers have to adapt, test, and go beyond with their content strategy. Dani reminds us that people buy from people and investing in authentic and trust-building content is key to a business's success. For those who do like to slow it down with a bit of written content thanks for getting this far.

It can be challenging for startups, nonprofits, and freelancers to afford the tools and personnel necessary to develop professional and sophisticated social media content. Today's guest, Erika Mayor, shares many of the free tools and platforms she uses as a freelance public relations and marketing consultant to help organize, create, and deliver content for growth. Erika was a journalist before her career as a freelance consultant. While working at a local TV station in Florida during the 2005 hurricanes, she realized working at the station was burning her out. Because the station worked closely with the Red Cross (because of the hurricane relief they offered), they offered her a job in their communications department. This started Erika's passion for nonprofit work. Because nonprofits have so little funding, Erika had to wear many hats. In order to get everything done that she needed, Erika started to use tools that helped with different aspects of her job: Canva is a phenomenal free platform to create graphics and different content. A scheduling tool like Later lets you plan out posts in advance so you can focus on tracking and extrapolating data from those posts. When it comes to digital marketing, video gets many more views than still imagery. Lumen5 and Videoleap are free video editing tools that help anyone create well-edited videos. Luman5 even makes video based on keywords with their extensive library of high-quality b-roll. Snapseed is an app that edits photos, adds filters and is available on both Android and iOS. Powerful project management tools you should use: Meistertask and asana keep tasks organized and help keep your team accountable as you work to complete different projects. Slack is an internal messenger app that leaves your email inbox free of clutter and less bogged down. For internal communication, relying on Gmail and outlook accounts will inevitably lead to things falling through the cracks. Erika uses these platforms to a high degree of success: She had a client in the transportation industry, and she was working with an agency to support this client. The topics were heavy, complicated, and difficult to understand. Erika realized videos would be the best solution, so she and her team created videos with Lumen5 based on existing blogs (utilizing the platform's b-roll) to generate content with better traction. How has she stayed in business? She spent five years working exclusively on referrals, so she didn't have a website or anything. Then she realized she needed to legitimize herself, She believes in paying it forward. So, if you meet someone who could benefit from using these tools, please share them with them. (You never know how much easier it could make someone's day.) Erika's book and podcast recommendations: The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck by Mark Manson The Midnight Library by Matt Haig (she found out about these on Tik Tok, but we won't judge.) You're Wrong About Conan O'Brien Needs a Friend To get in contact with Erika, connect with her on LinkedIn.

It might feel like it’s impossible to keep coming up with new ideas of things to write about, make graphics about or film videos about. After all, hasn’t everything already been done before? It sounds you like need to start repurposing. This is Clickstarter, the Australian Digital Marketing podcast. I’m Dante St James. Anyone these days who advises you to produce new content every single day for your business on social media is probably following a very old piece of advice that they heard many years ago. The reality is that frequency of posting is no guarantee of whether people will see you and want to engage with what you do post. In fact, continuing to post 3 times a day to no audience is madness. Apart from wasting your time, you’re just confirming to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter or TikTok that you are not even trying to reach people. You’re behaving a little bit like a bot. These days social media is less about going viral and more about: · Posting things that engage people enough to react to your post· Educate people enough to become curious about your business· Excite people enough to want to go and find out more about you Unfortunately, we tend to forget all this and try to find an automated, predictable flow of posts that fit into our busy day. Businesses constantly tell me that Facebook is holding them back from being seen. The reality is that they are posting rubbish that no one has an interest in seeing. But let’s not let logic get in the way of a good old whinge, right? At some point in your business’ journey through the world of social media, you may have had one thing that actually worked. Why not repost that? Or give it an update and repost it? Why not go a step further? What was it about that post that got people to respond? Can you replicate that with a new topic or idea? You can search through your page insights to find what is working best, then take what it was that worked and do it again. Likewise, there’s stuff that isn’t working. So it makes sense to stop doing that. Yet most of us just keep repeating the same stuff over and over again. Remember that quote about repeating the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result? That definitely applies here. Another kind of repurposing is where you take things you’ve already done and you try to get more out of them. For example, you write regular blog posts. They go on your website and that’s that, right? What if you could take that blog and make it into 30 different other pieces of content? You could repost that blog entry into LinkedIn, Medium, Blogger and even Facebook. That’s 4. Then turn the key points in your blog into graphical quotes on Canva that you can then post on to Facebook, LinkedIn, GoogleMyBusiness and Twitter. If you had 3 key points, that’s another 12. Or 16 so far. Now you can use a video template on a tool like InVideo, Canva, Wave Video or Lumen5 to turn each of those points into a musical, moving, animated set of posts. That’s another 12. We’re already up to 28. Convert each of those into vertically oriented stories to place on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube shorts. That’s another 12. We’re now at 40. And I haven’t even talked about turning the blog into a podcast episode or a longer-format YouTube video, a live Facebook or Instagram video. You can see how suddenly that boring old blog post can turn into something much bigger, very quickly. What could an extra 43 pieces of content do to lift your presence online? I want you to picture this scenario: You've just published a great blog post. It's doing well on social media, your subscribers are loving it, and you've optimized it to make sure it ranks well on Google. If you've done all of these things, then your recently published blog post will generate enough traction and traffic. So what do you do after you're done publishing and promoting the post? Do you immediately start working on a new article? But you can't just leave the old post behind? After all, it's one of the best articles you've published on your site. Now you can do one of two things: you can wait for your article to slowly start ranking higher in search results. But that's in the long run and you'll need to spend some time generating relevant backlinks for the article. Or, you can simply repurpose your content and reach a whole new audience for your awesome blog post. Repurposing content is the practice of finding new ways to recycle your blog posts or any piece of content to amplify their reach. In this episode, I'll reveal 12 effective ways to repurpose your content. -=-=-=-=- Tools & resources discussed in this episode: [Blog Post] 12 Clever Ways to Repurpose Content (and Get More Traffic) Video creation - Lumen5, InVideo Graphic design - Canva, Venngage Podcast hosting - Anchor Interactive content - Outgrow eBook Creator - Beacon Webinar hosting - EasyWebinar Livestreaming - OneStream Live (OneStream Live review) Gary Vaynerchuk's Content Model -=-=-=-=- BONUS RESOURCES + FREE DOWNLOADS If you're a fan of the podcast, here are some FREE online marketing resources from my blog, 99signals, to help you level up your marketing skills: The Ultimate Blogging Toolkit (https://resources.99signals.com/blogging-tools-ebook) - This eBook features 75+ marketing tools to help you blog better and boost your traffic! The vaccines are being rolled out as we speak, but that doesn't mean COVID-19 is behind us. The pandemic has left tens of millions of people out of work and companies struggling to stay alive. This week, Duntrune LLP's https://www.duntrune.law/matthew-dewar (Matthew Dewar) joins the show to share his expectations for employer/employee relations in 2021. While some long layoffs might be considered termination, seeking a settlement from cash strapped companies could be futile in the midst of a pandemic. He's got some ideas on how employers can manage risk and what laid-off employees should consider, too. Then we look at some positive news from last week: Major League Baseball's decision to include player statistics from the Negro Leagues into the official baseball stat book. The Negro Leagues stopped playing 72 years ago, so it was a long-time coming. While it might appear to be an easy win for MLB, Cam explains why it wasn't quite so simple, and shared his thoughts on what MLB did right as it rolled out the announcement. In Check This Out, we look at the much maligned (but excellent) U2 album Zooropa, which was released 25 years ago. Staying on the music theme, Cam talked about Britney Spears (!?!?), Henry Kissinger, and growing up in Kentucky. You won't want to miss it. This marks the final episode of the PR & Law Podcast in 2020. We managed to complete 37 episodes in 37 consecutive weeks, made simpler by the fact Cam and Ewan have both been locked at home throughout much of the pandemic! We have big plans for the show in 2021 and are always looking to improve it. We welcome your thoughts, criticisms, suggestions, ideas, whatever you've got! You can reach us at podcast@prand.law. Scarfiotti@robingood.it

This week’s episode is a practical episode, with lots of incredible tips from Amy Woods, an expert in repurposing content. In her business, Content 10x, Amy takes a core piece of content and ensures she maximises it to its full potential. Whether your core piece of content is an article, a video or a podcast, Amy shares her top tips for creating various other pieces of content alongside it, without taking up too much of your time. If you’re looking to put more content out into the world, this is definitely the episode for you. Key Takeaways Covered in the Podcast · Repurposing content is split into two different sides – promoting your core content and then taking the message of your core content and communicating it in various different ways. · You should be promoting your content in various different ways. Whether that’s a teaser image, a launch post, a reminder post or various different posts throughout the launch period. Sharing your own content is never a bad thing, especially if you’re getting a conversation started. · Having longevity in your repurposing strategy is valuable. This means thinking about SEO and search queries for Google, YouTube and other popular platforms. · The lifespan of Tweet is 18 minutes, so don’t worry about scheduling lots of your own content. Not everyone is going to see it. · You need to look at the existing resources and the skills that you have, thinking about what steps you can add to your content creation processes that would allow you to repurpose content easily. · If you don’t think you have the time to repurpose content, you may want to consider outsourcing it to someone else. · Blog posts are one-dimensional, which often makes it hard to repurpose. When it comes to your copy, however, this is something that can be shared in various different places. From sharing it on LinkedIn to using it on Instagram Stories, it’s an easy jump. If it helps, create some graphics using Canva. · If you’re looking to make a video or podcast out of a blog post you have written, you can use the post as a way to structure any further content you make. · Lumen5 is a great way to repurpose your blog post into a video. The software will pull out the main points of your blog post, making a video for you. · Live video is a great starting point when it comes to content as it’s an experience for your followers, helping you to build a community. It gives people access to you and it’s authentic content. · If you have published a live video, you can extract the audio and potentially use it as a podcast episode. · Write key discussion points from your videos and turn them into a blog. The same applies to podcast episodes when you’re creating show notes. · When creating a podcast, you may also want to consider having a transcript. · If you’re talking about visual content in a podcast, it helps to have visual content that goes alongside it. This could be a content upgrade and lead generation tool. · Repurposing content doesn’t necessarily have to be breaking down content, but it could be building it up too. For example, you could turn 10 blog posts into an eBook. · When it comes to repurposing content that people have paid for, you need to be as transparent as you possibly can. Whilst you can’t give everything away, there are ways in which you can share some of the information you’re...
During Episode 98 of the HyperFast Agent Podcast, Sam Khorramian, CEO of Big Block Realty, shares his hacks to leveraging systems and automation so you can get more done in less time. Sam provides multiple tools that will help you compress time and fast-track your success using proven methods that bring huge results. Episode Highlights: What is your effort to result ratio? Sam's goal is always to get high results with little effort. Learn how to leverage these tools to get more done but spend less time. Sam didn't do anything that you can't do. He spent his time in seminars instead of college, learning about opportunities to get more with less. He proudly spends 2-3 months out of the office every year. Having better systems and predictability happens when you leverage tools and automation. Know how millionaires become millionaires. Millionaires figure out how to get more out of the things that they're already doing. All of us have the same amount of time, but some of us work on building the foundation that will help us fuel our growth. Sam tells a story about his child earning a toy from his rewards system that illustrates why you should leverage media in your business. If you leverage media, everything you've wanted in your life is on the other side of it. Sam recommends Adbeat. Go into Adbeat, put in your competitor, and it will pull up every ad they're running on the internet and every site they're sending traffic to. It will tell you how much money they are spending on the ad and how long the ad has been running. Successful people look to other people to find the shortcuts to success. Sam recommends PowerAdSpy. The shortcuts are already there if you know how to find them. Stop trying to figure it out on your own. Successful people do it the way other successful people have done it before. Success leaves clues. Writing compelling copy is the easiest way to get your audience to feel inspired and take action. Go to amazon.com, go to the books section, write in “first-time homebuyer” and filter the results by the most sales. Competitive intelligence is the backbone of everything we do. Consider content hacking. Realtors are in the content creation game more than they have ever been before. Sam recommends BuzzSumo. Put in the topic or the phrase you want to make content around. BuzzSumo will find the most viral pieces of content around that subject. Titles get people to click and share. With the power of technology, all of these tools are built to give you the shortcuts you are looking for. Repurpose content, drive traffic to it, and you might just go viral. Sam recommends Hawkeye. This is AI meets content creation. Put in the target or the subject you want to create content about. Hawkeye does a reverse lookup to find gaps in the internet around content that needs to be created. Find gaps in the marketplace. Serve the marketplace and watch the marketplace start to serve you. If you're not doing video, one day you will regret this decision. We have to become somebody. Grant Cardone said that you have to remember that people give in to the person they see the most. There's endless opportunity of content that people want. There's endless tools to reverse hack, reverse engineer, the best way to get there. Sam recommends Brandzooka. They sell you unused space on tv for next to nothing. Sam recommends Video Marketing Blaster, which just requires three clicks to get any of your videos ranking on the first page of YouTube and Google. Sam describes how videos can lead to referrals. He interviews referral partners, helps them rank on Google, and in turn they feel obligated to refer business to him. Leverage tools to make people find you, use you, and feel obligated to reciprocate. Sam recommends Lumen5. Lumen5 will let you take any article on the internet and turn it into a video that's 100% new and made just for you. Go into BuzzSumo, find an article that's smashing it, put it in Lumen5, take the article into a new piece of content that nobody has in video format, then distribute. How many of us want or understand the power of having influence on Instagram? You need to make your own mystery egg. The only way to make your own mystery egg is with content. Sam recommends influence.co, which allows you to find people with big audiences, pay them a few hundred dollars, and they shout you out on their Instagram. The harder a decision seems to be for people, the less likely it is that we will spend enough time researching it in order to determine what to do - but why is that, how should we handle the component of time when it comes to waiting to make decisions, and what can you do to eliminate the fear of regret in your life? What to Listen ForWhy do we spend a lot of time researching insignificant decisions and little time researching significant decisions? How can you approach life-changing decisions from a neutral point of view so you can make the decision for the right reasons? How do does action versus inaction affect our likelihood to regret a certain event and how can you change your perspective in order to eliminate regret? How do we take time into account when deciding how much time to spend researching minor and major decisions? What are the three types of decisions and how can your awareness of each one help you to avoid wasting valuable timeWhat is anchoring and how does it affect our decision making as we make decisions that build on one another and how can your awareness of it prevent you from falling into an unhealthy trap? What are market norms and social norms and how do they affect your willingness to oblige someone's request for help? How do market norms reduce the trust between people and turn relationships into economic transactions? We make decisions that affect our lives every single day. Some decisions are small, some are big, and some are repeated on a regular basis. Unfortunately, we only have so much time to think about these decisions so it can save us a lot of time if we at least understand how to approach each one. Small decisions, like what movie theater to go to or what appetizer to get, should take the least amount of our time since they impact our lives the least, and our time is better spent being present or contemplating more important decisions. Big decisions, like where to live or who to marry, should necessitate more time as they will have lasting effects on our lives. And lastly, decisions that are made regularly, like your morning routine or what to eat each day, should be automated as much as possible to reduce the drain on your willpower so that it can be used for resource-intensive tasks like work, or studying, or solving complex problems in your life. We only have so much time to live - don't waste it on unimportant issues in your life.A Word From Our SponsorsShare your vulnerabilities, victories, and questions in our 17,000-member private Facebook group at theartofcharm.com/challenge. Today on Who's There, we begin with three comment calls! One is about the fleeting nature of Clear Blue pregnancy tests (despite the permanence of their accompanying Instagram posts), while the following two update us on Sarah Jessica Parker's cryptic comment that was apparently misquoted by Us Weekly. The remainder of the show features calls about a lesser known fault in California, the host of Love Island USA, the spawn of Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke, a pseudo-feud between Apryl Jones + Moniece Slaughter, and the word "Fuckships." We also update listeners on Joss Stone's creative project and play a game of Who/Them that includes a VERY wild story about Bobby's run-in with Olympia Dukakis. Per usual, it's a jam-packed episode. Relationships are a two-way street, but when it comes to communication it's important to understand people have a variety of preferences when it comes to how love and affection are given and received, so what are those preferences, how can you identify what someone's preferences are, and how can you implement all of this information to build new relationships and strengthen existing ones? What to Listen ForWhat can you do to strengthen the relationships in your life? What can you do if you think you're a great listener but people around you keep complaining about you not listening? Why is it a recipe for disaster to look for someone to complete you and what should you be looking for instead? What are the Five Languages of Appreciation and how can you pick the best one for each of your relationships? What are the three parts of communication and how does your awareness of each part help to mitigate miscommunication? How do you identify the love languages of family, friends, and coworkers? Why are openness and vulnerability mandatory when it comes to figuring out the love languages of the people in your life? What little signals can you pay attention to so you can get an idea for how your loved ones communicate? In order to deepen the connections we have with the people around us, it's important to understand how the people around us prefer to be treated. Just because you view the giving and receiving of affection one way, doesn't mean everyone else does as well. Clicks And Leads | For Entrepreneurs | Digital Marketing | Success Thinking | Being A Digital Nomad
Having been watching the comments in a big marketer's Facebook Lives, I'm struck by how people are always seeking certainty before taking action. Will it work for me / my business, will it work in my niche, will it work in my country? The limiting / negative beliefs and sweeping generalisations were coming thick and fast. This is in direct contrast to how I work, where I'll take an idea and get the "minimal viable version" up and running and just test, test, test! I'm actually testing using Facebook Live to record the middle part of my vzine each week now, so that I can test Social Media Examiner's assertions that Facebook Lives are a waste of time after the event, while Frank Kern says the exact opposite. Clicks And Leads is a "tongue in cheek" digital marketing Vzine by entrepreneur, author, podcaster, speaker, Nicola Cairncross. Mentioned In The Vzine Lumen5 Open Broadcaster Software Writing Club World Own It! The Podcast NicolaCairncross.com/blog On the blog Split Testing Prices How Is 2019 Looking? Too Little Too Late? Prefer to read? Hello, and welcome to the Vzine this week. I'm going live on Facebook. I'm taking a leaf out of Frank Kern's book, and I'm going live. In the middle section of the Vzine this week is me going live, talking about entrepreneurial uncertainty because so many people seem to be seeking entrepreneurial certainty and there just isn't any such thing. So I cover the main points about what I see people needing and how to deal with entrepreneurial uncertainty and I hope you enjoy it. I'm still in Shoreham, I'm staying with the kids an extra couple of weeks, just because I can, and I'm heading back on Friday to Stoupa in The Mani. I give you a tip in the middle section this week about someone who is a natural-born marketer. And if you're interested in Greece, then you can follow her and she goes live on a regular basis and shows you the most beautiful parts of where we live. Let's get on with the show, shall we? The whole topic of today's conversation, for the first five minutes anyway, is, living with uncertainty as an entrepreneur. Because I was just watching one of Frank Kern's live videos and he's been doing a lot recently and I was reading the comments, and one of the things I was noticing was people were seeking assurance. They were seeking assurance that things would work for them, that things would work in their market niche, that things would work in their geolocation, and they just really wanted to know that things would work. So they were looking for assurances that it would work in the real estate market, they were looking for assurances that social media marketing would work in the car sales market, and they were looking for assurances that it would work in the bug catching arena. I know Hal the Bug Catcher, from down there in Florida, and he has done great with video marketing. I don't believe there's a business that could not do well with video marketing and social media marketing. There was one guy on Frank's timeline that was asking about a banqueting hall. He'd got the job of trying to market a banqueting hall. Well, I'd be going live from every single event that that banqueting hall is hosting. I'd be going down there as a marketing person, I'd be making sure I was taking fabulous video live from the events. Or I'd be getting fabulous photos of the events and I would be turning those photos into a video using a tool like Lumen5 for example, and then I would be putting some fabulous music on top of that, and then I'd be rolling that out on my Facebook page. I think there is ways now using, what is it, OPS? Open Broad-- OBS,

How to get genuine engaged followers on social media and some tools we are using to make life easier. We are documenting the launch of a new CBD shop business and today's podcast talks about what we are doing to begin cementing our brand and helping it grow. I have used a couple of apps lately, Lumen5, Twiends and Sprizzy. I tell you what they do, and give a little feedback on their effectiveness. Getting yourself established on social media is fundemental to grow your brand and build a longer lasting business with roots and fans, not just customers. Growing a brand is fundamental to longevity in any business. Brand wins every day. Here's an example, an Amazon seller, is only winning for as long as they are cheap and offer free shipping. THEN, a rival shop undercuts them by a penny and the race to the bottom continues. If you have a brand, then you control the price it goes out to market at, and you control distribution. Brand wins everyday. So if you are looking for some tips to get you motoring, plug in to today's podcast on setting up social media in the right way. AgoraPulse – Great for different types of scheduling, evergreen tweets and recurring tweets. ManageFlitter – Analyzes your Twitter account to tell you the best time to tweet. They also have a lot of amazing features beyond scheduling. SocialJukebox – Great tool for scheduling evergreen tweets where you add it once and and it resends periodically on autopilot. Graphic Design Tools Canva – Use this tool to put together banners, graphics and social media posts. They have great customizable templates you can use to create any graphics you need. They also have a lot of stock photos to choose from that are free or cost only $1. Adobe Spark – They have an app and desktop version. This tool is great to create graphics with quotes, but they also have many templates to use and make designing graphics really easy. SnagIt – This tool allows you to grab screenshots, crop and adjust photos. Plus you can make short screen recordings and edit photos. DepositPhotos – A photography and stock photo collection for purchase to use in your content. On My Desk Sarah recommended Lumen5. Nic reminded everyone to take some time out to think (prompted by the fact he didn’t manage to think of a recommendation. Well, he is on holidays, after all) James recommended NPR’s How I Built This podcast. Brand Newsroom is a marketing podcast for anyone who has a say in how companies are communicating — covering marketing, content marketing, public relations, media, branding and advertising. www.brandnewsroom.net
In Episode 24, I interviewed Baker Al-Nakib, the Cofounder of Open Spot Parking, Inc., headquartered in British Columbia, Canada (www.openspot.ca). Their app (and website) allows drivers to find, reserve, and pay for parking seamlessly-whenever and wherever they need it, either in advance or on-the-go. After proving that their "sharing economy" business model worked, Baker and his cofounder focused on the integration of sensor parking spot monitoring technology as the first major strategic "pivot" for the company's history. The sensors open the door to the capture of additional data that cities can use to determine where new parking lots (and buildings) should be constructed. If you integrate user data, then Open Spot Parking could eventually help plan the driverless car future.Open Spot Parking in going to re-invent how city planning is conducted and possibly set the stage for driverless cars. 3 useful tools for your daily social media activities.
ProBlogger Podcast: Blog Tips to Help You Make Money Blogging
A Free Tool to Create Videos For Your Facebook Page This episode is presented by The Success Incubator - a brand new event I’m co-hosting this year for ProBlogger readers and online entrepreneurs. Today I'm announcing 3 great speakers - Pat Flynn, Kim Garst and Andrea Vahl (more details here). Save $50 with the coupon code SUCCESS17. In today’s episode, I’m going to share with you a free tool that I’ve been using over the past few weeks to create videos for my Facebook pages, Twitter accounts and other social media profiles that is getting crazy amounts of reach. It’s a tool that enables you to take a blog post that you’ve already written on your blog and to repurpose it into a short video to promote that blog post! Yep - you heard me. This tool takes a blog post you’ve already written and with a little help from you (just 10-15 or so minutes of work) it will create you a short video that you can then use anywhere you like to drive people to your post. I’ve been doing these videos for a week or so now and some of them are getting a lot of reach on Facebook. In fact I’m not the only one. One of our Facebook group members messaged me this morning about a video she created with this tool and on her FB page of just 20,000 followers she has had a video get over 300,000 views in 24 hours! So if you want to create great short videos for your FB page in just a few minutes - this episode is for you. Links and Resources mentioned in todays show Success Incubator (use coupon code SUCCESS17) Facebook Group Lumen 5 How to Create Amazing Videos on Your SmartPhone And here are some examples of the videos you can create with Lumen5. Before I get into today’s episode, I want to let you know about a brand new event that we’re running this year in Dallas, Texas on the 24th and 25th of October. This is our only US event this year. I’m really excited about what we’re doing. The event is called The Success Incubator. I’m co hosting it with another group of people who’ve been running another amazing event called The Digital Collab. The Success Incubator is for bloggers, online entrepreneurs, anyone who really wants to build a business online. It’s being held on the 24th and 25th of October in Dallas, just before the FinCon conference, which is another great conference, by the way, that I am speaking at this year. I’m really excited today to announce three of our speakers, our keynote speakers for The Success Incubator. Firstly, there’s Pat Flynn from Smart Passive Income, who will be a no stranger to most listeners of this podcast. He delivers amazing practical value. He’s built an amazing business. Secondly, there’s Kim Garst, founder of Boom! Social and someone who is just brilliant, particularly when it comes to Live video. That’s what she’ll be focusing her session on as well. And then there’s Andrea Vowell who is one of my favourite speakers. She’s a very funny person but she’s also very experienced in social media and will be speaking about Facebook Advertising. There’s more speakers to be announced in the coming weeks but I’m so excited to have Pat, Kim, and Andrea joining us. I’m also very excited to offer you as a ProBlogger podcast listener a special little discount code. You can get $50 off Success Incubator over the next week or so if you head over to problogger.com/success and use the coupon code, it’s really important that you get this right, SUCCESS17. When you go to problogger.com/success, you’ll see there more details of the event and you can get that $50 discount as well.
