Romans 6:10-11 — When Christ prayed in the Garden of Gethsemane and felt anguish, it was because He knew that the crucifixion would cut Him off from the realm of God and He wanted to be spared of it. However, Christ came as a volunteer and prayed that the Lord's will would be done and that He would be restored back to the realm of God. Christ died once unto sin and He is finished with sin once and for all. Dr. Martyn Lloyd-Jones outlines this in his sermon on Romans 6:10–11 titled “No More in Realm of Sin and Death.” Christ came out of glory only once, but He did so for humanity's sake. Now that Paul has finished emphasizing this point, he moves on to how this truth can be applied. Dr. Lloyd-Jones notes that the truth about humanity has been shared repeatedly up until this point, but now Paul wants the listener to reckon this truth unto themselves. Dr. Lloyd-Jones explains three principles that the Christian must bear in mind about these truths. He also explains the meaning and application of the word “reckon.” Therefore, may all reckon these truths day by day and live in thankfulness to the God who conquered sin and death. As Americans mark Labor Day with barbecues and time with family, the holiday's origins run much deeper—shaped in part by Catholic immigrants who filled the ranks of early unions. St. Joseph is the patron saint of workers because he taught Jesus the trade and craft of carpentry. And we meet a girl in North Dakota who is determined to make it to Carlo Acutis' canonization.

Friends of the Rosary,Yesterday, we reflected on the virtue of humility, associated with the first joyful mystery.Christ Jesus lowered Himself to our level when He took our human nature. He was born in a stable, grew up in the obscure village of Nazareth, earned his meager meals as a carpenter in the country, and died on a cross as a malefactor with two thieves as companions. There are far too many who set themselves up as judges over their neighbors and appoint themselves as the models to be imitated by all others. There is pride in each one of us, originating from an instinctive inclination to elevate and esteem ourselves. Our modern society doesn't help either, as it identifies humility with weakness and pushes us to be aggressive. And watch out for spiritual pride. The proud Christian himself is a contradiction. He muses: God forgives sinners too easily. God doesn't know them as well as I do.This is vanity and even ideology.Such Christians raise themselves above their neighbors, choosing the first places at the banquet. Just like the Pharisees of that time, who were thanking God that they were not like the rest of men.Jesus, I Trust In You!Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. Please give us the grace to respond with joy!+ Mikel Amigot w/ María Blanca | RosaryNetwork.com, New YorkEnhance your faith with the new Holy Rosary University app:Apple iOS | New! There are few things Kevin Nash feels stronger about than protecting the sanctity of the locker room. This week he and Sean dive deep into the latest wrestling controversy and the chaos surrounding Raja Jackson, a mark who never should have been backstage in the first place. Kevin's blunt take cuts through all the noise with the kind of clarity only a veteran can provide From wild travel stories to the headaches of carrying extra gear, Kevin explains what it was really like dragging costumes, props, and even animals from one city to the next . The conversation highlights how much has changed, and how much should never change when it comes to respecting the business. The episode doesn't stay in one lane for long. Sean brings up the Becky Lynch promo in Birmingham, where the line between heat and disrespect left plenty of people furious . Kevin has his own unfiltered thoughts on whether crossing that boundary is ever worth it, and what happens when performers confuse cheap shots with genuine impact. Along the way, the guys dig into bigger questions about faith, family, and the unexpected ways life pushes you to reflect . As with last week, Kevin opens up in ways that surprise even longtime listeners, and Sean keeps pressing into places where honesty reveals more than either of them might have planned. By the time the show wraps, you've gone from backstage scandals to NBA nostalgia, from indie mishaps to spiritual visions. It is another ride only Kevin Nash could take you on, and another Monday morning where the main event is hearing what he really thinks when the rest of the world is still arguing in circles BlueChew-Visit BlueChew.com and try your first month of BlueChew FREE when you use promo code NASH -- just pay $5 shipping. SummaryIn this conversation, Benjamin Lee delves into the themes of despair, suffering, and faith as illustrated in Psalm 88. He explores the raw emotions of the psalmist who feels abandoned and questions God's presence amidst his suffering. The discussion emphasizes the importance of prayer, trust in God during dark times, and the reality that suffering is a part of life for the righteous. Ultimately, Benjamin encourages listeners to maintain their faith and seek hope even when faced with despair.TakeawaysWhat if after all the prayers, nothing changes? The righteous can and will face great suffering.Sometimes our situations in life will not make any sense at all.Even in the darkness, he is going to God in prayer.God does not have to give me or you all the answers. This psalm also reminds us that following God does not mean He is going to fix all of my earthly problems.Don't stop crying out day and night to God.Jesus gives us hope. The psalmist knew that God was the one of salvation. We can bring our burdens to God.Chapters00:00 Exploring the Depths of Despair03:17 The Struggle with Abandonment06:31 Incomprehension in Suffering09:17 The Challenge of Faith in Darkness12:21 The Reality of Ongoing Struggles15:15 Trusting God Amidst Despair18:31 Endurance Through Trials21:20 Hope Beyond Darkness

Great Britain finds itself in the throws of a great storm. Britishflags are removed, while foreign flags are untouched. Mass migration floods the country, destabilizing cities and towns. Crime and violence stalk the streets. And the country's “leaders” cater to illegal immigrants while clamping down on British citizens. What is one to make of this madness? Most British people aregrasping for answers. Sadly, the mainstream churches in Britain have little to offer. They have long sinceabandoned Christ, the Gospel and biblical Truth. These churches look and sound no different than the world. Consequently, they have nothing to offer the world. But careful observers will notice something is changing; afaint spark glowing in the British cultural darkness. These are the early embers of reformation. Amidst the chaos, some Christians who retained the faith are finding their voices. Some are taking their first steps at countering the lies and ugliness engulfing their island. And regular people are taking a fresh look at enduring Truth. The Church in Britain may yet rise again. To help us better understand what is going on, Dr. Aaron Edwards joins Andy on this episode of the Christian Emergency Podcast. Though they first consider the recent tragedy in America – where a Catholic church and school was targeted in Minneapolis – they focus most of their time on developments in Britain. Daily 7A The Movement Launch Meeting Launch Code5 minutes to light the fuseHear from GodRemember who we areReceive blessingGo change the worldRon and Nick continue a discussion about the coming of the Holy Spirit and being in a community.notes:Acts 2:4IdentityFrom here on out in the story whenever we see a person who received the Spirit, we see the potential that Jesus is in them and with them. These are now the acts of the Holy Spirit and it is his identity we look for in what the people do. These are not people trying to know God, they are people filled with God line Jesus was filled with God. They know who he is and they know who they are. They have the internal witness of the Spirit of Jesus. All of Them The Holy Spirit makes no distinctions. All who waited for Him to come met him. Young and old men and women. This must have been both a shock and a delight. Social justice is a good thing maybe even a great thing but true equality and fair treatment is a myth outside this singular experience. This is the only place in history where the entire playing field is leveled completely and every single person receives the gift. Every person elevated to God-friend status. This is the only social equality that the church guarantees and it trumps any other. Making races equal or genders equal to each other before each other is meaningless. God giving every person equal access to the Holy Spirit and therefore equal before Him is actual equality. This is why the church must not become an entity which majors on economic, gender, or any other form of liberation theology because these are less than perfect and never to be obtained equalities while gospel equality IS liberation theology that is obtainable now and forever.

In this episode of Wake Up, Look Up, Pastor Zach unpacks the outrage over Cracker Barrel's logo change and asks the question, why are we so quick to get angry about things that don't matter? He reminds us that faux outrage distracts from real issues—like division, suffering, and injustice—that actually require our attention as followers of Jesus. Instead of chasing culture wars, Pastor Zach calls us back to being peacemakers and keeping our eyes on what truly matters.Have an article you'd like Pastor Zach to discuss? Matthew presents Jesus Christ as the Jesus as the Mashiach Nagid, the Messiah the King, the Lion of the tribe of Judah. It was written by a Jew, to Jews, about a Jew. This book of the Bible uses more Old Testament quotes than any other. The Gospel of Matthew emphasizes the saying of Jesus, including ten parables not found in any other Gospel. After first establishing the royal genealogy, he then goes on to focus on the fulfillment of the Old Testament prophecies. Matthew uses the term "fulfilled" 82 times! Many scholars now believe that the Gospel was written before Paul's first imprisonment of 57-60 A.D., and that virtually all of the New Testament books were written before Jerusalem's destruction. This study contains 24 hours of verse by verse teachings. Copyright © 11-01-2006 Recorded: 2006
Here is a picture of Christ; not as one who is weak, but one who is meek. He is full of mercy for theweak, the faint-hearted, and the broken – that is, those who are weary by their sin.He does not quench the smoking wick, but fans it into flame. He does not break those who arealready bending, but binds them up. Therefore, let none despair of coming to him. But take heed:This gentleness is reserved for those who bend the knee; the proud shall find him to be aconsuming fire.
Today's message explores the power of remembering and beholding Jesus, emphasizing that the blood of Christ is a living, present reality that transforms, protects, and empowers believers. Pastor Kendall McDowell encourages listeners to keep their focus on Jesus, especially in new seasons and storms, reminding us that what we consistently remember shapes our faith and responses. By fixing our eyes on Christ and refusing to be distracted by fear or circumstances, we experience true transformation and victory, knowing that God's presence always has the final word over every battle.

Welcome to the Podcast of Southwest Bible Fellowship in Tempe, Arizona. WHO ARE WE? • We are a group of people who are committed to living the grace life as set forth by the apostle of the Gentiles, the Apostle Paul. • We come together to study our Bibles, and yes, we believe we have God's perfect Word in the King James Bible. It and it alone is our final authority in all matters of faith and practice! • We do not come together and study our Bibles for the intent of being smarter than others. We understand that knowledge for the sake of knowledge is purely vain and serves no Godly purpose. • We do come together and study our Bibles for the intent of knowing our Lord Jesus Christ and the power of His resurrection. (Philippians 3:10) • We do come together and study our Bibles to understand that we have been crucified with Christ; nevertheless we live; yet not us, but Christ liveth in us: and the life which we now live in the flesh, we live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved us and gave himself for us. (Galatians 2:20) • We do come together and study our Bibles to understand that because Jesus Christ shed His blood for us and we should not live for ourselves but for Him, who died for us and rose again. (2 Cor. 5:15) • We do not claim to have attained to these lofty goals, but we press toward the mark of the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. John 12 brings us to the final public words of Jesus before He turns to the cross. After years of miraculous signs, fulfilled prophecies, and gracious teaching, the people still refused to believe. This passage confronts us with the sobering reality of unbelief, yet it also reveals the unshakable sovereignty of God in bringing His redemptive plan to pass. What seems like human rejection becomes the very means through which salvation is extended to the world. Here we see the contrast between the fragile glory of man and the eternal glory of Christ. We hear the voice of a Savior who does not remain silent or indifferent but cries out with urgency, offering light to those in darkness and life to those dead in sin. This sermon reminds us that God is sovereign, God is just, and yet God is merciful—pleading even now with sinners to come to Him while there is still time.Key Points: 1. The Folly of Unbelief 2. The Sovereignty of God 3. The Pursuit of Man's Praise 4. The Final PleaUnbelief hardens. Man's glory fades. But God's Word endures, His plan prevails, and His Son still calls: “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be saved.”
In this final sermon in our Proverbs series, Pastor Kevin looks at what Proverbs says about the inner life. Proverbs teaches that the heart is the inner life—the wellspring of thoughts, desires, and choices that directs everything we do. Scripture helps us diagnose the heart as prone to sin, deceit, and divided affections, while also showing how it is shaped by external influences such as people, words, wealth, and suffering. And as sinners, sufferers, and saints, we experience this reality in all its depth—yet through the gospel of grace in Christ, God restores the heart, cleansing it, giving new desires, and filling it with wisdom and life.
This is read for you by Bradley Ross, but edits have been made using an AI voice changer, elevenlabs.io, to help differentiate each speaker in the text. The text of the Book of Mormon is from the 1920 edition as republished by Grant Hardy. It differs only slightly from the edition currently in print from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I'm generally following Lynn and David Rosenvall for identifying speakers.
