Scott Galloway joins Bill Maher for a wide-ranging conversation about the state of American men, modern dating, AI, and the economy. The bestselling author, host of The Prof G Pod, and co-host of Pivot argues that young men have more agency than they think, and that learning to handle rejection is part of moving forward. He and Bill get into porn, the incel movement, the manosphere, why humor and kindness still matter, and why men should pick up the check. Galloway tells the story of meeting his wife, debates Bill on the existential risks of AI, and weighs in on China's growing AI advantage, tariffs, capitalism, the shrinking middle class, inherited wealth, and whether older generations have tilted the economy too far in their own favor.. On this month's Club Random Classics, Bill Maher revisits one of his most electric sit-downs with comedian Kathy Griffin. The two dig into why Kathy turns everything into a fight, her explosive war with MAGA nation, and what actually happens when the internet decides to cancel you. Kathy breaks down the real story behind that infamous Trump photo, the fallout it caused, and the long list of people who sued her over it. She and Bill also geek out on Joe Rogan's brilliance, revisit the upsetting Kennedy scene from the Marilyn Monroe biopic, and Bill pitches Kathy an entire TV show idea on the spot. This episode first aired on May 21, 2023. Bill Maher sits down with Iranian-American comedian Max Amini, a global comedy powerhouse who sells out shows around the world, for a conversation that swings from religion to revolution. Max opens up about growing up as an “American kid” in Iran, getting bullied at school, and quietly whispering that he was American while classmates chanted “Death to America.” The two trade faith stories: Bill admits he still gets sweaty palms walking into a church, while Max shares his father's Sufi belief that “our religion is love.” They get into Max's complicated relationship with Iran, the Shah's legacy, and what life under the country's religious regime has meant for generations of Iranians. And comedy is never far away, as Max shares his Jay Leno origin story and the best advice he ever received: “It's never too late, but it always could be too early." This Pulitzer Prize winning book traces the Central Intelligence Agency's (CIA) involvement in Afghanistan. Starting in 1979, it explains how the CIA funneled arms to the Afghan mujahideen through Pakistan's intelligence service in conjunction with money from Saudi Arabia. Next, it provides the details and complexities of how the CIA subsequently attempted to confront the rise in radical Islamic militancy, Osama bin Laden and Al-Queda, and the Taliban. Steve Coll tells the story in “Ghost Wars: The Secret History of the CIA, Afghanistan, and Bin Laden”.
Bill Maher reunites with his former Tomcats co-star Shannon Elizabeth for a revealing conversation about fame, fantasy, and the unexpected path her life took after American Pie. Shannon explains why she joined OnlyFans, where she draws the line, and why Bill still can't quite understand the appeal of an online fantasy. The conversation turns personal as Shannon shares why she left Hollywood for South Africa and devoted her life to animal conservation—including the heartbreaking moment that changed her path and inspired her work protecting endangered rhinos and elephants.Along the way, Bill and Shannon debate cosmetic procedures, relationships, and why sex before dinner simply makes more sense. It's an Emmajority Report Thursday on The Majority Report On today's program: In the Wake of Abdul El-Sayed's winning the Democratic nomination for Senate in Michigan, the GOP-machine's Islamophobia is reaching a fever pitch. El-Sayed's GOP opponent Mike Rogers tries to tie the Democratic nominee to Osama Bin Laden in his opening statement to kick off the general election. NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani is asked about Speaker Mike Johnson's comments on El-Sayed's victory on Tuesday putting the U.S. in danger of being overrun by "mini-Mamdani's'. Zohran says if El-Sayed's campaign promises of "money out of politics, money in your pocket and Medicare for all" are scary then that shows just how out-of-touch the Republican party is with the concerns of the working class. Stephen Zunes, Professor of Politics and Director of Middle Eastern Studies at the University of San Francisco, joins to discuss his piece in The Nation: "The Real Story Behind the Human Wave That Entered Ceuta." For more from Professor Zunes, check out his most recent book, coauthored with Jacob Mundy: Western Sahara: War, Nationalism, and Conflict Irresolution. Murtaza Hussain, covering national security and global affairs at Drop Site News, joins to discuss his piece: "For Your Eyes Only: Israel's Mole Inside the United Nations" In the Fun Half: Brandon Sutton joins. Chris Rabb changes Sean Hannity's name to Scott and then humiliates him in a debate over his platform. Democratic nominee for U.S. House of Representatives in Michigan's 13 district, Donovan McKinney speaks to the Wall Street Journal about how he is fine with being labeled a Socialist. McKinney points out that although Trump is very unpopular the Democratic party remains even more unpopular because people want champions and fighters for the working class. Donald Trump is wearing a wig; Brandon disagrees but he is wrong. At a Trump event in Nevada, Governor Joe Lombardo tries to initiate a moment of silence for a slain Cop but the cattle in the crowd heard his surname 'Abdelnabi' and instinctually start booing. Stephen Miller has a meltdown on Scott Hannity's show as he tries to fearmonger the geriatric audience with Hasan Piker's comment on America "deserving" 9/11. As Stephen Miller and Scott Hannity feign heavy hearts over 9/11, we take a look at the 16-year history of Republicans trying to block healthcare for September 11 victims and first responders. all that and more. Bill Maher welcomes Beatles historian Martin Lewis for a lively, opinionated conversation celebrating the music, myths, and enduring legacy of the greatest band in rock history. Together, they unpack how John Lennon and Paul McCartney built one of history's greatest creative partnerships, challenge the stories fans have been repeating for decades, and revisit the moments that changed music forever. Martin shares behind-the-scenes stories from his years working with Paul McCartney, explains why The Beatles continue to captivate each new generation, and gleefully busts some of the band's most persistent myths. Bill and Martin debate Get Back, A Hard Day's Night, Brian Epstein's influence, John Lennon's songwriting, Paul McCartney's genius, the breakup, and why, sixty years later, everyone still thinks they're the Beatles expert. Bill Maher welcomes Amanda Knox to Club Random. Wrongly convicted and imprisoned in Italy for years before being exonerated, Knox has since reinvented herself as an author, advocate, and stand-up comic. She reflects on what prison actually does to people, the strange economy of cigarettes behind bars, why she rejects the idea that "everything happens for a reason," and how surviving incarceration reshaped the way she sees the world.Amanda and Bill also spar over free will, "pretty privilege," and whether AI is pushing humanity toward a future we can't control. Bill then opens up about the biggest regret of his younger years—and why wisdom always seems to arrive too late. Pags absolutely unloads on Zohran Mamdani after his latest comments targeting wealthy New Yorkers, explaining why high taxes and anti-success policies are driving families and businesses out of the Empire State. Pags also calls out the hypocrisy of millionaire politicians like Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, arguing that what struggling Americans really need isn't bigger government—it's good-paying jobs. Then, former Navy SEAL Robert O'Neill, the man who killed Osama bin Laden, joins Pags for an unforgettable conversation on the escalating conflict with Iran, what's really happening in Ukraine, whether America could end up with boots on the ground, and if Israel pushed the U.S. into the fight. O'Neill also opens up about the invisible wounds many veterans carry, the guilt that follows combat, and a promising new treatment that's changing lives for those who've sacrificed everything. Inept autocrats. Baby Hitler. Osama Bin Laden's favorite soccer team. These are just a few of the many topics that Mehdi and Adam Friedland talked about on the new episode of 'We're Not Kidding'. The comedian and host of the wildly popular YouTube talk show, 'The Adam Friedland Show', sat down with Mehdi in New York City for a chaotic yet vulnerable conversation about Israel, U.S. politics, and some of Adam's most viral interviews. But first, Mehdi needed to argue about the World Cup. Even though they come from different backgrounds, Mehdi and Adam bond over their shared profession of interviewing defensive politicians. One of Adam's most viral interviews, with Bronx Congressman Ritchie "AIPAC Guy" Torres, was of particular interest to Mehdi. "You got very emotional there. Did he make you like that? Did the situation in Gaza make you like that?" Mehdi asks. And that's just the tip of the iceberg. The two also discuss: Adam's family history in South Africa. How Stephen Miller might have turned into a fascist (he and Adam went to school together). Trump's influence on the World Cup. Adam's experience working in an Israeli ambulance service. Bill Maher welcomes British comedian Jack Whitehall for a conversation that starts with a World Cup conspiracy theory and only gets more unhinged from there. Somewhere between the soccer talk and the soul-baring, Jack admits he cried watching Deal or No Deal but worried he wouldn't cry when his daughter was born. They also dive into Jack's infamous Queen Elizabeth joke that sparked outrage across the UK, and the Michael Jackson sketch he prayed wouldn't air. Bill weighs in on surviving cancel culture, Woody Harrelson's legendary hangouts, the Beatles, dating before smartphones, and why comedians often find it easier to perform than to actually be themselves.

Rick & Kelly share videos of LaKendra at their July 4th party, including the footage of her ON THE GOLF CART moments before she fell out, demonstrating an extreme lack of personal responsibility, along with other videos first shared on The Rick & Kelly Show on Patreon.com revealing her activities inside and outside the home, plus Rick encouraging Jamie Kennedy (and the others) to buckle up. This video is being shared because LaKendra continues to deny the truth about why she fell out, and continues to spin false narratives while not acknowledging her intoxicated state and completely irresponsible behavior. Rick & Kelly also share some details of their just-completed interview with Robert J. Bill Maher welcomes media mogul Byron Allen to Club Random for one of the most remarkable origin stories you'll hear all year. Long before building a multibillion-dollar media empire, Byron was a 14-year-old kid hanging around NBC, studying Johnny Carson like it was graduate school and writing jokes for Jimmie Walker alongside young comics named Jay Leno and David Letterman. Bill and Byron trade stories about Carson, the Comedy Store, Hollywood in the '70s and '80s, early career missteps, and the mentors who changed their lives. Byron explains how his mother's persistence shaped everything he built, why showing up earlier than everyone else became his greatest advantage, and why he still believes health—not money—is the ultimate measure of wealth. Two-time Oscar winner Kevin Spacey drops by Club Random for a conversation that goes exactly where you'd expect—and plenty of places you wouldn't. Bill doesn't let him dodge the tough questions, pressing Spacey on the allegations that derailed his career, the court cases that cleared him, and what it's like trying to rebuild a life from what he calls "show business jail." The two cover Hollywood's double standards, Jack Lemmon's mentorship, therapy, the Playboy Mansion, and Netflix shelving one of Spacey's completed films. Spacey also unveils what feels like an entire repertory company of impressions—Johnny Carson, Jack Lemmon, and more—as the conversation veers into Roman history, classic cinema, Dick Van Dyke's workout routine at 100, and why he thinks his best work may still be ahead of him. Uncover the truth about revolutionaries who hijacked the 70s — and why they're still shaping our world today. Have you ever wondered what fuels radicals to become what we call terrorists? Jason's new book, The Revolutionists, digs into the mindsets, characters, and global movements that blurred those lines in the 60s and 70s. In this episode we discuss the way revolutionary ideas—whether left-wing, right-wing, or religious—are often more fragmented than we realise. No monoliths here, just a wild mosaic of factions, motivations, and stories. These figures shaped today's conflicts in ways many of us overlook—like Bin Laden's rise from the chaos of that era.Chalke History Festival is on from the 22nd through to the 28th of June grab tickets from https://www.chalkefestival.comGrab a copy of The Revolutionists https://uk.bookshop.org/a/14692/9781529934540 Keep up to date with Jason viaHis Twitter: https://x.com/burke_jason The Guardian: https://www.theguardian.com/profile/jasonburkeIf you want to get in touch with History with Jackson email: jackson@historywithjackson.co.ukTo support History with Jackson to carry on creating content subscribe to History with Jackson+ on Apple Podcasts or support us on our Patreon - https://patreon.com/HistorywithJackson?utm_medium=unknown&utm_source=join_link&utm_campaign=creatorshare_creator&utm_content=copyLinkTo catch up on everything to do with History with Jackson head to www.HistorywithJackson.co.ukFollow us on Facebook at @HistorywithJacksonFollow us on Instagram at @HistorywithJacksonFollow us on X/Twitter at @HistorywJacksonFollow us on TikTok at @HistorywithJackson Hosted on Acast. Bill Maher welcomes country music superstar Kenny Chesney to Club Random for a conversation that starts with sold-out stadiums and ends somewhere much deeper. Kenny reflects on his ""hillbilly rock star"" glory days, why he's never canceled a show in nearly three decades, and the bus-ride epiphany that convinced him to stop drinking before performances. He also pulls back the curtain on creating the visuals for his record-breaking Sphere residency. Kenny gushes over Religulous, while Bill tells stories about Larry Flynt's gold wheelchair and Bill Clinton's legendary charm. Then one simple question about legacy cracks the whole conversation wide open: what happens to everything you've built when you don't have kids? 2011 was a year to remember: Osama Bin Laden got got, Game of Thrones premiered its first episode, and a young woman by the name of Casey Anthony was being tried for killing her own daughter in what appeared to be the most callous crime a mother could commit. We haven't talked about her since our series on the case in Episode 307 of the Last Podcast on the Left, but today, we're diving back into the strange and troubled world of Miss Casey Anthony and the trial that gripped the nation. They discuss the legendary artists who have championed Sheryl throughout her career—from Prince and Michael Jackson to Bob Dylan and Mick Jagger—as well as her songwriting, her secret to holding onto her money, a conversation with Kid Rock in the aftermath of a national tragedy, Bill's personal Sheryl Crow playlist, and which artist he thinks is most like his dog, Chico. Lisa Kudrow returns to Club Random for a second conversation with Bill Maher, and the Friends star proves once again why she's one of Hollywood's sharpest and most refreshingly un-Hollywood voices.Lisa reflects on The Comeback Season 3, playing a woman the industry keeps underestimating, her years at The Groundlings, and the acting teacher who taught her never to take rejection personally. Bill shares the most humiliating story of his sitcom career, working alongside Sam Kinison as drugs, chaos, and misplaced blame turned the set into a nightmare. The two compare disastrous early drug experiences, debate whether AI will reshape creativity or destroy it, discuss why Hollywood keeps making the same mistakes, and somehow spend ten hilarious minutes dissecting Spartacus. Oh—and did Lisa Kudrow just casually reveal that a Romy and Michele's High School Reunion sequel might actually be happening? Support our Advertisers: Get bugs out of your house with Pestie. Bill Maher sits down with Jeff Dunham, the world's most successful ventriloquist and one of the highest-grossing comedians of all time, for a conversation that goes well beyond comedy. From their Johnny Carson debuts to decades spent on the road, the two swap stories about success, audiences, and the strange realities of show business. Jeff shares what it's like performing the same act in places as different as Abu Dhabi and Tel Aviv, while Bill weighs in on modern politics, free speech, and the cultural shifts that have transformed comedy. Along the way, they get into Gen Z's aversion to capital letters, the disappearance of common sense, and why comedians with props still don't get the credit they deserve. Spencer Pratt joins Bill Maher on Club Random for a conversation that's equal parts mayoral campaign launch, Los Angeles postmortem, and classic Spencer Pratt reinvention tour. Spencer explains why losing his home in the Palisades fire pushed him to consider a run for mayor, lays out his ideas for homelessness, public safety, and city government, and makes the case that he might be exactly the unconventional leader Los Angeles needs—or at least the one willing to talk about it the most. Along the way, Spencer reflects on life after The Hills, receiving death threats, protecting his family, losing a thriving crystal business during the pandemic, and finding a new sense of purpose while somehow turning nearly every conversation into a campaign stop. Bill Maher welcomes legendary singer-songwriter Paul Anka for a conversation packed with stories that sound almost too wild to be true. From helping bring The Beatles to America before Beatlemania exploded, to partying with the Rat Pack in steam rooms full of Vegas showgirls, to learning of JFK's assassination while performing behind the Iron Curtain in communist Poland, Anka has lived a life that reads like historical fiction. But this isn't just Hollywood lore and old Vegas chaos. Bill and Paul dig into the craft of songwriting: why the simplest melodies last forever, what made Frank Sinatra both magnetic and impossible, and how Barry White could seduce a room with a single note. Anka also opens up about reinventing himself with his cult-classic Rock Swings album, surviving massive cultural shifts across generations, and why true artists never stop evolving. There's a whole big world out there that isn't about politics and Bill and his guests—from Bill Burr and Jerry Seinfeld to Jordan Peterson, Quentin Tarantino and Neil DeGrasse Tyson—talk about all of it. Maher won his first Emmy in 2014 as executive producer for the HBO series, “VICE.” In October of 2008, this same combination was on display in Maher's uproarious and unprecedented swipe at organized religion, “Religulous.” Maher has written five bestsellers: “True Story,” “Does Anybody Have a Problem with That? Politically Incorrect's Greatest Hits,” “When You Ride Alone, You Ride with Bin Laden,” “New Rules: Polite Musings from a Timid Observer,” and most recently, “The New New Rules: A Funny Look at How Everybody But Me Has Their Head Up Their Ass.” FOLLOW CLUB RANDOM https://www.clubrandom.com https://www.facebook.com/Club-Random-101776489118185 https://twitter.com/clubrandom_ https://www.instagram.com/clubrandompodcast https://www.tiktok.com/@clubrandompodcast FOLLOW BILL MAHER https://www.billmaher.com https://twitter.com/billmaher https://www.instagram.com/billmaher Learn more about your ad choices.
