Brahmacharya literally means ‘walking' or having ethical conduct like God. Brahma means one's own Self, ultimate unchanging reality, absolute consciousness, Divinity. Whatever is the God of your understanding. Charya – means walking, engaging, proceeding, behaving, conducting, moving or going after. So it roughly means “to stay true to one's Self or ones own Atman” or True Self/Soul. That you are walking the path of Brahma – God. However, it is mostly referred to as sexual chastity, abstinence, pure sexual conduct. Brahmacharya essentially was meant to suppress any sexual urge and of all activities leading to it. All the information I have read up upon this is directly talking to men, as Yoga was mainly practiced by men. Creating very clear boundaries of being a renunciant of sex was one of the vows which was taken to practice. It's not just abstaining from sexual acting but according to some Sages that a Yogi must refrain from the 8 forms of sexual indulgences:Thinking of sex talking about sexplaying or joking about sexlooking intensely at someone stimulating sexual urgessecret talking about sex touching with sexual intent determination or attempts of sexual actsexecution of having sexThe idea is for the Yogi to dissolve the Kleshas, cultivate Sattva Guna and reduce the Karma in this lifetime so to live a moral life as a way to end the cycle of human suffering and to reach enlightenment. To read more and to practice with Zephyr Wildman, click here. Improving intimacy requires us to unlearn harmful norms and relearn our embodied self. Tools like love languages and embodied practices can help us engage in conscious communication with partners. I THOUGHT I had gone too far, but they went and did it . . . they hired an apparent Satanist. THE THESIS: The Democrat Party is mainstreaming Satanism. Incidentally, that is NOT a thesis, that is now a fact. Original Episode LinksTHE SCRIPTURE & SCRIPTURAL RESOURCES: 1 John 5:18-2018 We know that anyone born of God does not continue to sin; the One who was born of God keeps them safe, and the evil one cannot harm them. 19 We know that we are children of God, and that the whole world is under the control of the evil one. 20 We know also that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true. And we are in him who is true by being in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.Ephesians 6:12For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. The Rank and File Of Satan's KingdomIn Ephesians 6:12, the apostle Paul presents a divine revelation he received that describes how Satan's kingdom has been militarily aligned. He writes, “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”Notice that at the top of this list, Paul mentions a group of evil spirits he calls “principalities.” This word is taken from the Greek word archai, an old word that is used symbolically to denote ancient times. It is also used to depict individuals who hold the highest and loftiest position of rank and authority. By using the word archai, Paul emphatically tells us that at the very top of Satan's kingdom are powerful evil beings that have held their lofty positions of power and authority since ancient times — probably ever since the fall of Lucifer.Paul goes on to tell us that below principalities is a second group of evil beings he refers to as “powers.” This word “powers” is taken from the Greek word exousia, and it denotes delegated authority. This describes a lower, second-level group of evil beings — demon spirits — who have received delegated authority from Satan to carry out all manner of evil in whatever way they desire to do it. These evil forces are second in command in Satan's dark kingdom.Continuing in his description of Satan's rank and file in descending order, Paul mentions “the rulers of the darkness of this world.” This amazing phrase is taken from the word kosmokrateros and is a compound of the words kosmos and kratos. The word kosmos denotes order or arrangement, whereas the word kratos has to do with raw power. Thus, the compounded word kosmokrateros depicts raw power that has been harnessed and put into some kind of order. This word kosmokrateros was at times used to picture military training camps where young men were assembled, trained, and turned into a mighty army. These young men were like raw power when they first arrived in the training camp. However, as the military training progressed and the new recruits were taught discipline and order, all that raw manpower was converted into an organized, disciplined army. This is the word Paul now uses in his description of Satan's kingdom. What does it mean? Don Stewart :: How Does Satan Keep Unbelievers in Spiritual Darkness? The Figurehead was told to appoint an apparent Satanist as the Monkey Pox coordinator. And, at this point, given his social media profiles and interviews, he will need to come and and PROVE he's not a Satanist.Benny Johnson was first out with the pictures of this guy. They are disturbing beyond belief. If you are not a Satanist why do you do everything Satanists do? Benny Johnson: “Meet Demetre Daskalakis. Demetre was just appointed by Joe Biden to be the official White House National Monkeypox Response Deputy Coordinator. Demetre proudly wears the official symbol of the Church of Satan: The Pentagram. Play Episode Listen Later Aug 13, 2021 5:29

This week on The DR & the DJ podcast, we feature B-sides to Health, with Dr. Amy LindseyToday I'm offering positive feedback, as we all could use some. I often think about how the laws of physics apply to our health & habits. The laws of inertia & momentum work together. Inertia is an unchanged state. Could be still, could be in steady motion. Momentum is what uses force to change the state. In other words, we use some momentum to change our state, & inertia will keep us steadily going... You are the external force to change. Here's 5 activities that have a positive feedback loop.1. SleepSleep begets sleep. The more we hone this craft & prioritize it, the more quality sleep we are likely to have, & the easier it becomes to get good, regular sleep.2. MovementThe more we move our bodies consistently, the more likely we are to be motivated to move. The flip side to this is: the more we stay sedentary, the more sedentary we are. The more we move, the easier it becomes.3. RestThe more we find the time & space to rest, the more we will be sure we find the time & space to rest. There are endless studies that show that productivity is proportional to how much we rest. Consider Yerkes Dodson Law. This law states that if we are Stressed & Restless, we are distracted & not productive. If we are bored & tired, we are also not productive. Being in balance of focused & engaged, in between bored/tired & stressed/restless, is the most productive. I think most people are stressed & restless & not resting ENOUGH. Give yourself some grace & permission to take a break.4. NourishmentThe more we nourish our minds & bodies, the more likely we are to choose nourishment over deprivation & shame. So what am I talking about here? Could be your relationship to food/ nutrition. You could be a victim of diet culture where you think size & shape is synonymous with healthy. Maybe you are in a cycle of diets that deprive you & then you say "fuck it" & "go off" your diet & enter a shame cycle. Or maybe this has something to do with complaining & gossiping or other habits that are the opposite of nourishment & make you feel bad. Choose nourishment.5. SexThe more we learn what pleasures us, the more likely we are to seek out pleasuring ourselves. This can be with ourselves or with partner(s). Sometimes it's about getting back in the habit of orgasms. Get a little momentum if you need by working on yourself first before involving the dynamics of a partner. You are not alone.AmyThe DR & the DJ Reminder: Nothing in this email or in this podcast is a substitute for medical or professional advice. When it comes to sex, how many times a week is considered “normal”? This is one of the most common questions I get in my DMs on social media. So many people want to know what is considered normal, or how often most people are having sex, so that they can use this as a way to see how they measure up. A lot of my clients come to me because they feel like they aren't having sex enough, either for their own preference, or that of their partners, and they think that this means something about who they are as a person. In this episode, I introduce the importance of exploring our motivations behind wanting to have sex, separating any meaning from the frequency of sex sessions, and yes, I even give you a number.  The next cohort of the Better Sex in 90 Days program is starting soon! If you are someone who is unhappy with the frequency of your sex life and you are looking to make a change, I invite you to join us in the group program. This is just one of the many topics we explore in this group. To sign up for my email list so that you are among the first to hear about the next cohort, or to learn more, go to https://daniellesavory.com/group/, or email us at: team@daniellesavory.com Topics In This Episode:Recommendations if you're experiencing pain during sexThe mind-body connection, and the relationship between our thoughts and our physical bodiesPhysical changes you may experience when you begin to prioritize your pleasureWhat studies show for average frequency when it comes to sexThere is a difference between the sex you may or may not be having, and what you are making it mean about you, your partner, and your relationshipLooking at quantity versus quality. Frequency doesn't matter if it doesn't feel good!Ask yourself: why is this important to you?Benefits of sex, both partnered and solo sex sessionsWhere to start, if you aren't at the recommended number, or if you aren't happy with the frequency As always it's been my absolute pleasure to share this with you today. Remember to be grounded in love and to be open to your partners feelings. Create a safe space for them and for you to be able to talk about this topic, which can be difficult and scary. Good luck in your conversations and I can't wait to talk with you next week.

What if you could make some changes to your diet and it would allow you to have more pleasure and better sex? This is the exact thing that I talk about with my guest on this episode, Christine DeLozier. She is an acupuncturist and holistic nutritional counselor, and she recently wrote a book on the research she has done to answer the question about the effects of diet on our sexual health. She talks about some of the physiological indicators for better sex, the truth about aphrodisiacs, and even shares her date night menu if you're looking to have better sex tonight.  Topics In This EpisodLooking at the root of the problem, not just the symptomsEvaluating a good sexual experience psychologically versus physiologicallyThe 3 key physiological factors that contribute to better sexThe role omega-3's, antioxidants, and potassium has, and good sources of these nutrientsOf course blood flow is important for men, but what about for women?Planning our meals around sex sessions Connect with ChristineWebsite: dietforgreatsex.comBook: https://www.amazon.com/Diet-Great-Sex-Female-Sexual/dp/173554521XRecipe videos on Instagram and TikTok: @dietforgreatsex As always, it has been my absolute pleasure to share this episode with you. I hope that this was helpful for you to see that in addition to examining our thoughts and our beliefs around our sex lives, there are other ways we can make it better outside the bedroom. Not only are these foods good for our bodies, they are good for our sex too. Have fun trying new recipes and having better sex!
